Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
You got the test order wrong, the "make it extra saucy" goes under delivery notes, and when the driver sees that he will definitely make sure to put some extra sauce on there.
Dude screw the BS. I'm about to make my own damn restaurant out my house asap. Imagine actually getting an operation going and make a killing in your own home.
Queen Jackie is 100%, I would absolutely watch a cooking show featuring her.
For those actually considering this - this was an experiment, not sustainable. I'm going to get downvoted to oblivion, but I just have to play Devil's Advocate:
1/you are basically running a restaurant out of your home. In most states, this is illegal. Even if it is legal where you live, you have no health department inspection, no business license, no liability insurance, and your homeowner's insurance will not cover you for a work-related accident, such as if your house burns to the ground.
2/Uber Eats obviously allowed this "restaurant" to sign up without verification. That won't last long.
3/the IRS will catch up with you.
4/I'm pretty certain Publix, Digiorno, and Bagel Bites will not be happy about you using their products and claiming them as your own. I guess you don't have to worry about that homeowner's insurance, since you'll be losing your house in the lawsuits.
I'm sure there are workarounds to all of these things, but please be careful. On the other hand, if a bunch of you wind up in jail, I guess that means more business for me, so....carry on, I guess?
I picked up Chinese food from a house once. It was pretty confusing and they opened up their garage door and handed me the food. Needless to say I had a shit ton of questions.
Haven't watched the video yet but I wouldn't be surprised someone could open a home restaurant selling frozen pizzas and make some money. People buy pizzas from 7Eleven through Postmates and I've delivered a half dozen of them over the last 4 months and that's a frozen pizza. I imagine I'd deliver a lot of them if I worked an area close to one.
Cmon we need more info. What were your customer reviews like? Did you make any money??
So basically there are LOWER qualifications to become a restaurant on UberEATS than there are to become a driver. π
This is the kind of rehashed stuff that'll hit the front page, enjoy the million views!
