I made 1000% on Mr. T's truck

that old made me beat on my door with cane right now good thing he's dead I mean seriously he's that he hated me my neighbor across the street from is an older gentleman and he's passed away now but back in today when I was selling cars online and things like that yeah he'd come by the house and he'd pull up in his 78 Ford pickup truck that he bought brand-new long bad grandpa specs all the way baby blue white walls full hubcaps and it was pristine he kept this truck immaculate he was a cool guy talking about the olden days I maybe didn't have dual exhaust in this truck like it was bone stock original had 60,000 miles on it well a few years down the road ends up he turns into a real bad diabetic and he can't drive anymore he lost leg things like that so the truck just sat in the garage well his wife was tired of you know trying to get in and out of her car in a two-car garage with this truck sitting there and in this sided they wanted to sell it so they came to me to sell it and being the good neighbor I'm there for him so he walked over and look at it and I and I asked you know and we called him his name was T te and so we called him mr. t mr. t what would you like for you little for truck hey so I think it's worth about $10,000 and I told him I said it's not rob the bat I said if you had the nice one in the world what you do is still not worth ten grand and he said what do you think it's worth and I said $3,500 all day long and I said I really think that's retail on this truck it's a long bed for truck and this was 15 years ago and and even now it's still along that truck it just kills the value of it but I thought people were happy trying to sell it for you he said I'd want more than 3,500 fortnight's I believe that's all I'll ever bring in the conversation I walked back to my house didn't think more about it well the wife comes to my house knocks on the door and she said would you pay $3,500 for it and I said no ma'am that's retail us what I would sell it for and she said we'll make me an offer on it and I said I don't I don't want to offend you I don't I'm not really in the market for for long pickup trucks and I said it's a great truck it's a nice truck and I said but I have no use for it and I said my offer would be very low she said would you get 1,500 bucks for I wrote her a check so I picked the truck up mr. T giving me the evil look as I'm backing out of the driveway in his four truck I back out of his driveway cut four houses down take a right pull into my driveway and looking at my born in 1978 four truck and this thing is immaculate and other than probably thirty thousand cigarettes being smoked in it it was absolutely perfect I mean it was pristine this truck was everything and it worked the original radio still had the label hanging from the knob I mean it's insane just how much paperwork I had one of those accordion style file folders of every receipt everything has ever been done to this truck is in this file folder I mean bill sales brochure serves them everything warranty cards everything and just looking through it's fascinating there's neat you know telling the story of this truck and I mean it's just gorgeous the paint was beautiful I was just a nice old truck but it's just a long bed grandpa truck if you had the nice one in the world you really they still don't have that much well I drove it around for a little bit I said hey I'll kick around in it and this is the reason right here while I don't drive forwards mr. t drove his truck for years never admits trouble with it I drove it to my shop and a wheel cylinder blew out and I'll about put it in a ditch driving it the very first time so I put a set of wheel cylinders on the back of it yeah fixed it right got good brakes on it again I decided you know it's time for me to part ways with the four truck so I took some really good pictures in the same church parking lot that I like to use amen and we put it on everybody's favorite internet auction site near and dear an old rabbit's heart we started out for a dollar it's classic rabbit move and that wasn't too worried about what it was going to bring so we we put it on there and it was only for seven days or actually oh well I put it on for a seven day auction and I didn't really check I was selling so many cars it really didn't bother me that man I really I didn't pay much attention to it well I got at about $5,000 and I'm like and that's impressive and I haven't even touched the bid on it yet which is the craziest thing and you know what I thought hey we'll just let this one work this is just working out on its own I sold about eight cars that we delivered and my little four truck was supposed to end like I want Saturday I believe it's was supposed to end next thing you know I look and it bends up to ten thousand dollars on this truck not like I even double-checked it and I'm like I swear to you my right hand up I did not touch the bid on this thing well next thing you know the last hour which is the golden hour for your bids this truck but fourteen thousand seven hundred dollars online the first thing I got in mind like this is a trap some kids been bidding on this thing this is gonna be this is gonna be a dyno show I know better there was a vineyard up north that opened in 1978 and they were looking for a trunk two-letter and display inside their vineyard and you're driving around used promotional stuff things like that they came down and yeah I think about it up north these trucks have rusted away and this truck was perfect and this guy drove down and he actually showed me a rendering that they drew up of it with it all hand painted lettered up with their logos on and all this stuff and just so happens the grandpa blue went with her logo and that's how I made a thousand percent profit off mr.
