I Tested 3D-Printed Houses

what if I told you this was a 3D printed house let me explain 3D printed houses have been all over YouTube the last couple of years they're said to be cheaper more durable and apparently you can print l in under 24 hours I however think they're way too good to be true so I booked two nights and the only 3D printed Airbnb I could find so I can conduct my investigation I'll be testing this house in three ways style popularity and functionality and already this house is exceeding my expectations as a living room kitchen an entire upstairs with two bedrooms but I still can't get over this is actually one of the craziest houses I think I've ever seen like what other house has these walls like it literally looks like soft serve ice cream okay never in my life did I think I would ever be staying in a 3D printed house mostly because I didn't know that they existed until recently like this house wasn't built it was printed what the does that even mean apparently three printed houses get printed vertically in layers out of concrete there are 3D prined communities getting built today the average house is $4,000 can print in less than a day if that's true that means these houses could actually help people but I'm still skeptical now prior to what I thought like 5 minutes ago this entire house is not 3D printed I mean there's like wood cabinets and stuff but overall I'd say like if you're young this house is modern I definitely would live here so I'd say for the style test it gets a pass for me it's pretty well decorated but next I wanted to test popularity if I've learned anything from barely passing my introduction to marketing class in college it's that there's no way to tell something's going to be a genuine product unless there's actual interest in it and what better way to determine if someone's interested in it than throwing a party the only problem is the Only Rule about this place is that you cannot throw parties but like the devious little rule breaker I am I'm going to throw the biggest rager of all time that's right this party is going to make Project X look like a small G together but to throw this party I'm going to need to Market it invite people to the 3D printed party have food prepared decorate the place all by 7:00 p.m. tomorrow so once I got all the Flyers prepared I headed to downtown Austin to invite the entire city to come the only problem is guys I am so uncomfortable asking people like I know it may not look like it or maybe it does but I am such an introvert that I'm just like really out of my comfort zone but we still haven't found anyone yet so with asking a total of zero people to come to my party okay okay I'm back at the 3D printed house and I am dead so I'm going to go to sleep I'm going to wake up early tomorrow and I have an idea of a place to go that I think I might be able to actually get like the right Target demographic so I headed upstairs brushed my teeth and went to bed as I slept I imagine what the world actually looked like if everybody did live in 3D printed houses I dreamed of a dystopian Society maybe with flying cars three-headed dogs and robots that automate our lives but then I woke up riseing grind the party is in 10 hours and so far zero people are coming which means I have a lot of work to do so I headed to Zilker Park one of the most famous parks in downtown Austin and I'm going to go ask people I'm throwing this party at a 3D printed house I was wondering if you'd be interested in coming I'm just like trying to invite strangers to like a 3D printed house to see if like there's interest in 3D printing no there's interest in 3D printing but I I don't think I'd go to the party okay no problem no problem have a good one I'm doing this for a few reasons primarily because I'm genuinely curious are 3D printed house is the future throughout the last few months I've tested some of the most interesting 3D printed invention such as shoes a skateboard a Deadpool figurine but 3D printed houses by far could change the world the most my only question is how close are we to actually living that reality so after spending literal hours walking around riding a few people and getting completely and utterly rejected I ran into this guy I'm throwing a party at a 3D printed house I was wondering if you'd be interested in coming uh potentially really yeah oh my gosh it's at 7:00 p.m. tonight if if you want to show if you're free tonight would work but oh okay yeah okay well that was almost a yes but I wasn't stopping until I got a definite answer the last thing I would want to do is throw a party and nobody show up okay it seems like there's interest in 3D printed houses just not in my party is what I'm learning but right when I was about to give up I was wondering if I could ask you guys a question for a video I was wondering if you guys would be interested in coming is it safe yeah it's safe it is collapse these boys actually seem super interested so for the first time I was able to hand out some flyers no pressure at all um but I'd love to have you guys for sure yeah thank you guys so much I hope to see you later bye just got my first yes I think yeah sure why not sure wait really yeah sure thank you guys so much I appreciate it have a good one once you get a yes it's like a huge hot you know so after getting as many people as possible to RSVP to this party I only have 5 hours until it starts which means I still have to go to the store buy decoration ations cook the five-star meal to test the 3D printed House's functionality all while praying these people show up so I walked 5 miles across down to Target now it's time to get the party Essentials here is a list of everything I need red Solo cups plates chocolate milk that that one is for me and lastly mac and cheese so with less than 2 hours before the party I headed back to test the House's functionality all righty so this is a little segment that I like to call Brandon's cooking show now this segment is actually inspired by my favorite show of all time Hills kitchen if you're familiar with it basically how it works is world-renowned chefs are given 60 minutes to cook a dish so good that it'll make Gordon Ramsay's taste buds but I don't have 16 minutes so I'm going to give myself 10 minutes to cook up to Chef up the greatest mac and cheese known to man hopefully luckily this house came with pots pans water and a stove okay so while the water is boiling I'm going to go on mac and cheese Tik Tok and see how to make like a Gourmet level mac and cheese that is the goal right there okay I'm not sure how much cheese to add I'm just going to Ballpark it I added the entire thing and then well 10 minutes later I don't know how I messed up mac and cheese this badly I mean it's Gourmet okay I'm going to let it cool and then we'll do a taste test okay here we go taste test just a lot of cheese bro this is the craziest cheese pole I've ever seen in my life it tasted like so I ordered some nice Texas barbecue the party starts in 20 minutes I have to get changed I have to get ready and I have to set up decorations but I have one final thing that I think is going to blow all of the guest mon that is 3D printed food that's right I've been wanting to try this for the last like month but I've been saving it for this moment right now to share with all my new friends coming in about 17 minutes so I have to get this place ready so I got changed set up all the decorations but after spending the last 2 days testing out the house putting myself in uncomfortable situations and eating probably the worst 3D printed food I could have even imagined nobody showed up as devastated as I was I had no words so I ate the Texas barbecue by myself scrolled on Instagram reals to make myself feel better went to bed and prepared to leave the next morning I came to this house because I was curious if 3D paring technology was the future of housing I made this video because I hear Austin is a great City filled with some amazing people and 3D printed has to seem pretty promising and although nobody came to my party I wouldn't say this trip was a failure I met some pretty amazing people and experiened would possibly be the future I guess only time will [Music] tell
