What I wanna show you right now is a very cool little artifact. I had a small signal here and look at what I just pulled out. (intense music) (techno music) Hey. Well that was quite a drive, but we made it. We had some nice dinner, drinking some nice German beer right now. So yeah, see you guys tomorrow. Really looking forward to it. (dramatic music) Good morning, we are currently walking on a former WWII frontline, somewhere on the Eastern front. It's a cold winter day, it's about two degrees Celsius, or 36 Fahrenheit. What can you expect this video? Well, a lot of trees, a lot of metal detecting, and hopefully a lot of WWII history. Finally, something interesting again. Just dug this out. It's a lighter. This definitely looks like a WWII model, looks quite old. Obviously a lot of soldiers smoked, so this one was probably lost. I'm wondering if there is something on it, but we will clean it at home and we'll see. Well guys, Kenny did it again. He shouted at me that he had something nice, this time he wasn't bitten by red ants. - I found something. There's quite a clear shape on it. Some sort of star. Let me see so I can focus. Yeah, that is clearly a star. Isn't this a soviet flag? - Yes, it is. - The top? - Yeah, it is. Oh, man, oh wow. See the red color. Yeah, that's the original red color I think. Let me just give you one more closeup. Yeah, we will probably find out at home what it is exactly. I don't know now but this is definitely Soviet stuff. Nice one. Right, not too far away from where I just found the lighter that I just showed you, I found a coin and I recognized it immediately as a German pfennig and I also had a peek at the backside and there should be a German eagle there, so I thought that we could do this together, we'll give it a slight brush. Here, that's a very clear German eagle. Yeah, that's a very cool coin, we don't find these in this condition too often. Right here, I just found the five pfennig right next to it, I had another signal. And this very neat button just came out. And I've never seen this type of button before. I think it says 25. And the shackle is still on the back. So it might be some Regiment button, not sure if it's German or Soviet, but we'll definitely find out, I guess. My friend John over there in the back is metal detecting this forest road, and behind me, Kenny is lucky again, also on this forest road. - I guess I'm the star of this area. Soviet star. That's very funny because last time, you found exactly one of these, right? Mm hmm. Is it the same? Well, I think it's the same, it's an aluminum button. Yeah, the back is iron-like, so yeah, that's exactly the same like last time and it's a Soviet uniform button. Yeah, that's a cool find. Pretty cool, yeah. I would like to take this moment to thank Justice Pyron and Colt for being my very first patrons and supporting my work. We recently launched our very own Patreon and for only a couple dollars per month, you can support our work and in return get access to exclusive photos, videos, whereabouts, you name it. (intense beats) you can find find the link here and also in the video description. Again, Kenny shouted at me. He had something interesting again in a foxhole, I think? - Yeah, small one. You didn't recognize what it was, did you? No, I didn't. - German mess tin. - Mess tin. They ate from this, and yeah, I mean, it's quite rotten, but you see some original paint here, and that could be some markings in it, some soldiers carve their initials in it. So that would be quite cool to discover. Yeah, that's a cool find, man. German mess tin, or also called Essgeschirr. Well guys, it's finally my time to find something. See my stuff over here, and I had a very nice signal over here. Let me just show you a little bit what I have discovered so far. First, I saw this, and I thought, 'Huh, looks like a barrel.' And I tried to excavate it, and I came across this. And this looks like a magazine well. So I'm quite sure that this is either a rifle or a sub-machine gun. From the looks of it, I would say a rifle, but I guess we're gonna find out. (intense music) yeah, its definitely a Mauser, K98k rifle. German standard issue rifle. It was the, yeah, the primary rifle used by the German army, basically. I think more than 14 million were produced, it's a crazy number, really, so I'm not surprised that we find these quite often, actually. Yeah, here's the trigger mechanism, here's the trigger part. Yeah, that's in quite nice condition still. Yeah, that's a neat little rifle. Mauser K98k. Is the trigger still there? Let's see, yeah, the trigger is still there. Yeah, so they probably smashed off the buttstock. Beautiful, man. - Definitely. - Congrats. This time it was my friend Jack's turn. - I'm not sure what it is, man. That looks colorful. That looks like a badge, right? - Could be anything to me, I think it is a badge, as you can see here. I'm not sure whether it is German, Russian. Is there any writing on it? - Yeah, but it's pretty hard to read. I think it is Russian, man. Shall I give these guys a closeup? That definitely does not look like German language. It's probably Russian. Cool find, man. Everybody's gathering up again because John shouted at us. He said he might have something special here, so you better come over. - Yeah, so again, this is a gun. Is it a little bit bent? - It is bent, yeah. It's probably a wrecked K98k rifle. Yeah, we've seen better conditions but they are definitely cool to find. Another rifle. Not too long ago, Kenny found a German mess tin in a quite rotten condition and yeah, he said that he found another one. - This one is much nicer. That still has the original green color, man. It's quite undamaged. - It's great. Can you see some initials or something? - Unfortunately not yet, but yeah, it's in great shape. John, he yelled at me, and said that he found MG parts, so I just rushed over to him. - I think this is the lid of a MG. Yeah, the top cover. - I think it's a MG42. It's incredible to find MG parts, it's such an iconic machine gun. (brush scraping) Yeah, that's definitely a neat find, man, that's awesome. MG42 top cover. - That's what it is. (dramatic music) Right over there is where we found the MG parts. And we got a lot of iron signals over here in this area and then we had something interesting right there. It has a very round shape. I'm actually quite sure that it's a helmet. I'm not really sure which one yet, but guess we're gonna find out now because it's loose. Yeah, unfortunately there's not that much left of it. I think that's a Soviet helmet. It's clearly not a German one. So that's a first one for me. Unfortunately in half, but it's clearly one. I just flipped this over and you can see something there. Something red. That definitely looks like a Soviet star with the symbol on it, the Soviet symbol. I think that's a cap badge. Let's give it a slight brush. The original color and everything, it's all still there. It's quite impressive. Good quality stuff. I do think I see a manufacturer's stamp there. Yeah, over here. Yeah, nice one. I am so excited right now, we're just hitting one target after the other all cool WWII stuff. - I just dug up this MP40 mag, well I think it's MP40. Is it empty, or? - Yeah, it's empty. Nothing in it, just-- - Filled with sand. - Yep. Let me see. Yep. Yeah, man. - I was already looking for the gun, but I can't find it yet. Well we found it last time, maybe. - Yeah, exactly. (laughs) Cool find, man, MP40 magazine. The guys over there are taking a well-deserved break. They thought that the afternoon was over, that we probably weren't gonna find anything anymore but I just had a small high signal, and we again, found something quite interesting. You can see it there, just give it a slight brush, you can clearly see a German swastika, I think this is a German NSDAP badge, a Nazi party badge. And yeah, there's probably some writing on there. It's not really a badge that a soldier would wear, so I'm not really sure how it ended up here It's not really readable yet, but it should say NSDAP. Some writing is readable here but we have to further clean this later on. John just pointed out that he had quite a couple of signals here and just found something also. - I think this is the back heel of a shoe. Yeah, military boot. - Of a boot, yes, and this is a German spoon. Isn't it a Löffel, or a Göffel? - Or a Göffel, yeah, something like that. Yeah, it belonged to the, or it went with the mess tin kit basically, right? Or it was just standard issued spoon. - Yeah, I think so, and there was a fork there. Cool man. - There were attached together. Yeah, you're looking at the spot where john just found the Göffel, and we actually found some more very cool stuff here. - Just found a tiny coin. Yeah. - There's more. I just dug up this bracelet, very neat. And Kenny, just showed this fork, this fork went with the Göffel, the spoon that we just found. It was a combination, basically. So yeah, now we have the full set. What I wanna show you right now is a very cool little artifact. I had a small signal here and look at what I just pulled out. It's a soldier's ring. I'm not quite sure, I think it's a copper one. We found this before in our previous video, usually the soldier left the gold version at home with their wife, but really curious if it has any initials in it. Gonna look if I can find that out. Well, you can definitely say that we've hit a hot spot right here. I think in maybe two or three square meters, we found all of these finds. So that's quite a couple of coins, some buttons, a soldier's ring, a soldier's bracelet, and a German spoon and fork combination. I am back home and cleaned up the ring a little bit. It turns out it's actually a golden wedding ring, which is really incredible. There are some clear markings inside. You can see the letters M and H. The soldier who lost it got married on the 12th of January, 1930. The triple threes means it's made of 33% gold. How amazing would it be to return this ring to the family of the soldier? I did a lot of research and I actually uncovered some pretty interesting stuff, but yeah, that's a story for a different video. I'm gonna post a video on my Patreon about it, so check it out if you wanna find out more. Thanks guys, see you next video.
