Hello, ladies and gentlemen. A real show floor like the Geneva Motor Show is perhaps the best way to present a brand new car and
business objectives to the press and the public. Current times however challenge everybody to be creative. Luckily, we like to do things just a little bit different at MG. This is why we have invited you again to an exciting and special
virtual announcement today here in the House of MG. In just a few minutes, we will give an update on the
ambitious new steps MG Motor Europe is taking this year. Believe me, MG is here to stay! But first for those who don’t know me yet. I’m Mike Belinfante, and I’m the
Senior Manager PR for MG Motor Europe. I will host this exciting announcement event for you,
together with our CEO, Mr. Matt Lei. We have asked for your attention, because we have a lot of
great news to share with you. MG will grow all over Europe and we want to update you
on our expanding business. Last December, when we virtually launched
our second vehicle for Mainland Europe, the MG EHS Plug-in Hybrid we showed you two covered vehicles. Today we will pull the curtains and reveal these
exciting new products that fit to the needs of the European customers environmental friendly and attractively designed. These are the questions we will answer: What is the status of MG today, how are sales evolving? To what countries and regions will we extend our business? And which new MG vehicles will be launched this year? Because yes, in 2021, we will expand our portfolio substantially. For this update, I kindly ask your attention for Mr. Matt Lei,
the CEO of MG Motor Europe. Thank you Mike for your introduction, we will get back to you a bit later. When the British car brand MG was relaunched
as an electric brand in 2019 ..under the wings of our parent company SAIC Motor. we made a promise to European motorists. We promised we would make new energy vehicles accessible
to drivers who are young at heart and ready to embark on a new electric lifestyle. MG wants to disrupt the EV market as the new,
but more importantly, as the smart choice. By launching several sustainable vehicles in the coming years,
MG is demonstrating its sole commitment to electric mobility. Offering European motorists affordable, practical,
safe and high tech vehicles with excellent quality. Let me give you an update on MG in Europe. The 100% electric MG ZS EV is the first truly affordable electric SUV in mainland Europe. And the very first all-electric SUV in the B-segment
to reach a five-star Euro NCAP rating for safety as well. This ZS EV has reached staggering sales figures in its first year of sales with more than 15,000 units sold, reaching top positions in the UK,
Norway, the Netherlands and in Denmark. These figures prove the high demand for practical,
safe electric vehicles with a smart price. Also in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria,
the number of registrations went beyond expectations. In Belgium the ZS EV has even been voted
as Family Car of the Year 2021! In December 2020, we announced the MG EHS Plug-in Hybrid. This Electric Hybrid SUV is now for sale in 8 European countries and we will also enter into Germany, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Sweden will follow soon as well. This means that only 1.5 years after the first launch in the Netherlands MG vehicles are now sold in 13 European countries
– including the UK – and performing well. We find our way to the customers and they find their way to MG. MG not only carefully listens to its customers,
but also provides trustworthy customer care with 7 years warranty as a reassuring element. In the past 18 months in mainland Europe,
we not just entered 13 new markets but also opened 100 Brand stores for sales, after sales and services. Our plan for 2021 is to open another 200 MG Brand stores across Europe. Our ambition does not stop there. When MG started in Europe, we made it clear that MG is here
to make a change for the better: working determinedly and vigorously on making electric mobility
accessible to the many. We have carefully listened to what European customers need and want. Let me name a few examples: Carefree electric mobility in a vehicle that offers a reassuring range with fast charging capability. A vehicle packed with advanced safety and tech features. And, a car that is well equipped and offered for a smart and fair price. With this in mind, we are ready and proud to announce
two new high tech electric MG vehicles from our second design generation. Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great honour that I present to you
the very first 3D image of the all new MG Marvel R Electric. This is the car you all have been waiting for. It’s progressive, powerful and above all, very appealing. It offers everything your heart desires in a modern electric vehicle. While the existing MG ZS EV and MG EHS Plug-in Hybrid already impress
in terms of smart pricing, functionality, standard equipment and efficiency the new MG models raise the bar even further in terms of design and appeal. In April we will be able to share more details of the
exciting new MG Marvel R Electric and in May all information will be revealed during the official launch. The MG Marvel R Electric will be for sale in Europe from the beginning of the summer this year. Mike will now share with you the first main features of the Marvel R Electric. Back to you Mike. Thank you Matt. Yes ladies and gentlemen, take a good look at our all new MG Marvel R Electric. Marvellous isn’t it. Let me first show you what kind of car we are talking about. The MG Marvel R Electric is a high tech Lifestyle SUV for the C-segment. It’s more than 4.5 meters long, more than 1.9 meters wide
and a bit more than 1.6 meter in height. MG Marvel R is 9 cm longer and 7 cm wider than the VW ID.4 Pro. Accelerate from 0-50 km/h in just 1.8 seconds. And sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. MG Marvel R can reach a top speed of 200 km/h. And last but not least: MG promises more than 400 km range on a single charge. Marvel R is also a very spacious car. The wheelbase is 2.8 meters and therefore offers more than enough interior space. Not only for the driver and passengers but also the capacity in the trunk and the optional frunk in the rear wheel drive version
offers enough room to store your goods. What’s more important though, is the new progressive and smart design,
which makes the Marvel R Electric very attractive. I dare to say that the MG Marvel R Electric has sex appeal. Let’s look for examples at the front with the X-shape lay-out
and front lights in rectangular modules. Or the powerful double arch design along the wheel pack. The back of the car greatly enhances the quality of the car
with a light strip running across the rear. But not only the design is great, also the performance
of the Marvel R Electric will amaze you. First, the drivetrain. When we show you MG’s second generation electric platform,
you will see we can build cars that offer good drivability. Because of the optimal weight distribution, the platform on the all-new
Marvel R Electric also allows us to mount an all-wheel Drive Tri-motor with 3 electric motors. With 1 in the front and 2 at the rear for the All-Wheel Drive configuration. It will also be offered in a Rear Wheel Drive configuration
with 2 electric motors on the rear axle. The Tri-Motor drivetrain boasts a system output of
212 kW and 665 Nm of torque. The Marvel R offers quicker charging capability at an AC charging point,
thanks to the 11 kW 3-phase on-board charger. The battery will also fast charge up to 80% in just 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the climate control with an internal heat pump
guarantees optimal charging performance at low temperatures. Then, usability. The maximum towing weight of the MG Marvel R Electric is 750 kg. Furthermore, customers can count on a large number of active safety systems
under the name MG Pilot as with the MG ZS EV and MG EHS Plug-in Hybrid. And what about this stunning interior with a 19.4 inch touch screen
and a 12.3 inch digital instrument panel. Another high tech feature is the Vehicle 2 Load Power system. Used to charge external devices like an electric scooter a laptop or even another Battery Electric Vehicle. Stay tuned for more details on the Marvel R Electric soon. But this is not the only vehicle MG is launching this year. Dear Matt, back to you. Yes indeed Mike. There is more! The second MG that we are ready to announce today, is unique in its kind. This 100% electric vehicle is for the practical user. It’s the world’s first electric station wagon the MG5 Electric! Despite being a totally different car than the Marvel R Electric,
the MG5 Electric is created with the same design philosophy in mind: progressive, evolved, with a high tech feel. The difference with the Marvel R is that the MG5 is designed
more for practical usage. Both are beautiful to look at, but they serve different needs. With its length of more than 4.5 meter this station wagon
is obviously for the C-segment. The 100% electric drive train makes the car unique and therefore special. The MG5 Electric is the ideal car for private owners and for fleet. Important, therefore, is the total cost of ownership (TCO): this will be much lower compared to all competitors. The MG5 Electric offers a range of more than
400 kilometers (WLTP) on a single charge. In this case, the electric motor delivers 135 kW and 280 Nm torque. The MG5 Electric offers quicker charging capability at an AC charging point thanks to the 11 kW 3-phase on-board charger. The battery will also fast charge up to 80% in just 30 minutes. With a generous nearly 600 litres of luggage space, that can be expanded
to a maximum of nearly 1,500 litres with the rear seats folded down the MG5 Electric offers plenty of usability. With a length of 4.5 meter, width of 1.8 meter and height of 1.5 meter
the electric station wagon offers a spacious interior for the family as well. The maximum towing weight of the MG5 is 500 kilogram,
and a roof load of 75 kilogram. Fully in line with the practical and functional character of an estate car. the MG5 Electric is therefore suitable for a bicycle carrier and roof box. Finally, it is worth to mention the Vehicle to Load system,
used to supply electricity to any external appliances. Safety systems are of course also of the highest level. The MG5 Electric offers all the advanced systems you need. The all new MG5 Electric will enter the MG Brand stores
