INSANE!!! CONVERT VOICE TO MIDI!! The Dubler Studio Kit!! REVIEW & DEMO. Vochlea Dubler Review

yo what's good everybody it's your boy cedric welcome back to sweet scale tv i just got back from spending some quality time with family in toronto day i got back i received the package in the mail from volklia they sent me the doubler studio kit i'm really excited to check this out there's really nothing quite like this i mean nothing i've ever seen so it's a microphone but it's a midi controller this is the kit that's it so if you're a producer and you have no intention of learn piano and you kind of get bored with penciling in your melodies or if you're a singer and you'd love to learn how to produce but you don't know where to get started this is a great option i love controllers i love music gear i love dj gear i love keyboards i love drum samplers i like it all but i've never seen and i've never played anything quite like this the doubler studio kit allows you to sing your melodies or hum your melodies into your daw and if you're nice at be boxing you're gonna love this so we're gonna check out the mic today but be on the lookout for future episodes where i might bring in some friends who are aspired to learn how to produce and don't know a lick about production this might be the perfect solution for them i'm still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that this is a midi controller i can make a full beat using this microphone this really evens the playing fields i know there's a lot of aspiring producers out there that can't play an instrument and you've tried penciling in your melodies and it's not coming out the way you want it to well now you can sing into this microphone and you can get the melody that you're looking for i think this is a great tool for singers because there's a lot of singers out there that want to be able to produce and you might not be able to play an instrument and you might struggle with penciling in your ideas let's quickly take a look at how to set this up as soon as you unbox the doubler studio kit you're going to want to head over to vocalia and register your product the doubler is actually a standalone application so you would want to open it up i'm using ableton so what i've done is i've gone over references and make sure the track and remote settings are turned on for the doubler and it's that simple so in ableton midi channel one is picking up from all instruments i'm just gonna select the doubler let's open up heat of three and i don't know let's pick a bell test test [Music] a huge tip i'm gonna i don't know why i'm talking through the mic like like i'm actually using it right now so a huge tip is if you know you've got an idea for a melody or chords you can either click on detect notes and sing a scale so i'm just going to hit detect [Music] i can also just choose the root note and i can choose whether we're doing major minor major pentatonic or minor pentatonic so let's try i'm going to choose e flat minor let's see if i can just hum in a melody [Music] i'm noticing if i sing a melody you'll see the the notes kind of slide up and down but if i just do it like staccato [Music] it's a little cleaner i'm noticing that uh a it's a lot of fun like i'm just having fun with it and b it's really easy to get any idea have in mind in ableton [Music] not only can you use the doubler for single notes but you can also sing in your chords and then we have drums so i'm gonna train the doubler so it knows when i go boom boom boom it's the kick so hit train boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom now i'm gonna add another drum and this okay this is hi-hat okay this will be snare and last i got a rim shot for the hi-hat i'm actually just gonna i'm gonna use a snap [Music] so let's try making a beat now [Music] all right and then just get in there and let's just clean it up a little bit let's quantize [Music] and now we just gotta clean it up [Music] just a quick cleanup and we got the melody down let's bring in some quartz [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] i'm so impressed with heat up3 let's bring in the 808. down dun dun dun dun dun dun [Music] chat [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so that's all done with the microphone the fact that i was able to start a deeply just a microphone get my ideas sketched out that is mind-blowing this is pretty cool i'm very impressed with this this is really useful more importantly it's a lot of fun and i'm definitely looking forward to using this in the future so that's the wrap for this episode but the journey continues if you haven't already joined the sweet scale family hit the subscribe button as well as the bell notification it's your boy cedric from sweet scale tv i'm signing out i'll see you guys in the next episode [Music]
