I Give It All given by Kenny Baldwin

I don't know about you but I'm thankful for God's grace amen well God's been good to me and I thank the Lord for His goodness and His grace I am what I am by the grace of God I'm so glad to be here and thankful for the opportunity and privilege again as it is always the privilege of mine to be here at Temple Baptist Church and Crown College and I want to thank dr. Sexton in his absence and his absence for the opportunity to be here and stand in his pulpit and always the gracious kind hospitality that has extended when I come here and I thank the Lord for and I appreciate the ministry here and what God is doing from here all around the world for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the joy of mind to be here every chance an opportunity I get thank you brother Paulie for your friendship and for the time you've spent with me already in us since we've been here and the joy and privilege to be here and a meeting like this I still believe that God is doing great things I know that he's doing the lives of young people and I'm glad that the devil doesn't have all of me man we stand tonight look at a conference choir a congress choir I should call it young people filling the choir law singing about Jesus and say man and truth is marching on we still have something to live for thank the Lord that God is still on the throne and the opportunity we have to serve Him and I appreciate these young men Nathaniel and Cameron that came with me and then Brad Brad was a student here at some point in time back in 2008 or so and now he's serving in our church faithfully playing the piano and ministering and our daycare and we certainly thank the Lord for him and the privilege of serving the Lord and I want to thank every youth pastor and sponsor who took the time to bring these young people to a meeting like this it's never waste of time when we get them under the Word of God and a chance for God to stir their hearts of fresh and to renew some things and to rekindle some things and maybe start up some things in their lives and we might be able to go back home and do something in a lost and dying world for the cause of Jesus Christ so thank you so much for being here tonight and for coming and for listening and for letting God speak to your heart and I know that he will and that he will and I just pray that God will use me in a special way I do have some music and some preaching some music CDs and mp3s of preaching somewhere in the building if you're interested I believe it's in one of these hallways or somewhere if it can be a help to you after the service I trust that it can take your Bibles and turn to the book of 1st chronicles chapter number 21 1st chronicles chapter number 21 one of my dearest friends in all the world brother Josh Grubbs is here tonight Josh I lost where your bearings back there waving hand and his dear wife wave your hand back there stand out stand up so everybody can see you now stand up they are dear friends of mine Josh and Kim Grubbs it's always good to see you all some of our dearest friends and all of the world I thank the Lord for them and the group of 50 or so they brought over from from Cleveland to Tennessee to be here tonight what a blessing that is let's all stand for the reading of God's Word 1st chronicles chapter number 21 I've already heard about the great preaching of dr. Eddie Lupino already and I thank the Lord for him and the ministry there First Baptist Church and I'm having the opportunity to be there next week so we'll get a chance to see each other once again thank you for what you've already done this week for the Eddie and the lives of these young people let's go to verse 4 18 then the Angel of the LORD commanded GAD to say to David that David should go up and set up an altar unto the Lord in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite David went up at the saying of GAD which he spake in the name of the Lord in Hoorn and turned back and saw the angel and four sons with him hid themselves now Ornan was stretching wheat and his David came to order though he looked and saw David went out of the threshing floor and bowed himself to David with his face to the ground then David said Lord and grant me the place of this threshing floor that I may build an altar there in unto the Lord thou shalt grant me for the full price that the plague may be stayed from the people in Hoorn and Senator David taken to thee and let my lord the king that which is good in his eyes though I give be the Ox and also for burnt offerings and the threshing instruments for wood and the wheat for the meat offering I give it all a father I pray God that should use me tonight I pray you tip to me of myself and cleanse me of sin fill me with thy holy spirit that I might preach with us saith the Lord God I need you tonight we've traveled many of traveled great distances to be here and we've got a lot on our minds many things that are lobbying for our attention and our focus but none more important than the precious Word of God take the Bible serve it on the table of the hearts of these not people that every one of us might eat me field and strengthen the every word that it pertains to life and godliness and lord I pray God that you would anoint these lips of clay I pray that I would say what I should say I would not say what I should not say I pray God that I'd realize that although you don't need me I certainly need you god help me to get my mind off of everything else and to focus in on what you have to say tonight I pray function to function and father God that when all is said and done you get all the praise all the honor and all the glory that's due your Holy Name force in Jesus name we ask him pray and bless my wife and rest of children while I'm going Jesus name Amen you may be seated thank you so much for standing here in first chronicles 21 verse 1 tells us that Satan stood up and provoked David in the numbering Israel now this was very significant because you have to understand God was not really interested in numbers to David or maybe to men numbers were big deal but to God it really didn't matter whether Israel had one one thousand 1 million God was the one fighting the battle and they need not get caught up in numbers they need to be caught up hit Almighty God nonetheless David buys into the pressure of Satan and numbers the people of Israel against Joanne's Council and verse number seven tells us that God was displeased with this thing this should have caught Davis attention God was displeased with this thing therefore he smote Israel and if you know the story David recognizes his sin and the foolishness that he has accomplished and all of a sudden God sends to him through the seer or the prophet and he begins to tell David listen I want you to choose one of three punishments three years of famine three months to be destroyed by your enemies or three days under the sword of the Lord David's response was to choose three days under the sword of the Lord he understood something about God God is a God of mercy this is not my message tonight when I stand thankful tonight that I serve a God of mercy that even in my times of life when he should have come down harder on me he should have punished me in a much more severe way I'm glad that his mercy showed up in my life and when I could have been consumed when I should have been gone when I should have been lost with I should have been annihilated God's mercy show live in my life it stopped the judgment of God it stood between God God's wrath and me and I'm thankful tonight I'm not here because of what I do or because of Who I am I'm here tonight because of the greatness of the mercy of God praise His name so God's hand all of a sudden comes down only as rivercourt of verse fourteen seventy thousand men died as God sent that angel to Jerusalem to destroy it and as that angel was destroying God stopped the angel right there and said it is enough and all of a sudden David began to look up at God as if to say I'm the one that said I'm the one that tells you why are you judging them judge McGarr once again through GAD the seer God sent a message to David I want you to go to the threshing floor I've warned in the genocide build an altar sacrifice to me there and all David goes he gets to the threshing floor of Ornan and it begins to ask scorn and for that threshing floor but it is the response and the attitude of Ornan that i want to look at tonight we find out in verse 23 horn and heard what David asks for but he responds with more than just what David asked for he responds with the oxen and with the threshing instruments and with the wheat and then he concludes in verse 23 with this powerful statement I give it oh I want you to understand something about warning tonight because I believe that all and understood something that all of us need to understand and that is this issue of total surrender let me say it again total surrender or didn't got to the point where he said I'm not holding anything back I'm not keeping anything for myself I'm not worried about what I can spend on me I'm not worried about what I can save for my own personal interest or even got to the point where he said I don't give everything I'll let it all go I've kept it all this time I'll sacrifice everything I have and he came to the conclusion I give it all and I say to you tonight young people has you've been here all week long you've listened to one message after another message and you've said in one session after another session and at the end of the day we can dance around the issues and we can play with the subject all we want to but there's a God in heaven who's not looking for most of you or a part of you or a portion of you or a percentage of you there's a God in heaven tonight who's looking for all of you and I wonder if there's a boy or girl it'll say enough with the games enough with the gimmicks enough with the tricks and enough with the tries enough with the altar calls enough with the phony decisions tonight once and for all it's not just music it's not just stressed it's not just closed it's not just thoughts it's not just college it's not just language it's not just this and it's not just that I hear - I hear Paul pleading in Romans 12 I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God that you present your bodies a living sacrifice holy acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service and be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God there's a God tonight that says it's high time you put yourself on the altar and say I'm crucified with Christ nevertheless I live yet not i but Christ liveth in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me yester a boy or girl tonight that says I surrender all to God he laid his life down for me he gave me his very best and tonight because I love him tonight because he loves me tonight because I wanna serve him tonight because he's a good cause tonight because he's got my best interests at heart without a doubt without fear without apprehension hesitation or reluctance I can eat Oh somebody's gotta surrender and America needs some surrendered young people some surrendered young people enough with the games and enough with the gimmicks it's time get serious I give it all I want you to notice three things tonight about this wonderful story let's see if God can help us to get where Horn and God see if God get help you get where you need to be I give all number one I believe David had a reference for his ruler a reference for his ruler according to verse number twenty the Bible said I'm sorry Onan had a reference for his ruler a reference for his ruler we're talking about on and according to verse number twenty the Bible said on and turn back and saw the angel now understand when he saw this angel this was an angel of destruction this was an angel that was destroying Jerusalem this was an angel sent by God for the purpose of judgment this was an angel that was bringing retribution for sin that it took taken place and when Orlan looked back and saw that angel no doubt in my mind he realized the problem there were 70,000 men that had died and he was a servant that said people dying on my watch concerns me people dying while I'm alive concerns me and when he gave that blessing for no doubt in my mind he began to realize my king has shown up with the problem and here I've got a chance and the opportunity to do something about this problem I'll not pass upon this chance there's somebody in here tonight as concerned about the fact three out of four seniors graduate without their virginity anybody here bothered by the fact 20% of all fifteen year olds have sex by the time they turn 15 anybody struggling with the fact that in your generation more seventh and eighth graders today are smoking marijuana anybody burdened with the fact that the average teenager spends eleven hours and 23 minutes a day on some form of social networking is anybody in here bothered today that every sitcom has at least one homosexual on it is anybody in here concerned about the epididymal ever Demick of rock music and rap music and pop music country soul R&B techno and want to be Christian that's sweeping across our world today is there a boy or girl in here that's concerned about the accessibility or pornography and the vices of this world that's to sweep us every single day yes there a boy today that says I'm sick and tired of boys that don't know they're boys I'm sick and tired of homosexuality and the foolishness of society is there anybody in here that closes interns at night because your generation is going to hell in a basket my friend it's about time you stand up and say there's a problem and I can do something about it he realized the problem but beloved tonight he recognized the person the Bible said verse number 21 that's David came to him uh-huh I wanna look saw David when I was a freshman floor and bowed himself to David huh Oh what it must have been like been hanging in that threshing floor one day just doing his daily work just going through his ordinary routine just functioning like he function every day of the week what it must have been like brother Paulin to look down the driveway and see the king's chairs pull up what it must have been like to see the the cavalry and all those that travel with the King as they arrived at his house oh it was it was not unusual to see the King at the palace it was not unusual to see the king at the prestigious locations in town but with ordinary ivory that day and saw the king coming to his house he must have felt special can I say to you tonight when we preach on surrender it's not your mama asking for your surrender it's not your daddy asking for your surrender it's not your preacher asking for your surrender I didn't drive down to Tennessee tonight so you could surrender to me I wish somebody looked down the driveway you see them horses you see those cherries you see that robe you see that crown that ain't the preacher that ain't a missionary that ain't the president that ain't Colby that aint LeBron that ain't Tiger that ain't Britney that ain't Beyonce that's the king oh I feel a preaching storm coming on right about now what it must have felt like to see the king coming down the driveway can you see him tonight can you see him can you see him he could have stopped past a lot of places but he found us right down at Powell Tennessee tonight he found some hearts that were ready he found some lives that were planned he found some boys and girls that were candidates he found some vessels that were eligible and he could use it Oh could you hear me tonight here's the king riding down the driveway of your heart can you see him tonight what it must have been like for order to look down there and see oh my goodness that's my king oh my goodness that's royalty at the house oh my goodness he left the palace to come see me oh my goodness he rolled down my with oh my goodness he's hanging out in my neighborhood oh my goodness he's got time for me Oh somebody denied all to see Jesus coming up the driveway he said he looked and it saw David all tonight would you look up would you see Jesus tonight high and lifted up the Alpha the Omega the beginning and the end the first and the last the lily of the valley the bright and Morning Star the fairest of ten thousand to our soul seven hundred years before his incarnation as they say he's wonderful he's counselor he's mighty God he's the everlasting father he's the Prince of fish he's a lamb and glory he's a line of Judah he's the way he stood truth he's a resurrection he's alive he's a man he's the faithful and true witness he's had two now he's he'll show that he's here low he he's the rock of my salvation my own the firm foundation he's a faithful friend who will not change your cornerstone who remains to say he's Jesus he's the son of God and he's God the Son I'm nipa ting all-powerful I'm nishan all-knowing I'm the president ever at the same time immutable he can't change eternally he was he is and he is to come he's my salvation my sanctification my justification my rectification my reconciliation my propitiation my glorification for each and he'll friend nation he's the king of kings and the Lord of lords - no he's Jehovah Jireh my provider Japanese say my better camera I'm Bosch ever tell her I'll find my healer jokes alone my piece Joe Strummer the Lord whose present Joe said Katie the Lord who is my righteousness he's the king of knowledge the wellspring of wisdom the doorway of delivers the pathway of peace the roadway of righteousness the highway of holiness the bathtub the Gateway of glory the master of the matter the head of the heroes the leader of the legislators the overseer overcomers the governor governor's the Prince of princes the King of Kings and the Lord of lords the heaven of heavens kick containable let alone a man explain him you can't get him off your man you can't get him out your hands you can't outlive him and you're sure I can't live without him the Pharisees couldn't stop him Pilate couldn't find a Fault in him the witnesses couldn't get their testimonies to agree Herod couldn't kill him death couldn't help and the grave could not hold him there's been nobody before and there'll be nobody after him he had no predecessor and it'll have no successor you can't impeach Jesus and he ain't gonna resign he's king of kings and he's Lord of lords and tonight I'm not talking about the big man upstairs or the butler you ring the bell for when you're thirsty or prefix for your customer I'm talking about the creator of the universe the king of kings and Lord of lords the only wise God the Son of God I'm talking about the great I am left the palace of glory and tonight he's come down your driveway to your heart saying hi what you boys anybody seeing him in Hornung I was have some a key he realized the problem he recognized the person he respected his position he bowed himself to the ground you know why some teenagers never give their all cuz they never get down success he walked into church tonight as if God should be impressed that you came here you just go on the while on others he's calling he just don't go on and pass you by say CC where's the reference we're in the house of God tonight it's not American Idol Showtime at the Apollo Dancing with the Stars we only got one star in here the star of Judah the star of David the Star of Bethlehem and if he's not the one shining you're out of place how can I keep anything for myself when I realize that's my king in reverence for his ruler secondly he had a readiness to react take it to thee you know he noticed the request presented Ornan grant me the place of the threshing floor yes sir you know I'm finding out I'm finally not very few teenagers are in tune enough to God to even know what he's asking I tell our teenagers all-time most of you live in smurf world you'll have clue I won't say how some of you sit in as good a churches as you sit in and have no clue to the will of God I don't know how many you remember I don't know how some of you've memorized that much Scripture and still live like spiritual zombies you know why you're not in tune with your king you're not in tune you know why you're in tune with your PlayStation and you're in tune with your Facebook page and you're in tune with Twitter and you until whatever me and Instagram and whatever else you got hey something you ought to get off a Facebook and get your face in the book and determine by the grace of God give somebody speech and I miss it no big deal but for Heaven's when the Kang speaks I need to be paying attention I need your threshing hey what's God put his finger on do you notice the request presented this week what did God say I won't it hey that relationship you're in now on it haven't college choice for next year I want it and that part I want it hey those clothes that are in modest I want them that thought life I want it boy that message was sure good why God spoke to me hurry dude nothing out the message huh you're smurfing how in the world can God's Word be open and you're not here God he noticed the requests presented why said he had no reason to pray you know it amazes me I look at this story Hornets Orlin grant me the thrust of this would only grant me the place of this threshing floor the next statement take it to thee you know Hornet had been the average teenager today and the King said I want the threshing floor you know only would've said I'll get back to you King I need to pray about it can I ask some of you question why are you praying about stuff you already know you should be doing you need to come to church faithfully I'm praying about it for what you need to tie pray for me that God will help me pray about whether or not I should time I tell our people hotel don't get nervous when I start on my tab I haven't even started talk about your money yet the tithe is the Lord's I don't want God to bother my money it ain't you you know young people y'all be on so and I'm praying about it what do you pray know but I'm praying about praying you ought to pray for an IQ hey one of the best doctrinal statements ever been stated was stated by Nike just do it just do it hey it's the holiness of God has sent your lap this week and I did some things in your life that need to change don't be praying about whether you should or whether you will or whether you can or whether it's best for heaven saying just go with God and determine if God wants sad I'm gonna give that no reason to pray question no right to procrastinate I'm gonna give you this here threshing-floor King but you're gonna have to wait a month you know what there's some of you that are gonna serve God you thought I mean you don't already marked it down oh yes oh yes I'm telling you right now blessed God sound like it's just make you feel like you're doing some spiritually blessed God I'm gonna serve God next year wait a minute there's some of you are made up your mind this fall you don't get on fire for God but you want your summer you want to cut a fool for two more months for you serve God say what in the world is kind of food I tell you what kind of fool this is when you cut a fool that's when you act like you don't have no sense that's what kind of fool is that some of you gonna settle down and have a good family one day after you mess up your life and what you know what bothers me the most is that you're content to let people keep dying while you procrastinate 70,000 70,000 have died we don't need the blessing for tomorrow next week next month next year down the road we need that flashing slaw now who's gonna wait tonight I'm gonna be fewer how about study my Bible have my pride have a be a soul winner having faithful to church I'm gonna give my language together I'm gonna date the right person down the road sooner now get right now to let me give you one more I'm finished he had a relinquish in of his resources take it to thee I like this take it Washington it was not a selfish attitude listen to statement and let my lord the king do that which is good his ass cuz we say come in here Dave look what I got do what you wanted him here yes here's my inventory do what you wouldn't take my life and let it be consecrated Lord to thee so you've mapped out your life you strategically plan what God is gonna do with you wrong answer you don't plan what God's gonna do with you you let God plan what he's gonna do with you it's not your job to show God how to run your life it's your job to give God your life and let him run it you made up your mind you're not much you know smart enough you're not able enough you know that let's quit enough you're not gifted enough you don't have enough charisma you don't have enough courage you don't look nice enough you don't make enough money your grades aren't good enough you're too shy you're too timid you got a bad background your past is too graphic hey let me tell you something why don't you just invite the King in and say here's all my mess here's all my mishaps here's all my mistakes here all my problems it's all my past here's all my grief and here's all my shame but I know something about the King you got an ability to take little and make mush out of it and it may not look like much to somebody but whatever I have is yours it's not a selfish attitude Washington it was not a solicited act do you remember the story grant me the threshing floor do you remember the response brushing instruments huit all of it I like Cornyn's attitude he didn't penny pinch with God you know when I hear teenagers all time when Scott you hear alter something else we gotta give up oh here we go another rule some some of you feel like you live in purgatory you grew up in a Christian home and you've already told yourself the moment you see a ray of freedom you're out of there I can't go nowhere I can't wear nothing I can't date nobody ain't never gonna be a boy good enough for my daddy our school won't let us do nothing our culottes are too long our blouses are too high we can't listen any kind of music we can't go to the movies we can't drink we can't smoke weekend cuz we can't you we can t run to those that do and we can't do nothing in our life we can't watch television we can't rip these DVDs we can't watch anything here we can't listen to this and we can't do fun and there's a problem with everything and there's your attitude is wrong see when you're in love with Jesus it's not something else that I have to do it's something else that I get to do and it's always Lord you want this how about that it's this enough Lord take my mind take my sauce take my dreams take my place take my goals take my take my ambition take my relationship take everything about me after all when you came and laid your life down at the cross you gave everything for me I want to give a breath thanks for you you really thank you chef Fraser God's been good to you you know God's been good to me God gave me a great wife giving me kids I got three big sons I've taken him into my home 24 22 21 19 I just married one of them in the Bahamas Pete Tuesday these these not like my sons guys give me they are my son I brought him into the house they bout to suck me out every bit of money I got they bout to kill me dead some people kill your other people kill you did you know what he's been worth it all I love with all my heart I give my life for I get to see him stand up and preach the Word of God lead people to the Lord I get to see God on their lives you know I never been a movie theater in my life some of y'all think I'm crazy you crazy I'm not dying never takes alcohol to my life that smoke cigarette my life I met my wife as a virgin she met me the same way yeah well you know if you grew up in life and never get to try any of those things later in life you'll be curious and you end up trying those things because you were so restricted from the previous of being able to explore all of those things are all part of your promising ascending cultural development of which you're entitled to as a thriving heterosexual could I tell you something I'm a grown man and I never been shot with a gun do you understand that I'll never go down to Washington DC on a Friday night and say hey look here my man for real for real ain't never been shot bust a cap in me so I can see what it feel like I've never been shot before but I've seen enough it's all good in the hood some of you in here tonight thinking you're missing out on life you can't dress like you want to it you can't go away you want to you have you ever think about the fact that God is protecting you that God is saving what he's giving you because there's a king in heaven that's looking for somebody that's got something that he can use and if you use it all out for the Davo you won't have anything to use for God it's not a selfish attitude and it was no problem surrendering oh where are you tonight well I've made some great decisions this week I've changed this and I've changed that I'll fix this now fix that I've made an adjustment here and adjustment there I'm better than I was when I got here - question won't you just give him everything all the one life so son of a bath only what's done for Christ will last only one chance to do his will so give to Jesus all your days it's the only life that pays when you recall I wonder if there's ready and willing to say
