Inglewood Studio Apartment Tour ($1350 ☼ Los Angeles)

welcome back to by divine right if you are new to my channel welcome to this community and if you are a returning subscriber welcome back thank you for continuing to support me on my journey i've been in my apartment for almost three months now it's crazy how quickly the time is going by during covid but yeah almost three months and so i feel like i've had the time to really put my space together and honestly you guys i love it i've shared this a lot with my friends and i might have even shared it on my channel but i feel like in my last apartment in queens i didn't fully embrace living alone like i i feel like the year went by really quickly and although i did put into this space and i made the space my own i don't feel like i really enjoyed it i don't feel like i was as present in it as i could have been or should have been and so with this apartment i told myself i'm not doing that like you are going to put this together and make it your home but you're also going to really enjoy it and so that's been really important for me and i already feel like i've done that way more than i did while living in new york so i feel grateful about that but disclaimer my space is not finished yet so this is just an update video since the empty studio apartment tour so in my queen's apartment i had all neutral colors and i i do like that but i don't find it to be fully functional and i feel like girl that tells you that i'm getting older because now i'm like yeah cute is nice but i also want things that are really functional and so a lot of my space is that it's like what looks cute but it's also functional and another thing i really wanted to incorporate into the space was color because i didn't have that in my last apartment and i just feel like i am someone that's i'm sensitive to the stimulation of my senses and so having colors like really shifts my energy and so that was something i wanted to incorporate i wanted colors i wanted patterns which you will kind of see i have some sheet over here some cow over there i wanted each little space or room in this apartment to be a little different i wanted it to have its own theme so yeah hopefully i did a good job of that i mean i personally love this space so far and i'm excited to continue building on it and i know it's just going to get better and better but i definitely am excited to start sharing that with you guys because home is something that i take a lot of pride in and that makes me really happy so i'm excited to share that part of me with you guys like i love going to marshalls and home goods and target room obviously and as soon as you come in you see this really vibrant large area rug i wanted to make a statement but not too big of a statement and i feel like this is that like it has these awesome beautiful patterns rich colors but it still feels kind of cool right so i feel like it makes a statement but i also feel like it still is cohesive with the space and that's really what i wanted so as you can see i actually ended up getting the two chairs and the couch originally i had them the opposite way but i felt like it made the space feel really tight and small and so i switched it around and i like it so much better like this so these two chairs i actually got them on sale i bought them as a set of two i think for like 150 dollars um i can't remember which website if it was overstock or wayfair but i will link everything that i talk about in the description below so if you like anything feel free to check it out there but yeah so i got these two they're actually patio chairs so this is a little diy project that is still in progress um because it's kind of expensive to get cushion covers but my vision for this is that i would actually wrap these chairs um the cushions with a fabric similar to this one like a wool sort of fabric that's really what i would like in the meantime i just added some thorough blankets and some plush pillows and made it kind of comfy so that when you do sit there it still feels snuggly and warm as you can see we have the fireplace right next to it honestly you guys the fireplace is the best purchase i think i've ever made i have always wanted a fireplace i just feel like they're so cozy and warm and they just really give me a sense of home but obviously fireplaces are not within my budget when i'm looking for apartments so i was like i'm just gonna make my own fireplace mantel so um i bought this one on walmart actually it was pretty pricey i'm not gonna lie i think it was like 200 a little over 250 dollars but truthfully i personally think it's so worth it it's actually a fireplace and a heater in one but i don't really use the heater because i have a heater here at home but i really just love this fireplace i just have like the most snuggly nights warmed up on my couch with my blanket and it's everything it just sets like a really nice ambience so i love that and then right next to it i put this artificial plant it's an artificial fig tree i got this in home goods for i believe forty dollars but honestly you guys i feel like it was so worth it um and then on top i just put these two candles there eventually i think i will decorate this mantel a little bit more but you know for now i i liked how that looked so the little shoe rack next to it was never intended to be here i actually just had brought that from my last space and i was using it as like something else but honestly i ended up kind of liking it i feel like it does blend in with the space and i do need a place like to put my shoes i have my yoga mat there for when i do my morning stretches over here i throw my purse there when i first come in and i have some masks when i'm on my way out so i just really actually like this thing i think it's important to have like some sort of like an entrance um an entry like console so this is kind of what that is for now eventually i do want to get another sort of entryway console i'm thinking maybe something that has like racks where you can put like your jackets let me know what you guys think of that do you think that it looks better with just this little shoe rack or do you think i should kind of go the whole nine yards and get like a big entryway console let me know in the comments so now we're gonna get to my sofa so you guys i got this sofa from article and i'm not gonna lie it was pretty expensive this sofa was a thousand dollars so i made the mistake in my last apartment i got a cheap couch that was actually really cute but you know you get what you pay for and the couch was just really uncomfortable so i told myself like this time we are not skimping it and so this is a two and a half seater so it's not super big let me give another angle so you guys can see um it's not super big it's actually just like quite perfect and it's really comfortable so i'm happy the article shipping did take a really long time i guess because of kovid but i feel like they compensated because they sent me a gift card and also the delivery process was just like really amazing but um yeah it's really comfortable i do want to get some different pillows so don't mind those pillows that are there right now i used to have those on these chairs over here this coffee table i actually got it on offer up for fifty dollars this was a steal to be honest because i just think it's beautiful i think it's unique it's just it's like honestly exactly what i was looking for so it's almost like i don't know if it's bamboo or what the material is but it's super light like when i saw it on offer up in the picture i thought it was gonna be really heavy but it was it's actually incredibly light the only thing that's a little heavy is the glass but yeah i really really love this coffee table now these coasters i'm sure you're wondering i am obsessed with these coasters i got them on etsy i'm totally lying i actually got these on mercury and this girl like customized these coasters which i thought was like incredible and of course their harry potter theme so next to that i have these little shot glasses they're like copper ones i think it's just really cute when you host people to have like a little tray that you can bring out the shots and i think that's just really really cute and it came in this little tray i got that at marshalls for like i want to say maybe like 12 so both of these blankets i got them at marshalls i think both of them were maybe like 15 each that one was probably a little bit pricier because it's tommy hill figure so maybe it was like 20 um and then those pillows same thing i think they were from like 15 to 20 dollars um yeah so now we have the glass wall i don't even know what this thing is called so i'm making it pretty much like my bar as you can see i'm building up the bar over there um so i have the shot glasses on the other side and then i got this little wooden thing at marshall's for like maybe like six dollars and i really love it so i'm gonna start to put you know some of my favorite alcohol over here maybe like a little tequila bottle for when guests come over we have the tequila on deck ready um and then we have of course my favorite wine which is josh and just some wine glasses so that's what i'm kind of creating here is like a little a little bar area because i feel like in every home you need to have a bar like or at least in my home i definitely need to have a bar and then we have my alexa cool and then over here so actually this is a picture frame like it as you can see there's some lettering there but i actually thought it looked really cool like the crystal image so i just left that there because why not i liked it and then we have my buddha and i found this really cute astrology container in marshalls i believe it was like 13 and i actually just keep my coins there for like my laundry and then i have this artificial plant and this is really cool too so this is actually um a wine stopper with a crystal on top i think it's a selenite crystal so now i want to show you guys my bookshelf i have my harry potter collection that my friends got me which was like the best gift i think i've ever gotten i have some card games which cards against humanity is pretty problematic i've had that for a while but i need to replace that with a better game um i have some harry potter in spanish which is pretty cool and then i need to get some picture frames still to put like some pictures with my loved ones i'm gonna be reconfiguring this space this is kind of just like what it looks like for now but i i do feel like eventually i will want to kind of have like a cohesive theme here so coming into the kitchen you automatically see the kitchen nook which is pretty much all done so this was a diy project i worked on i bought this bench for 40. it came with the cushion the bench and the cushions it's real wood and i diyed the out of it i bought some white spray paint and that's what i did i sanded it down and i spray painted it and then i covered those cushions with um i actually glue gunned those on which is not probably the best approach but it worked but yeah these two chairs i actually got them from article and i only got them from article because i had a gift card and i mean they were they did fit perfectly like they were exactly what i was looking for but i just want to give you guys a disclaimer like article chairs are rather expensive article furniture in general is just kind of expensive but it is quality i'll give it that um and then this tulip table i actually got for like 125 i believe on amazon and i absolutely love it you guys i've always wanted a tulip table and i just feel like with the bench it just all really came together and looked perfect so i actually want to add like some colorful pillows around to just make it more cozy and really give it that kitchen nook vibes because that's really what the kitchen nook is all about and then i also want to add some artwork here i was thinking about maybe like a new york city um painting or something i was even kind of thinking maybe like something harry potter like a harry potter quote i don't know if you guys have any ideas let me know but i was thinking maybe like one there and one there um or just one big one and then over here in this part of the kitchen i haven't done too too much i added these little eaten drink towelettes and those are from marshalls those were like maybe 10 or so also the plant i got in home depot home depot is a great place to get plants side note and then um yeah i haven't really done much else to this space but i definitely want a big beautiful plant there because i just feel like this room needs more greenery it's a lot of white going on um and that i actually got as a housewarming gift from one of my friends which i thought was really sweet and then i need a little stool because i'm short and some of these drawers are really high up oh also i wanted to show you guys how cute is this i actually got this on amazon for like six bucks and it's just like the perfect travel container because you know ever since i moved to la i don't know i have this like newfound appreciation for just like protecting and preserving our earth so i'm really trying to make like small changes that will make bigger changes and one of those is just being like more environmentally conscious [Music] so now we're going to go into the little bedroom section so i'm going to turn on the light because it does get a little darker here i'm personally obsessed with this light i don't know about anybody else but i find it to be fascinating so right away i have my whiteboard every month i always set some intentions as part of like my manifestation tools and techniques and then obviously i leave some space for reminders and then every month i also create a mantra which is basically just like the perspective that i'm breathing in and or calling in that month and so i haven't figured out what i want for february just yet but it usually comes to me and um yeah that's kind of just like the energy that i want to put out and the energy that i want to receive within that month so then we have my little workstation so i got this leather chair actually my job provided it for me which was pretty amazing of them because it was pretty pricey it was like almost 200 um and it's it's i mean it's very fancy smashy it has like that sort of uh used leather look which i really like and i actually wanted something like that for my couch but i just felt like that would be really hard to maintain so i settled with my office chair and then this little desk is an ikea desk and it fit perfectly into the space i used to have like a bigger desk but i got rid of that because i i really wanted my little office nook to be right here yeah i have my little zoom light which that it has been super helpful if you don't already have a zoom light like what are you doing it's it's time so this little shelf actually i bought it as like a double shelf it was supposed to be like where you could kind of put your your desktop on top of it i just felt like that was taking up a lot of space and it was bringing the desktop a little bit too high so i just actually glued it together i glued two of the pieces together and made like this little shelf that i just put there and i just put my laptop there um and it works for me so the vision for this space is i really want to get some things going over here on the wall i don't know exactly what i don't know somewhat of like a vision board wall or if i should put like shelves like i'm not sure what exactly i want to do in that space but i want to do something so if you guys have any ideas please let me know this wall is just super bare super naked and i want to give it some life so if i don't put anything over here i definitely want to put something here and i just don't know what i've seen some really cool collage walls um where it's like you know a collage of all things you love or like a color scheme you love and i think that looks really cool sometimes but um i haven't figured that out just yet so this is my bed i feel like this camera is not doing the bed sheets justice the bed sheets are so rich in color i wanted quite a few textures and color patterns like here so i don't know i used to be more of like a neutral girl but i've grown like a deep appreciation for patterns and color and i just think it brings life into your space and so then this is my little nook so i haven't decorated this nook fully but i want to have like tons of little trinkets here right now i just have some of my little things my dad's picture candle and this actually let me show you what this is my gummy stash i have all my little edible gummies in there and it's cute because you can't see it so it's closed away and it is the zodiac signs i have the led lights installed here and i will insert a clip of what that looks like at night but i really love it it just gives it a vibe this little section is definitely still a work in progress like i'm figuring out how exactly i want it to look so any suggestions that you guys have please let me know write it in the comments so now we're gonna go into the closet which is arguably besides the fireplace i think my favorite spot as of right now i got these doorknobs at marshalls but i think i'm gonna get some other ones i just feel like it doesn't fully i don't know it just doesn't go with the theme i was thinking i'm thinking a little more glam room and these just don't do it for me so i feel like that's part of the decor process right it's like sometimes you envision something one way and it doesn't look how you had envisioned it and i think that's okay it's all kind of like trial and error but yeah this is what i've done with the vanity so far i'm really really excited about it i love the circle mirror i think just because this is a small space and so i wanted to add like some dimension to it right so that's why i went with the circle mirror here because i'm planning on doing a big rectangle mirror here and so right now this is just my old mirror from my last spot but this is not what's going to be here i want to get a big tall mirror but essentially the same color preferably a mirror that comes really high up because mirrors just open up spaces and so since this is a small you know walk-in closet i want to make sure it feels as big and airy as possible and so that's why i want to get that mirror but i haven't got that just yet so this gold round mirror i actually got in marshalls for forty dollars which i thought was like a absolute steal um this was part of the project 62 collection which they sell at target i believe so you might be able to find it at target also i got this really pretty jewelry rack also from marshalls i think this one was like maybe 13 14 i just thought this one was really beautiful because of the black marble like i live so yeah i love that as you can see i clearly like coops um and then this little makeup organizer i got it on amazon so this is basically just like my essential makeup i have some perfume and this little girl right here is everything like i'm obsessed with her i got it on amazon it's a body sculpture actually plant base and so you see from the front it's like the female physique um and they have it in a couple different colors i like to keep it to the tush because i just think that's really cute that's my little brush holder and i absolutely love it but yeah i really like how the space is looking i think maybe i want to add like a little plant thing i don't know if you guys know of those little atrium plants like that come in a little gold container and it has like some some plants but i would really love to put that there any ideas you guys have for this space i am super open to it i even considered potentially putting like shelves here but i don't know if that will start to feel like a little too much a little claustrophobic let me back up a little bit so you guys can see let me know what you guys think if you think i should put shelves there i'm still figuring it out i won't show you guys my entire closet because it's not all organized but this side is pretty organized so i'll show you this side and so i just have my shoes down there i like to color coordinate my clothes because i am a sociopath no i'm just kidding i just have a little bit of ocd i have some of my purses there and some of them over there um but yeah no i definitely have ocd so organization is like everything for my anxiety i feel like if my things are in order my life is in order like that's i'm kind of weird like that so yeah this is one side of my closet last but not least i'm going to show you guys the bathroom so as soon as you walk in you see this beautiful curtain which i got from target and honestly i love it i was looking for something that would blend with that bohemian theme i was telling you guys i was trying to go for and i feel like this was just perfect i think it was only like 14 or 15 if i'm not mistaken and so then you know you walk in you have your toilet paper you have your lotions and potions and um i just want like easy accessibility for anybody who comes to visit i want them to feel like they have everything that they need and i'm just so pleasantly surprised with how well these bamboo nightstands ended up working in the bathroom like it makes me very very happy i had actually got a set of two on amazon and i can't remember how much it was but i'll link those below and this section is really cute to me i got this little planter for three dollars at target and you know i keep my little face wipes for my skincare routine up some poo pourri because you always need poo-pourri and q-tips and um yeah some tampons i want guests to come in to feel just comfortable and also feel like you know they have access within reach to the things that they need so i really like how this is coming out and i was able to match the bamboo with this soap holder that i found at i think target for a couple dollars and then this plant vase is actually a mug so don't tell anybody but it's actually a mug um but i made it into a plant base and that's where i keep my bamboo which i think might be dying right now because it doesn't get that much sun over here so i try to just like pretty frequently put it out here so that the sun reaches but i don't know what's happening with that bamboo like i said i'm i'm i'm a new plant mom so i'm trying out little plants to see how i feel you know how i can manage them and then work my way from there but clearly i'm not doing that great of a job don't judge me and so then as you can see in the mirror we have my beautiful frida artwork which i am obsessed with i just feel like when i think of like the perfect blend between feminine and masculine energy i think of frida i also just really admire her vulnerability and her art and how she really put like her heart and her mind into her art and i just think that that's beautiful so i love me some frida and then i have you know just some black towels and hand towels because i felt like that went with the black here i just wanted all the colors to kind of blend together and um yeah and then i have my cheetah robe that my sister got me for christmas that's so freaking comfortable and then here i just keep my shower cap so i won't show you these drawers because they're not organized yet but if you do want me to do a video organizing or showing you guys how i organize everything i will gladly do that because i need to like organize all my hair care products like i said my makeup so that's where that's gonna be going into in one of those drawers so yeah that is my updated apartment tour make sure that you stay tuned for all the other updates that will come in the future as i continue to add the little details to the space and
