i tried furnishing someone else's empty home in sims 4

hail so I am back again doing the I guess this doesn't have an official title the Furnishing somebody else's empty home challenge I don't even know if they can consider that a challenge it's actually kind of like a life hack so am I doing the building part I'm just doing the decorating part which is like kind of fun sometimes I want to do the building part and not the Furnishing part it really depends on my mood but today I'm in a decorating mood here is the house I have chosen it is Gorge by Specter Cody it is so so cute it's got four bedrooms two baths it's got an Upstairs Downstairs I thought this would be a good challenge here she is isn't she cute I love the fence with like the little like Podium things at the end very pretty so if we go inside what's kind of nice about this one is that they've kind of laid it out for me a little bit like I'm probably gonna delete all this but it's nice to know like this is where the living room is supposed to be and this is the dining room this is the kitchen that is a pantry I believe a bathroom I suppose this should be a bedroom or it could be a study and we could do all the bedrooms and here oh I think that's what it was intended to be now that I'm looking at it that's making a whole lot of sense also two bathrooms for this many bedrooms I sense a problematic household I once had to share one bathroom with just one other person and that was too much so this would drive me personally crazy but thankfully it's not real life and it's not my house but let's go ahead and light it up and I am going to warn you right off the bat I'm going to be using this so much custom content is going to be disgusting upstairs lighted up these rooms are pretty good sizes though oh this one's got two beds in it all right so first thing we need to do is pick a flooring and some wallpaper of course you know I've got really good custom ones so I think that's what I'm gonna do I really really need to go download some more wood ones because like I don't have that many depending on the look I'm going for this is my personal thing and like obviously these are a little bit more crazy they're tiles what's this plaster no probably gonna go with Old Faithful here but maybe I'll do like a darker wood than I normally do I usually go for a light wood as you can see from real life that's kind of what I'm into this is as dark as this goes and this is as light as it goes actually you know dark is good because then it matches the stairs that they've chosen right here actually they probably match it better if I lighten it up just a smidge that matches pretty well let's bring the wood in there and there in the pantry let's go upstairs bring it up in the bedrooms I I'm also going to keep the flooring I don't like carpet it gives me allergies I don't like it it's two nice blue upstairs for that bathroom and then downstairs for this one hmm God I love this tile so much so beautiful let's do the wallpaper now so we have a good selection of wallpaper most are a little bit bougie but I'm cool with that like but I do also have something more simple somewhere in here there it is this is like personally one of my favorite wallpapers it's like simple but also pretty elegant I love this green is it too much for the main part of the house or no I could always go with something simple like I could always just do white but is that too too simple it is I'm gonna have to go with the green so for the kitchen I'll do we could definitely pretend that that's like a backsplash it's maybe we could like lower these a bit none of the tiles go all the way up that's the issue all right long story short I'm changing the idea we do have like a cool half shiplap sort of thing which is really oh it lines up like perfectly I almost feel like I should do something different you can kind of see the Gap there of where I've changed it why is this so hard but I also want the kitchen to like have color in it pink kitchens are so cute or like a light blue that's one of my faves what if I just do this no backsplash because this is the Sims yeah that'll work for me in this little Pantry thing I just do white in there I might also just do white in the bathrooms because I'm just feeling like we've got a fun tile like when you do a fun wallpapers that's a lot oh or should I wallpaper match it oh I love it it's perfect in every way makes me want to wallpaper this room too oh my God little rooms with wallpapers just get me dude they're so pretty okay this room it's got a lot of windows so I'm going to go with pretty office space maybe would you like some wallpaper this wallpaper is cool because it does change like the actual wallpaper for each Swatch it's pretty cool look at these clouds are we joking or oh since it's an office I could and I really want to Pink bougie I love it we have a lot of color happening and it's kind of fun okie dokie moving on upstairs let's just bring this wallpaper up here into the hallway and then for the bedrooms I really love this wallpaper as well I think it's so pretty I might do one there and then over here this room is huge I'm trying to do like some different colors but I really only like pink blue and green and that color I love that color which I mean that's kind of like a green I could do subtle in there like more of a neutral and then in here what a toot oh that's cool they've got like two-toned wood I know I've already done pink I'm not upstairs and then in here again I'll just do white wallpaper okay no you know what wait maybe I shouldn't maybe I should do the fun wallpaper in here Who's Gonna Stop Me Oh wait okay so the floor is blue hold on so I need to keep that in mind oh where did we do that one I'm done with wallpaper let's start over here in the dining room because I think it's gonna be the easiest and yeah so I am going to use a lot of custom content I downloaded some new stuff last night very excited to use it I don't remember which ones I downloaded though so it's gonna be a surprise that is a really cool table let's go with that and then for chairs okay these aren't like the most comfortable looking chairs but they match the green really well so I think I'm gonna have to use it and I'm really hoping that there is a rug big enough for this table because it's quite long that is probably the best we're gonna get in terms of Rug sizes they even have a green rug it's the green vintage rug too much I think it is unfortunate oh but that's cool but am I gonna use that in the living room oops okay we need a cute plant for the table oh I love her yes oh beautiful as far as curtains go I do not have good luck with custom curtains I just feel like they never look right for me like I need some custom curtains that just kind of do that you know actually those are pretty good I might just use those everywhere I like this these custom paintings get me every time they are so cute put a plant in this corner I think I might put a lamp in this corner it's just kind of cozy yeah I love that okay let's do the living room so we'll get rid of this goodbye might keep that TV out let's start with the fireplace we do have some custom ones and they're all gorgeous I don't think I've used this one she might be new oh this is my favorite one but no let's go with the new one the TV is already in the perfect spot so that works we can try to go with what they had going on with the bookcases I'm totally cool with that if I have any that will look good holy moly okay I'm not liking how they're clipping with like the parts that like hang off here on the edge on like the little surface here so I could do another plant that's fine with me and I love this item I use it a lot and then maybe I can put like a painting or something right here oh my gosh how cute are these little babies okay time to choose a couch did they have like three love seats so if we did this and then had one there or we could do an L-shaped couch we could also try that okay um I don't think I'm feeling this sectional maybe I will just do two love seats I have more options that way anyways these just look so comfortable I'm trying not to like have the curtains clip but they're sore in table there maybe a little lamp I have a lot of candles as well like a lot of candles girl loves a good candle oh but that lamp is so cute oh I wish I had more swatches I love it but it's like a lot of white and I mean I was going to change the color of the couches to something else but it's like either too much green or like too dark so just how it's gonna be maybe once I add a nice rug holy moly this thing this thing it's got some cool patterns though oh my gosh maybe I can use that somewhere I actually need a little bit of a smaller rug for this section because it's just kind of a weird shape isn't it okay technically this is like the size I need but I need to like have another end table or I could have another plant or something it's just gonna be a lot of plants in here I mean that's pretty cool is that the same plant I used over there it is flowers it's pretty and they have like a chair right there just like a funky chair with a funky pattern just for funsies and I do need a coffee table this glass square one is so cool oh I was gonna change the rug color yeah I think that's good you can put some books on here I feel like shape and stuff changes that's cool why don't we like rotate those and then we'll put something else on here too a candle we need a candle that's pretty good A small candle but it's a candle okay I think that room is also complete okay let's do the kitchen goodbye countertops okay what countertops do I want oh my God these custom ones are so so pretty they've got so many freaking swatches I would love to do a butcher block countertop but it'd be so cute that literally looks like the floor I don't think I've used this one before what that's like a craziest looking Butcher Block countertop I've ever seen what dude what the heck these things are tiled on the back maybe they meant for the bathroom it's too late now I'm already invested okay the matching ones for this are all open shelving which like don't get me wrong that's cute but I definitely do not want to be sitting here filling up all these shelves all day so as beautiful as that is I'm sure we can find another white countertop to fill in the void oh maybe I was supposed to put another one here all of these are very like modern oh it's perfect it's perfect it's like opposite of modern I thought these colors were going to be crazy because of the swatches but they're actually all really pretty okay again I'm not totally sure if that's how this is supposed to work so I just supposed to have this on the ground I honestly don't know I'm just gonna do this I just go with these these walls are too tall they are freaking me out and like why is it so dark so this is like really out of place maybe I just don't have it I'm so sad I really like that one they do have this which I like 100 positive that's why it's supposed to be touching maybe I could just um not loving anything not loving it the walls are just too tall like even these for the fridges are meant to be like that maybe I just lower everything oh they're supposed to be even lower than that this is just gonna have to do I'm changing this fridge because that's not working for me that one fits like a glove but it does make that weird Shadow which is annoying but whatever okay so I think I'm gonna put the stove there and I'm gonna put the sink over here I was gonna put a dishwasher but where the heck are they that was the hardest thing on earth to find put in one of these fancy stuff I guess I should do a vent hood here I'm just gonna go the old school route I'm just doing just calling it a day we do definitely have enough room for a microwave so that can go in there we also definitely have some space for coffee maker the whole espresso machine okay I'm gonna put this fun pink rug in here because I like to have a good time and then maybe over here by the fridge I can add a few like cute plants kitchen decor I have a lot of cute kitchen decor but it's just like it takes up a lot of room wait I also have these shelves I can put some bowls on there maybe some cups double up on those oh my gosh The Cutting Boards those are cute and then some pretty glasses that's cute just need like one more thing we're in the corner there what should I do I have so many choices check out this drying rack I mean how cool is that I'm talking about a drying rack like it's amazing maybe I'll put some more glasses right there actually that looks pretty good a trash can oh my gosh if I don't put a trash can in this house the comments will go crazy perfect spot for a trash can and then I have a corner over here and you know what I think we should do with that oh how cute is that plant it's like a little stand I love that we gotta double that that is so cute I'm gonna fix this problem with the two different molding colors on the top let's just ignore the big gap I'm going to delete these and let's see if I have anything better actually oh that's so pretty I fits so nicely I'll change the wood to a darker one and then let's try to put Pantry looking items on there a couple of jars some charcoal your grill there has got to be more Pantry items in this game olive oil okay that there we go is that lemonade I don't think that goes in the pantry liquor liquor next to the charcoal some spices I could do I could do spices wine I'm running out of ideas here there's actually not as many objects as I thought at least not custom ones glass vial more jars there's more wine bottles here just gonna really pile those on salt and pepper shaker okay you know what that will do just fine put that above there moving on let's actually do the bathroom because I think this is gonna be pretty easy we have some absolutely amazing sinks in the custom content world they're gorgeous oh cool oh look this comes with shower walls I think that's super cool and then you can just put this here let's just scoot this door over and put some toilet paper oh a nice mirror we've got some cool options that one's so pretty I'm gonna have to go with Old Faithful I love this mirror and it never lets me down a picture of a cat actually a bear with some soap and some like lotions and stuff oh my gosh this little plant is cute here is a towel oh I got so many swatches let's do pink do they have a big one a big towel oh they've got one of these things and I guess they have this but I kind of was hoping for the pink maybe since I've got a little bit of room I could put in like a tray table and that's where the towels go put some cleaning products down there cute some other like little random things some extra toothbrushes even though I [Music] so that's good a toilet brush definitely necessary oh we can put extra toilet paper down here that's cute it's funny how I said that's cute because like it's toilet paper but like the idea that I can do it in my game is like cute I'm gonna put a hairbrush down there I know that's not where it goes but look we don't have drawers it is what it is I'm gonna put bath salts in here there is no bath in this bathroom I am aware cute painting hopefully it doesn't get wet from the shower cover up that window and good to go moving on to the office oh wow this desk is fun I think I might put the desk right up on the windows I can't even use a bigger desk because we've got these like crazy long ones that are really cool oh but I love that one I am so predictable that's the problem two plants I don't know how it's gonna go I'm gonna put this chair with the flower in it obviously need a computer I like this little clock item I feel like that's fitting for an office what else would an office have a lamp and I saw a cute one in here you could use this one or this one I like this one maybe some paint brushes maybe they're pink you don't know their life I'm kind of liking this giant rug for this room okay bookshelves I want bookshelves or at least a bookshelf I love this portion of and I never have a room big enough to use it but like it is the star of the freaking show it is so cool oh my I can put stuff anywhere put a lucky cat up there a decorative Bowl because why not let's put this paper bird love a hanging plant love that that's gorgeous and then we just need like one more thing one more random piece of Decor it doesn't even need to make sense a candle that's fine definitely a fire hazard being right there but whatever okay I switched the cat and the candle and I feel like this little small fire hazard now okay gorgeous I also think it would be cool to have like an activity in here like we could do this piano which honestly it's so beautiful I may have to do that just because it's so stunning and then it would be nice to have like a chair or something besides the office chair maybe this guy's he's kind of cool we need something kind of comfortable I'm gonna go with that honestly I kind of wanted to put something in the corner here but I'm just not totally sure it's gonna fit I think I'm just gonna put a painting and call it a day what a beautiful office I'm also gonna put a painting on here because it's looking a little sad upstairs we go okay this bathroom is like kind of laid out for us already but let's switch it up a little I don't like pedestal sinks because there's no room to put anything on them which I don't like but I just and it is the Sims so it's okay let's use this cool mirror and then this one's got a bathtub we do have this cool looking bathtub I think that's neat they even have blue oh my gosh I love it okay just gonna have to get the old-fashioned towel wait a minute what the heck is this where were you earlier this is cute and I think it has room for Decor on it it sure does let's put the toothbrush over here since it won't fit on the pedestal sink there we go some products cute okay put a random painting there and it's looking pretty good I'll just put some curtains bedroom number one it's gonna be a tight squeeze oh this duvet is cute oh my gosh that matches so well live in tables full of lamps gonna have to use kind of a small rug in here because the shape is a little bit weird here's a dresser put a little shell for them to hang stuff on oh my gosh look at this custom vanity I have literally no doubt in my mind that you cannot get to this vanity oh it's not even functional it's fake but I mean I like the idea of a little desk or something pretty sure you can use small tables as desks man but none of them fit maybe unless I do it like this which I mean you cannot get to it okay I hate to do this but I'm just gonna cover up this window I'm sorry it had to be done okay this room is complete let's move on to this one this is a little bit more moody in here oh my gosh I love this that bedding is my favorite I just love the like gingham pattern it's so cute today I've got some lamps let's put down a rug put a dresser over there or is that should I not do it in front of the window I mean I could do it over here it just gives me less room for other things you know what I didn't put in the other room a mirror how in tarnation did I forget that this is like my favorite item okay you know what I'm sorry it is going in front of the window because I need this mirror I need it what that look at this cute chair like a beanbag chair and then a cool lamp I mean that's sick that's really cool I'm gonna put some books on the ground these are actually functional as well KSM paintings there curtains for those some random decor and moving along I'm starting to lose my mind a little bit I've been doing this before so long I don't remember my life outside of This House Furnishing video okay this is a very cool bed that I really want room I'm out of there actually so maybe it's not too bad oh I like that bedding so this is the more neutral room might do this like dark reddish burgundy color since it's neutral we can do anything I'm not sure if that matches okay this rug is a tight squeeze but it's in there dresser over there which is a perfect fit put some curtains up finally some nicer ones than the ones I've been giving me other rooms sorry about that gonna do this mirror again because I absolutely love it and a plant I got a cool painting there and then for this big wall I don't know what I'm gonna do I'm tempted to put a whole fireplace this one's really skinny so like it's kind of working and I'll just give them a TV they deserve that okay moving on last bedroom I'm gonna turn this one into bougie kids room let's go with this I feel like this could work how fun are these I would love to have these still gonna do lamps because I like them I will be going for an actually do I do that or do I do one of these rugs I gotta change the bed though I can't have too many patterns going on I don't even know what to do what if I add like a blanket on the end here with like the pink and then like sort of ties it in together I'm desperate and you know what I might do exactly I would make him a teddy bear cute okay since these rooms are so big I kind of want to give this imaginary child a dollhouse because the dollhouses are huge look at this dollhouse are you freaking kidding me oh my God I also do have this play kitchen which I think is so cute I don't know about y'all I had a play kitchen when I was young and it was my favorite thing in the world I was obsessed and then I grew up and I didn't know how to cook a thing still don't really did I learn nothing from my mini Kitchen yes okay we'll add an Old Faithful in here because I feel like it's a little bit less serious than the other one we definitely need a cute chair in here this is all faithful I love this chair okay I am finished holy shamoli that's a lot of custom content it it is complete I hope you guys enjoyed this decorating process a lot of the rooms look the same look at the beds they're all like on the same Bowl it's probably one of my favorite but uh yeah we really love
