I Removed Mario from Mario Odyssey

one of my absolute favorite things in video games is unlockable characters you'd know this if you watch my Odyssey Bowser mode video well you might not know is Mario Odyssey already has a second playable character Cappy he's just locked behind two-player mode which kind of sucks so you know what I had my friend amethyst fix that Mario Odyssey is now fully playable in single player mode as Cappy enjoy the video all right well let's get started so today what this challenge essentially is is imagine if in this cut scene at the beginning of the game Mario just actually died all right and now Mario is dead so so Mario's gone and uh we're just cppy now so Cappy still has a motive here we've thought about how the story Works without Mario not only did Bowser steal Peach he stole Tiara or whatever name is so uh Mario is dead this is what we're uh this is what we're doing today Mario list Mario Odyssey so we can still use captures and stuff which is going to be pretty useful cuz I don't think the game would be possible without captures but um the game is completely normal besides Mario just being gone up we go oh my gosh this is annoying cuz I'm like if I run into an NPC I just get bumped back and it's obnoxious time for our first boss fight I don't know what this is really going to be like wait come on land on him do I have the ground pound there we go this is so dumb all right this is actually kind of hard to jump on him cuz I have to ground pound okay all right that's uh that's neat wait Mario's back oh no it was just a ghost I guess can you take damage I don't know maybe not in two-player mode you can't normally take damage as cppy so I'm guessing we're just Invincible oh my gosh capp's talking to Mario's ghost I didn't know they were were uh they were friends before he died but uh I guess they were he has trauma let him rest I mean I guess so yeah Mario being visible it's a feature to you know really sell the new story all right let's do Dino skip like normal up we go wow what an easy trick and then we get her easy I guess the only question now is if Cappy mode will be even easier than Bowser mode easy fight what happened Happ s with klepto though you know I have no idea we'll have to find out do I just lose I don't know don't put any music over that one just to really sell how delusional Cappy is right now with the little woohoo and yah Cappy it's been 5 years I didn't expect this challenge to be about Cappy's trauma but here we are oh poor Cappy this is not supposed to be what this challenge was cppy that's not Mario he's not real he's gone you need to move on all right um can I bounce on this probably not yeah not really oh gosh this is so weird all right so if I I think if I go up here I can just sort of float right yeah why is this Moon here what happened the moon just got shifted over that wasn't supposed to happen but that's uh that's fine things are a little off without Mario now let's just fly over here an easy Moon so we can't go into 2D without Mar iio so we need to figure out how to get up there and up to the inverted pyramid I might be able to like jump up to this part cuz you can do a few jumps as Cappy oh okay that was a lot all right so now I think my height is like right here so can I jump high enough to like land on a Ledge on this maybe come on okay no wait wait wait I I was afraid I was going to like fall there but I can't really fall as Cappy can I there we go all right that wasn't that bad so now we got to get up there oh we're basically already high enough so let's just get on this and I think I can probably just fly over now yeah try to get the floating island am I high enough for that oh I I didn't mean to go into the fight no no I'm going to clear the fight and the pyramid's going to raise and I don't know if I'm even going to be able to get up there anymore all right let's just let's just do the Harriet fight cuz I I literally can't die so I can't get out to go over there all right come back here Harriet can I just yeah I don't even have to move there we go this is surpr Mario's ghost oh my God and he's gone exor of needed maybe Cappy isn't seeing visions and it is his actual ghost who can say for sure right wait what the Hat changed wait do I get to be a sombrero now oh my God he's coping with the trauma he bought a new hat we got a new outfit let's go the captain's hat change happens in the base game so I thought that was you know just the game being normal this was put in intentionally and I I didn't ask for this either this was just put in I don't fall all right well I guess I can just fly over can we even call this a challenge like I don't is it fair you call this an adventure yeah that might be a bit better it's a heartbreaking tale of loss yeah it's the easiest challenge I've ever done but at what cost Mario is dead uh this should be really easy right yeah cuz I I just can't take [Laughter] damage wait can you chase me out here all right what about the other attacks yeah we're just uh okay how far can the fist go oh it gets blocked okay okay let's just finish the fight then easy this is illegal ah maybe a little bit this is so dumb all right we need four more moons can I talk to people no not really can I talk to jaxi cppy has to channel Mario's ghost to talk to NPCs I just don't even know what to say I'm just going to get four more moons off we go to the fing Island you know I just had a realization am I able to do morning Metro I just have to know all right can we go through this let's find out yes okay it just puts me here okay that makes it even easier all right here real quick I want to see if I can do jump rope I am so good at this for some reason I thought this wasn't going to work but it just does MHM Yep this is kind of boring to be honest all right we got it all right uh and now let's leave cuz um uh-oh is it not here did I oh wait no it's it's on the ground it's on the ground I thought it was on the wall and I thought I had soft locked the run and I was really scared all right uh let's let's go back to playing the game normally oh my gosh new hat new hat let's go now we can go swimming all right let's get this I wonder can you do the like clip here as Cappy uh probably I guess I'm just not good enough wait I was kind of going in the wall you can see it kind of working maybe once I'm out a little like ground pound I did it I'm free that really didn't accomplish much but I feel cool uh yeah oh all right uh let's uh back to the game back to the game wait is this one going to be hard cuz I can't bounce off of this so I have to like jump up and then time a ground pound or something wait wait wait I'm higher for some reason is it cuz I bounced off of them is that how that works oh that's interesting so if I bounce off something it saves my height so I can just fly like this now so now if I just time the ground pound right easy all right well this is not nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be maybe hard's the wrong word because it's not like I can die but you know we can go fishing nothing wrong with some fishing but at the end of the day will fishing really solve your trauma maybe but seeing as we still saw Mario there maybe not in this instance hey new hat all right can we talk to the shop people yeah we just got a summon Mario again summon his ghost wait I could buy a hat I don't like the hat for wooded that much so we're going to be the mechanic at for a moment oh now I don't have enough coins for the moon that's fine yeah we look good oh I think I broke the camera oops uh warp this is so I can't even get this Moon because I'm Cappy I can't get it this is so unfair I should have saw that coming all right at least I can still break a rock I think yeah there we go oh hey this Moon's a bit easier isn't it [Applause] yippee this Moon I can get this real quick it's so weird just being able to fly everywhere just changes how you travel around a kingdom a lot like I would never travel around this back end of the Kingdom to get to the first story moon but here we are oh it's just already dead Eerie oh we don't even I mean I guess we don't need it right like it feels weird to just not be able to get it but we don't need it all right let me up I didn't cabie do this in the OR story you know good question come on I'm trying to ground pound there we go I could just bully spew like this can't I this is so dumb oh what what I'm stuck okay now we're good wait what happens it just stays with me forever can I get more than three oh my God are there more over here there's more we got to give Cappy something to enjoy right Mario is gone even more flowers there's so many this is awesome no I I didn't mean to oh my God that sucks whatever we're going to have to get rid of them anyways to capture the tank this next fight's just going to be normal huh all right down we go wait am I just going to be flying yeah whoa what the wall disappears that's so strange what what all right uh I'm getting distracted let's just kill this guy the most normal boss fight in one of these challenges I've ever done cuz you are just a capture the whole time wait can I take damage wait Cappy can be killed he's vulnerable but he's a ghost no Mario's the ghost sorry I know the lore is confusing this is the afterlife no no no no it's not one of those stories either way Cappy can be killed wait what happened I guess this makes sense oh wait I I I didn't get off right there no come on oh no wait oh okay I got what well now we're really in prison um can I even kill this guy all right whatever ignore everything that just happened all right uh to Cloud I don't know how this is going to work so we'll see ooh new hat new hat I was wondering oh we just went straight into the fight okay let's see what happens does this just work uh wait I I can just fly into come back here this isn't what I expected all right Bowser I'm just going to kill you I'm sorry please die yeah Mario was useless after all as it turns out that's not very nice to say about a dead guy though klepto still there okay there's a chance I'm safe because technically I'm not on the ground technically speaking I'm not on the ground uh-oh wait um just I guys I don't know how to explain this one I'm going to be real dream sequence no that's that's that's cheap I don't I I don't even know what to say and I can't even talk to him wait what if I do this no all right then leave behind your drama cat oh it's a metaphor I get it I see it that makes sense so Cappy's dead no I I don't think that's the author's intent hey Captain Toad can I talk to you no but I can beat you up okay well thanks for the money wait what happens oh my God that's awesome that's so cool I can like kind of control it too by pressing left or right yo all right I need one more Moon uh let's just get an easy one sorry just flying by cppy again there it was a bit weird it just sort of it brought me back back to reality for a moment but I'm okay now all right we are back to Metro we get to be the construction cap yippe I can probably just like lie there basically yeah might as well get this moon on the way too wait no that's too far Cappy can I uh maybe not I don't know it's weird all right let's just go the normal way in we go this part seems easy enough now how do I get up there oh my God can I even get up there yeah there we go I mean this boss should be easy enough cuz we just captur the tank oh my God I'm missing all right there we go I mean if I uncapture I can't die so why not you know I can just go up here can I get out uh maybe if I like do the jumps right I still don't entirely know how that works oh well let's just finish the fight no I didn't mean to kill what I killed something that you can capture that was so weird all right easy fight uh what what what he's going crazy all right this is one down all right Mario thank you for helping us from Beyond the Grave it's really appreciated here whoa whoa Cappy look at him go all right get me out of here down we go it's so awkward falling as Cappy cuz I have to ground pound like three times [Music] oh cool it put me on the wrong side of the wall when it loaded me in now we get to put on a festival for Cappy I guess ladies and gentle this is without the music the band misses Mario too much they're struggling to sing they couldn't even bother to put it at the end oh wow what a great Festival yeah now we're experienc in group hysteria nobody can accept that Mario is gone all right um four more moons uh haha we're doing a fun Mario challenge he woohoo oh sorry my bad we're doing a fun Cy challenge all right uh bench friends dude I just made somebody's day worse and I feel horrible hey new hat I mean I should have known it was coming but still all right guys I'm about to do mariis snow dram and now I I need to bounce on the top of this so I get Max height there we go all right which way is it uh guys I'm lost oh there it is man I'm so good at this game I knew I wasn't going to fall I just didn't realize it was that easy to clip out of bounds so now we go down this way and fly over here all right where's the sharan guy over here oh my God this guy can see the ghost of Mario 2 like he looked up and everything all right race time another completely normal part of the Run mhm yep there we go 5306 not a bad time four more moons let's go fishing let's do it again Cappy loves fishing he deserves a hobby wait this is Trace walking right will this work oh my gosh we're too high is this going to oh no okay oh no oh no I'm not low enough to hit it here I have an idea there's a debug button I can use the debug button to clip out of bounds I should be able to yeah there we go all right I use the debug button to clip out of bounds oh uh never mind I guess never mind um ignore everything that just happened we can't do Trace walking here wait wait wait before I grab the story Moon can I do the the clip the speedr runners do yeah seems to be a lot easier with Cappy huh wait am I stuck now gosh dang it okay okay whatever I have the debug button but I'm not supposed to use that okay I'm not allowed to just use it to cheat the traits walking was a rare exception I just had to know now we are done with snow that was um a kingdom for sure so now we have Seaside new hat new hat and there it is our new hat how high am I now like could I if I wanted to just go straight up to him we still need a lot more height uh I want to see if I can get it though so give me a little bit and then I think toad is a bit higher than this okay is there like anything I can jump on like up here oh okay so let me land on like a higher up one maybe here come on I'm like so close a cppy come on you're like right there what about here no I don't think we're high enough yet though that's the problem wait if I bounce off those I might be able to we're so close shoot some cuz remember when I bounce off something it gives me hype oh they're I'm not getting there fast enough come on shoot some close I saw you doing it earlier here we we wait the cycle I know this is way more hassle than it's worth but I'm determined okay come on you little okay come on he baited me the little dude this guy sucks I keep missing them I hate this guy dude I give up we're done we're not doing it I'm just going in I'm killing that man time for Revenge can can I just ground pound him that's kind of what I'm hoping no I have to capture the gushed okay whatever come here no I forgot I'm vulnerable in this state dude I keep just barely missing what is this here wait what if I come on let me let me out let me out guys I'm stuck oh there we go there we go I think I can do the rest of the fight without the gushan all right come on I got got him this is so silly we get to do it all with a beautiful flower too easy man sometimes it seems like you can just still hear Mario what happens if the dog takes cppy there's only one way we can find out aw I can't that's so sad it's trying so hard wait will it not even dig because it's chasing that's hecked up I can't even get the dog Moon it just chases me and that's it that's so sad uh here I'll do volleyball we need two more moons that's two moons should be easy enough wait can I just like um you know cheater what do you mean cheater I don't see how I'm cheating this is perfectly reasonable I think oh what what okay maybe this will work a bit better if I'm higher yeah this feels better I still got to pay attention though some of these are scary it feels like I'm going to miss it and then I just I'm getting a different Moon deserved I don't think it was deserved all right lunch time this one's going to be really easy isn't it I don't think I can exactly take damage from lava and there it is new hat all right spew again still an annoying fight I can just clean up whatever spewart puts down you can try spewart but it's not going to do much it's just there's nothing now I'm trying to I'm trying to freaking ground pound there we go all right let's get o that felt satisfying um can I just like yeah oh but then I can't get up so close yet so far wait free moon this might take a sec we're going and going almost there cool and then we fly back but this time we actually do the story is there any challenges at all with playing as cppy going Down's kind of annoying I have to ground pound a lot and sometimes I bounce off of objects I guess the biggest inconvenience is that Mario's dead you know I don't know what I expected that to do like oh yes it's going to fling me forward this kingdom is such a joke like this I I don't even I could have just flown around this building I thought about it but it's not like going through the buildings any harder oh I can't use the door I guess we are going to have to go back out the front and then just uh fly around what do you know and then wow what a challenge uh that was weird Okay up we go do I even need to do this yeah I can't just wait yes I can okay uh I guess the answer was no I don't need to do this wow we made it it's always weird we're just doing a normal fight in a very not normal challenge but I mean hey uh three moons or three moons why does the fireball have a mustache um denial ruined is next I was wondering for a second how ruined would work but I think it's just going to work like normally oh my God we're a skull now wait does that mean Cappy's dead no Cappy's fine wait do I I don't even have to worry about getting hit do I let's get a third person view of all this oh those wings are huge all right uh now let's fly back in for the hit shall we uh it broke it broke it broke what what is this attack no all right well I guess we're waiting now so um yeah all right let's get up and there we go wow the the ghost of Mario's back all right well yeah this is uh looking like a pretty easy fight huh yeah sorry I'm just bored between these little phases and there we go what happens if I get like crushed oh huh nothing there we go definitely one of the easiest ruined Dragon fights I've ever done this is actually taking a bit longer than I was expecting though I guess I have been getting distracted huh hippy new hat love that I can just fly here myself but this is slow and boring oh well oh no I missed I said that like I'm in trouble from missing but I'm literally being put in like no risk whatsoever but the time was you're right you're right wait can I like do something fun with these no you got in the way here let me try this again that's so cool all right uh back to play the game and we are almost up I'm actually kind of excited for this fight I think it's going to be interesting but also a little Annoying given all the fights so far had been a little Annoying for the most part wait can I do the I wonder wait wait it works oh my God and we're just still up here this is such a joke I cannot believe this oh no I missed there we go come on get it get it that was way easier than I thought it was going to be but yeah it's one of those things where in retrospect it yeah it makes sense all right we made it to Moon Kingdom Mario's actually dead his body's decomposed what Cav's been carrying around a skeleton this whole time he's delusional all right then um okay all right well um that was a pretty good Moon cave skip if I do say so I don't know how to feel about this man uhoh Peach can't tell Mario's dead oh no I just can't believe this Mario's actually Dead all right it's time for this fight again um no it's working Cappy don't worry you're good can I just punch Bowser again already yeah I can combo him yeah how's it feel how's it feel Bowser all right the fight's done speedr Runners take notes and here we go the ends at least everyone gets to live uh that isn't Mario uh there's that I just can't believe this man well Cappy's still delusional talking to well I guess he could be talking to Peach at this point or Bowser but I don't know he's the one in control it's eh but like that we are done 2105 Mario Odyssey but Mario died in the intro or cppy only or Mario list Mario Odyssey whatever you want to call it just subscribe Mario's dead he's he's just a skeleton I hope Cappy gets the help he needs bye Mario
