I Got a Can Cannon

[Music] [Music] hey guys redneck mini14 here and i am super excited because i got myself a can canon from x products now if you live under a rock and you haven't seen the countless youtube videos on the can canon um it's pretty much the closest thing to a toy a toy that you can get that is uh for your ar-15 and it basically it's a cannon that you put it's an upper that you put on your lower for your ar-15 i got it in a kit so you can get it in a full configuration where you know you have the the upper and everything attached or you can get it in a kit where if you have an upper um or if you would just want to take the upper from your ar-15 take the barrel off you can do that and swap them out but if you get the kit you basically get the can which just a big hollow tube with some threads at the one end and then you have your barrel um it is you know there's no hole going through it and there is a pin uh that's welded into place you can see there kind of hard to tell but there's basically a pin that goes through here i think it prevents you from putting an actual live round in because a live round is actually longer than a blank and then you just screw this into the receiver now i thought it was kind of interesting that there are no locking lugs in this so there's nothing that the bolt is going to lock into um i would think that that would cause it to cycle but every time i see people shooting these it doesn't cycle and you have to manually cycle it so i don't know we'll have to see how that works whenever i get some blanks in which i did order some blanks but basically you just take your little barrel your whatever you want to call this it's not a barrel and you just slide it in to the receiver and take your can and just screw it on you don't have to like torque it down or anything you just hand tighten it and there you go now this is not a complete upper assembly um but i will be putting this together shortly now like i said i got it in a kit you can get it in a full configuration like this where it has the actual upper receiver it will not have the i don't think it has the shell deflector or it won't have a dust cover or a forward assist um and those i want to say cost like 250 230 something like that um i got the kit on sale for like 120 i think they're usually 140 maybe 150 i don't know but you get those two items um you know i got them for 120 typically 140 i believe and then i got a an upper a stripped upper receiver for like 65 bucks which is a pretty good deal considering the current climate and then i got a an upper parts kit so just your forward assist and your dust cover um not that you need those things but it it just kind of fits with the rest of my ar uppers and uh just makes it look more traditional in my opinion so i got those i got that for like 20 bucks so 120 140 plus 65 so just over 200 bucks for a can canon setup and you just pop it on your lower receiver get some blanks and uh get yourself some soda cans which by the way these shoot soda cans they shoot um you can shoot tennis balls you can shoot they have these little rubber balls that you that x products sell so you can shoot out of them you can choose grappling hooks you can shoot fishing spears you know x products has a whole line of things you can shoot out of them they have these like shot cups which is basically like just a big plastic cup that you put in here and then you can basically shoot whatever you want like rocks shotgun shot um whatever you can just make your own loads and uh put them in there pop a blank in and fire them off um and they also do make a golf ball launcher so you can it can be like a two in one type thing or you can buy it separately so if you see here you have some threads um on the inside that's for your golf ball launcher if you want to get one it's basically just another tube like this only it's a little bit longer i think and then it's quite a bit skinnier for a golf ball so you can put pop that in and have a golf ball launcher as well so you can have a can cannon that shoots soda cans or your twisted tee um um because that's pretty popular these days um soda cans beer cans tennis balls basically whatever you want and then you can put a smaller can inside for golf balls and you can launch golf balls as well so that's pretty cool um i do have some blanks on order x products was out of stock but i did find some blanks from a different company now one thing i want to say is if you're getting want to get a can cannon and you want to get some blanks to shoot through your can cannon um not all blanks are created equally so there are some really hot blanks out there that will um that are they're just too powerful for a can cannon like they'll make the soda can blow up in the tube so you want to make sure that you get blanks that are specifically meant for a can cannon because they'll have a specific charge in there so it won't blow the can up or i suppose if you're just using it to launch golf balls or tennis balls i suppose that doesn't really matter i have seen some videos where tennis balls actually blow up as they be as they're being shot out of the can cannon um that doesn't happen too often um but i have seen quite a few videos where the quite a few soda cans actually blow up as they're being shot through the air so just something to keep in mind um x products does sell specific um specific blanks for the canned cannon and then there are a couple other companies i think also sell blanks meant for the can cannon i got mine from a company called atlantic atlantic wall blanks i think is what they're called and they specialize in five five six and seven six two and like thirty out six blanks on all these different types of blanks um so i hopefully get those in a few weeks because you know shipping delays and everything but once i get them i'm going to get uh some cheap soda cans tennis balls and we're gonna take it out and we're gonna have some fun
