I think Robbie's gonna like this we hope [Music] see that seat is empty that's because the boss stayed home she didn't want to go and have fun with me where I'm headed and I can't tell you guys where I'm headed but if somewhere cool and it might be the land of where people love cheese so Robbie is out of town until tomorrow night and I've had this idea since we went to get Hillbillies Harley um that I wanted to make something so I'm gonna go to hillbilly what my idea is we're gonna make a car out of wood like Flintstone and get I don't know pedaling it I don't know is it going to be a convertible I don't know we're gonna brainstorm this and then we're gonna go to the hardware store and then we're gonna execute our plan last time when you went to the hardware store we went we brought grass back the 57. maybe if we just start doing it while he's not here he'll be excited when he sees it we're gonna be headed to the airport catching a flight and you're gonna go hang out with me for a couple of days back east [Music] all right so we've made it Milwaukee Wisconsin so we're headed to the Milwaukee tool pipeline so I'm going to take you guys with show you all the new crazy tools they have to offer and gonna try them out and hopefully take some home so we've got an Uber coming we're gonna head over to the trade Milwaukee hotel and then I'm off to Milwaukee tools to get some dinner and then go hang out for the night in Milwaukee so I've never been here but should be a pretty nice time I've got all day tomorrow planned out to hang out at Milwaukee tools and then Wednesday I'm gonna explore the city maybe find some cheese while I'm out here so I want to take you along but for now we'll see you at the hotel so what we got so far is three four by fours for the frame two by fours we're not sure on how many we need we need some door handles for the doors actual house door handles right doorknobs yep we're going to be building something what like a box truck well let's just start making the body and go from there so hardware store here we come so Hillbilly's asking a lot of questions I don't know that will help us determine how many two by fours we need I don't know I thought we would just start building it and it would be easy and simple I was wrong it's not just easy and simple you have to have all these plans so this is probably why Robbie didn't want to do this we'll have it done or do you want it to look like a pickup truck for anything for structure I would probably say use three quarter inch and then whatever you're building the body you can build that out half an inch how much piece to the puzzle getting loaded up so we went to hermanson's and the nice guy that works at hermanson's helped us a ton he gave us a lot of good ideas so now we're just gonna go and build the frame first retro track Supply to get axles and tires only three different I've spoked wheels I don't know about that there's four of these perfect now what should I grabbed the carp so if we had [Music] that should be white enough what do you think yep we're gonna see got the tires and axles I always need to find carrier bearings [Music] this doesn't look like very much wood guys we're just doing the frame okay one step at a time Dave hermanson's Hardware Fill Their Minds full of information so now our brains hurt so we're starting with the basics it doesn't take much information to make your brain hurt we're starting at the bottom okay Dave at hermanson's really got our minds thinking a lot more so we're just starting with the frame and then we're going to go from there [Applause] another Innovation story doesn't just happen overnight all right so I made it to Milwaukee Wisconsin we're here at Milwaukee Tools right there I don't even know what campus we're at I think the Brookfield campus so we're checking out tools today we're going to go in do some presentations and then I can do some Hands-On with all the tools so we had a long day travel yesterday but today we're going to be seeing a lot of cool stuff we're gonna be checking out a lot of cool tools and the cool thing about this is those tools we're gonna have to go back home with us not too late but they'll ship them to us and then we can use them and give you guys some honest feedback and see how much we like them or don't like them but I've watched the channel for a while you know that I actually like Milwaukee tour so I'm just happy to be here I'm excited to show you guys what they have I think they're unveiling like 50 or 60 new tools which is super cool they've got a new battery pack that I've been hearing about and I'm excited to show you guys that too so we'll get inside and go check some stuff out so we're just trying to figure out how wide we can make this 28 inches wide a frame we can overlap I'll be back to check your progress we'll be done I did say 28 right yeah so there's 28 seven feet and eight inches it's a pretty long car [Music] there's one frame yeah worth 31 inches three inches one two three four inches four [Applause] now we should be at the right width 28 right on the money and this is gonna be even [Music] what do you mean even like level no we might have a diamond frame as long as we go straight down the road so it matters the front or the back is done depending on what it ends up being now we'll see how Square we are there 97 [Music] 96 so we are shifting just a little bit but it's made out of Twisted wood so doing our best we can so a cool thing that they just came out with is the M12 fuel Insider box ratchet It's a Long Reach box ratchet that the socket actually goes inside of it so you have this new socket that's Hollow in the center that goes inside the long barrel ratchet you can get all the way down inside of where you need to be to loosen things up you can get an entire rail of sockets that are closed-barreled or open barreled these ones are closed it's for those hard to reach spots like down inside like this all of these are M12 ratchets this is your stubbies your medium Barrel stubby long barrel long barrel Insider this is what it looks like taken apart so this is a 3D printed version of the Insider ratchet head it's kind of cool this is the fastest removal speed out of anything so this is the M18 red lithium forged battery powered fuel half inch impact well that will sit right there at least three cross ports at how's that possible better cut the same as these and I can get the board to blow towards it 25. but the center is wider than that yes that means the boards are going like this both over here we have the fuel the M18 fuel driven to outperform so this is where it started in 2013 right here 2017 it was redesigned for this and here they have a brand new redesigned for 2023 half inch impact but they have some demos here from other brands and then they've got the Milwaukee so I'm going to actually take and put a bolt up together and take it apart with every brand out there and see which one's the best so Milwaukee is coming out with a brand new line of Hardline wrenches sockets ratchets and a pick set we've got Long Reach needle nose pliers and just an entire line of automotive driven tools the thing that I love about Milwaukee is they're Innovative and they're constantly redesigning and upgrading and making things better so this is something that I am going to get in the shop that I have wanted for a while for a new belt sander all right so I'm just going to screw in the last port and then we're gonna put the axle what is it axle thing yeah this is the right way [Music] all right foreign what did you do you're trying to run that screw to China holy crap [Music] why does it keep doing that I don't know time for the axles we're going to drill a hole and run bolts through it it's right there right there was right we might have an axle fall off I think we'll be okay [Music] we should have left it 10 feet long why because then we could have the wood limo the holes drilled for the Carter keys and I'm gonna have to turn this down because it's not fit inside they're like supposed to need to get us a shop back for the shop this compressor right here it's such an awesome tool we use it for everything we're using the talking gun I've got oh that fan is the one that I used as an AC unit on the way back from Reno so this is the best access maximum grip Force Long Reach pliers and Long Reach hose Grip Pliers you can get all the way down inside of a tube this is the competitions can't even grab it uh oh what did you take your carrier bearing off because this right there and it can't ride right there on this other side my mistake the lock ring so the axle doesn't slide side to side sits right there it won't do that on this other side this is gonna work good foreign to stick right here so that way it doesn't try right uh doesn't move in and rub on the body hey we can flip it over and see what it looks like with wheels it's like a trailer yeah hi I'm Calvin kirkbride product manager with Milwaukee tool on the fastening team today we're very excited to introduce you the M12 fuel Insider extended reach box ratchet this tool is going to deliver unrivaled access giving over three quarters of an inch lower profile than the cordless competition this is also going to be able to unlock a lot of different applications being the same if not smaller than manual Solutions used today with 60 foot-pounds 350 RPM you're going to be able to do everything at a much higher rate of speed this is going to deliver everything you need in a cordless ratchet so the cool thing about this is when you try to go and actually put your ratchet into a tight spot you can see it's kind of on an angle and we've all done this I'm guilty of it I've forced a ratchet into there and I've pulled the bolt out and then you're locked then you got to get a pick in there you gotta turn your head around tighten it back up so what this is going to do is this is now going to allow you to get into these tight spots break that bolt loose spin it out at 350 RPMs then not only that when you go to put it back in it's got 60 foot pounds of torque I appreciate your time hey thank you we can't wait to try this and when's it going to be available this is going to start shipping September 1st of this year so you're going to be seeing it out there in less than a month cool and that's what's going to bolt this to the board is those four bolts and then we'll put one here big one on both sides and this piece will kind of look like that I think Robbie's gonna be happy with our work or make fun of our work he's probably gonna want to make his own so we're gonna have to go out and see what we can't find for metal because this ain't working very well wouldn't it just be easier to show the hardware store we might have something where we don't have to go to the hardware store we just might get stung I already see some bees over there climbing up the windows one are you allergic oh look rather the big old nest nope that could stay shut we'll go to the hardware store so couldn't find what exactly what I need so now we're going to kind of build it like a old lawnmower setup take the pen the other axle shaft we got cut it to length heat it up and bend it to where the tire sits on there like supposed to but the washer welded at the elbow so it can't slide and rub against the axle shaft drill a hole for the Carter key and then have it go up through the C Channel that I made weld the washer here and have a club top weld another washer here and here so it can't move up and down or fall out and then we can just weld the piece of bar coming off that type of staring into Tony is going to tell us all about the M18 fuel so you guys we're going to take take you through a little history lesson here so when we look back at the 2013 we launched our first generation of our M18 fuel half inch high torque impact wrench now this solution right here was a was a cordless impact wrench that just competed with those pneumatic and corded Solutions you found on the shop and in the job site and through countless hours of research and visits we were able to you know understand what some of those frustrations were to to minimize that gap between accorded a Pneumatic tool versus a cordless tool so fast forward to 2017 where we launch our second generation of fuel to where we truly change the game and raise that bar to completely eliminate the need for a corded or pneumatic solution in the shop around the job site and since then over the past six years our 2767 that Gen 2 fuel has been the industry leader when it comes to a half inch high torque impact wrench now our Gen 3 is going to be the most power done solution in its class at only 5.9 pounds bare tool it's going to deliver up to 1200 foot-pounds of fastening torque and 1600 foot-pounds a nut busting torque when paired with our new M18 red lithium Forge xc6 amp hour battery in order to make you guys more productive we provided you guys with a solution that delivers the fastest removal speed so no no need to you know be waiting on those Ruster rusted stubborn lug nuts Bolts Etc this tool is going to be able to complete those jobs I've started out with this one I've had two of these M18 Milwaukee fuel impacts one of them went through the fire it's like it's the one in my shop that's all scorched I do have one of these updated versions from 2017 but I don't have the new one so when can these start shipping yeah they're gonna be selling these so our friction ring model will start shipping in October of this year a couple more weeks we're actually gonna be coming out with a pendy tent version as well that'll start to ship in December of this year the cool thing about these new red lithium Force 6-0 batteries is they are going to be equivalent to the HD 12.0 amp hour batteries that they've that we've seen in the past might say 6-0 but it's going to be the same power as the 12 amp power on the it's the XDS right H2 yeah the HD 120 amp hours so these are going to be an awesome game changing battery I can't wait to have one in the shop well cool here goes nothing [Music] [Music] it's awful 90. there we go there's one now I can cut it where I need it and do it all over again put that on foreign right there [Music] there's the second one [Music] oh [Applause] Houston we got dead battery we're gonna test it out and see what it can do oh it's about to fall off tightening this up you dang near need to have two hands on it it's also got a safety feature where it stops at 50 50 foot pounds of torque hold the trigger and it'll actually stop so that's pretty cool [Music] almost got one bracket cut and shaped the way I want it so let's finish it up and I'll get the other one started there's one bracket done or Not Just Gotta drill the holes steering shaft through it weld the stuff on there so kind of slip up and down and figure out how I'm going to get it to steer just like that now we just gotta find out exactly where we want it drill the holes and then measure from the center of the steering arm and it's like match up on the other side draw four holes through the board right there so there's our first bolt going into it um not even close check right here whoa probably just this but that steers everything but now it's way down as I come around what the heck I'm not really sure centered I'm gonna say right there hitting the plate there we go with this being Square to this board we're way off I just measured this side is different than that side so when it works straight across so it stares straight oh that's the center why we didn't measure the back axle because it might not be straight it might be crooked is that a problem we might want to Major that it's Auto Body business doesn't work out we're gonna go into the building wooden cars business so we gotta put the tire on it [Music] perfect right there hit it is it the cricket yeah I hit all my holes right on so now we'll get the bolts put on all those still gotta do steering all right so Milwaukee has come out with a ton of new stuff they're going to be coming out with some gear wrenches they've already got some pry bars some shears some impact sockets they've got an entire line of automotive solutions for your tool needs so these I've got on order so this is a little mini band file I use a band file all the time in the shop especially when I'm working on custom stuff we've also got a little bit larger version these are super awesome it's been a lot of fun just checking out all these tools seeing what Milwaukee has to offer an array of different styles of impact drivers sockets Rivet Guns they've got a one inch nut buster for the Diesel Industry I'm not going to pick that one up because it's probably heavy they got lights we've got spotlights they got polishers they've got everything you need we've got the wheels on it and it rolls pretty well so now hillbilly seems to think that he knows how to make this run so we went to go grab the leaf blower we'll see found their motor to go we'll see how good it works [Music] I thought it would have worked how did you think that was gonna work we put a sale on it and it could be our sell car [Music] would that really work yeah it works on sailboats [Applause] it's moving the saddest news there will probably be no gravity burnouts in the wooden car [Music] looks pretty good 14 inches where to cut out so the tire is clear oh yeah Tire's right here okay [Applause] starting to screw this down I'm gonna sliver is this the going the right way now we have like 100 more to do so we're talking with Ricky about Milwaukee's new tap and die kiss so we've got SAE and they have metric and there's a lot of cool things that come along with it so he's going to tell us a little bit about the features of it yeah absolutely so Milwaukee Taps and dies actually just launched yesterday so we're officially shipping out excited to bring that Innovation to you guys um we have we offer over a hundred different sizes of plug Taps taper Taps hex size other other threading accessories but really one of the big things here with the when using Taps and Dives today we've identified a lot of opportunities here to innovate in this space one thing that you're holding there is our hex lock two in one handle compatible with one inch hex size as well as Taps up to half inch so one of the biggest frustrations today when working with Taps and dies is the need to carry various handles so these include tap wrenches t-handles die socks and even more so what it does is it consolidates the total number of components that you guys have to carry around with you uh as we'll we'll give you a quick demonstration and show the compatibility so the t-handle it accepts a die one in check size Yep looks like that and then you can also take this one inch adapter with the tap and it fits right in there as well so the cool thing about this is if you don't want to use a t-handle or you have a tight spot you can't really reach with the t-handle you've got a bar in here and it takes it back the old style some other ways we innovate in the space are the markings so our clear easy identification on our product uh this is something that competitors are really lacking so we call out the dimensions the thread size uh standard and Metric sizes as well as the start this side call out that's for people like me so you know which side to start it on so what we've got here set up we'll kind of transition into a demo if you want to give this a shot so um I've never tapped anything so this is going to be my first time and I just want to see how easy it is so this is super super hard and stainless steel and this tap is just going to go through it super easy it's actually aluminum that was a joke again the hex stock 200 handle you can use it to cut internal threads as well as external threads you've got the two in one handle there this is a competitor wrench we understand there's a lot of different sizes out there and different types it's a very popular one sold in our sets this is going right through it super easy super easy t-handle tap and dice that easy to cut those threads into metal applications we're excited to get these out to our users and and give a try out for themselves absolutely so we're gonna have to get these back to the shop so that when hillbilly breaks the bolt off we can extract it fix the threads and keep on working all the screws are in now we just need to figure out steering yes so this is our steering shaft and then our steering wheel while the nuts into the pipe so we can adjust it to align it now I'm going to work on getting the steering column nobody bought this for our steering wheel it's pretty ain't it yeah tell them why the reason I got this so if you ever have a flat tire we can take tire off take the steering wheel off put this on there and get us home it's our spare tire plus steering wheel into one so hillbilly wants to sit on the actual wood of the car but I think we should get some chairs and he wants on chairs and I'm gonna go with it because I don't know how else to put any chairs in there so we're going to run to Walmart and we're going to grab some lawn chairs so we ran to Walmart and got our chairs we want to screw some camping chairs down to the wood foreign oh yeah we could fit two on there maybe not oh yeah this is gonna work great oh except the very back person can't really sit on it until the front one's on [Music] so now the wheels turn together they're not very straight that I can fix just by cutting this like I need to which to attach this to here when we go get the lumber to build benches and get some L brackets to go beep beep beep beep and I'll start it side to side that's gonna work real nice now I'm just drilling the hole I think it's gonna work out real nice you hope it does oh it will is Robbie know about it yet no this is why I did I'm not executing it very well I don't want to turn so the steering not working so we're gonna try and figure that out all right so we're with Leah she's going to talk to us about all the new tools that she has to offer for us all right so I'm here talking about our new Milwaukee tool bit sockets with four flat sides so the number one complaint that we heard from users is that they're always losing their sockets because they roll away look at this no roll got some slide but no roll I actually until today had no idea why the new pack out sockets had squares on them why it was Square so another benefit of the square is that when you're in a really tight space you don't have enough room to fit both the socket and the ratchet head is that you can take a wrench to them get those tight spots avoid having to take off additional Parts you know Innovation doesn't have to be accomplished you guys are disrupting this ratchet space we saw a lot of competitor two-piece designs where the bit was snapping off or coming completely separated from the base so we made ours one solid forged piece of Steel which adds reinforcement to the bit tip giving you added durability when will these be available these are going to be available in March sorry to make you wait next year so hopefully we get a a test set so we can try them out I'll be able to see if I can break a t50 have not yet found a t50 that doesn't break well are you putting them on impact of course absolutely we absolutely put them on viewers these are not impact rated yeah I know we're excited to be able to show you guys these next year when they come out but we're gonna go check out some more stuff so we're trying to figure out the steering and now we have an even bigger problem hey they turn its will steering wheel but they both turned the same direction can either go straight or stop because this is going straight and that could be our break I'll figure it out this is the problem that we're facing is this doesn't reach I like these these are some Long Reach pliers when we were out working with you guys you know we were finding that you're working in tight spaces and you can't fit a standard pair of pliers in there so we wanted to look at what was already in the market and what we found is there are two kind of main types there's a single jointed pair of pliers and there's a double jointed pair of pliers so with the single joint the benefit here is that you get this extra strong grip and when you're squeezing you can really push down and it it'll it gives extra force over here to grab onto whatever you're grabbing onto really tight the challenge is when you're reaching in to tight places it closes those players up and you're not able to grab stuff that you want the other type of pliers that's out there is a double jointed pair of pliers and that can reach all the way in there but the challenge that those have is because of that geometry once you once those players are closed you can't squeeze them any tighter they don't get any tighter so you lose the ability to really grab onto things firmly what we did was we created our Frost handle cross handle Deep Reach design here which allows us to grab onto things all the way down at the end the same way that a double pointed pair would well because it's a single joint you're able to really squeeze on and get as much force on anything you're grabbing onto in addition we also added a bunch of different gripping zones on here so you can grab wires hoses nuts anything that you guys are working with and they'll be available in stores in about the next month then yeah that means I'm going to have to get some to try out look at this all the way down not even an issue and you can actually open that up even wider look at how wide I can literally open all the way to the edge of the pipe figured it out they go the same direction now now we should need more lumber to build the seats we're getting somewhere we got steering we got steering we're taking a look at most of the automotive style stuff this is something that I would use definitely a grinder it's got this cool new attachment on the handle don't know how it works but it folds somehow so this is our new dual trigger braking grinder that's kind of cool knowing that that handle never comes off we made it so you get 15 positions you can rotate it left right and Center as well as tilt it back along the body so you can still have accessibility comfort and even storage if you need that's the Grinders we've got the construction area there's so many different tools here that are just awesome but we've seen about every single thing that we needed to see can't wait to be able to get some of these tools back to the shop and start using them any of you guys have watched for any amount of time on this channel you know that I love Milwaukee Tools so that's why we flew out here to Milwaukee Wisconsin come hang out with the people from Milwaukee for the day at the Milwaukee pipeline 2023. there's going to be a link in the description that'll take you over to Milwaukee's website you guys go check everything out get a feel for the tools if you don't know anything about them they are the best cordless tool on the market and now they're breaking into screwdrivers pliers sockets a bunch of different hand tools for the automotive industry so I just asked Robbie box truck truck van or car whatever he says is the what how we're gonna do it so huh is one of them he said van looks like we're building a van should we build one of these old vans wait what is it called Metro Mighty van so that means you get it go get stencils and paints Metro across the front okay let's do it we should do it eight feet tall I will probably dip on us probably [Music] oh I'm definitely no Carpenter that's very sturdy so before I got up there and I was shaking it and it was kind of really wobbly so that Center helps support all of it I think Robbie's gonna like this we hope you ready for the Moment of Truth what the first side panel [Music] foreign square or this ain't cut Square I'm gonna blame all this on this I have a big gap here or have a small gap down here or we can have the grill come flush to this all the way out and same with the hood but not the window the window the well just do that 'll be fine foreign now we gotta cut this [Music] putting the hinges on it [Music] that looks pretty good it's looking like a real truck considering we've never done this Romance I'm taking a break from this woodworking stuff because I'm not very good at it we'll go back to what I'm good at and that's metal working I can weld and cut and grind Steve does not approve of our when you say box fan I mean that's a box and we talked to Raleigh and I think he's so excited to see this I'm kind of thinking that he's gonna make fun of us it was a lot cooler in my brain I think it was a lot cooler and nail bullied brain now I don't know if it's so cool or not we might only get a half done car [Music] oh actually we'll steer no no too much weight I need those brackets I don't think those brackets are gonna help ye have little faith is what Robbie would say I'm starting to get very disappointed ah you melted our steering wheel just a wee bit I think we better stop until Robbie gets here whoa it's turning it's a lot of effort fixed off bad we're about to push our half finished car down the parking lot we'll see how it goes around to the other tow truck yeah sure it lasts that long I like a lot harder [Music] I think you need a bigger steering wheel it rolls nice yeah it rolls nice we've got derpied a lot of different Vehicles well that's one derby car I wouldn't want to be eating you're popping wheelie your turn to push me Steve what do you mean I'm older than you whoa okay [Music] let's figure out something else for the steering shaft okay scary we're done it's done it's our half gun go-kart who's alone that's dope that's cool was it fun why you gotta steer it okay so Robbie is here we're about to show them our awesome car I'm not sure how he's gonna react so I just got back from Milwaukee Wisconsin and I am here to see what my team's been up to while I've been gone we're about to see our turd piece what our turd piece can't really call it a masterpiece to look better in our minds they look different with those things that is gonna take some getting used to those are just Temporaries he's got permanence coming but those teeth are looking sweet well let's go see I have to warn you before we do anything it does not run it does not drive in the steering it did steer but not the more heck keep me close [Music] Mr one walled Metro van what is that what did you guys I had a bill well it does roll it rolls rolled nice what the heck and it gets here because I pushed your wife down the alleyway to steered decent and then I got on it wheels are towed out and then I got on it and the string all twisted what have you guys done oh my gosh well I didn't use a heavy enough bald pipe uh I can tell you that the geometries all on I believe you guys know three days and this is what you do are you impressed you want to go for it right he'll go again we might need to figure out steering well no a ride is just back and forth go back okay honey help okay backwards what have you guys done are you impressed I'm so impressed I'm definitely not on a carpenter all right yeah where's Sean look it's working divorce all right back look at this it runs and steers just fine all right I'm over it I think I might have to go ahead and try to spearhead the rebuild of whatever this is I'm just blown away that's it good job sweetheart you are amazing hillbilly you're fired will work perfect as always we appreciate you if you enjoyed this video go check out this one [Music] oh bearings are good but you guys at least you didn't skimp on the bearings
