hey everybody I'm rĂ¡pido I'm Dillon viado so two and a half years ago Dillon and I made a video of the making of one of Dillon's ear training videos it was March 4th 2017 now I never put this out on the channel not sure why but I'm gonna put it out now so here is the making of one of these ear training videos that many of you have scenes check it out [Music] the a sharp C sharp EP floppy [Music] write it down [Music] this video was filmed on Saturday March 4th 2017 about eight months into my YouTube channel there are no videos films or even pictures of me and my dad together when I was Dylan's age the technology just didn't exist at the time so all I have are these distant memories that at this point are nearly 50 years old I'd give anything to go back and see me and my dad hanging out doing something related to music or anything together the videos I did with Dylan are not simply perfect pitch demonstrations they're really Dylan using his ear and the theory that I taught him to analyze the things that I'm playing in real time so I set up three cameras for this video wonderful most walking in a distant camera to show the iPhone that I filmed the videos on in the actual iPhone I wanted to show people that Dylan wasn't reading off anything not that you could sing notes out of thin air even if they were written down so here's the video let's get set up for the shot here all right okay that's good that looks good all right okay done people would ask me when we're gonna do another video but I'm running out of things that are difficult to do so I got an idea check this out okay I'm gonna pluck some notes I want you to name it for me [Music] okay Levi's maybe no jazz chords I'm placing soon as let night good great what about see I see me the scale comes from all right I'm gonna do let's see this is kind of a tricky chord what's the name of this Court [Music] that's correct I'm gonna add a note to a singing Namath all right what is this [Music] okay signe and a major chord descending from C sharp G sharp a alright this i'ma play some chromatic poly chords what is I've made aware you lynnium that's correct okay Neiman sing these notes anybody but a flat plate cord I want you redone a couple quarts here what is this [Music] yeah one more for you Dylan this is a beat this is gonna be a cluster you know what a cluster is okay uh let's see here I want you to name and sing and write this down here [Music] [Music] the things that Dylan's doing in this video can be done with relative pitch and a lot of practice not the exact notes he's naming but the relative intervals many of you have known I've been working on an ear training program for the past two years with ideas that I've worked on for the past 30 years the ear training program will be available within the next few days and covers these concepts in great detail for more information go to be outer ear training com that's all for now please subscribe here to my everything music YouTube channel if you're a first-time viewer remember to ring the bell follow me on instagram at Ric be out of one if you're interested in the Beato book go to my website at wwlp.com and if you want to support the channel even more think about becoming a member of the Beato club thanks for watching [Music]
