I Fail Terribly Again (The First Sentence Challenge)

the man has undulating sharks undulating nobody likes that yeah we all know about your sweaty thumbprints yes we do well if you were to read the second sentence it might do it you know it might add more context do it you want to do that do it you're conceding that point why you got to say it so many times you lose good day okay so today we are going to be talking i'm we're going to do the first sentence challenge so corey's going to read the first sentence of some books that i've read hopefully better books i read just the shelf why just these shirts just that shelf these shelves okay and the ones on the floor that i told you were fine i did those things the first sentence of and then i'm gonna try to guess what book it is as i said to the person that requested this video this would be a great way to showcase that i can't remember anything and i shouldn't be on booktube but it should be fun i think it's gonna be easier than you think i really doubt it yeah um so if i get it correct on the first sentence i get three points if he reads the second sentence i get two if you read the third sentence i get one and if inevitably i still don't know i lose okay oh how many points how many points do i get to win the game how many points we have 10 bucks at what point do you lose i don't know like four points probably okay okay i just i'm really excited so the first one's gonna be very i don't i don't read that many books that use a lot of pop culture this one has pop culture um paul newman he was an actor yeah i genuinely don't know who that is and he raced cars i think too and he has a pizza line which we enjoy okay tell me oh tell me that this this is the paul newman that makes you trying really hard not to look at your notes because you're just like flying i don't know what newman and a ride home okay so i'm thinking it might be a bachmann because bachmann uses pop culture sometimes he uses references like that and movie house sounds like it's translated and bachmann's through the political news in the times oh the times okay that threw me off a little i was thinking we're in a jane austen novel okay so it would be what it how old is the times is the times really old would it be in a classic novel with the times being a classic novel yes yeah yeah uh little women no i don't know he laid the paper down and glanced out the window they were running now through somerset what he glanced at his watch another two hours to go okay okay i want to say it's a jane austen i know someone said it is british town yeah so but everything that jane austen writes is in hint sure it's not a genre you really read that often okay so it's historical romance yes there is only one genre that you don't read often and that's it well it has to be historical based on no it
