all right so this is what the traditional method looks like when you fire a shot I hate this it's hard to do I'm so conditioned to doing it right you see how far it moved me now the guns up here I can't seem a target I got a cycle the action which I kind of did automatically because it's hard not to at this point and then I got to see did I hit it can I get another shot on target with push-pull it looks a little something like this see the difference now 12-gauge buckshot hasn't been a recoil to it you can't shoot it fast or can you so that by the end of this morning is what you guys should be able to do shoot that thing without it beating the tar out of you all right so let's go back to our guns acquire them and then come back and we'll set up today's video is brought to you by the generosity of new bold targets new bold targets are self sealing reactive polymer targets that act like steel targets for training and practice but are safer than steel they allow bullets to pass completely through the target without ricochet or lead splatter check out their links in the description and thank them for bringing us today's video first half here I am running my van Comp 870 love this gun custom mount red dot sight it's the first one ever to be mounted dot only so I'm pretty excited to run this gun today pretty fun when you get to train with people who are YouTube famous I mean you know I'm kind of starstruck but my friend Ian McCallum from forgotten weapons so look at I was thinking dude you've got the big youtube channel oh please you're I miss you dear sales as big as mine yeah they're not the same shooting though an auto eight that's pretty cool so one of the cool parts of the van comp barrel you see it's got this comp barrel is that this gun is going to shoot redonkulous Lee flat especially if you push pull it like Matt teaches you're not see a whole lot of muzzle rise out of even 12-gauge buckshot which is one of the reasons I really dig this shotgun as a defensive tool all right guys we're gonna do this dry so close your actions with no ammunition when you're swinging those guns off your shoulder be very cognizant of where your muzzle is if you're using that kind of sling okay get a good athletic stance feet about shoulder width apart chin forward or your knees knees slightly bent bring the weapon up bring the weapon up to your shoulder set up a push with your support hand all these damn lefties making me change up my terminology mm-hmm set up the push pull and press trigger cycle reaction for you autoloader guys that means you got to take your hand off the forend all right let's do it again bring a weapon up to your shoulder set up your tension press trigger all right guys load five load five we're about to go hot go ahead shoulder your weapon aim in at the target set up your tensioner yes I cycle the action if you haven't already set up your attention fire okay shoulder your weapon set up your tension fire shoulder your weapon if you don't have a target shoot somebody else's set up your attention that's gonna be fun all day okay shoulder your weapon set up your tension fire shoulder your weapon set up your tension has a little premature bar is that five that's what okay actions up and moving parts to the rear all right guys once your weapon is unloaded and locked open muzzles averted step back from the line on my commander up you will mount the weapon aim at your target set up your attention and fire one round and then recover understood sir all right ready up ready up ready up officially love this shotgun chin for to your knees ready up god that dot is circle is so fast ready up actions open moving parts to the rare muscles averted once you have done this step off the line so the other part of the shot gets set up for me as a lefty completely set up for me as a lefty so swings over on the left hand side can't really move the the shot show stuff but also the action and the safety is set up for me as a lefty so you know it takes a little bit more work to get set up but again the guys at van just made this shotgun right for me and it's delightful [Music] [Music] [Music]
