welcome to Aris after-hours casual conversations with inspirational speakers off the clock guys welcome back to Aris after-hours the pimba series here in Africa now I'm with some pimba legends here mama P and Poppa T also known as the Maxwells also known as Pamela and Tony Maxwell guys welcome to ours after hours you should be welcoming media together to your harvest school in Africa now I'm just gonna start with a memory we're on the back of the Kami on its 2007 we've just finished to h g5 school number 5 here mission school number 5 and we are after pull up pull up alone and how many days did we go without a shower 446 so getting to the chicken farm but you can how do eat were week when we got to the chicken farm on when everybody came the shower look like the psycho movie it did yeah I mean it was add that red tinge to it I just like it was like a swirl of red potatoes yeah and I remember I know this is right but we had goat stew one night and there were so many black hairs in that tree floating yeah yeah exactly no need to bring floss with an african floss yeah oh my gosh that was crazy playing guitar even remember we also we was talking about our each year 2007 and remember we got played up this trap and I was supposed to be a road up in the air rage and it just got skinnier and then it went to a walking track but wearing trucks yeah also known as camions if you've been eaten or a cameo knees we are going deeper and deeper in and it's getting tighter and tighter and bumpy and bumpy and then we get to the point you get to that point where do we keep going or do we stop and get out of this hole can before we get there at least I remember that yeah and this tree branches tree braces came in can those spearing people this is looks like a shish kebab remember also do you remember this memory I have I think this is the same marriage it could be different but one of the passes could be we pick up a lot of local passes with this as we go one other life is passes were eating a lot of Matata and what up was this white root vegetable and for some reason he was because it was so bouncy he was getting a little bit carsick Oh camión sick and all of a sudden we had a white house it was all the sudden there was a whiteout and stop the truck we're gonna clean this out Victor there was a little bit tough everywhere like on a goat trail and then it start going downhill and we had and I said well we can stop and we can carry the generators and all that stuff a couple miles and we can get there and we we mapped out yes and you bought like everything there's a farm it's a little piri piri salt the hottest salt and puah province and I can remember we would go into a village and children had never seen white yes it was runoff screaming in terror regime because they'd never seen yeah why out with me why a little pull up on that one I remember that it was the most yes such a bonded town with our Mozambique and family I mean for Carlos and egg yes and Rafa yeah yes and who is that cameo driver um he drives a bus here and pimpernel no no I um the real crazy driver what was his name beginning I got a picture of an hour post party he had the big teapot begin to become Arabic teapots over at the Pebble Beach Hotel I forget his name but that was hilarious and then we ministered in a church I remember ministering a church with a cap Ilana we're singing a song reach together yeah that was when they would just tell us that morning even though that yes I was speaking yeah Lord just I just asked the Lord for a download of what's something that we can share that they can really grab hold and keep and take home with them and he just showed me the picture of the Mamas how they wrap their babies in the kettle on this is the value of a cap Alana in the Mozambican culture to a womanís it's what they use for everything is yogurt they're jacking their towel they're their bedspread it's everything baby carry their baby carrier but just the picture of the mama carrying the baby how they just they do all their full-on work I carry tons of stuff on their head while they're babies they release we go around to the front to nursing swing him back around the front and carry on with the life they don't slow down but there was something about that that we shared you were playing it's like this is the anointed chords that you just kept playing and I was just sharing it that Jesus wants directive in his can every bit of nurture that you need all the protection all the nourishment everything that you need just as his mama wraps the baby yeah comes to wrap us whoa just to wrap us and hold us tenderly cares for us and that we can just so close we can hear his heartbeat just like this baby's no ask is that right next the power and I've told that story many times because I just feel it's so real in our lives today no matter what kind of bush pusher city city we live in yeah well that's the way Jesus wants to hold us well as close and tinder is that mama yeah tied to her baby whoa [Music] everything that baby I'll tell you why I've got I've got even more of a rebel now that I kids see think I've got more of a revelation of that tenderness and that first it says I come with my kids to think oh my god of course God's a father he wants to cut off me like that because I'm right in there I love these little boys that God's given me so yeah I totally understand that even to another level now mm-hmm how do you guys do it how do you guys do how many years is a beard now I mean that was I mean that was 2007 is 2017 now that was ten years ago oh my gosh that was ten years ago and like almost in a couple weeks it's oh it's gonna be ten years these stories were he's been talking about that's nuts and you guys have been in we've ran with you and ran the school here for a few years 2009-2010 and then meet Sarah oh my gosh this was amazing but the busiest of our lives and you guys oh my gosh I came here as a legends 2006 it was yes you didn't have a tree in news over to number two the second school that we had here in Tampa and we'd gone for our 20th anniversary on the cat's away cruise with Heidi and Roland Oh Roland is that the ministry and we first time I met Heidi was in Brownsville when they were having this huge revival tell you again mm wait with hope woman's come it's called I've heard about this I've never been anything like that Heidi Patricia keen and Stacey and some of those amazing women of God were there and it was a time when hiding couldn't stand up in America to speak hmm the Lord was breaking the spirit of religions and anytime she got up to share the Lord would just buckle her knees and she would fall down on the floor had never seen anything like that it was like I was like Jesus but by the end of the message the whole huge place of women I mean thousands of women were on their face crying out to Jesus and I was saying Jesus I don't I don't want to be her but whatever she has with you after had yeah it's not my whole life every time he's pulled back the curtains to show me a little more but there's more there's there's more there's deeper that it's like I've run full and hot pursuit of him even as a child my parents would study call me a fanatic because I would roam the hills and the mountains Jesus and have all these spots and just sit and talk to him it's just the story of how he just continues to draw a steep in his life yep deeper into intimacy so after that time Heidi said in the middle of Jamaica we're just in a worship parade through Jamaica with Georgian been off oh yeah Heidi not ended this part of the cruise we do village outreaches in the islands and give out clothes and we have healing tins and prophesy tents and ministry and worshipping it was amazing how oh there you go you see how it feels a bit dark I could get the light up a little bit yeah comer until that but that was the time Heidi invited me to come to Mozambique she says I want you to come to us Wow and he connected with me with her a few times after that and the Lord just said me on a journey set me apart on a journey after that time I met her in Florence Alabama he'd sent me by myself and connected with her spiritual mom and really was it important mom in my life - after that oh yeah the Vincennes you know what are you what do you want yeah fireball Pentecostal preacher woman in the depths of Alaska just amazing amazing women had such an impact and Heidi fly so it was just those moments he kept connecting us in and and I have had friends who kept coming to Mozambique with Michael and golf for different ten days and I said I know I know it says to go for longer than that it's not much I'm waiting yeah and I just kept reminding Jesus Jesus you know it's on my heart and just just reminding him yeah and I knew there was gonna come a time and so when Heidi asked me to come to Mozambique I went back and filled out the harvest application holy given at that time and knowing that she wasn't the one who made those decisions it that there was a group of people who did that but about three weeks later I got the email saying you've been accepted I could only bring the first sentence and I cried for an hour saying Jesus I can't believe you've given me such a gift come on and I came and spent the summer there and was totally going forever at that time we were in a tent a very even really white circus tent yeah and the wind would blow in the tent would shake and and and it would just blow dirt all over us we would lose our tan every day wash did our bucket back but it was the glorious yeah it's like I tell the students now we bring you here to die in the dirt whoa time of death and reservation yeah where you lay your life down any raises you are here yes Toby came at the last last few weeks you might want to share about that journey I came I came to Macy's be sure that she came home been here for 37 years before he came here and so I came to vaccinate the horses that were here oh come on he out under that and then I I brought ruff will believe fifty thousand doses of rabies vaccine not not quite that many but a bunch of rabies vaccine so I was gonna vaccinate every cat and dog in Mozambique oh good I came to work yep and so we'll heart were still he was a missionary here mmm and so he got signed to me because anytime somebody came in was medical or anything like that Heidi would give them a tender and be sure you really got to do something and so I remember well and I drove all up in the villages up behind the base in a Land Rover trying to find people that had dogs and cats amongst the motor beacons up there and we spent all day and sometimes we did vaccinate three or four cats no I am cats for pets and you can even catch a cat there to stay alive they had to be quite mobile we didn't catch very many cats so that was my first taste of Kimba I got I got I flew in to pemba I got hung up in Beira the plane broke oh my gosh and oh yeah Ellie yeah i sat in the Bayer Airport for 16 hours I have that was back before I cellphones and all that kind of stuff will comment so this is I have no phone I have no way to communicate and Jim that strict Africa huh my first trip to Africa oh I got that five bags and everything I'm thinking everybody's going to steal my stuff and so I'm sitting there in the Bayer Airport just about when your body wrapped around the bags nobody's gonna get my stuff sitting there you're just looking at everybody to be sure they don't take your stuff so I always at the airport waiting for him got all dressed we're gonna meet haven't seen you for what five or six and was welcomed in and set the mood nobody came and nobody came and that of course the airport people aren't gonna give you a if not back then was just like so I walk Dean it was air-conditioned even the first part you walk in was like well you do the passport it was air conditioned what cuz I'm used to going in there and you were sweating us right away yeah it's so hot yeah so I end up finally there's a I think she was a German lady that had a Tropican phone I was able to get through the Pamela and I said well we're flying in you know they're gonna get us there to in the morning it's no panel of his own that she was with some of the long-term missionaries and they said no they don't fly in here at night and I've said that from that flights that was before night fly some pin burgers so panel or something they're saying no not to get on that point set you up in a motel tonight you come tomorrow and so the manager of the airport was sitting next to me you know because they were giving this a refresh go and some chips or something to eat and so I told her I said they're saying don't fly you know that yep you don't fly because they don't fly nice and this lady said we are tonight not throw family said they are tonight they said no so I ended up flying in out here got here like 2:30 in the morning lit into the pin Bay Airport know like there's people out there like with flashlights oh my gosh we know she run there because you wouldn't know what's on though coming in LA so it was really really crazy we were hoping we weren't crashing a block party I mean we had I mean anybody could've been out there waving lights from that oh plane oh that was and so I got into bed that night about 3:30 in the morning now when staying in the same house as Pamela did and so I was in the house of I think there's like 48 Koreas it seemed like 48 Koreans the one that minute spoken English and that's where I was living so I'm coming in as an introvert and I'm moving into a house of Koreans in Korean leader I freaked out Koreans are like frame people so I get there three there up like it before like praying in tongues your Korean or something very loudly and then payload ranks me off to a meeting with Heidi to sign up to be a long-term missionary morning and so so she's like yeah that's on so she sends me on outreach she know have been on that routes so she sends me off with people I don't even know to go to a village outreach it says like and I'm here sitting here I'm just like yes I mean everybody's already clicked up and so and I'm I'm just I wouldn't is an introvert I'm just not even gonna connect with these people so I'm just sitting on the back the tracks and this really stuff this is not fun oh and with kids out in the village and you know there's like all the people and so I stayed I think I stayed with the tents that night I said over there if his crowd I want to stay method tennis so I was the GAR and so I went to you know after everything he's done I got lieutenant went to sleep woke up the next morning and unzipped my Tina and there's roughly 5,000 kids outside my tent about three feet away oh and there's like this backup and I stay in my tent until I've breathed all the oxygen out of it there's no oxygen left I'm gonna die and I'm sweating is hot you know not hoping up to ten and mercifully all the five thousand kids had left except for one one little boy I bet this high and he was using the bathroom on your tape right right by my table all right we have safe house now I know where my wife wanted us on that forever it's perfectly obvious now for sure you know and I'm saying wow this is like a little bit of a culture shock for me I know I mean coach looks real yeah so that was like my first two or three days in come on so you're a seasoned pro both um you go to in fit 2007 you come back the next year and you put on out of our reach yeah so you were used to that yeah a hard life yeah and that was a year then about 2006 that people running home a given that it has Pamela to be on their admin team and do the student selection oh okay that's how that's how we got really linked with the school right because then I thought wow God really loves me because she can do missions from her living room on the internet during the day and you need to read the bank account depending on the requirement reading list hey what just kept straight United States yeah you know was it our plan I never dreamed that we would be living in Mozambique but there was something significant that happened in the church I was going to in Nashville there was this real elderly prophet lady who came and shared one day and one of the things she said I really grabbed hold of in the spirit she talked about how she had asked God to put her on the cutting edge of what he was doing just to really grab told her that and I started praying that praying that I'm gonna be on the cutting edge of what you're doing I've always had this hunger for the very maximum of God you know I just want to be you know melded into him mmm and consumed by him possessed by Holy Spirit and she started talking about that and it's I started praying it I want to be on the cutting edge of what you're doing but I'm gonna be in the shallows I don't want to be in the on the bank yeah I want to be over my head you know in the waters deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper till I'm just swept away in you Jesus and I ended up in Mozambique and I really think there's a connection to that prayer on the cutting edge of what he's doing and in the Lord just as the Tony step-by-step Toni Toni always shares if we had life hymns mine will be I'll fly away in his will be I shall not move you would tell the story about what happened in your office that day was agonizing over how it was gonna work financially how we were gonna live you know how we been to live how we what it looked like to live by faith and yeah you know without a job and a profession that he's done for 37 years oh yeah that's huge that's huge yeah we had our we had our at least I have I have my plan you know I can walk by sight with the best everyone you know as long as I can have a plan and I can see that work you know I'm pretty much good to go and in 2007 when we were here that was when people running wholly given decide they're going a different direction then Pamela didn't feel inclined to leave with him and so Heidi asked Pamela she thought she could run her school and Pamela being fairly dauntless said yeah I think I can do this and so how do you sit did that do so you'll need your husband and so we were we were we were here I was here at that time too well that was after I got here and so we were faced with wow what does it look like because obviously we're not to be here before that time you're not gonna be able to do all that from your living room and so we determine we were gonna do that so in 2008 you know there would be the first schools that you know we like led from the front we'd been part of the admin part of it from from fall of 2006 and so we were we were coming but it was you know to walk away from from your business you know for for you know five or six months out of the year ha spinning back and expect to practice you and continue on I think we roll on you as a fail because they leave all you need to be there you know that I've fallen out of it I've been there for you for 37 years there's a real rural community and zombie large-animal practitioner for probably 30 or 35 miles you know just about every direction so I covered a big piece of territory when I went on the farm cost and so we were determined to come and so this was probably March or April 2008 I'm sitting in the office and yeah I was having one of those deals were you know Satan was beating up on me this doesn't look like what a you know a reasonable adult human being would be doing to just marks off to Africa and do something completely that that you know neither one of us had the expertise or you know qualifications you know in a you know educational sense of running a school and so I was just oh this is nuts how's this going how does it gonna work and I've been there for 37 years people knew that worked on dogs cats horses and cows yeah I didn't work on logee's I didn't work on Terrapins I didn't work on snakes durables guinea pigs you know I just didn't do that galleries boundaries and so that morning I was having this I was just just I don't know if I really wanted a - you're not if I'm really you know pull the trigger on this yeah and the phone rang that morning and you know I work by myself I didn't have a receptionist or anything and I answered the phone those lady was on the phone she was just having a meltdown yeah she was crying she was like you know hyperventilating I mean it was pretty pretty intense and so I finally asked her I said well what seems to be the problem she finally collected herself enough and she's sitting it's my ferret all right sure cut I wrote my fare it's your ferret I said I didn't like fears I didn't tell her this but you know I thought of ferret was like sort of an elongated rat they've been Rogaine so I didn't I didn't thank you okay that's just something like she hate girl yeah so so you know I was raised in the south innately polite and you say over what what's the problem with your ferret and she's she collected herself again it's constipated and so I say you know the setting or this I was having this whole thing about what makes sense about going and this lady called up and so I talked her through the problem and then I hang up you know take the phone off and I even start laughing because it's just like God said okay max well here's the deal you know here's your options yeah option number one you can stay your own cruise ship America where the problem does you were is a constipated ferret or you can go to Mozambique and be part of the history-making move of God whoa is your choice I love you let me know at that point you know it's just like God you know really spoke to me in a way that I could understand it yeah and so I said okay if we're gonna we're gonna do this well so we came for 2008 and we were here for that entire year and and just in taste anticipated going back you know to home and work you know for months for four or five months and Thunder sell food through that and that was during the time when rolling was 600 Nate that summer I took care of him a lot and you know cooked me ORS me sure you took his medications and all this sort of thing and at the end of 2008 yeah then I think is like the night before we left for home you know the house and said you know you know Rollins been sick and he used to take keep up with all the bases and such and he's not able to be that right now and they asked us to to be like she called international field coordinators or something like that oh yeah yeah so we were gonna be the liaison between all the bases in the Baker's on that and so we said well sure we can do that it's not like what reviews like 13 months so your job to make Harvey still go and so we said well we'll go home and work for months and then travel you know the basis of his visit the bases on the way back this is what Spartacus you've been to so many countries and bases around the world yeah yeah yeah you have a lot yeah and so it was really the start of that how many catches you up to you okay next podcast yeah yeah you should get a list and write them down I'm up seventeen eighteen bussiness so so many others that go into missions you think you have to have that plan for me anyway yeah I have to have that plan that worked on the paper because that's just the way you know I approach life yeah I want to see it works in all right and so I thought okay we'll go home open practice up and work for four months live a little bit leaner than we anticipated and they have enough money to fund ourselves that was so you really didn't have to rely on God too much basically I mean I mean you have to you know your whatever profit I made in practice their God obviously was in that but but you think and I'm working I'm doing this yes and so we went home with that and so I was opening the practice back up and you know putting in the paper that goes back and you know making informs and hold it and so we've been back maybe a week or two tops and Heidi calls the house says ok you as our international field coordinators now and we're having meetings here in Pemba first week of February and you need to read all the Mesa leaders and so we need you in Pinto and so at that point in time then my little plan just sort of went out the window and you're saying in a while okay I got a really reliable God here over seven a concept for especially for funding so we had we have no idea we didn't have be scary yeah really boss cuz we didn't or didn't have time to sell the practice yep or lease it out so basically we were just walking away from new most practice that we were going down me cuz you sell it at it's pink so you make you perfect yeah you guys sell you pick cuz it twice L five months of no useless like nobody's gonna buy it not Kelantan so we were basically walking away from our retirement because with you so much when you when you retire your most private practitioners are doing at least fun part of their retirement so they visit their practice that just went out the window and we had we get like not any support we didn't have a sending Church or who that kind of thing but so we decide we're going and we've met some people in Kentucky there's a little prayer Center in Princeton Kentucky there's a Methodist Church and we've met some people there and I met a guy there that probably had 15 minutes of conversation with what twice Wow and then he calls the house what you said now I hear you guys are going to my daddy we're not gonna get to see you you know like we haven't in the past year when we came home we said yeah we got to live here just in a couple weeks and peace of all how are you gonna do that soon you have no clue he said well how much do you think it's gonna cost you this year to do that I said well you know we've got to fly I mean we were buying our own tickets and all that yes if we said we've got a flight of you know Brazil Africa and all these places I said I'm serious I'm saying it's gonna probably cost us $30,000 this year he said well said how much support do you have as I said well we have we have one lady that says it's $50 from Earth and he said well if you'd done the math I said I've done the math about 46 I've recharged my batteries I've done the whole thing and it comes out of that comes up $600 and he said oh you're still going that's it we're gone come on said well we love you guys we love iris and we've been blessed this year whatever the difference is between what you raise and the $30,000 worth of this year and so we have like one phone call from somebody we barely knew and he sent us the actors $7,500 every three months that year oh my goodness yeah it's over you know God was faithful to to provide four by fours yeah and when we had no way you're really making it work and you know he's done the same thing and of course you know every year since there's Christ the Lord then and and he you are 10 years later so what what is the most exciting thing if you guys about running the harvest school I think it's seen a transformation in the students yeah I mean I'm going I tell them you know their parents are gonna want a fingerprint when you get home you just say to see if you're the same person wow they're so transformed we have a lot of families who comes children from I know and you've got a whole accommodation section for families and set up with rooms and houses to accommodate families so we having this current school eight families I think the last school I might have eleven families but we have families are just as transformed as the parents yes even though they're running around like it's good news right I'm just watching these body Jason yeah this punch is if they are just very I can just see the transformation you know and watch the anointing fall upon the children whoa what did the schools there was incredible time with Tony and Ron frame for the children at that maybe a couple years ago I think you hear before laughs yes I did some interviews and some of the kids had it in calais yeah you know that was an amazing morning it was just we just amazing like that like Chad whether we were going in or out or never going out for lunch after after his session that morning and one of the parents have been wanting us to your friend for the kids inside we said okay well I think that might've been the school yeah like 39 kids all week they're about 35 kids say wow that's a lot of yes we had we a lot of kids a lot of families yes sir we were just gonna just pass by pray for him and we weren't even doing anything very formal cuz we were doing sets of spirits what we're going to lunch and so we use Jimmy he's about this tall maybe four or five years old nice went by and just touched him on the head and say God bless Jimmy if he dropped like a sack of rocks and he was just like that he tried to pull himself up on the chair handle and he couldn't do it and he just down again Wow and then we started praying for kids and neighbors all the Holy Spirit was just testing all these kids in the time it was all down they were all in one big pile for about 45 minutes I've never seen that forty-five minutes they were just like a quivering mass of humanity and then some of those kids got up and started running around Jimmy one of them started going around praying for people or just you know getting really touched by the Holy Spirit it was just really really you know the presence of God came in that morning it was just and they were just seeing visions yeah crazy right in the whole school I mean the kids are running around praying for the students and the students were laid out everywhere Wow their parents were crying yeah because they said if nothing happened us at all they are to see our kids absolutely gets better Holy Spirit lights so it's just they said it's worth everything we're going to to be here absolutely just for that whoa I think you've seen the transformation in people that come yeah and then and then even beyond that you know like this week you know we've got the International you know the Irish global family gathering yeah and to see people come in that are serving you know an IRA space or started in outer space or something that come into the hip today you know like cloudy or Miriam and they came in today and just to see you know people that are out on the mission field yeah you know started right over here in the school that that's pretty seasoned yeah yeah to see that Jamie such a joy just to see if they come in is their transformed and many times the Lord I don't know what they're gonna do next I don't know what the next step is but sometimes in the process the Lord just breaks their heart for a nation or group one of our dear ones that had the story it was a land latest part of the school maybe even graduation day I can't remember for sure but Carolyn had this howdy it said God's gonna get some new visions where is calling you and this time God's gonna give you visions and Carolina had this addition laid out on the floor in the church that a baby's being thrown in the dung mat against I mean it's so impacted her that she changed her ticket and flew to Madagascar after the school it was true it was true they didn't have any place to put these babies they're just hauling them away and she's a baby magnet she was always carrying around a baby you're in school and she spent two years preparing I'm super preparing we sent her to different bases she would stay for several months here several months here several months here at training really learning every part of what it means to lead a base to to have a Children's Center and she has now two bases yeah and many children it's just such a beautiful story of how how they come through harvest school encounter God get impacted get healed yeah from whatever they journey they walk through in life radically filled with the fire and I mean the compassion yes a tenderness of God to see what he sees and feel what he feels that they can go out and touch what he touches yeah and it's just those stories it's like that's why we keep doing what we're doing what we see them going coming in broken wounded hurt by the things of the world and God comes in with practical healing and transformation and impartation and and just opens the doorway for them to go into the nation's it's such a joy honor that we have just to be a little part of this yeah we have about 250 to 350 students and staff usually between 25 and 35 nation Wow at the harvest school here twice a year with speakers who come in from all of the world most of them pay their own way because they they get so impacted by the board the visitors our visitor center stays overflowing doesn't school time because they are hungry God is it's like the present morning came the glory the power it's not just to see miracles no but it's it's actually looks like God is here what is the best isn't it you want to be where he is when he touches you can't come here and leave the same no you can't come as a student as a visitor as a speaker and leave the same so for us it's that that transformation where God picks up picks up the wounded and brings love and transformation to their lives and sends him out to the multitudes to the least of these to the ones the world is gone thrown away people that come here they carry that passion Heidi and Roland carry yeah it's we love all the ministry schools but it's different in the way from from ministry schools as it's a Missionary Training School and people come the radical hungry patterns you know out-of-the-box ones that don't fit into it maybe a regular Church situation or would never be accepted by a mission organization but they come here and it's like we we want we believe God can use everybody yeah we believe that he will do that there's nobody 230 mollified yes so from being used of God powerfully in the world and we've seen them come in and they start basis and they go into the the most broken thrown away places where nobody will go like Miss Amy moved into the inner city of Jackson where the police won't go the pizza man won't deliver every day it's like we have we have those that are called to the most broken darkest places to lay down their lives oh we've had it called the school of the martyrs well where these people come to really lay their lives down on the altar in the dirt to put their ears to the doorpost yeah you don't hear something I hear I come to be your handmaiden your bonds lean my life first that the Lord gave me before I came to Africa was when David came to Abigail and she bowed with her face to the ground and said Here I am your handmaiden ready to serve you and wash the feet of my master servants so that's been my passion mm-hmm to be a handmaiden and that's I feel like what the kind of students and the kind of people he brings in because that's what hiding and rolling are there there are these amazing humble super anointed but full of the tenderness and compassion they're real down to earth they don't consider themselves better than anybody no and we all come in under that banner and the students coming into that banner and are raised up as these lay down mothers it's powerful possess the Holy Spirit to go and pour out his passion and compassion to the ends of the earth we've seen people we've taken teams and we send out teams after every school yes outreach is what's it how each is incredible these are the nations we send one to UM to Israel for forty days after every school you send them to places that that we can't even get into normally God opens the door we're going to come on go after this school taking teams into places that can email all the way home go again that's true because we first talked since 2007 yeah Herbert shared in class today about his first trip they sent me he was 18 19 years old and like we believe we believe in these people they said that he sends a student we believe it sees alumna they go out to the nation's that go back into their universities that go back into the inner cities that go back into the highways and byways there was a cool story when we were in Minnesota our sons there is a medical doctor with five little boys whoa and he had taken Toni to a ball game yeah Joni if I was there in the springtime or follows the Minnesota Twins major league baseball team were playing the Shane would give us tickets or to go to a ball game and we were walking from the car park to the baseball field and I looked down the sidewalk in there is that there's three or four girls praying for somebody it was obviously blind he had a white cane and you know dark glasses and everything that got to'd my said black person people praying for somebody up there that's interesting and then we got up there and it was a Harvard School alumni right there on the sidewalk outside of Target Target Field in Minneapolis thousands of people walking by just blind person and here this girl was ran into her friends I knew her I told my son I said I know that girl she spend hours go he said you're kidding you don't know watch this and whatever then she had her eyes closed frien I mean that she was going for it not tapped her on the shoulder and she didn't look at she might have think about it as a police going on roust her out you know for for being a public nuisance or something and then I tapped on the shoulder again I said go Harvard School and she looked up and and that's got excited but that's that's what happens with people you know they go home with a with an attitude change they don't see they don't see the poor they don't see the sick yeah is this blending into the background you know just you know you know like potted plants and trees they they see them as an individual and they seem as an opportunity you know for God to glorify himself and yeah I had somebody's life and witnessed to himself you know even compassionate advice if you know that is amazing we took a team to Myanmar I think it's 2010 oh and we were going with a team from Jackie Bollinger's in in Hong Kong and so we were in Hong Kong and they wanted to take us to see downtown Hong Kong was that the eat Jackie pelagic cake in school no it was the yacht it was a year after that yeah it was a year after the that Jackie was here and so so he took us to downtown Hong Kong and we had like I think five or six people on our team I've been six people on their team so we're there and we come around a corner and we run into just like the dirtiest human being I've ever seen in my life or Helena I've never seen anybody else is dirty is this man was I mean his hair you know it was just it was spiked before it was trendy you know it was just every which direction just greasy and just stuck up there it's like he'd rolled him in coal dust or sit the ashes just had that great power all over he didn't have any shoes on no shirt is in his shorts were just barely covering anything it was like nearly naked got there in the middle of pristine Hong Kong prosperous Hong Kong and our harvest goal and now they just got out of timber so they saw that and they say I mean they just like homing in he was like this guy was gonna be their target and so they just run towards him and they sort of figure out its shoe size and all this and they're talking to him so one of them goes off to get some flip-flops somebody else goes you know give him your shirt and some pants somebody else is going for food and water and stuff and by the time they came back we had a crowd of two to three hundred people gosh gathering around us definitely wondering what we were doing what they had no thread you know for what five words you talk to this person that's of course I mean you know obviously this guy just like why would you bother and and just through that process of clothing and feeding and giving you something to drink you know people start asking questions and you've got to share the gospel right here on the streets of Hong Kong just just through you're ministering to somebody to couldn't do anything for us yeah there's no way he'd ever go pay anything bad but you know used to tend to tend to his needs that's just it was just a huge huge witness for you know for the people watching them it no it also just shared the transformation that happens with people coming through in you know listening they're rolling and how you teach and just absorbing that that compassion and seeing other people's is the amazing image of Christ yeah and no no better or worse than that ups and that's just you know it's huge to see that happen in somebody's life I didn't say father's thirty-nine and so when I see you know people come here that are 18 to 26 28 you ever probably our main demographic to see to see their life being shaped you know by the Beatitudes and you know Philippians and you used to cannot eat the experience you know Christ had and that to be our experience to see that happen in people that are that age I remember when I was 24 what a piece of work I was I would have been you know if it was like a top five for jerks in the world when I was 24 I would have been I would have been knocking on the then I would been knocking on it but I would have been running and to see to get to be a part of people you know that age group does it so yeah getting it and choosing to lay their life down in choosing to see that that those values are or Kingdom values yeah in their daily values are not something used to do on a Sunday you know soup kitchen exact gonna do yeah it's the way I might live every day this is the way you can look at people every day that's I think for us that's probably we still look at each other at least once a week and say wow can you believe we get to do what we get to do yeah with the people we get to do it with it's pretty nice I mean people would pay to get to do what we get to do yeah so we're just like completely humble yeah we get to be any any any part of this Wow yeah it's really such a joy and honor and just to get to be a part of what God is doing here mm-hmm I feel like it's it's not about us at all yeah I prayed for years for a humility that can't be shaken can't be puffed up can't be tucked down it didn't walk in the full fullness of who he's created us but yet yeah you know with the humility do is carried one of the thing Heidi prayed that we can see she prays for the students to be able to see just like this girl saw the blind got here to be able to see you know not just run around in our busy schedule in life stopping for the one just looking them in the eyes hearing there aren't sharing the love of Jesus even if it's just a moment as you're passing through the gas station yeah with someone it you know it doesn't have to be an hour each time but just that we truly love people all along the journey of our day and then we have opportunity to do that so much here with hundreds of thousands of people and the children yeah yeah living in clothes cold culture well international community you know there might be no it did 14 people squeezed into one house yeah it have a very tight quarters it yeah it's really a time to to die even which we call that the lab the house of living living in the house babies like a lab isn't it now we almost have a time but did these four questions that we ask every guest and at the end okay says favorite movie the talking was my favorite movie shame Oh shame I love that movie that is like one of my favorite that's a classic movie do you know in university we watch that as a classic piece of cinema to deconstruct it yeah there's so much in about American culture at the time filmmaking and everything so I saw that as an as an a know you very soared as a kid enough I started as an had on years later I'm like wow amazing oh I've seen it is that I've seen and there's an adopter yes that's a very famous video I really enjoyed that yeah come on I'm excited on you yeah but you know P no no I can't even I'm not much of a living person okay what have you seen wonderfully she's really the actress it's Israeli ah yeah and she did the film for $300,000 and the missus if movies made 160 something million already Wow yeah I'm gonna give her a bonus I know make sure that but she's happy you didn't get but yeah it's it's really good film Wow it's one of those films it's quite inspirational and clean very clean yeah good good show so a picture I think about that when you get back this probably seen him is somewhere down here [Laughter] yeah okay if you could do another profession what would it be dream profession there were no rules it's used to do anything maybe this is you doing maybe this is it right now what they have over I don't be there liked have been a professional baseball player or professional cyclist Wow true friends kind of radiation come on again if you be brought in Utah yeah I did competitively very see until 10 years ago no yeah yeah remember you talk about the years ago yeah I'd love to do I'd love to get a good bike and do some it's a long-distance riding with you fun could you give punch out 10 20 miles before breakfast hang mm-hmm go to block good roads come on thanks for American cricket hmm even with me I don't want to be in a tabernacle I'm trying to clean it up I'm a peddler girls yes yeah I just had such a passion for its prisons or intimacy with Jesus yeah after I'd had the time at Brownsville Jesus set me apart for 18 months circle aside and just be with him I walked in the mountains during the day then he taught me about intimacy and intercession and that's I love that's my love that's my passion [Music] yeah deepest deepest rounds like that as a profession right there do you guys have a favorite sound just some sound that you really love to hear sound into [Music] a sound of the nations when we go into countries it's like there's a sound that he's longing to hear is the sound of the bride brought of searly honor the bride of Brazil fraud these nations if you go into it I love to do intercession in those places and just really pray for the sounds of it at least sound of a church really released fragrant different Oh almost I can tell in the first two notes of music what it cares and I'm drawn into those just carry his presence the 90mm god I can really sensitive to Holy Spirit I can feel and hear and just know that instantly there [Laughter] come on I'm gonna be with the hearts the cellos and elbows go on it's really it's really come out of the land that you're all it's really unique yeah that hot land part of America there's yeah it's it's part of you property music come on there's blue eyes that blue shirt yeah this is the last question when everything's said and done and your life on Earth is over and you've left these bodies behind and yeah at the pearly gates and there's Jesus what do you want to hear him say to you that first face-to-face encounter look at me I know you I know you did you hear about last year on the outreach when Artie Kendall was here have you heard this story no tell us talk to you real quick Artie Kendall was here he was just here he got here on a Monday and then leave on Thursday so he couldn't go on outreach and we were having our staff harvest or staff meeting and he was all her staff introduced themselves to him and he was sharing and he just really really really touched being here better you said he was just really good at that he did didn't get to own that reach yeah and so I asked him I said where did you hear about you know what happened on that rich is this wicked he said no I haven't heard it was the first first week and so so one of the team shared you know they you know prayed for some deaf people and they got healed then they've gone down the elsewhere in the village to pray for some other people said what see you you just left him and let me set up if I saw somebody deaf healed I still be there you know talking to him or whatever goes I don't see that in London you know where he spends about half the year and then one of the other girls shared he she was sitting next to him and she had a little nose stud in little nose diamond and when she did introduced him herself to him he'd made a little bit of fun at her said you know does that notice that nose ring get you anywhere you know he was being funny it wouldn't be mean but and so you say and ryoshu sheriff what happened on your outreach she said well we run up in a hut and we'd pray for either a blind person or a deaf person and they got healed and they came out and there was a lady running through the village screaming you know tearing at her clothes pulling her hair was crying sobbing and they finally got her stopped and other translators radish with what was wrong and they said you her son had died earlier of the day and he's like five years old and so they said well can we go pray for him and they finally said uh you know okay you can go Frank and so he went back to this little mud hut and oh gee mom was coming up and you'd pronounced the board dad they already had him wrapped up to bury and you're he's already cold and stiff and all that and so they went in and prayed for him and they prayed for me for about five minutes and all of a sudden you see and start moving bruises arms that he's little sits up Wow and the father comes in in seizes serve sitting up in bed you know they come to dig up old fourth you know takes his little hat off of those it on the ground says I don't want that don't want that god that's the only time madam become aware of it in you bite the harder school reading mindfully Webster prayed for somebody did hear that cuz it's been rice that has been raised from the dead so our Savior system it's a girl yeah yes we're actually anything a story to you that moment about that so that will be out look out for that on the YouTube channel that story will be coming out amazing isn't it yeah yeah you just never know and was funny yeah it was just when the village chief it just because they village shoes have to pronounce someone dead no he just came out said yes he's dead and then back they were I think they have given property for her church what yeah yeah that was a scheduled outreach but even this week we had some guys that were gonna be in a wedding and they went up to the village back behind the center to the tailor's and on the way back in the village there was a mama that hollered at him to come pray for my friend and they went over and pray for their friend not an outreach not in a village immersion not on any scheduled event with school but just going out into the village and they pray for the friend who was blind and and God oh my gosh as we go come on healing come on come on to do it hey heal the sick raise the dead you know I heard something really crazy about raising the dead the other day yeah it was Dan Balz talking about and I'd never thought about eyes before but he said Jesus actually commands us to raise the dead so it must mean that some people get taken before their time because why would Jesus want you to raise people from the dead if yeah that must mean some people aren't meant to die when they do die so we're gonna come in any because us to do that heal the sick raise the dead plenty leper so that's amazing and it's happening here at this school oh Jesus ma P Papa T let's pray for these guys play for our audience a lot of your students are out there watching a lot of future students are watching yeah so I just released a blessing for us and they're our heroes you know these guys that come in and they get ratalie tips radically touched and they go out the Luna mm and they go out and they pray for the blind person the baseball game and they go out and they start basis in places where babies are thrown into dumpsters no they go out to the most broken places just want to say you guys are our heroes we're really proud we just really have been impacted in our lives in our walk with Jesus by the students and the staff who have been here have gone out to change the world the love of Jesus well it's our whole life at once we were at a place in Kentucky once and the minister put this huge basket out in the floor they were talking about offerings to God and this little four year old girl when it stood nice and God spoke to me it's like he doesn't look what's just in her pocket he doesn't want our finances but he wants a whole holy gift we're had a clean lay down before him everything we are everything we have yeah all of us all of our plans and dreams that we step into the basket we say here we are yeah Sydney here we are usually here we are in Jesus whatever you want to do with this little life with this little vessel how do you want to pour it happy way for your glory all this for your garage so they don't see me but they see yeah but they don't hear me but they hear you that's that's what Jesus is that's what he's doing through these mission schools that's what he's doing with these alumni who have gone back out to their homelands and to the nations of the world and we just want to say we're so proud of it's just been such an honor to get to walk with you and continue the journey with you in Jesus and we just want to pray over you now yes for those of you who have been there for those of you who may be seeing this hearing about our for the first time it's like he knows you he sees you there's no place you can escape from Islam there's nothing that can snatch you from your father saying so we just asked Jesus but you pour out your spirit pour out your presence wrap them in your catalana tie them to yourself like the Mamas carry the babies with everything they need even now with the help they need but the finances they need but more importantly with the relationship with you the with the intimacy in the passion and the fire with the hunger we just release hunger fresh hunger to these who live but maybe got busy and caught up in the motions of the world and the noise and hurry and crowds and we just asked that they hear the wooing but they hear the sound of the bridegroom calling my beloved I've been waiting we just asked the strong hand of the Lord upon but you would encourage them it should pick them up in any place where they are in Jesus and that you would give them a kiss to know that they are so loved so cherished so beloved by thank you for each one in Jesus and I said they would know the hearts Lord we just pray that you would fill them afresh with your Holy Spirit Frank for fresh hope we pray for a vision we pray for fresh courage got yes any place where where the fire is smoker and we'll bet we pray father that you would you would blow on it you would ignite the passions that they and here in harvest gulaman pimba god we pray that you just fall and so full of your your spirit so full of your presence God they would just be public nuisances in the Holy Spirit no no no when they go God that they would they would impact lives that they would draw people to you just as the passion and the grace and the love that they carry God we would pray that and all the business of whatever they're doing for this uni or work or ministry God that you would be the point they would never lose sight that you're the point come on look that's there that's the start of it and that's to finish it finishing you have and also God so just bless them we used we thank you Lord for each one of them that we've got to spend time with that you brought into our lives that you've graced us just by knowing them we just it's such a privilege to have met so many of them only years God and we pray for those that would be coming we look forward to meeting them in pin that sometime Jesus would you say your dearly loved doing that we believe in you and would share you all the fullness all the glory to all
