Installing the Lemans II

[Music] hi I'm Scott mark with training coordinator at hateful America company and I'm Daniel Tripp product manager for all things kitchen related here at hateful America now today we're in the Learning Center and we're about to install a Casa boomer LeMans blind corner unit now if you've got one of these to install you want to make sure you have your mounting instructions in this handy installation gage which is about to become your best friend let's get started the first order of business is to position the installation gage the gage is placed at the front edge of the opening of the cabinet the side wall bracket gets installed against the gage if the cabinet has a face frame place the gage behind the face frame you may be using a filler strip underneath the side wall bracket we'll pre-drill all the mounting holes in this case we're using a device called a VIX bit which is a self centering drill bit for this unit we're going to fill every screw location with the screw next use the installation gauge to determine the location of the bottom pole mount bracket again we pre-drill the holes using the Vics bit and then insert the appropriate screws now we'll use the gauge vertically to determine the location for the top pole mounting bracket then coming from the side will find a cross location this point will match up with the center bottom hole on the top pole mounting bracket we use a square to hold the bracket in place while we pre-drill two additional holes using the VIX bit now we can remove the square and install the bracket using those holes we'll use the bracket itself to pre-drill for the rest of the screws use a total of four screws there's no need to use the sinner to screw locations next we'll insert the pole it slides in through the top and drops down securely to the bottom a clip to hold the pole in place goes underneath the bracket now we are ready to install the pole arms and on the side wall brackets I'd will install the side wall bracket arms we want to position them at the same height as the arms located on the pole next insert the soft close mechanism by sliding it on to the arm and dropping it in place notice that you can preload this mechanism either forward or back we prefer to have it in the back position as you'll see in just a moment notice that there's a release that would cause the mechanism to close now we're going to lift the shelves into place starting with the bottom shelf as you do this make sure that on the pole arm you position the restrictor block behind the arm as you see here while the long post engages the arm the short post will be engaging the soft close mechanism position the side stop in front of the arm and finally if necessary you can install the shipping clip once the LeMans 2 is fully installed you may find that it pulls out too far and bumps another cabinet or appliance simply use an angle reduction bracket to adjust how far into your kitchen the unit pulls out angle reduction brackets can be ordered separately and we're done your LeMans blind corner unit is ready to add a wealth of easy access cabinet storage we hope you found this hateful of video helpful good luck with your installation and thanks for watching
