[Music] Indian origin astronaut Captain Sunita Williams is all set to go to space in a brand new spaceship the boing Starliner the liftoff will take place from the Kennedy Space Center on May 7th 2024 at around 8:00 a.m. India time Williams says she's a bit nervous but when she reaches back International Space Station it will be like going back home the 59-year-old will create history as she will become the first in woman to fly on a made in mission of a new human rated spacecraft Williams is a qualified Navy test pilot and has already flown to space twice in 2006 and 2011 and has spent a total of 322 days in space she even held the record for maximum Space Walk Time by a female astronaut she has spent 50 hour and 40 minutes across seven space walks before her flight Miss Williams while talking to NTV said she will carry a statue of Lord Ganesha with her on the commercial crew flight AS ganes is a good Lu charm on her earlier flights she had carried copies of bhagwat Gita to space she also said she loves samosas among her other passions she's also a marathon runner and has ran a marathon while on the ISS NASA selected SpaceX and Boeing to make new spacecraft that would Ferry astronauts to and from the International Space Station and SpaceX has been doing this since 2020 the boing Starliner has had many delays but is now set for the maiden crew flight on Tuesday Morning incidentally boing has been facing many issues with its aircrafts and the company has been mared in controversy on the other hand if you're wondering about the progress of India's gagan Mission which aims to take Indians to space India has already selected a crew of four male gagan yatries as of now things seem to be moving as per the schedule and if all goes well these four men will fly into space from shihar Kota in the thereabouts of 2026 [Applause] [Music]
