INCREDIBLE kayak Speckled Trout fishing!

what is going on y'all it's ready for seven cities fishing back another video i'm trying to go kayak fishing i'm already having lulls in my plan left house forgot my camera equipment get to my kayak launch spot the water is so high eight because it's high tide and because of the rain that literally there is not even a foot of clearance to get under one of the train trestles that i launch at there's two other men there that have uh just paddle kayaks that sit way lower in the water column than mine and they were they were struggling to get under it and one turned around so i'm not going to mess with the stock the tide is still kind of coming in i wanted to fish that that certain area of the uh river i'm just gonna have to forego that i guess and just go launch at the jordan bridge and kayak all that and maybe if i want to kayak all the way down there but yeah sometimes you've got to change your plans go with what you got and maybe it'll plan out so hope you enjoy look at this water level people this is what i mean where i couldn't even launch in my other spot no no wonder like tell me anybody ever seen the elizabeth river jordan bridge launch like this that water ain't too dirty i can fish it still all right i made it into this cut i fished the popping cork for a little bit i'm just not touching it i'm just gonna rip around a swim bait man there's like this ash stuff falling on the ground i don't know what it is i think it's coming from that plant and uh it's kind of weird i don't want to breathe in but yeah let's see if we can't get some fish this is always a decently productive cove and i've had friends come here throughout the week and do pretty productive i found some fish people they're on this ledge right on this ledge you can see them all like that uh it's not as big as i thought but that's the kind of trout we want we want that that class and bigger just get a reference 17 inches but you don't need really heavy setup i think i uh caught like a 23 inch fish yeah 23 inch on a mirror lure on this light little rod i caught it the 21 and the video you already saw so light tackle can handle big old fish you don't have to have your seven foot medium heavy you want that sensitivity because once winter comes these trout are gonna be hitting it like that and you want that light light action to be able to feel that kind of stuff at least me i always hold my poles up to here i always have a finger on the blank that's just how i've grown up and been taught how to fish just my little two cents oh man missed him they're like all holding on to it or something like that that's really weird they're grabbing it and holding on to it like on the way down that is really weird oh it's a nice fish i'll just put them in he's 19. all right i've been fishing for like 40 minutes haven't had another bite i believe i have a 3 16 child i jig head that's the last one of the small ones i have in there so i have no quarter ounce or other size to reference it to other than my big ones for striper but if not uh i'll go with i got some 1 8 back there that i'll go even light as that because it seems like they're really hitting on the fall i want something to fall a little slower oh it's a big drill 17 or 18. man i know oh okay okay okay i will let you go or you don't pin yourself on the nice guy all right new leader tight on i really do think that weight change now that have a little calmer water not as much moving in and now it's believe like the beginning of outgoing i don't know right by the boat again oh that's a big one that's a big one slack out 21 almost 22. well guys that was the upper 20 fish i said probably about an hour ago that was around here that i wanted now let's see we can't rip up a citation fingers crossed that's a 21 that that shows me that there is citation class fish in this river now i know there is but a few weeks ago there was a bunch of babies so let's keep hunting let's keep hunting i'm getting a little colder let's figure out what actually happened to my fish finder i think i kicked a wire out or some oh there's a fish on it and i can't do that right now it's another nice one actually this drags just pretty loose no it is another nice one calm down i knew i should come out this morning i'm so happy 18 18 and a half there's one these are all good fish oh he's coming at me these are really good fish okay just jump in the boat then oh i just had to lift the camera died on this one but he's 18 and a half about the same as that other one i said was 18 and a half i'm gonna put the other camera on my head now that's been a really good day so far and it was a day that was not supposed to happen so last night i uh checked the weather and i said today was about a 40 chance and i was still gonna risk that and then i woke up to my alarm went and just double checked the weather and it said five percent chance all day i think some went up to 15 but i doubt that oh got a fish but i really doubt that and i knew if i came out here with this kind of overcast oh man it would be a trouty day and hey it's a trouty day all good class fish except for a few dinks which guys this video you won't see those dinks they were all like 15 inchers to like eight inchers another like 16 oh this is a female that's why you let fish go that's why i let fish go i love catching fish that's why i don't really i mean you keep fish i know that but i just like letting fish go i'll keep them for my friends i'll keep them if family wants them but i don't eat a lot of fish i like fish though oh i hate filleting fish after a day of fishing i hate it like i want to go home watch my footage and start editing i don't want to fillet fish but if y'all do ever want to see a catch and cook let me know so let me make sure the gopro's not all wet or anything i don't even know i brought my dang sunglasses there's a little water spot there was a little water spot right i checked hopefully that water spot wasn't there for a lot of these fights whatever it was i know y'all won't mind it's happened before it's part of fishing especially while you're filming just letting this thing sing jigging it reeling it some surprisingly i got quite a few bites jigging right by the kayak literally vertical jigging like i was for fun or guiding my jig down to the bottom so oh that's another giant baby look at that engulf the eye strike engulfed eye strength another way so i had this thing tethered i'm learning i'm learning how to kayak fish i have things tethered now not my rods and stuff but things let's get that river citation so gosh i had to scratch my head oh he's big get back down get back down is mean people you can use the light rod and still catch giant fish he's not really big but he's decent oh he's so purple he's so purple i mean i did just catch a 23-inch fish on this rod so yeah you can't catch giant fish get out of the net get out of the net get out of that there you go i'm hunting for that citation get out of here open up your mouth so i get the lure out thank you about it 18 inch maybe 19. we want them big 24s they're down there i know it i know it that fish broke me off i couldn't even move it it was so big oh no that was probably a citation i couldn't move it like i could not move that fish i have no more 3 16 i got a one-fifth i don't know math but that's less than a quarter and that quarter was going too fast so let's hope this works just as well i am heartbroken i probably should have retied after a lot of those boat flips and the big fish i've i've i think that's like the first time i've ever broke off on a fish honestly like that that's just that's that's just crazy so yeah i think this one fifth will work fine god lee bud you're going back in so oh my gosh dang no just another 22 inch fish guys i that was a citation that broke me off there's no way it wasn't if i'm able to move these 22 and 20 three inch fish like pull them thanks thanks train if i'm able to pull those 22 and 23 inch fish like that in that freaking trout i couldn't move hmm i was catching them from the mouth to back here i wasn't recording for this guy but i think he's really big seven cities fishing from seven cities dude this color's been really good when i get this in i'll tell you something i read on a stud dead but another like 19 something incher like no gopro battery left but i finally got one on the popping cork today another nice fish my camera's just dead and i didn't bring my external battery another big fish just can't film camera's dead the big trout i just can't record guys a big one can't film another nice one well decent [Music] all right all right guys i charged my camera up enough to do a little outro in the truck here man that was an amazing day of fishing uh best bite i've got on in the elizabeth river this year yet uh the big fish are finally in there as you all saw so uh i'm probably gonna go home charge my cameras up and i might hit it high
