Ikea Utrusta Cabinet Carousel - Lower "Lazy Susan"

[Music] I welcome to our channel on how we did it this episode I guess what we're doing is the moon trust uh this is the pullout of carousel shells for the lower base cabinet so when you unbox it you're gonna have all these pieces these are your slide tracks here this is your whole to hold your trays grills [Music] placemats we got two bags here so going through the instructions you get a pamphlet like this you're gonna go identify that you have all the parts you need and the next page it's going to tell you kind of where to start off at so you want to pay attention to this diagram up here depending on the orientation of your base cabinet you're gonna dictate where we're going to start in your instructions so our base cabinet is set up this way and we are going to go to page 15 okay going to page 15 all right this is where we start so first thing to note what this is trying to tell you install your hinges and your door first because after you install that riser bar you're not gonna get all your hinges so make sure you install that first and then you can proceed the step one step one slide that bag you're gonna have a template like so and we're going to go over to the base cabinet and mark out our holes and you can see in this diagram so basically you're gonna have your two arrows right here here they're gonna go on the edge of the cabinet one into the inside corner so don't mark these out real quick and get that base plate in slow [Music] [Music] okay so step two what you're gonna see is you're gonna have a base plate this guy right here and you're gonna need these four screws there countersink okay so looking at the instructions here in step two well you're gonna want to do and they don't really kind of clearly show this but you can see that there's a kind of a notch or a protrusion that the pipe is going to slip over that you're gonna have to reference in a certain I guess orientation so after looking at it what you're gonna want to do is you're going to have this point right here facing out towards you when you're installing so if you were to kind of install it into the cabinet that's how it'd be installed okay we're gonna go install this and so as you can see your little marks that you made with that template line up with the holes and that's where you're going to be putting in your screws [Music] there you go notice again have this little protrusion sticking out away from the cap okay now we're gonna be moving on to step three here you're gonna be I guess assembling your hinges they're going to attach to your riser pole what you're gonna need is these two sleeves they basically go over your riser pipe you're gonna have two plastic s pieces that install on the bottom and two pins now one thing to note as you can see in the instructions it's referencing those plastic pieces and to make sure to use the L notch so if you look at these pieces here they got two different references right one is for left the other ones for right okay so first we're going to take your middle piece here so what is showing on instructions you're gonna want your piece your hinge plate oriented as such you're gonna want that L notch on this side and it's going to go into that notch just like that make sense okay we'll do [Music] yeah holding the hinge back plate away from you referencing this notch and the L and just okay and that's that for that piece you're gonna take your razor pipe this is where I receive it take your hinge classic pieces doll it's going to be inside [Music] the top is thank you it's done okay okay this guy pissed off just like that all right Step five here you're going to be installing your riser pipe this is going to be where everything the Shelf gets pivoted onto as you can see that base plate that we installed earlier and I notch that kind of protrusion that stuck out towards the front it's going to be going into the notch on the riser pipe so this is kind of all one single step in a way to install this so we're going to be doing all three steps at once so in step six here you can see you're going to be installing the screws they're going to your normal drill down holes that are located on the piece of wood there and that's going to be with these screws here they're countersunk in there more of a coarse thread then we use for your regular base cabinets and then you have on step seven you're going to secure it into the top holes with these screws which is the same ones you use to put the base plate on so we're gonna go install that okay one thing to note when you put it in this brace into this corner cabinet you can see how we have three screws here okay that was to install that back plate to kind of reinforce this we put the pipe in to kind of dry fit it we notice that the hole that they wanted us to screw into it was actually the same hole in this our giveaw screwed into so we backed this out put this in I'm gonna referencing the notches make sure it slips in height and line up your holes as such take that walk screwed in still that back that hole that this guy see that this hole [Laughter] [Music] now we're gonna take these smaller screws and we're gonna go and they're gonna go in the holes [Music] right okay so played it all the way through step 7 step 8 we're gonna be building on countries so as you can see here even use your trade board slider it's on the pole and your board oriented so as you can see here we have smaller holes this is gonna be the box top side that's what you're going to be attaching okay the other thing to note is upside down figuration you're gonna want this I this is again for re orientation bass cabinet going in a different direction our purpose it's all done now we gotta find our space right your package here so again holes where they're going see there's [Music] Oh [Music] [Music] [Music] is tight listen so you want to overtake me slide back and forth one of the things to note is it came with some plastic wrapping it around the hey ginger I had already taken that off and then we had opened this up so it might be smart to just keep those sealed until you're done you can just rip them off or something oh yeah here you only put them okay so after looking at the instructions those clips are actually for is to stop this real basically back stops you can see this way a little bit of a lip okay that's gonna go towards the outside okay a little bit less you and then there's a hole that's already in there again not to over thread Nancy hey stepped in jesusí now it's telling you to flip the assembly over flipped it what you're gonna do is have you seen our carousel video for the upper cabinet you're gonna have your clips here they're all gonna clip into these because all there okay that's gonna hold that metal real so that way you can put stuff in the shelf and so these are pretty simple install just pushing it it's actually easier to install the glass yeah you can be a little bit more rough with what do they need to be facing outwards facing you know what we might have we're so tight yeah you live in you earn Billy uh use this video to do better than right I expect someone to come out with like a glorious video other than my crap I think we were worried about like you know it being being careful with the boss okay so we sold all the way around don't forget the rubber mesh to keep it together because we didn't do that lesson from one of those times if I got it's messed up I hope they do you know figure out how to do it right okay so in that plastic parts bag you got these little connectors all they do is they can these ends together take my flash off again ah geez kinda like right up in the meat right here that's you take apart okay so after some technical difficulties for me to be installing the easiest way to do is after you joined ago you go right here to sign in the back okay click that guy in line up your edge same thing over here [Music] if you have ones that end up being on the rock side after you click those in I recommend clipping [Music] you have a real clip now on step 13 what it's telling you to do is to put in a rubber bump stop you're gonna reference your back I guess the station we're gonna fill this thing oh right where the it's the gun in rotation here so our rotations here other rotation okay okay now we're gonna go in and install the shelves so you tip them in sideways kind of like with the carousel you're gonna take it you're gonna flip it up and step 14 you can reference there's too little I guess pigs that's gonna sit onto these holes down here and then you're gonna have two screws that you're gonna screw in they're gonna go down okay so we're gonna install this one first I'm not sure how good in the video we're gonna get it go inside with inside of the shelf here you got that what come onto the hinge and none of those pigs okay you can see down here at page these are the holes that we'll be installing the screws [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] let's go mr. berry batter yeah he's still recording all right so after you get this installed the bottom one you're gonna take the bottom hinge you're gonna lift up on it okay you're gonna take your PIN out the pin okay and you're gonna put it in the bottom bottom okay yes like so okay [Music] mmm we go one higher just yeah that way I can have the big heavy stuff on the bottom again for the second one are you gonna do this you're gonna lift it bring it into the kid and then you're just gonna flip this and try not to move your head might be helpful put it on those pecs okay put in your shoes and everything [Music] hmm okay [Laughter] [Music] this trick and hold step 17 you get to install your textured mats they're kind of like anti slip so keep everything in their spot so it's kind of nice if they include this so we actually thought it was gonna be something extra you done the texture at the bottom on the smooth drive the wrong way do you see you feel that it's pretty it's pretty grippy [Music] yeah it's kind of every time good push [Music] [Music] all right and this is what it should look like you got your door on your care something and then kind of noticed that the you can't have your back stock there when I give it a little bit of a firm push that kind of locks it in place he keeps it so it doesn't rub on the side you can thanks for watching
