Insurance Money is Approved

what up jet this is Ken from Ken's garage so uh I just wanted to make another video tonight talking about that I'm talking about me and my truck uh I actually got the approval for the insurance money it should be in my bank account tomorrow or the next day uh so I apparently in Illinois if your truck is or your vehicle is 9 years or older uh you can basically keep your vehicle and not have to turn your title in to make become a salvage title I found that as out and so thankfully uh Hagerty is going to going to give me the amount that I need to fix the vehicle uh plus some you know it's going to they're giving me the amount that I uh I chose when I first got my my truck when I first started when I first got the insurance on this thing this truck wasn't as nearly as completed as now uh I just I basically got the minimum insurance policy I think it was like um 4,000 or 30 4,000 or something like that pretty stupid I know uh but so it's the that's the guaranteed amount in case if you get in a wreck or somebody crashes into you that's how much they would be giving you if you get in a crash uh to get the full amount I'd had to give up the title and the truck and get the that full 4,000 but since I decided to only since I decided I want to keep the truck uh they're giving me the maximum amount before or before they would have to take the truck which is almost 3 Grand so that's going to be more than enough to replace the door replace the door the front fender uh the rim this tire is actually still good it's still inflated there's nothing wrong with the tire you know it's got a couple little Burrs in there but it's basically shredded and it's screwed up it's no good I'll definitely keep this Rim just to have it but uh oops this SP right here it's all messed up I just took a shot of wild turkey so I got the hiccups now apparently so uh yeah I'm going to order the the C10 badge these American flags that I ordered on Amazon or Ebay for only like $10 I'll get another one and yeah I I'll just open the hood up take I'll have to take the hood off this way I can take this panel out the front or the front vendor I have to take this the cow thing off which sucks I'm going to take a little bit apart here and then the door the door from from LMC the door and the front and the front fender the C10 badge plus shipping is like almost $800 it's crazy I actually thought about just looking on uh Facebook Marketplace which I don't really like to use Facebook that much but uh and to see if they have you know somebody selling another door or front vendor there's a lot of lot of them for sale but they're all like rusted and stuff so I'm just going to say heck with they get a brand new uh door front fender from LMC and have them ship it in here and it's going to leave me some extra money which I'm considering uh what one thing I am going to make sure I I do test first is when I do put the new once I get the new rim and have the new tire rim I'm going to set it down and I'm going to make sure that this is still okay this is okay uh cuz as you can see it's been chewed up I don't know I don't know if when she hit hit the tire if it pushed this whole assembly if it moved it or if it screwed this up so bad where it's angled in a little bit I don't know I don't think so I think it just I think it's just the the rim is screwed up screwed up so bad that it's doing that I don't know I'm going to I'm going to find out if that's the case I'll have to get new upper control arm apparently which I don't think it bent I don't think it did anything that major let's have a little Gander here yeah this thing is thick that that didn't do anything I don't see that it did anything I mean it looks fine ouch so yeah I think it's just fine I don't think it did anything I don't want to I don't I really don't want to mess around with this uh I know the end of the year towards the end of the year uh I might I'm going to get like a pretty good size bonus check and I get working at Costco I get two bonus checks a year pretty a pretty good amount I'm considering taking the first one and getting the qa1 uh coilover front kit for the truck and maybe the next one I'll get the the whole backend qa1 reverse or rear coil over kit to I know I'm thinking way ahead here as you can see here when I see this I'm gonna have to take all the bolts out to this inner Fender here because this get all crinkled up and I'll have to push that in a little bit take this all off here I don't think it messed with the cab I guess I'll find out when I take this all apart I'll probably start taking this apart soon I'm not in a really big hurry honestly maybe this weekend if it's cool I'll come out here and start taking this apart I'm getting ready to go on a Florida trip guys so uh I'm going to put all my money in my bank account and uh once I get back from Florida I'll probably go ahead and order all the parts and uh get this thing rolling again it's a shame that I have to take this door back off and redo all the interior in insides CU you know I just I just put it all together uh but anyway yeah I'm going I'm going to have a whole bunch uh I'm going to have a little bit extra uh if I don't have to repair the C troll arm so I'm actually considering you know my my cooling cooling problem to this thing I'm actually considering getting a new uh new fans and a new shroud for this I might actually just hit a heck with and get a whole new uh whole new radiator too cuz this radiator and the fans are eBay cheap stuff I might actually try to I'm going see if I can open this Hood up right here cuz it's all mangled right there uh and my socks too and I've been drinking a little bit so I got to be careful here oh yeah that's fine so yeah I'm going to have to I have to take this all apart here the the I really don't want to take apart I want to keep the radiator cuz it seems like it works fine I could if I could just find the right a different set of cooling fans and a new shroud cuz if I take part take out the radiator then I'll have to drain all the coolant and do all that crap you know I really don't want to do all that I'm hoping hoping that it's the fans that's the problem if it's not the fans then I might consider getting a new water pump honestly guys I want to get the Holly midmount kit for this thing I keep saying that because my alterer is to far down I need a a kit where that makes my alternator like go way up to in this area I haven't started this thing since the accident either so I'm not going to start it right now it's kind of late yeah I'll have to take that out obviously I'm going to take the hood off because the hood the m hood mount is right there oh that's what I what else I could do I can buy new hood hinges hood hinges I'm thinking about getting two dual Spa fans uh with a new shroud I thought about see if I can somehow Salvage the Shroud that's on this oh uh see my light see how this shroud has all these openings I don't like that I don't think a lot of the new Childs have those openings uh so I'm going to these are really cheap fans these are some cheap China fans so I'm going to definitely going to take this whole shroud off and rethink the the fan situation here I'll see how much the Shroud cost I want to get some oversized spall fans I've seen another YouTuber rig this up to where he bought two huge SP fans that are like really powerful and he you know he didn't have enough room on the I don't know if that's well that work he didn't have enough room on the uh shroud so he kind of made it theend edges of the fans were on on the edges of the Shroud but do I do with that also uh there's another a guy on Instagram that his level seven Motorsports I seen a his truck he's got these vents in his hood then I might I'm thinking about getting like $300 where you basically two big rectangles in your hood and you rivet these vents in the hood and all the hot air that's bottled up in this engine will be able to escape that's what one of the problems with this engine is or this truck right now cuz this engine's so big for this thing you see it's barely fits in here when it's when you're moving all the heat can go down underneath but when you're idling all the heat just sits there and just builds and builds and builds and gets this thing really hot but if I had the a vent those big vents in in the hood it'll at least be able to you know since heat rises the heat will bble go up there I think I thought it look those vents look really cool on that truck so yeah guys I'm just I'm pretty happy that they approved my insurance money I'm they said I should get it tomorrow the next day but I'm going to hold off until after my Florida trip uh until I start redoing till I go get back into this cuz I'm just counting down the days right now I need a vacation bad and I I really want to get this truck back going again I want to get this all done the exterior fixed back up this way I can start working on my interior again you know I got everything I got I want to get a new seat cover and carpet radio sound system in here everything yeah but yeah I just wanted to tell you guys that uh everything's good now you know I freaked out there for a while I was in a really bad bad uh spot a couple weeks ago I mean you know my I don't know my depression kicks in a little bit and I start just turning everything off and getting upset cuz you know spending 3 years and a lot of money and effort and getting this thing fixed to have it get T-Bone like this and you know that just puts me behind I mean yeah I could fix it back up myself but I'd rather not have to work more for damage that it wasn't my fault you know but yeah we're all everything's good now insurance money money's coming parts are going to be ordered here pretty soon and everything will be back to normal can't wait I want to drive this thing again I actually think I I went I went shopping today at Walmart I think I've seen the girl that hit me she didn't she kept walking by me like probably 10 times she didn't say anything to me but she looked at me a few times and then walked by me I don't know if she was trying to think it was was that him but she didn't she didn't say anything it's all good she would have said something I would been like you know what it's all right we're all we're all healthy we all got insurance everything's good no big deal this gives me something else to do uh I will take my rubber Mount to this cab corner here see how it's kind of dented in a little bit I'll try to hammer that out a little bit I'll sand that out this thing here it's good it's new now I just lifted that up it's fine I'll just sand it up and spray paint it so yeah guys that's my video I just wanted to ramble
