Entire piano filled with water sounds UNREAL

oh my god it's deep now i know you will get disappointed if i didn't at least try this let's just go buy a piano waterproof it and then fill it up with water you know what i realized i haven't bought a piano this entire year until now now i can see why everyone voted for this idea it's such a bad idea because we can't just fill it with water it's going to leak through the keys and if we waterproof the keys you're not going to be able to play the piano but i eventually got a terrible idea okay i know this looks bad but i'm doing it for the sake of science you see it's like i've never even been here i tie the fishing line here fishing line is connected so when you pull it hits the key that way we could put the keyboard on top of the piano and completely seal the front we have come we have came to a little little problem so this is the hammers that will slap the problem is that after four minutes in water they already start jamming because the wood swells and these joints are yeah so this idea is not going to work i will have to glue together my piano again and i've decided i talk with the piano text on discord and we're going to have to buy another piano [Music] i'm just kidding we just have a big sinkhole where we need to slap the strings but i do like that it kind of looks like a kid's pool i mean we could make it one i mean i don't want kids here let's waterproof some cardboard boxes to practice we could consider this a fail but if you think about it it's actually 99 waterproof so let's go i just released the tension on all the strings and now it sounds like this it's like a school piano the plan now was to remove the golden frame with the strings on that's the only way we can find and remove the hidden potential leaks i carefully tried to pry it out but nothing worked i finally got it loose and the reason it was so hard is because these tuning pins basically double screws and there's 230 of them so the frame is really heavy so you need a friend to lift it out from the piano so that's why i bought this crane [Music] this tape is here to illustrate water how do we keep the water from draining down into this hole and ruining the piano i had so many bad ideas with walls and strings going through them but someone on discord told me we can just tilt the piano and the water won't leak down into the hole in case you're going to try this at home the first step to make a piano waterproof is to sand the finish then we're going to apply this forbidden ice cream to seal the cracks i applied it with my finger because if i used a different body part i couldn't post this on youtube i'm making this little water barrier so we can fill the piano straight up too without tilting and messing with it and maybe we can see the sound waves ripple on the surface that would be cool at this point i kinda realized how much work this was going to be it looks so good the reason i know what to do here is because i spent days googling how to waterproof my piano surprisingly i didn't get a lot of results but once i got deep enough in the interwebs i found people making aquariums out of plywood boxes and if you think about it that's essentially what i'm doing too i just did the final layer and this is like the most perfect generic pool color after i sealed the entire thing i realized that i measured something wrong surprise so i had to spend 20 hours scraping off silicone and then remake the entire water protection again it's kind of funny actually it's not that funny but this is the first time i'm putting piano strings on a piano so this is i can swim soon i mean the water is moving i'm not sure if it's because of the sound yeah it's it's muting the piano why does my keys feel wet i hope it's me i don't think it's leaking yet no it's a what oh that's awful [Music] the sound is spreading so well like the mic is there but it's picking up the entire piano like the same the mic is there it's a shame i only know one song [Applause] or wisp [Music] handling it we're not done yet i want more depth it's been a few days since i filled it the last time i got some help making a third leg because as you can see the piano is actually quite a lot tilted now and in that way we can feel a lot more water the piano is like it never had water in it in the first place so very good and it still sounds like a piano but now we're not here to play around i mean we can't r but we're going to fill it to the rim let's get started every bucket is 10 liters and we're going to fill it with many buckets the first 10 liters [Applause] oh no it's whoa that's deep that's like peepy length already here's what the piano sounds like with the above surface mics [Music] this is with only the underwater mics oh and with all of them together [Music] let's go for the 20 liters of water now it's this deep okay so we're reaching the strings the underwater mics are completely submerged now so they should sound interesting above surface mics only [Music] it's a bit muted let's see if the duck floats now yeah this was what if this is an old man we are kind of screwed [Music] let's go for 30 liters of water [Applause] that's a lot of water the water level is reaching those strings beneath and we're just reaching these so this would be interesting regular mics only sounds still kind of normal a bit muted [Music] okay a lot muted now they start strings are submerged almost half the way soon that's what the difference already okay i'm excited to hear the underwater mics [Music] oh [Music] liters oh now the strings are really really really one hour and 20 minutes now okay we did it 130 liters of water just a little leak i'm going to swim in it just so i can say that i swim in my piano i know you would get disappointed if i didn't at least try this i hope i don't fall it's holding so you can play some pool oh that's not too bad this is kind of nice actually strings are actually quite comfortable it can be hard being a youtuber sometimes but when you can end the day like this laying in your piano with a drink in the water it's all worth it i will disappear have a good day i know i'm going to ruin a 400 hour project in a few seconds but i just need to know if we overfill the piano will it start looking like a fountain and training through the keys i hope it's recording because there's no way to shoot this scene again is
