I tried Painting Floating Island in Space | Daily Challenge

hi i'm carthage and this is faluelawan he's an up-and-coming laughter repairman so if you laugh like he gets it to a nice even he's helping me with art today art that i found so beautiful and so oddly satisfying that i'm doing this daily challenge by wow art just so i can have it on my wall carthage needs art because art tricks people into thinking you're a little bit more smart and cultured than you are this is a very hard one so i'm nervous oh no look at his little haircut but it's growing back and he's getting a lot better every day he's our 16 year old old man never too late to smell some paint first things first taped canvas we're gonna put some paints down we're making a galaxy kind of thing that these beautiful islands are kind of floating in space and sitting on why are you helping so much have you lost your mind follow well get it in fellow well really likes the way paint looks we have to be very careful not to let him taste it that's just not the health plan that you're on right now okay and then some dark in each corner just so we've got a fully formed galaxy why'd you sit down let's take one step back now that the colors are all laid down we're going to do a little bale you know what i mean like a little female [Music] and then we're gonna paint it all together but like very sporadically so that eventually it can be an itty-bitty little galaxy art galaxy's just so exciting get in there please turn into a galaxy soon i ain't got all night [Music] i just kind of want this to be a little bit darker and a little bit spacey so i'm just gonna put a little bit more blue in each corner and then i'm gonna pull it black a nice mars black you ever think about that one oh this is not open you want me to do it oh my gosh i know [Music] this kind of has to have like a cloudiness to it it's gonna be like really dark on the outside and then we're gonna go in with a sponge and kind of give it that galaxy texture may have went a little too ham with the black but we shall work on it oh this is already dry that's not what you want that's not what you want at all yo i feel like i'd be better off using a beauty blender because this sponge is hard as a rock bring a beauty blender in because i feel like it'll get me the results i want the beauty blender is like so perfectly round that it's just not doing it but this is the best sponge we have sometimes all you can do is pray right now kind of looks like a bingo dabber walked all over your painting a what a bingo dauber what's a oh a bingo dauber you've been hanging out way too many old folks homes yeah i should stop you should you must be creeping them out they just love the smell of my youth yeah i'm sure they do i just go in so we can sniff my head that's one way to do volunteer work free head sniffs or maybe the winner of bingo can sniff your head how did you know the prize deduction man you should come to our mystery night okay this is starting to look like it you know it's starting to work out working on it with a kitchen sponge this galaxy almost got away from me but like this is about as good as i could get it and i just feel like we need some like stars can you get twinkie out of the splash zone you give them some sprinkles no now it's looking like the galaxy we hoped for okay now i have to wait for this to dry and then we add the islands in the sky in space in the sky in space in the sky in space space sky yeah i'm gonna be honest with you i thought the galaxy would be very easy but it took me two hours and now the painting is about to get so hard and you're about to find out but first we got to take the paint off tape off first we got to take the tape off because a lot of what we're doing next like goes beyond the galaxy i i just i'm i'm puking i'm crying shoot that's not what you want okay that looks pretty good when i was watching this video i was like this is the most beautiful painting i've ever seen in my life i'm doing it but like when you're actually doing it you realize how hard this is an island beyond the hair an island beyond a galaxy this is supposed to be like a floating piece of land holy crap okay we're good we got this we know what we're doing we're we're not new here no i'm not okay i'm actually not okay like this this has to work you know what i mean that's what i like to hear mate like when i call you mate nope oh i mean it's all right it's all right mate all right mike you all right you're all right mate it's kind of jagged line has to be okay i thought you're trying to do a straight line what are you trying to tilt me not bad at all filling in the bottom of our floating island yeah did i pick a paintbrush that's too big yeah [Music] the bottom part of the island is done i now have heartburn and it's time to do the grass grassy green very very very good whoops don't go in that black now don't want to be doing that to your painting sabotage oh well the grass is supposed to be textured so i'm just going to try to make work this to my advantage they don't call it a daily challenge for no reason we're challenging ourselves the weekly challenge seems like are you making fun of how long this is taking me this next part real scared because you know it could mess up the whole thing i keep saying this next part better watch out for this one but it's i i swear like it's this one there really no room for errors oh okay all right wait you could put an error anywhere there's tons of room for errors okay oh god okay uh okay wait why am i using my right hand i'm left-handed oh oh it's a pretty bright yellow it's pretty bright okay not the best maybe i should use my right hand [Music] oh no oh no the corn paul newman's gonna have my legs broke what do we do gotta figure it out man no but we're really doing our best for society this is what we call a disaster like can you imagine working this hard just for it to get messed up like we can't let this happen wait there was never any orange huh this is called damage control it's getting better though it's fine if you don't look too close at it and now i'm just gonna add some textures onto the grass yes siree bob have you ever seen oh oh i messed this painting up this entire video has been like me trying to like be natural and ambitious and then doing damage control for the next hour and a half but i just really like i want this on my wall so badly and you're not going to stop me terry i will no you know you'll never see it coming you're not stopping me stop yeah even doink fell asleep okay now if you'll excuse me i need to draw a house can i film it yeah sure except i need a ruler get out of my way please i can't see stern paint about to fill in the house can't have everything okay you know what it's gonna be a pink house doing all right yeah this is a struggle and truth be told i did not do this house terry did i was too afraid to screw it up because i've been screwing up all night and i've been doing this for how many hours like four or five and i just can't do anything right the first time this is like a lot of detail like i'm going to die you think that you're like getting ahead but then you're not getting ahead but the reason why i want to do this so badly is because i love secluded places i i just think that there's nothing prettier than a secluded place and i love how it's just like a normal house but it's like in space you know it's like mundane magnificent it's just like getting to a point now where like if we film all of this this video is going to be ours oh okay so the first island like isn't done yet but i want to work on the second island and then finish the details on both and then show you guys how it looks because the second island's kind of like the first island i just want you guys to see the finished product at this point okay so here's the deal we're all a little stressed right now we've been doing this for six hours okay i'm just doing some finishing touches and then no wait don't spoil it and please i worked so hard okay please wait no no but you can zoom in a little bit otherwise it's just gonna be me painting nothing i'm like that pointed tired where i'm just like actually delirious right now i'm just gonna cover this white because wait no i'm not okay this right here no the white what wait the color white you're a color white that's true actually yeah got em the white spot this yes why do you want me to cover that that's a that's a star bro you're trying to ruin my painting okay fine unveil wait did i say the f word maybe i think i said that's a star rule okay sensor yeah i guess just sensing oh i also okay twinkie pooped on two of my paintings and i drank paint so it's been a day yeah yeah this is what happens when we're all like pretty tired ladies and gentlemen every so often you want to paint your version of a getaway i've done my version of heaven before wasn't very good huh i would say that this is like one of the best yet which like makes me sad because we like kind of only filmed like parts of it okay anyways i did this because i want this on my wall isn't it absolutely gorgeous i will link the video tutorial in the description because i want you guys to be able to paint it because that's perth and gur instructions not great i just hope that you guys think it's pretty because i'm looking at it in the monitor right now and it's like not it looks cool like this oh really okay so isn't it so cool how the islands had come off like into the border like that's just so cool like there's so many different ways to paint a galaxy but like it's yeah the galaxy should have been lighter so that the tree can stand out more but it's been six hours okay so this is it i hope that you guys enjoyed it my dog is oh yeah you are i thought you
