even in the book of genesis the first verse whispers the jesus of the bible could it be this jesus who said before abraham was i am you're telling me that chaos can create perfection that a sun out of its own will created a planet that sustained life and you think you're an accident praise the lord i said praise the lord it wasn't like a high i said praise the lord it's a command to give god something praise the lord [Music] i love you but i think you may have missed it uh praise the lord is not a greeting we know we use it as a greeting it prays oh praise the lord no it's a command it's a declarative statement for you to do something with it not to be distracted by anything else but let me say it again and then i want you to give god whatever you think he's worthy of after i say these next three words praise the lord [Music] you at home too don't let the people here be the only ones i said don't let the people here be the only ones that are praising the lord now father speak through your word and when i say get glory i mean and i mean get all the glory i've been wrestling with this word all night and i believe that you are getting ready to speak something very strange and significant and necessary i need you to do it i need you to do it right now right now and so all of the glory all the praise all the honor goes to you in jesus name amen i'm grateful to be the pastor of relentless church and i'm grateful to be standing before you this morning and to our relentless online community we love you so much if you will do me a favor because i said that this is a significant and supernatural day in the life of the church um i'm grateful uh because so many things have transpired uh it's been how long was it 499 days of literally challenge after challenge and i'm grateful that all of that is now behind us and this sunday marks the first sunday that i am the pastor without any of the other issues that had been lingering from a so this is my first sermon as the pastor of this campus without any issues pastor john gray i can't believe god did that and so i just wanted to take a moment and give god praise for bringing us through there are no details that will be given there are none that are needed if you know you know if you're a visitor shout with us i told charles my assistant my right hand when i was driving up i said this is the first time i'm driving on this campus without anything hanging over my head [Applause] [Music] which means if the anointing flows from the head into aaron's beard to the outer skirt of his garment then that means that something just broke over your life and broke off of your life and there is a freedom and there is a newness and there is a deliverance that is upon you as well and i believe that that freedom is going to permeate this entire church and the miracles that we saw sporadically are going to flow like niagara falls in the beginning god created the heavens and the earth the earth was without form and void and darkness was on the face of the deep and the spirit of god was hovering over the face of the waters then god said let there be light and there was light they speak in the beginning god created the heavens and the earth the earth was without form and void and darkness was on the face of the deep and the spirit of god was hovering over the face of the waters strange that there was a distinction between what is deep and what is water they are not the same then god said let there be light and there was light in the beginning god created the heavens and the earth full stop the earth was without form and void and darkness was on the face of the deep so not only is the deep different from the water it has a face the earth was without form and void and darkness was on the face of the deep and the spirit of god was hovering over the face of the waters then god said let there be light and there was light the next verse gets stranger and god saw the light that it was good and god divided the light from the darkness god called the light day in the darkness he called night darkness was on the face of the deep and so god said let there be light to separate light from the darkness capital d capital n day and night there was a differentiation there was not light on the face of the deep but we know that god lives in unapproachable light so if he was hovering over the face of the waters but darkness was on the deep how come the deep was not lit why was it still dark because we know god is light so why did he have to declare let there be light when he is light in the beginning god created the heavens and the earth the earth was without form and void and darkness was on the face of the deep and the spirit of god was hovering over the face of the waters without form and void the primitive root of void is rendered ruined wasteland chaos i want to preach from the subject intentional creation part three chaos theory chaos theory can i go deep let's pray lord speak through your word change the way we see you and then change the way we see ourselves in jesus name amen you may be seated romans chapter 7 21 is a man named paul he's an apostle his name used to be saul he was complicit in the murder of stephen the martyr among others he was known to put believers of the way which we now call christians but at the beginning of the new testament church they were called believers of the way i am the way the truth and the somebody's a bible scholar in here saul hated and persecuted these followers of the way he was completely persuaded that they were antithetical to elohim's plan and purpose and they needed to be eradicated he was so sure that jesus himself from heaven had to knock him off his high horse and some people are so filled with pride and are so sure of themselves that they need to be knocked from their high horse to be reminded of who's in control and who's not the seventh chapter of romans paul says this in the 21st verse i find then a law that evil is present with me the one who wills to do good for i delight in the law of god according to the inward man but i see another law in my members warring against the law of my mind and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members oh wretched man that i am who will deliver me from this body of death i appreciate the apostles truth and transparency because what i've learned about church folk is they will stare at you when you fail and look at you like you're the worst thing that ever breathed air when they've done 10 times worse just nobody knows paul gives us the truth about the condition of our humanity that there is a war in our members i want to do good but evil is present with me i my mind is on jesus but my body is for itself my members want to do what they want to do and i wonder if there are any people in this room and online that will be honest enough to say that there are moments when you want to serve god that you want to live for god that holiness is in your mind it's in your spirit but your body is like not today we're going to do what i want to do today and that flesh rises up have you ever been in a moment of deep worship and all of a sudden some crazy thought comes into your mind how did that memory come out of nowhere i wasn't even thinking about them him her it that and why in the world would it come up it's a seed of the flesh warring against the spirit attempting to bring you down to its level trying to remind you of what you used to be before the blood found you which is why you have to be renewed in your spirit day by day if you pray occasionally you're going to fail often men should always pray a ceaseless prayer life one that is rooted in discipline and commitment to the presence of god a life that is rooted in a sure footing because the truth is none of us are as deep as paul paul went to the third heaven anybody here been to the third and i just want to know if you've been to the third heaven i want to know if jesus came and talked to you audibly from heaven because he was calling you out of the life you lived into and i just need to know if if if that's you because if not then you need to actually be encouraged that if paul was honest about the fact that he had a dual nature that as spiritual as he was there was a chaotic war going on inside i am so weary of a church presentation that makes you think that you have to be something other than what you actually are for god to come and see about you the truth is there's a war in our members and the one thing that war leaves in its wake is chaos somebody say chaos what is chaos it is disarray it is discombobulation it is it is it is a it is a dis ease there is there is something chaotic have you ever been in a chaotic house have you ever walked into somebody's house and they act like everything's fine but it's clothes on the floor it's bugs crawling up the walls you want something to eat no i'm fasting i just decided i'm i'm fast in the day it's so interesting that you had i was hungry in the car but now that i see which no i know you enjoy that whatever that is there i won't be dining upon that because you've got other people here in the house and they're crawling on thine kitchen table you know it's bad when the roaches don't run when you turn the lights on when they're familiar hey what's up earl you good good to see how it was worked good all right me and the family gonna be over here in the cut just let us know if you need anything the worst thing you can do is be content in chaos the difference between thriving and merely existing is the distance between chaos and order people can exist in chaos but you cannot thrive in chaos god must bring order to your heart your mind your soul your body your spirit there must be a uniformity and a unanimity and a harmony a harmonious balance of things so that there is a clarity of focus so that you can do what you were intended to do but the enemy thrives in chaos because if you don't know where things are and what time you're supposed to be there and how that's supposed to function and how that relationship connects to this experience and how that connects to this and so on and so forth you will find yourself in disarray you will find yourself disarmed and then eventually disgusted is there anybody other than me that's tried to live in the midst of chaos and i'm not talking about just having things strewn about your home i'm talking about inside of your heart inside of your mind inside of your body have you ever had a moment of chaos where there was disorder and disarray in your mind you couldn't get your thoughts together i need to get my mind right i'm trying to figure it out but i don't i don't have any answers for that or you found yourself in a relationship that you know is beneath your calling but somehow you still keep going back to it even though your spirit knows this is not good for me but why do i keep coming back to this there's something in your flesh that is drawing you to destruction because your flesh actually was rooted in disarray and chaos i've been some of you may find this hilarious when i say it because when i say it it it will it will make theological sense that it doesn't make sense but i can't figure god out i can't figure god out i like to say hi to the people over in the corner over there in the darkness they need some more lights over there so i can look at y'all and see y'all but i see you have your mask on and you're socially distanced so thank you for complying what i wanted to say hello i can't figure god out i don't know of anyone who has tried to escape their calling as many times as i have i have tried to run in every direction but god keeps pulling me back to this place i've attempted to wiggle my way out of god's grace more times than i can remember and even though you're sitting there listening to me converse with you i'm not the only one in here who's tried to wiggle out of the grace that has been extended to you i've tried to convince god he was wrong about me anybody else here saying god are you sure you chose the right are you sure you want me to do that to say that to move in that are you sure you do know who you call i've tried only to be met by an overwhelming consistent unmovable relentless love he will not let me go and someone in here should probably do a little more than a soft applause at the reality that no matter what you've done he will not has not cannot let you go and the truth is if we're honest we we don't understand why god keeps coming after us i know i don't know why he keeps coming after me because i know me do you know yourself now in strength i know what i'm able to do but at my lowest depths i know what i'm capable of you got to know your heights and your depths and even then the bible talks about the heights the depths the width and the length of the love oh how high and long deep and wide is the love of christ and with all of my heights and my deepest depths there's that word depths he still loves me and now chaos theory let's rush back to verse two quickly the earth was without form and void verse two of genesis and darkness was on the face of the deep and the spirit of god ruach elohim the spirit ruach elohim of god was hovering over the face of the waters i just want to stay there for a second god created the heavens and the earth and then something happened and the earth suddenly became without form and void now we know something happened because and and and i was seeing this video that was circulating this week dr uh kent hovind he had a a video about someone asked the question basically uh who invented god or or when did god start and i found it very interesting he talked about the idea of time space and matter that they had to come into existence at the same time because if matter came on its own but there was no space where would you put it and if you had matter and space but no time when would you put it so god we know has no beginning so the words in beginning has to be a construct created for us i'm getting ready to help you because the the whole purpose of intentional creation is for you to find out who you are and you can't find out who you are until you find out who god is and the god who created you and why i'm going somewhere because i believe in the next 15 minutes god is going to allow you to make sense of the chaos that has been enveloping your mind and you're going to settle in your spirit once and for all that every lesson that you've learned and every mistake that you've made was actually factored into the equation called you and god is not moved nor is he changing his mind in fact it was those things that drew him to you in the first place well pastor john he's holy why would he why would he be drawn to disorder in chaos i don't know you'll have to ask him but before you were here as you he was drawn to chaos and disorder so much so that he didn't just speak to it from a distance he came to look at it face to face so much so that he didn't just look at it he hovered hovered to linger to to to literally rest in a place to observe to hover to the hebrew word means to brood over i'm going somewhere the earth was without form and void and darkness was on the face of the deep and the spirit the ruach of god elohim that's the holy spirit and god the creator so we got the father and the spirit where's the son getting ready to go somewhere stay with me the spirit of god was hovering over the face of the waters why would god have to hover anywhere why couldn't he just speak because the universe in totality is still inside of him god exists outside of the universe he is not constrained nor confined by it he does not need the universe to be god the universe needs god to be god in order for it to exist but god needs nothing for him to exist he exists self-sufficient and of himself of his own volition everything in creation every single thing and the dense mass and the vastness of the universe all of it is inside of him he's outside of it he is not contained by it nor is he constrained by it nor is he reaching for anything he is of himself altogether perfect and unsearchable but yet he was attracted to chaos so much so that he hovered over it and he observed and here's the deep thing about the word hover the spirit of god moved the word moved over the face of the waters the same word for hover the hebrew of it this is the root of it it literally is translated with the feeling of tender love hence to cherish this is the hard thing when when you're going into deep places because the the immediate uh expression of a pastors would be oh my god but but are you are you listening i need you to i need to know are you listening to what i'm saying before you shout god looked at chaos and felt love but there's nothing there it's void the word void means wasteland it was ruined how did they get ruined satan fell it was the fall of satan that ruined the earth before you got here it was already chaos ruin because we know that god created the heavens and the earth and so we know something happened i believe that it is satan who jesus said comes to steal kill and destroy he's a destroyer satan is a ruiner of things that's why sin is so pervasive and dangerous and wicked because it destroys it might look good it might feel good it might taste good it might touch good but it is a ruinous destructive pervasive cancerous thing that's why jesus needed to die for you to have the authority over it so that the blood could eradicate the effects of the ruinous nature and effect of sin it is a corrosive debilitating disease and sin is not something from the outside sin is on the inside it's a part of your nature that's why jesus said to adam don't eat from that tree that tree will give you the knowledge of good and evil and the only way you could have knowledge of good and evil is if evil was already present what makes god god is that he has choice but chooses to remain holy he cannot change he's made up his mind i am who i am and i change not he is utterly holy he cannot be tempted by sin and he doesn't tempt anyone with sin now he will test you testing one too but he will never tempt you that's why he said don't touch it there's temptation in it there are some things you should never know i'm trying to help somebody why can't i try to don't touch the stove it's hot are you sure it's hot leave it alone and what do we do now your skin is on the stove and we down to the white meat on your hand god in his powerful beautiful unfathomable unfathomable mind was drawn to chaos moved over it hovered over it was was moved by tender love at the sight of chaos so what makes you think he's repelled by your truth i'm really trying but it's a teaching moment so i need to understand the difference between a high hallelujah shout run around and they break the devil off your mind revelation that there is no chaotic place that you will ever occupy that god will not be drawn to see because in human condition the chaos theory is when somebody's in the middle of a bad moment we walk away um i can't deal with that that's too much there are people who have worked here who said honestly i love you but this is real warfare i don't know that i'm cut out for this i thought that was really profound that's not a knock on anyone it's the truth because some stuff is easy the truth is most people just want to watch wheel of fortune and watch jeopardy and go live their life and not really deal with spiritual things but there is a remnant that god is raising up that realizes that we are in the end times and this is not a game baby this is not a drill we need a an end time church filled with the holy ghost and power that can speak to demons and tell them to bow down we need some people that have real power and real authority people that know how to pray in the spirit and then war in the spirit and then not be so weird and goofy that you can't have real conversation with complete strangers that don't know who your jesus is you've got to be able to exist in chaos but not be moved by chaos you got to be moving in slow motion you got to be able to watch all hell break loose and bring heaven with you because the kingdom is nigh thee even in thy mouth is there anyone that understands in the midst of chaos god wants to establish the kingdom i need a five second praise break for the kingdom of god being established no music kingdom praise break right here right now there is a god who is attracted to chaos how can a holy god utterly flawless in all his ways be attracted to chaos because he has never started a thing that wasn't already finished do you know how many people have thrown me away because of the things that they have seen in my timeline and they assume my 47 years god is finished with him oh um girl you heard didn't you hear didn't you see didn't you read isn't it strange how god does stuff and i told god years ago i said don't fool with me i was talking to him like he didn't know me i said don't fool with me leave me alone because i know my flesh i've been praying to you about it and it's still here i don't know why you messing with me why do you keep bothering me what do you mean you calling me and you you want me to preach okay i'll preach what you want me to pastor no you don't you don't want me to pastor i don't even like people like that because i know if i'm gonna be a real pastor i'm gonna give it my all and and there's too many of them that's fake out there and i don't want to become that and i know i'm already battling in my flesh and so i use my gift and my talent to keep people at a distance but if i'm a pastor i'm gonna have to just stay right there and then whatever i am is gonna come out but as long as i'm an evangelist i can make anybody love me for an hour but he sent me here and planted me and said i'm gonna strip you of your facade and i'm gonna remove the chaos and when i'm done with you there will be lights i wish i had some help in here i knew there was chaos here i knew there was disorder here i knew i had flesh issues and it still didn't stop him from coming and hovering over me is there anybody grateful that god hovers over you i need a hovering praise i need somebody to give god a praise because no matter what you've done he still hovers and while he's hovering he's covering oh i wish somebody would move back and forth because no matter which way you went he just covered you and he hovered in the midst of your chaos he was brooding over you with tender love that's what the hebrew declares elohim the spirit of god hovered over the face of the waters darkness was on the face of the deep my name wait a minute pastor joel i was looking for jesus i got the spirit and i've got elohim i've got the father i've got the holy ghost but where's the sun huh in beginnings created god aleph tav the heavens and the earth brexit elohim in the beginning elohim through jesus christ created the heavens and the earth but the earth was without form and void and darkness was on the face of the deep what is the deep you got to look up the word deep it says the depths the abyss the deep place it's your soul wait a minute you're telling me in genesis 2 before we get to the sixth day he was already thinking about my soul there's darkness on the soul and before i even give the soul of body imma bring light oh you missed it let there be light the introduction of jesus into the earth now we have the father the son and the holy spirit all working in tandem all for what purpose to redeem the earth because it had been ruined the purpose of you is to redeem what had been ruined that's why the attack on your life is so great watch this that's why the attack on your mind is so intense i'm not the only one here to be like am i losing my mind or is god talking to me am i losing my mind or is god calling me deeper am i losing my mind or am i going crazy is god removing people from my life i was trying to hold on to them i was trying to hold on to her i was trying to hold on to that and god just start moving it because when he said let there be light darkness can't stay in some relationships you didn't know it but they were dark and they weren't for this next place in your life and so when god says let there be light he separated the light from the darkness and so some people had to leave your life some opportunities had to leave your life some things had to leave your life i know what it's like to be separated i wanted to be one of the boys i wanted to be one of the crowd i wanted to be cool i wanted to be like i wanted to be accepted then god made my flesh a stench and everybody who i thought was a friend ran away and all i found was god still hovering over me and the uh the question was god are you there he says i've been here the whole time i wanted you to see that the only reason people were around is because they thought you were a thing but i know what you really are and now i'm gonna bring the authentic relationships that can see your chaos and my spirit [Music] because if you don't understand both then you'll never understand me and if you don't understand both then you'll never understand you because you are not all spirit all day sometimes you are flesh and you need the spirit of god on the inside to rise up and tell your flesh to bow down am i talking to anybody in here elohim the spirit of god was hovering over the face of the waters but there was darkness on the face of the deep there was no illumination so here comes god and he starts creating and he creates with his mouth let there be light and then he separates the waters from the waters and what's left is the earth man was created from the dust of the oh is there anybody that's a little dusty why would god take the thing satan fell in the dust grab it form it [Music] breathe into it stand it up and say all this belongs to you put everything under your feet i'm going somewhere with your dusty self stop second guessing god's breath he doesn't waste ruach on anything see angels were created for him we were made with him he made us with himself he breathed himself it oh do you understand oh if you knew who you were he breathed himself into you so he could have someone who was on his level he only speaks to that which is like himself and i love that god speaks many languages he's god he speaks star he speaks planet uh he speaks animal he can speak to anything and it'll talk back because he can speak it all but he said i'm going to create a a creature that is that is is is is autonomous it has dust and it has my spirit and the reason why he did that is because i want you to know that without me you're dusty but with me you can have dominion from dusty to dominion i need you to write it down without him your dust with him you can have dominion his ruach the ruach elohim when he breathed into dust now i'm of the earth and heaven and i have creative power my time is running out but we struggle and we struggle because we don't like process we don't like process somebody say process see when you create we're not like god so we struggle because we want things to happen immediately but i need you to understand that you're not just one thing i want to talk to the people that are complicated individuals somebody say it's complicated there's more to you than just dust there's more to you than just your bad you got good too you got a whole lot of things but without god none of it makes sense are you hearing what i'm saying let me help you to understand what is this that didn't work let me try maybe i get another now there's there's a yolk there's a shell and there's a white none of them is an egg by itself all three of them are necessary to make an egg the father the son and the holy spirit hey god this is not working let's see this is oil let there be this is sugar y'all missed it that's the flick of the wrist it's not working i'm trying to make something i have the ingredients but it's not coming together lebron james it's still not coming together and you think that the things in your life happen by chance and that you're a mistake but you don't know that the ingredients were there and the process was there and the enemy didn't know what god was making because it looked like chaos but the difference between the ingredients by themselves is that by themselves they're one thing but if you put them together at the right proportions for the right amount of time with the right amount of heat flour sugar oil milk butter becomes a cake something that can feed multiple people now the ingredients by themselves could not feed the masses but put together at the right time with the right amount of heat what looks like chaos becomes order i'm here to talk to you that the difference between you and chaos is you've gone through the heat of process i wish i had some help in here has there is there anybody that's gone through hell and came out on the other side um the right amount of heat will produce a meal that everybody wants a piece of what you don't know is that god allowed the process to get rid of the people that didn't need to dine on your anointing did you hear what i said now i tried to create let there be cake it didn't work because i didn't mix it properly the ingredients by themselves needed something to make them come together dust by itself had no authority but when he breathed my deep became enlightened my soul became quickened and i became immortal i'm john gray and i'll always be john great forever i won't have this body when i get to heaven i'm gonna have a glorified body but i'll always be john gray because john gray is not a man i'm a spirit and my spirit has a name that god gave me and i'll always be able to give him glory i'll know exactly who i am when i get to the new jerusalem and so will you and the chaos of this life will make sense on the other side but until then i need you to give him glory that the ingredients that he's putting together and the darkness and the heat and the process are producing something in you that nothing else can do and your life is producing a glory for god that nothing else could produce i wish i had five people in here who understood that the process of your life is producing something that people can dine on for generations to come it looks like chaos till it's formed and put in the heat the process along with the ingredients and it matters who's mixing you give those ingredients to a novice that cake gonna be nasty give it to a grandmother that's had a couple marriages still on the usher board sings hymns and smoke cigarettes at the same time knows how to stir i wish you would pull out a recipe half a cup of oil three shut up go for now move they can feel how much do you hear what i'm saying god didn't need instructions he knew what he was creating you are exactly what he intended you are not a mistake your life is not chaotic you're just in process enjoy the heat he's about to open the [Music] oven the doors of the church are open if you're here and you've never given your life to jesus if you're here and you need to rededicate your life to jesus this is your moment this is your church you know it i'm not everybody's pastor but i'm somebody's pastor thank you joe he said you're our pastor i i'm grateful and today i'm a i'm a pastor pastor oh you're a pastor pastor now 499 days of heat produce this the oven it'll feel like it's killing you just ask them hebrew boys till that fourth man comes in y'all just walk with me i'll take you through the heat and bring you out you won't even smell like smoke isn't it strange that the thing that's baked by heat doesn't smell like smoke i ain't never ate a smoky cake god is not pre he's not presenting you until you're done and he won't overdo it [Music] won't be no burnt edges oh my god and until the day that you go see him because death is not the end is graduation this body can't contain the totality of you when this body leaves you going back to god it's a graduation oh help me holy ghost i already talked to the lord about how i want to go and it's going to stay between he and i but i'm going to be an old man i ain't dying no time soon i can tell you that so get that all out your head so for all the people that don't like me and want me never to preach again and honey we expanding we get a new campus we're doing all of that we're going to do everything that god said to do we're going to be all over the world we're going to be watching miracle signs and wonders and wherever there's chaos relentless is coming [Music] everybody pray this with me lord jesus it's me i confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that jesus is lord thank you for the blood that was shed for me i receive the free gift of salvation not through my works but the finished work of the cross the blood is enough to pay for all my sins now holy spirit come live inside and teach me how to be more like jesus each and every day you are my savior and my lord in jesus name amen if you prayed this prayer not only are you saved you're a member of our church come on let's celebrate hey there's a number on the screen i need you to dial it text it remember text it saved text it do it now text it in my honor schwarzenegger voice do it now hurry ah do it now get saved today hurry get in the chopper get in the chopper of salvation [Music] our church is crazy we do things unconventionally but we're going to be here and what looks like chaos has come to order and the heat has brought us into a spacious place anybody ever smell the cake baking in the oven you weren't even thinking about cake till you smelled it there are people who don't even know they need you until you walk in and the fragrance of your process speaks to their spirit your life is about to feed people who have been famished for a taste of god's glory and i declare that miracles are going to break out all week this is freedom week and from chaos comes order text saved text member and today at four o'clock we gonna see you right here i'm gonna be right here and i can't wait elder brandon jasmine pastor joel pastor john we gonna be there bring your kids we love you may the lord bless you and keep you cause his face to shine upon you may the lord our god be gracious to you show you his favor and give you his peace high five the people you came in with and say god is bringing it all
