multi-entry Visa, I will explain all the
documentations step by step. -So Ritika, my Europe Trip
begins today -I am very excited
as it will be my first time. You know whom
I will miss the most? - I won't find this Jet spray
anywhere else in Europe. All right jokes apart, welcome to
another travel series. I am traveling to one of the most
desired places to visit on Earth. Everyone wish to travel to France,
Germany, Italy, etc. I was always cruious about Schenzen
Visa. I have been to other European cities like
Moscow and St. Petersburg but now we will be traveling to proper
European cities. I have a direct flight from Mumbai
to Paris, it is a 9.5 hour long flight. I will be traveling in Air France flight,
I will explore Paris for few days, There are around 27-28 countries that cover
Schenzen Visa, let's see what all countries
we can explore. In this 1st video of the Europe Series, I will provide all the information
about Schengen Visa. Do we get it on our fist attempt?
It was my first shot at Schengen Visa. I got a 45 day Multi-Entry Visa. I will give all the information,
step by step, plus we will review our Journey with Air France. [MUSIC] I have boarded my flight, it looks
okay-okay I thought that the Flight will be special
like the Thai Airways or Vietnam Airways, The seating arrangement is 3X4X3. There are many seats, they have provided,
Earphones, blanket, a small pillow and a TV for entertainment. The flight tickets cost me around
22000₹. For all the Hotel bookings and flight

Link is in the description. Now we will enjoy the complimentary food
on our 9.5 hours flight journey. I am lucky to get a window seat. [MUSIC] 9 and half hours feel too long. It is a night flight, so I won't get
too many food options. It's been 5 hours and I need to spend
more 4 and half hours. One thing I liked, you can drink
whatever you like from here. There are paper glasses and you can drink
any beverage of your choice, [MUSIC] The immigration queue is too long. Bonjour everyone,
finally I have reached Paris, I am at the
Charles de Gaulle Airport There are 3 Airports in Paris, this is
the biggest Airport of France. I had reached around 8.30AM and
now it is around 10AM. No questions were asked, they scanned my
Passport and left me. There were many tourists in the
Arrivals queue. It took me 90 minutes to complete
the immigration process. Even in India, no questions were asked,
I had to show only return tickets. which I had booked from Venice,
the journey will be after 15 days. Yes, you heard right, I will be exploring
Venice too. We will take a train
ride to reach the City Center, which will
take around 40 mins. Train journey will be the cheapest option,
compared to Taxi. Google Maps work
perfectly, and I will be getting down at the
station near my Hostel. I don't know the prices and all, I exchanged INR
to Euros in India. The current transfer rate for Euro was
89INR. The exchange people charge
1-1.5 INR/ Euro. This note will work in all European
Countries. -I am from Turkey
-Nice to meet you. -How much time will it
take to reach the city Center -Around 1 Hour. Merci Gare Train Station
Gare means station. [SUDDENLY A WOMAN INTERRUPTS] - Asking for donation
- Sorry, No donations. Even before entering the city, they
started asking for donations. I was talking about the word
'Gare' it means Train Station. One ticket to city center
- that will be 11.45€ -Go to platform number 12
-Thank You. 11.45€ that is around 1000 INR. It cost me this amount to reach the
City Center, I will reach the Hostel first, the check-in time is
around 3PM, I will relax for a while and will
express the Visa process. -I don't know what they said. -Above Above Above
-Where above. -Oh you meant below. [HIP HOP MUSIC] The train took 40 minutes exactly
to reach the City Center. In 5 minutes we will reach the Hostel,
the weather looks pleasant. After 4 days, we need to come here again,
to travel to another country. This is the first glimpse of Paris. From Airports and stations you don't get to
know how the city looks Once you come out, you find the beauty
of the city. [MUSIC] I am at the St. Christopher's Inn This place is crowded, Still 4 hours are
remaining for my Check-in. There's a luggage
compartment where you can leave your bags. The lockers were so expensive, Even the
5star hotel rates were cheaper. I will give the rates of locker and hostel
in a different video. It will be titled as 'How expensive
is Paris for Indians?' I saw many Indian restaurants while coming
out. There were many Indian dresses stores
too. In that we will see, how expensive the
public transport is. So, in next video we will find out
more information about that. In this video, we will see how to apply
for Schengen Visa. From that single Visa, you can explore around 27-28 countries. All these European countries, do not have
separate Visa. You can explore all the European countries
of the European Union with that Visa. It depends on Validity of your
Visa too. As I had applied for the
first time, I knew I would get it for small duration,
yet I got a 45 Day Visa. It is a multiple entry Visa, I can
stay for maximum 30 days Let me explain the difference between
Single and Multiple entry Visa. Consider I got a multiple Visa from
1 Nov- 15 Dec. From 1-15 November
I can stay in Paris, then I can go back
to India if I want. I can visit Paris Multiple time,
in that time frame. You can stay fro maximum 30 days, if you
include the 2 trips. In Single entry Visa, you can visit the
country only once. So now you understand
the difference between Single and
Multiple entry Visa. It's not in your hands, they will decide
what type of Visa they want to provide you. They survey your Passport or if you had
this Visa in the Past you get a multiple visit Visa. Even the duration of the Visa depends
on these factors. I will recommend you to plan for this
Trip, before 2 months. It takes around 40 days to get an appointment
for Visa. Appointment to give your biometrics
at the VFS Office. VFS is a contract based company that
looks after Visa for various countries. Most of the Visas of European
Countires are catered by VFS. I have divided the process step by step
for you all to understand. So you have to follow the same steps, 1. Filling the Visa Application Form
on the VFS website. 2. Getting Visa Appointment Date. It is done by the VFS team. 3. Carrying all your documents on the
Appointment date at the VFS Office. I will open my Laptop and will explain
all the steps. Here are the steps to follow
to apply for the Schengen Visa. With this you can travel to major
European Countries. First you have to search for VFS
Global website. You have to click; I am applying
from India. Then select I am going to France. Click Next, you will be taken to
a new page. There are 3 major steps, First fill out the
From. Second is to book an appointment. 3. you have to be present for
your appointment You have to submit your biometrics and
all the required documents. Let's start with the first step 1. Identfiy the Visa type Now go directly to the next step:
Begin your application. it redirects you to the France website. We have to fill the Application form at the France
Embassy Website. VFS has taken a contract to look at
the Visa applications for France. You need to create a new account. I have already created my account. These are the details that you need to
fill while creating a new account. Once on the embassy site and again
on the VFS site. Just basic info like, Name, email,
password, etc. After logging in, you can proceed with the
next step. As you can see I tried filling the details
twice, I missed out some details on the first
try, then I tried again the other time. They charged me only once, 2500INR. I had to pay 7500 INR at VFS office
BKC, Mumbai. Overall it costs around 10K INR
for France Visa. You have to enter your current
location as India. From here you can find out where are the
VFS offices in India. Then you can select time of
appointment. I will select Mumbai. Then you have to select Short Stay.
(Visa Type) Main destination of Stay-> France. Here you have to enter all the passport
details, Number, document, etc. In Plans, select Tourism. Leave Additional Information, blank. So I explained all the digital steps
that you need to follow. I explained all these steps in short. Then they ask your personal information,
gender, marital status, etc. job description, profile, etc. If any of your relatives stay there, you
need to put their information. on next page, they ask you have you
applied to Schengen Visa in past? If you click yes, you need to enter
the dates of your last visit. Then you have to enter the dates
of the Biometrics you submitted. Then you have to enter the address of
your stay. Then you have to enter your mode of
payment. Then you have to enter details of your
stay, Enter 'France' in that segment. Then they ask, will you
be visiting other countires as well, I entered
Netherlands, Belgium, etc. Your trip doesn't need to go
as you have planned. These were the simple steps you needed to
carry while filling the form. The Visa application form
will go under process. Download the pdf, then take an
appointment. After completing the 6 steps, download
the pdf file. Copy this refrence number, it will
be used in the upcoming step. Now we will move forward to booking
an appointment. Go back to VFS website now you have
to book an appointment. You need to create an account as
I mentioned earlier. Then you will get your appointment
number and details. Then you will decide the dates from the
available dates that are available. After selecting the appointment date, pay
2500 INR. When you go to appointment, you
have to pay them 7500 INR. On your appointment day, you need to carry
all your documents and 7500 INR. The total cost of Visa is 10000INR, Here are the documents
you need to carry, 1. Visa Application Form,
2. Visa appointment slip. Then you will get an entry into the office. Then you need to show the last 6 months
transaction(bank slip) It needs Bank Stamp and Sign. Then you also need to submit the
last 2 years ITR File. I had given the same statement when
I toured South Korea and Japan. You need to carry 2 passport-sized
photos. then you need to submit your itinerary. Here you need to explain all your daily
activity. Here you need to put the information
of your travel to nearby countries as well. Many Visas are rejected because of
improper Itinerary. Go through Google Maps before writing
your Itinerary. Many Tourists fail
to explain their travel plan, and write
anything unreasonable. You need to plan everything
in an organised way. Your Itinerary needs to be looked
sensible. Next document is
Covering Letter. Add your passport details in covering
letter, Then you need to add the places you will
be visiting in that letter. So these were the documents
you need to submit. You need to have a travel insurance of
50,000$. I got it around 2700 INR about
a year ago. Then you need to submit your biometrics
at the nearby VFS office. Within few days, you will
get your Passport. No need to worry about that. In the next video, we will be discussing
the expenses in Paris. Schengen Visa is a powerful Visa,
not everyone gets it. So it was very important to inform these
