[Music] foreign Taylor this is my house in the suburbs of London and I've been here around a year but I actually grew up in this house from sort of Ages 14 to 19. it's changed a lot since then but it still has a lot of the parts of how I grew up with it [Music] I have Sudoku books all around my house in every single room and it's sort of part of my daily routine from the first thing I do when I wake up is probably two to three Sudoku and then throughout the day like with my coffee I'll be here or in the garden I even have one in the bathroom my routine is sort of Sudoku orientated it structures my day which is a bit sad but it's my sort of down time but then I I'm not super good at Sudoku so I never get too far for it so I just end up buying more and more books and doing like the first 30 pages of each one I need to stop at some point or just get better at Sudoku because otherwise it's just gonna stack up and up and I'm gonna start putting them in the loft or something better this is one of my favorite Hammers and just objects I have at home because it's I mean it's a beautiful object in the metal and it also turns into a screwdriver and actually has five inside it's very exciting for me because I love Tools in any form I used to sort of really build things and construct these big architectural structures and it's something I really miss and not that I can do it particularly here so I just have tools all over my house and I even got some wooden tools made it's a completely non-functional but I think it's such a beautiful object and they have a tape measure upstairs which is even less functional because it can't measure anything but it was strange sort of passion and collection I have it's sort of like a ready-made sculpture for me and yeah they really value them as much as any other sort of objects or design pieces I have at home I've been collecting lighters now probably three or four years I think I'm a bit of a hoarder in general because I'm collecting more and more things lately but um most of them are from my travels and it's sort of my first thing when I go to a country that I find all the bad tourist shops and I seek out the most tacky ones I can find and now my collection is bordering 600 which I think it's becoming an illness at this stage and there's a sort of reoccurring theme of animals and cars Landscapes it got to the stage it's such an obsession that even my business card is now a lighter I like the idea that lighter always travels around like you never seem to hold on to a lighter so it's a business card I think it's quite interesting that it will just end up and I get random emails sometimes saying like I have your lighter or just a photo of my life from someone I have no idea during covid I started collecting a lot of carved wooden objects and many off eBay and this was one of my favorite finds it's empty it has a very obscure collection of things inside that was never really considered we have a fortune cookie and a lot of mixed currencies tiny drill and one of my favorite knives it looks like a lipstick but it was just a like a local sort of Craftsman a hobbyist woodworker who made it not by anyone in particular but I think it has such a beautiful form and it's so unique and it's just finished so well I have these great calendars in my studio and I have one in the kitchen as well it was when I was in Portugal recently and and making some furniture with a gallery out there and we went to the workshop to see the production and they had these calendars displayed in the workshop and the guys there saw me looking at them and then we asked the wife if we could take them home and she was more than happy to get rid of them from the workshop so and yeah it does have this very sort of heavy masculine connotation to something that would be in a garage and I think I quite like that in my space that it's quite feminine and calm then I have these disruptive things that mainly are just here to human me to be honest I do a lot of emails and quick sketches downstairs but here's if I'm spending more time on a drawing I'll say two eggs it's probably the comfiest place to work and I have all my reference books here it looks like it's not organized at all but sort of know where everything is in terms of art references architecture design yeah it's a method to the madness hand carved wooden hand and it's very sort of rudimentally carved what I really like and it's like listen to a detailed the knuckles what if I'm cute I have no idea what why they would have made this and potentially it was part of a I hope it was part of like a human a full-scale and I love hands so sort of the perfect combination of things for me to find kind of like the crudeness of it that it's not perfect I think it's their room more than mine most of the time I wanted my bedroom to be as sort of as minimal as possible because it's quite a small space to have my bed really low to the ground so I just have it on a few tattoo mats I really like being low to the ground it stresses me when there's like a very high bed I think because the fear of like something underneath it maybe I'm not sure and I like to have a lot of space above me my favorite thing is having the blinds because the light comes in and really sort of frames these lines on the wall even though there's no furniture it feels like there's a lot happening I do do a lot of research in here actually I'll sort of bring I mean I already have a lot of books in here but I'll bring books and then have like 50 Books open and sometimes sketch them here as well but I think it's because I don't have a super comfortable sofa downstairs and I use this as a sort of relaxing space as well Dante and those are our Seven Wonders thank you for coming bye the modern house selling thoughtfully designed homes across the UK [Music]
