back to watch tv somehow i fell asleep and when i opened my eyes it was already the next day i had my weekly shower because hygiene really wasn't a priority during my heartbreak and i made something documentaries so that i could fully understand what she was going through after a while elizabeth started asking me to send her money so that she could buy things in the commissary she explained that since she was sent to prison her family did not want to have anything to do with her so they stopped communicating with her and when there was not enough food at the prison she'd go hungry i didn't have much money but i sent whatever i could it didn't bother me much because i was really beginning to fall in love with her still no matter how often i asked elizabeth would never tell me why she was sent to prison one evening in the middle of the last season of orange is the new black my cell phone started ringing it was from a hidden number but i answered anyway hello i said michael it's me checked my bank account balance and had just enough to pay for a one-way ticket and a cheap hotel room for a few nights i booked the flight and was on my way by the end of the week when i got to my old cheap dusty hotel room i began planning my visit to elizabeth it was going to be a surprise as i hadn't told her i'd left my state i pretended to be at home as usual i called the prison to find out the visiting days and hours i'd have to wait two days but i decided that my new girlfriend was worth it when the day finally arrived i took a taxi to the prison i made one stop to buy a dozen roses my heart raced all the way there when i got to the prison they searched me then let me into the visitor's room i sat with my roses looking like a lost puppy dog then i saw her the most beautiful woman in the world dressed in the most splendid shade of orange i stood up and reached to hug her elizabeth my love i said michael my angel you came i wasn't expecting you are these for me she said while grabbing the roses hey no hugging aloud shouted the police officer we sat down calmly and began talking seeing her in person was a totally different experience it was exhilarating we spoke until the visiting hour was up parting felt horrible and i was sad that i wouldn't be able to see her until the next week i will miss you michael she said we'll see each other very soon we'll be together forever trust me i said not fully understanding what i meant i decided that i wanted to meet my girlfriend's family so that i could learn more about her i wanted to know why they had given up on her and why she had been sent to prison although she rarely ever spoke about her family she had told me a lot about her younger brother roger she cared a lot about him and was heartbroken when he stopped talking to her he was a vat and he actually worked close to my hotel it wasn't hard to find him i showed up at his office and told his secretary that i had an emergency when i met roger and told him about my relationship with elizabeth he stared at me shocked i think you should stay away from my sister why she's amazing i replied she's in jail for setting fire to her ex-boyfriend's house she can be really mean when she doesn't get what she wants he said don't you believe that everyone deserves a second chance she really misses you you're her favorite brother and she's told me so many good things about you i said then walked away i was all elizabeth had i had to find a way to be with her more often after brainstorming for the entire night i decided that i'd dress up as a woman commit a crime and get sent to the same prison i thought of stealing from a store but in the end i decided that i'd vandalize roger's building because he was so mean to his sister i went to the mall and bought a dress a wig high heels and some makeup i went back to my hotel room and shaved off all my facial hair so that my face would be baby soft i put on the dress added some tissue for boobs and then did my makeup finally i put on the wig in the shoes i was beautiful i got a bag and went outside to pick up some rocks when it was full i walked over to roger's office and began throwing them at the glass windows inside all the animals started making noise and everyone inside was startled in no time the police arrived and i was handcuffed and taken to prison i refused to say a word because my voice was so deep that they'd instantly know i was a man surprisingly i wasn't searched they simply gave me my prison uniform and stepped out of the room so i could change after i had changed they took my mug shot and took me inside i looked all around for elizabeth but i didn't find her i was taken to a room with a huge mean looking lady who looked like she was probably in there for squeezing somebody's brains out gosh she could be a sumo wrestler i don't want to get on her bad side i thought hey cutie what are you in for she said but i couldn't say a word that night at dinner all the inmates were in the cafeteria eating i looked all around for my girlfriend but it was difficult to spot her because everyone was wearing the same thing i finally spotted her about 10 tables away i got up instantly and went over elizabeth i whispered uh yeah she said while looking at me strangely i realized it was because of my disguise it's me michael i whispered oh my god how did you get in here she made space so i could sit next to her i whispered the whole story and she looked at me bewildered later she managed to bribe a warden to let us share a room it seemed that she had a good bit of power in there i was in heaven well you know minus the whole prison situation when the lights went out we'd cuddle together and tell each other stories all night for a few weeks this was the happiest relationship i ever had in my life i thought everything was going perfectly until i noticed that elizabeth was spending more and more time in the computer room i wondered what she could have possibly been up to since in the past she only used to go in there for me when i couldn't take it anymore i decided to question her about it what are you always going to the computer room for these days well i believe in honesty so i'll be straightforward i've started online dating again she replied what i said shocked and heartbroken why well since you're in prison with me i have no one to send me money do you think i'm just supposed to starve i like the hugs and cuddles and stuff but you're pretty useless to me right now she replied i was so angry that i went straight to the middle of the prison and screamed i'm
