[Music] thank you hey everybody so today I'm gonna ride the most expensive government project that's ever been done in Honolulu Hawaii it's the route also known as the skyline so depending on what sources you're looking at it's between 9.9 billion to 12 billion dollars up until this point they got nine stations and they got a little bit more to go well actually I don't know if it's a little bit more but they still got some time to go before they reach town but today we're gonna go and check this out I'm gonna go and make a review for all of you guys and I'm going to try to cover it as much as I can I hope you guys enjoy okay so the parking is free and it's right next to Aloha Stadium which is back here so I know it's really really easy to go and hate on the rail I mean since I remember there's been a lot of opponents to this right here but um you know I want to try to go and approach this with a very unbiased perspective I mean I really have no expectations of this I mean okay wait I guess the only expectations I have of this is kind of like riding the pro-ridge monorail so I'm kind of like thinking this is what it's going to be like like riding the Pearlridge monorail so we'll see but I want to go and use the bathroom first because all right okay soda is done let's go check out the bathroom I just had a bunch of soda hey is there a bathroom I can use porta potties oh porta potties okay you guys don't have like a a regular one no okay thank you okay well so on the news they said that if you have to go and use a bathroom you can go and ask like one of the workers at the station and they'll let you use this employee bathroom but when I went and I asked they said that I can go and use the porta potties right here and when I ask for like just a regular bathroom they said that uh they don't have one so here you guys are here's the bathrooms okay porta potties I'm not I'm not VIP so I can't you know use a nice bathroom but uh oh look at my hair okay let's let's go into the rail oh hey how's it going good seeing you yeah I know are you gonna ride it you know I I tried um asking for the bathroom oh you gotta go in the bushes yeah I know right yeah so they told me to go to the porta potty yeah temporary yeah I'm gonna bring a gatorade bottle I know right people look look how many people want to go and ride the rail today I really have to use the bathroom and like I'm not I'm not joking about that you know I was actually here um two hours before they opened the parking lot and there was only like maybe four people in line and now I'm literally walking around the block maybe I should have used the porta potty when I had a chance see so I wasn't joking about how long this line is [Music] you know to be honest with you guys I didn't think that many people were gonna show up I'm I'm still walking hey thank you so if you guys would like to go and support my channel um check out my buy me a coffee page I'm going to leave the information in the description box down below so I'll be standing in the hot sun for all of you guys so you don't have to go and do it yourself alright so we're pretty much at the end of the line right here so that's the line hey Google I know right okay so with the bathroom situation there are nicer porta potties right there so maybe you guys will have better luck than me and it's like not on like the grand opening day so still try asking them to use the bathroom if you can because I think it's going to be pretty busy for like the next week or so so they're probably gonna have these porta potties oh 20 years yeah 20 years I it might be even longer than that actually you know I've I've seen articles online that said this was like 55 years in the making so I don't know we just know that this is taking a really long time to fully complete this entire rail system thank you okay so you need a hollow hollow card um to ride the rail so I'm gonna go and leave all of the information in the description box down below regarding the fares and whatnot because it's actually the same price as the bus but uh I'll leave all the information in the description box for all of you okay so there's three ways of getting up you can walk up the stairs you can go up the escalator or there's elevators as well so uh it's very accessible especially if uh you know for ADA compliance and all that kind of stuff with the elevator of course so it takes roughly 22 minutes to get to Kapolei from the Aloha Stadium so round trip I would say I take like an hour we are in the rail yeah oh look look at this seat right here wow [Music] [Music] [Music] this is kind of like a roller coaster ride okay so the ride is very bumpy and I highly yeah so I highly recommend um you either sit down or hold on to something like this this right here or or this railing right here because it's pretty bumpy all right so I'm on the other end of the skyline rail system now and we are in East Kapolei and basically it took like 22 minutes to get all the way down here the ride in my opinion was pretty bumpy and everybody else around me thought the ride was pretty bumpy I did talk to One gentleman and he actually just flew in from San San Francisco and he was on the BART and he said that the ride was much smoother on the BART and it's actually bigger and nicer but he said you know this isn't that bad and honestly um I don't think it's that bad at all it kind of reminds me of a very upgraded uh the bus system with like the guy in the background telling you like what stop you're stopping at and whatnot so they do have a public Wi-Fi I didn't try logging in but me personally I don't feel safe using public Wi-Fi so that's totally up to your own discretion and your risk tolerant but um the seats are made out of cloth so there is like a cloth covering on top of it um you know I don't know what their procedures are going to be like in terms of cleaning the seats and whatnot but from my experience like especially with like going to like New York and using the subway system it's much easier to clean the seats if they were um like a solid material like plastic or something so this is the very end of the rail if you go down like another mile that's where kamakana Ali is so hopefully they will go and extend this out all the way to the shopping center one day okay so the train I mean the rail is here so I'm gonna hop back on [Music] thank you [Music] is there a bathroom I could use um [Music] point you guys out to report oh I kind of use the one over here yeah okay thank you thank you okay so I'm not sure what the bus situation is going to be like but there's a bunch of bus stops over here so I think that'd be really really helpful to go and bring in people from East Honolulu to this area so they can use the rail but uh let me get back to the car and I'll tell you guys my thoughts okay everybody so there you have it my first time on the rail would I go and use the rail again yes I would and it's actually not that bad I mean if you sit in the very very front then it is kind of like almost like a roller coaster in some ways the ride can be bumpy um it's really clean and I think you know as a days and weeks and months go on it's probably not going to be as busy as what you saw today yeah so I would go and use it again but they would have to make it easier for the people that live in town and in Manoa and you know like everybody out on the east side to really go and utilize this rail so I really hope they go and extend this out a little bit further out to you know kamakana Ali to the shopping center and I really hope you know they would get this to uh Manoa I don't know if they have plans for that or what but I just hope that it just at least gets to the airport because I think that would make it a little bit better for everybody as much as we all want to go and hate on this thing it's already built you know and it's gonna continue to go and expand and I really think that um you know if you can go and utilize it you you should because it's actually pretty quick from um the stadium all the way out to Kapolei it was actually a really quick ride so it was not that bad I kind of enjoyed it aside from like the bumpiness and everything all right everybody thank you so much for watching make sure you guys like subscribe and hit that notification Bell for more videos just like this follow me on Instagram and if you want to go and support this channel make sure you guys check out my buy me a coffee I'm gonna go and leave all the information in the description box down below I'm also going to leave the information for um the rail in the description box down below as well so um I hope you guys go and check it out oh yeah one thing is this for tourists um right now no it's not not until they get further out into the east side sorry I I totally forgot to add that in but um yeah I'll see you guys next time bye oh yeah one more thing I hope you guys have better luck than me when you guys use the rail and if you guys have to use the bathroom so I think the whole bathroom situation um they just wanted people to go and use the porta potties which you know I understand but I really wanted to go into the bathrooms to go and show you guys what the bathrooms look like I know like it's like what Charles you want to review the bathroom you know but what other person on like Instagram or YouTube is gonna go and do that I'm sure okay probably somebody's gonna do that but I wanted to be the first to do that anyways um yeah I have to go and use the bathroom I've been holding it in for like the last three hours so yeah I gotta pee I'll see you guys next time
