residency every 12 13 years or so you know but it's great to be here we like we always enjoy it coming to South America especially Brazil and to be at the rock and Rio show we're really honored to be here and closing the show as well which is the first for us so we're all really really excited you have you know lots and lots of fans here in Brazil do you realize that they're getting older and and they are bringing their chart they're their children do you feel this kind of renovation of fans how does it feel for you to look at this crowd and see young people and other people it's amazing it really is because I I know if you get a show in in Brazil called Doctor Who all right and in Doctor Who he's got a TARDIS which is an old police box and he goes zipping around for time and I said to the guys we're like a TARDIS you know we get out there and you know especially for me at the end of the show when I come out and say thank you to everybody and I look down at the front row and it's almost the same it could be that the audience went in the TARDIS and we're transported because they haven't changed in the age and you see these youngsters and you see some of the the parents with them you know like the young teenagers with with their dad sort of standing there alone it's fantastic we have you know three generations of fans now and there is just immense it really is it's a it's it's endearing and sometimes you know you think that the kids have got into the band through the parents and in fact I've met many of the fans that have actually got their parents into the bands so it's worked the other way so they've got into the band first of all and then they're playing Iron Maiden rebels and dads and mums come and go who's that do not like that who's that less or a maiden boy oh no you got a beat you know so it's really it's really amazing so it doesn't just mean that mum and dad got the kids into it it does work the other way around and that's fantastic it really is yeah yeah three four generations you know I love that old really girls but I was gonna talk about that you don't look don't look that age and you don't feel that age I believe now but there's been more than 30 years playing drums for IO Maiden that's true when you look back and you say what wow what the hell have a maid well our price too low for it might you know I mean he's given me he's given us all our health and we still have this drive and passion and I'm it's a love affair with the music you know and we still love doing what we do together otherwise we wouldn't be doing it you know it's just an immense immense feeling I mean I'm I'm 61 years old and I mean I don't feel it and as my dad said you're only as old as a women you feel or the woman you excuse me the woman you feel sorry darling you know so I'm married a younger lady said anyway that but it's it is it is great I mean we find I find it physically challenging so you know sometimes I'll come off and I'm like oh my gosh I know I've done a show and other times it's just it doesn't bother me you know but yeah we have to look after ourselves a little more than we we did in the in the past so that's that's a key to the longevity a not necessary going to a gym every I don't all right you know all I do is play drums with the band for two hours a night and go and play golf you know and a bit of swimming but you know I eat right I don't get too crazy I don't do drugs anymore boys and girls don't don't even think about it you think you play better when you're high but you don't believe me so it's important to keep yourself you know focused on what you're doing and and look I'll get get good good five or six hours sleep a night and eat well so your your drink the dropper your own beer I went on the wagon for a wee while until the trooper came out right and of course it's like just an absolutely wonderful way oh by the way boys and girls um if you want to know where you can get Wheatley it's available in Brazil now if you want to find out where you can get some if you go on iron maiden beer calm and put in your country where you live in or your city where you are it'll tell you where you can go and buy it so it all the information for the beers on there it's a fantastic drop but if you like a real ale like most British people drink drink dark beers not like lagers they do as well but you know a lot of Englishmen before real ale and it's based on that and it's been brewed for the bottle this is a very it's a 4.7 strength it will give you a kick if you have three or four of them and you have a warm you know room temperature oil kicking about and listen besides beauty I know you guys like football and the World Cup is going to be here next year yeah it's gonna be you know I wonder if any while you're touring have you ever got scared like no absolutely not no there's no what you see to be able to be certified to fly any airplane you have to go through an awful lot of training and you won't get your license unless you pass your examinations you've written and all your GFT so Bruce took it all the way and there was no no question the only trouble was one night he was in the bar till 4:00 in the morning and we were flying now I manage it because the role of flight was there eight hours from the bottle to the throttle that's that meant that if you were at dinner you could have a couple glasses of wine and there's a there was a it's like a not a breathalyzer service situation with drink driving you know you're allowed so letting your half a pint of beer and then that's it but on the tour when we did the ED Force One he would that the rule for the Civil Aviation was that he couldn't fly before twelve hours after he walks off stage so a lot of the them that we had four pilots with us for captain's on that fit on that around the world we did that three times this tour we're not using Ed Force one because it was usually we used it because of a world tour we were just kind of doing North America seven shows and getting ready for tonight and there's another five shows off with tonight so we're just using a 13 C jet you know which we child off he's not flying that but you know he's so he's so crazy about his flying I love it because these passions just it's just immense and when we were in North America last week he had a friend of his who works for company called Eclipse we should they make this what what Bruce in Bruce's words is a Barbie jet but a little little for see a jet six seats fallen back to up front right and he's he actually got certified while we were touring he learned all the systems on his plane he went go as Steve Harris said on a 666 video alright dunno what it is with Bruce whatever it is if we could bottle it and get a bit of it you know I see sad adrenaline kind of thing you know yeah I guess you guys the rest of you could stay here for days and days and the history wouldn't even begin mr.
