Neuse River Trout Fishing (How To Find Trout)

all right hey good morning folks Jesse with southern rules and today I decided to do something a bit different so I'm down here in the Neuse River Pamlico Sound area and on the way in I stopped by Neuse River bait and tackle a spoke with Todd the owner is a super nice guy it was kind enough to share some local knowledge with me and I kind of point me in a general direction to start which is where I'm at this morning out here on this nice Creek and I don't start throwing some jigs and popping courts and trying a little bit of everything and working my way up in here I'm excited actually I'm freaking stoked because I love fishing new bodies of water cleaner hopefully I will get it at least something today wish me luck all right folks I think I don't start off shoaling first since I don't know the area kind of cover some ground see if I can catch any hang pretty much use a quarter stick hit on one and a 8 ounce date hit on the other behind me and start pedaling got one of them with kind of a clear color the other with a bright color to see which one works first isn't totally 8 down Sal ittle bit farther behind me got a bite that isn't a long definition here yeah first rider today is the keeper already all right so I rolled that shoreline right there actually caught a few fish over here I saw something on the sonar and seen much after that so I circled back out here into the channel switch this one out the eighth ounce out to a three-eighths out I'm about ten foot of water here gonna get a little deeper on the bottom see if they're on the very bottom maybe I'm gonna circle back around and hit that spot over here again naturally since I caught fish there that's what's up all right first I circled this area I really didn't get much but right through here I did catch some fish so I'm gonna try this before I move farther in naturally got a little eight downs on here yep decided to get back trollee does I'm impatient plus I really want to cover some ground now folks I'm kind of doing multitasking here had a quarter out still going that side rolling bright color on it eight thousand on this side rolling on the shallower side with a neutral color on it I'm willing about force little water just kind of working my way right down this Bank kind of just because I'm bored holding I'm gonna throw this mirror ahead of me see if i chance i landed on top of a big trout's head of course trolling you don't really get time to work it to where you supposed to better than just sitting here definitely a slow bite today i see boats running all around so that means that they're looking for fish I like I am yep ah sure 14 entry there now the 14 injured it's not bigger than that Oh in Iceland we all folks it's about midday and have officially trolled all the way back to the very back of this Creek here the last little portion up here I didn't really call to anything so I don't know if the water is very fresh or what's going on back in here so I'm turning around and I'm on my way back out and just gonna troll the opposite side of the creek all the way out I could have had a limit I would call six of them over 14 inches at this point I haven't kept any of them I want the big buoys you know I don't I don't you feel right keeping this little 14-inch trout that's what's up on my way back out and we'll see what happens pretty fish so keeper that was a discipline here [Music] that's a keeper 17 inches [Music] I'm a pretty decent mahir 17 [Music] bigger brother there ain't never done much what about them Court I'd really love to get something on this thing all right five more minutes I'm going back trolling an eager see how it does work Wow okay full confidence in popping corkage now just one any one and a half okay so I will be fishing with the poppin court quite a bit more often now beautiful fish holy crap I did not expect that just a white-gold on popping cork and a little more patience then I usually give something new I believe that best trout of the day and a method that I didn't even give any credit to at all a little guy I was hoping was another big all right a folks it's that time of day the Sun has set on another day of fishing on the water kind of slow starting out and got on some really good action at the end of the day here so I'm very happy with it got some very nice fish in the back I'm gonna get my butt up here to the truck get loaded up and head home well since I'm headed back I might as well roll back to the boat ran right who knows maybe I'll pick out one more yep I'll ask keeper who that paid off the troll out of degree well you know all right that's enough it's getting too dark
