I REBUILT A WRECKED 2016 Volkswagen Golf R With APR Mods From Copart! Here Is How Much It Cost...

you guys a little bit about the merch i got some new merch and i don't know if you guys can notice but that's the preface headlights here and here the updated one on my website has the facelift headlights this is actually really nice quality it fits really nice i have a really long long lengthy body but it fits nice and i got this other one right over here which is pretty darn sick as well this is the legendary car that built my channel so i decided to go ahead and recreate it take it up from the dead and give you guys a nice merchandise with that but in this episode we are going to be showing you guys the golf r price reel yes sadly the golf r videos are coming to an end but we will definitely have some exciting builds in the future let me tell you guys a little bit about this golf ball for those of you guys that are new to this channel in general or for those of you guys that have not seen the reboot series on the golf cart this golf cart came with a quarter panel that was chopped like this with the suspension damaged and here's a picture boom it's pretty bad and we kind of took a risk but not really because we went and looked at the car and everything checked out when we took a look at their car we did notice that the car has apr stage two tuned basically with all receipts and everything the car is built the car has about 370 wheel horsepower if i'm not mistaken roughly around there i think that's what apr rates are at but it's quick it is definitely quick it is super light and moves very fast let me tell you guys a little bit about savage cars and uh clean title golf rs in general just like popping up on autotrader i actually just went quickly on auto trader and showed you guys or just to see the value of what this car is worth around me so a 2016 is about 29 grand with 33 000 miles that's exactly this one here we got another one 2016 42 29 we got 27 2016 35 000 miles that's the price of them before we start the video i wanted to show you guys the price to basically kind of contrast what the difference is and what i was telling you guys about the salvage and the clean title i noticed personally and me buying and selling cars some cars they don't really have a big gap between the salvage and clean titles some cars do i notice that audi's a5 example um what other cars m3s even e92 m3s they don't have like the biggest gap there's cars that dramatically drop the salvage title dramatically drops the value i believe so the golf r is not a dramatic drop i've seen these posted for 24 25 23 with savage title and um this one here costed us a lot cheaper with that being said the winning bid on this car was 12 700 off copart yeah that is extremely cheap a lot of guys commented saying tim you overpaid tim that but i don't know if you guys watch the video to the end because you may have not factored in the fact that we got a lot of parts with the car we didn't get a new rear bumper a new side skirt and most importantly a brand new rim this right here is not cheap this is a real bbs rim with a brand new tire and everything so this was a great surprise to us which is funny because when we looked at it at the co-part we didn't see the rim dude i don't know how we missed that thing that was ridiculous we opened this door but the rim was on the other side behind like a fender liner and a bumper so we couldn't really notice it so twelve thousand dollars and or twelve thousand seven hundred was a phenomenal winning bid in my opinion after fees and everything it was thirteen thousand five hundred and eight dollars plus 60 to get it back to our house since it was a local car and boom we got ourselves a wrecked golf r with that being said let's go ahead and show you guys some cinematic rollers of this car how clean it turned out and it's just looking perfect it is just crazy how clean like everything the bodywork turned out all the lines here like everything is oem everything's just looking absolutely stunning i'm very happy with this job and i know the customer will be too let's get those rollers [Music] [Applause] [Music] frozen [Music] so we are back now and i wanted to show you guys a little bit of the engine bay so this exactly is how we got the car for those you guys that don't believe me that has apr or just want to see boom we got an apr intake it is very hard to tell down in there but there's an apr intercooler you won't tell bro there's no way there's an intercooler that is tucked away over there there is a down pipe as you guys can tell right there it is extremely hot so i'm not going to really reach for it but this thing is fast if you guys saw my video it walked my 1m my 1m is mhd stage two tuned i was very disappointed it is what it is this thing though did not beat my rs3 so but the rs3 is gonna get much faster the rs3 is gonna get a stage two most likely so stay tuned for that let me tell you guys a little bit of the backstory on the car in general with all the parts the parts were extremely cheap for two reasons first of all volkswagen parts are dumb cheap in general they're not that expensive especially for a golf r basically the quarter pound just fits a regular golf it's not the end of the world it's a typical part it's not hard to get and it's very easy to access but a lot of the parts were in the car we did have a rear bumper which is probably expensive the diffuser was not damaged so we didn't need much parts so the parts list is very very small in this car i'm going to go ahead and name you guys everything we got a rear body vent which goes behind the quarter panel was 45 dollars a rear left tail light bracket which was 35 quarter panel which was 780 dollars rear left belt molding it was bent from the guys that probably tore all the part or tossed all the parts inside the car they literally bent it it was only 100 bucks upper radiator hose was 85 dollars honestly don't know why that was broken but a little piece of that radiator hose was broken driver side tail light 85 and a windshield which is cracked still is going to get replaced this windshield we went oem because i don't know windshield oem windshields are much higher qualities and i've noticed that sometimes you can even hear more road noise with aftermarket windshields but that was 500. that's it for parts and the rest was in the car also guys one thing i forgot to tell you is this thing has a clutch and a lightweight flywheel as you guys can hear that chatter that is from the lightweight flywheel don't ask me how i know i've had a 335 e92 which was highly tuned and i thought that shadow was a throw out bearing i dropped it off at the shop they took off my um my clutch and everything and they're like bro you have a lightweight flywheel and i was like all right here's a thousand dollars thank you very much but go ahead and pull on the clutch boom that chatter went away let me show you guys once again go ahead pull out that clutch go ahead and pull it in see guys that noise completely went away one of the things when tuning a car it's pretty easy to put all the bolt-ons in the front but what gets really annoying is when you have to pull the transmission off and put that clutch in that's one of the things i don't really like because it's kind of uncomfy to work under there but very happy that it's all done in this car we can do some solid digs and get some 0 to 60 times very fast so let's go actually speaking of let's go do some zero to 60 times this car has some uh has a lap timer and a 0-6 timer if i'm not mistaken if we don't we're gonna record off our phone and see if we can get like a four second maybe a three point seven second zero to sixty with manual much harder harder than dsg so we're gonna go ahead and put this thing in race mode traction control fully off and we do have a lab timer right there we got my guy driving um so basically as soon as the vehicle launches that timer starts off and then i'm going to look at the 60 mark and i'm going to look at the timer mark and if something we can pause the video and see exactly what a 0 to 60 will do we're going to do a couple of launches it's hard to get a perfect launch on a manual but let's go ahead and send it go ahead and set the lap timer up ready go ahead and lock i don't know i don't know how fast that was we're gonna have to go ahead and pause the video and see exactly when it hits 60. but let's do another launch all right try number two oh okay that was a solid lunch that was a solid launch that actually like scared me i was like ah but i guess we're gonna go on the computer and um guys don't be too critical because i'm sure there's better drivers i'm sure there's people that can get uh even better zero to sixty but with manual it's really hard you guys know what i'm talking about we're losing boost between gears but it still pulls hard it feels very very nice and tight some guys looking at me feels good and yeah that's that's that dude let's do a lot from the outside go ahead [Music] that sucker rips i think it's fast it is weird because like i gave a kid a ride today and he's like oh my goodness it pulls harder than lamborghini i mean i did a solid launch front-wheel drive i mean it has a very little bit of rear wheel if i'm not mistaken it's like 30 rear 70 front so it's going to be really hard near impossible to do donuts on it so that is our little attempt to do donuts on a golf r kind of embarrassing but it is what it is you know look at this thing though oh my y'all thought i only drifted rear wheel drive huh well this sucker here ain't no joke i'll tell you that thing guys one more thing we did add on to the car to get our full complete price was 500 bucks for paint we did get a good deal on pay my guy hooks me up we get some solid paywork for a great price which actually all only adds up to a total of i'll tell you guys right now i have it on my calculator fifteen thousand two hundred and twenty two dollars i don't think you guys can argue that price whatsoever that right there is extremely cheap for a car that's all tuned out got some real real wheels on it i'm sorry i'm storing words i'm very excited because this car is just impressive it blew me away in every single aspect i was not i never really hyped over a golf bar like all the other people do i know a lot of people like oh go far go far go fall and i'm just like no i'm more of a bmw audi guy this thing is sick it's a similar family to the volkswagen or the audi which is my rs3 high performance it runs like a dream but yeah this thing is a beauty i love it so guys this is going to be the end of the golf bar i'm going to do one more video of me giving back the car to the owner and we'll see his reaction we'll see how he erased the body work and um just in general how he fuels the poles because he has not driven this car just yet which for me is very very exciting so stay tuned for that video but this is gonna be a wrap on the golf bar here's
