I CRAWLED INTO A TUNNEL And Caught BIG FISH!!! (Ultra Shallow Canal)

hello glorious highway side canal creek ditch spillway thing how the hell are you today my name is josh i've met you once before but it's been a while so just as a recap my name is josh and i'm here to violate you came here one time with boo and uh all we got was little catfish but one of my buddies who shall not be named he'll know who he is if he's uh watching this but uh he actually caught some pretty big channels out of here and maybe a couple bass a long time ago and he was just a little young lad and uh yeah we're here to try again not promising anything but we will surely try our best what is going on you dirty old stash bags it is me and i am off the side of a busy highway so this video is going to have some of the worst audio out of any video that i've ever made in my entire life which might be kind of a relief to the people that think i talk too much because you won't be able to hear me nearly as well but uh yeah we're gonna start by throwing some bass lures uh we don't have that much time there's a big thunderstorm coming and uh maybe some rain we might get rained out might have to chill in the truck for a little bit i don't really know but uh yeah it's nice right now but it ain't gonna last long so without further ado i'm going to uh well i got a black and blue jig tight on i think i'm just gonna flip that around and see if i can't get bit on that and if i can't get bit on that then we got the old trusty nightcrawlers not really much else to cover this should be fun and uh i'm excited so uh yeah come along with me see what that we can catch hopefully something big hopefully something weird hopefully something cool stuff things [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] got one got one that didn't take long and that's a good one that's a real good one i didn't think it was that big at first get out of there get out of there get out of that bush luckily it's a jig don't break off don't break off don't break off that didn't take long that didn't take long all right we still got night crawlers to fish but uh that's a good sign good little start like i said i'm not sure how long of a video this is gonna be this is actually the first bass i've ever caught here um but yeah we should be able to should be able to scrape out something not giant but i mean for a ditch off the side of the road two pounder ain't bad maybe a little more maybe a little less now i just got to get it off this damn bush we're going to get back in there see if we can get another one sorry you guys are kind of just looking at my nuts but you'd think if there's one there might be two three four who knows but i lost some pinchers i might have already had the pinchers lost i'm not really sure but yeah on the board good start and uh hopefully there's more bass and if there's not then yeah we'll uh fish for other stuff my buddy that's fished here before has caught a pretty big catfish here he actually uh caught it on a bass jig too so keep flipping her out there see if we can't get something truly gigantic i think most fish are gonna be up by uh where the water's coming in here but we got all these trees too so i mean it's a little tiny puddle but there's lots of structure there's lots structure structure that moves too i got to be careful on these rocks they're sketchy keep casting the jig for a while even though my trailer's messed up i'm just too lazy to uh go grab another one and i really think it was kind of screwed up before that fish even bit so if he bit it why wouldn't another one it didn't even feel like real life when that fish fit i felt a little tick and i panicked and i didn't really know what to do and waited forever to set the hook now that we know there's actually bath here maybe next time we'll set the hook a little faster [Applause] no promises but hypothetically i hope i hope hmm what to do what to do i can either just take my jig and go up the canal try to poke around for some more bass fish or i can just fish with night crawlers here i'm scared if i just fish with night crawlers here that i'll just be stuck here so i think we're gonna try to go up the canal and take a look around i know there's more fish here i've seen swirls didn't really look like bass kind of looked like gar really and there's definitely been bait fish and i reel my bait across the surface little minnows have been kind of scattering but after catching that one bass i kind of want to catch another bass so let's hop up and take a look around hopefully it doesn't start raining on us more i see some fish up here they aren't bass but they're the ones that i can see aren't bass anyway i don't know what they are i think they're gar or cart but i might have to try to catch those eventually too but first we'll take a look up around here worst case scenario go back there and fish with night crawlers and stuff like that and see what else we can't muster gonna have to try to find a deep little pool in this canal if we're gonna find any fish because pretty shallow all along here so yeah walking up this way might be a waste of time but i'm gonna walk for i don't know quarter mile or something maybe less see if i can't uh find some fish and if i can't i know some fish are so we'll go back if we gotta see you there or here or somewhere alrighty well we briefly got rained out but we are back now and it is sunny we got a weightless night crawler and to uh further prevent it snagging we got a bobber i'm gonna throw the jig around a little bit more i can't i can't believe there's just one bass i mean there's got to be more so plop the night crawler in let it kind of float around throw the bass jig and then worst case scenario we'll uh go to the other side and then i also got there's also more stretch of this canal ditch thing that we can try too so just exploring seeing what we can't find and that bass was a good start but we need more than that so i'll shut up right here for like 20 minutes we can't even get a buy out on a night crawler though we're gonna give it up and switch sides so that's what we're doing little update for you see you soon [Applause] oh fire is gone i got to climb down here to get my snag out but the bobber is slowly sinking got whatever it is and it ain't tiny yeah it's a little channel kitty nice there is something other than bass in here cool not that cool but cool i thought it was something better than that i like took the bobber down and held it down so i thought it'd be a little bit bigger but little catfish out of the drainage ditch after the sun came out later friend i'm getting ready to climb through the tunnel to uh go try to fish for those fish and um yeah i'm pretty convinced that we're not gonna get another bite on the bass jig but i'm gonna keep fishing it anyway because i don't wanna believe it's true so yeah another night crawler out on this and guess we'll keep casting the jigs crossing my mind that maybe a senko might be a good idea but i just don't want to god this audio is going to be garbage that's all right though you guys have probably heard enough from me over the years that one video that you can't hear me probably ain't the worst thing ever all right well bobber's back out hopefully it goes down again maybe something a little bit better and then keep throwing the jig expect why expect i can't believe there's not a fish in those trees i've thrown down this whole tree line and just haven't been able to make it happen i mean you figure if i throw this jig long enough i'll at least catch the same bass over again right fish forget things fish forget things so hopefully that one forgets to oh barber's down again [Applause] lots of kitties not big kitties but lots of kitties that was on the other side this time oh can we savor a night crawler yep well we're catching i mean i was starting to worry that that bass was gonna be the only thing we caught but we're catching fish now i expect see what else we can get the fish on the other side looked like carp and gar some of the gar looks kind of big so we ain't gonna wait too long before we head over there i'll tell you that for free a couple more of these little channel dinks and we're gonna have to call it quits on this side and go exploring you guys want to go exploring okay two more channel kitties if we even get that or 10 minutes and then we're exploring something's nibbling it let him take it kind of doesn't seem like a catfish but the first two were catfish so i'd assume it's a catfish again [Applause] you'll never know i missed it kinda was acting different though yep i knew it i knew it maybe the senko might have been the play maybe we should still try the senko i bet this little dude would ate a senko two bass nice kept seeing the minnows get stirred up so i was like there's gotta be like some sort of thing at the surface that's not a catfish trying to eat stuff just got hit again maybe it's just a little bass bluegill it's a pretty one cool we're catching now starting to worry pretty dropped it sorry bluegill bud this water is kind of bluish too bluegill is extra blue as well maybe that's why all right well we're still going to switch sides because those fish were bigger but see what else we can pluck out of right here i figured there'd be fish by these rocks and i wasn't catching any fish by the rocks but now i am catching fish by the rocks so it all kind of makes sense again is that the same bluegill kind of looked like it definitely twins at the very least it's like every time it hits the water now [Applause] i'm falling all right i'm gonna poke at a few more of these and then we're climbing through said tunnel i'm already wet so might as well climb through and started going around you know you know you know you know all right i can't take it anymore let's go to the other side and see what's popping what is popping pretty sure we can catch bluegill at will here we've got about five more but let's climb under the tunnel see if we can't get some of those fish some of them look to be five pounds i still couldn't really tell what they were not sure if i'm gonna be able to effectively cast in the tunnel but i'm gonna try that's chilly chilly this is kind of cool never climbed through a tunnel before all right i'm going to shut up now we got to be stealthy [Applause] something's happening holy that's a big channel big channel big all right you guys have been asking forever the knot that i use to tie a hook on you go through and you go back through the same way give yourself a little tag in now you just take your loop and give it some spins it's just a snell knot but everyone says that i tie it weird maybe i do i'm not really sure but i feel like if you tie a snail knot any other way you're taking longer than you need to give it about five or six wraps and there you go finally did it you're welcome all right let's do that again he got out of this pool pretty quick so we might not have spooked everything we shall see they don't really got anywhere to go that's the other part of it i'm gonna set the hook a little bit quicker this time i thought i saw some guards so i just kind of let him take it but kind of wish i would have hooked it right away you never know got something [Applause] oh bud what are you some sort of carp friend but we're catching it under a damn highway oh bob's pissed get up here bud get up here bud get up here [Applause] no all right here we go not a bad one definitely fought a hell of a lot harder than the channel did i just don't know what i'm gonna do with him i guess we'll let him go down here just for the purpose of not spooking the rest of the fish in the top pool because the top pool seems to have bigger fish and we want to catch more fish out of it and you can tell these fish are hungry because this is the deepest i have ever hooked a cart [Applause] nope that's all right i saw that coming from a mile away it's gonna try to hold him but you guys have seen enough carp lately so oh well all right i think we're all pretty much getting the point so see if we can catch one or two more fish and then i'm gonna switch spots i think we saw all we're gonna saw out of that sea out of that pool but who knows i really wanted to catch some more bass because that first one was a damn nice one but this is fun too carp fought a hell of a lot harder i'll give him that and the channel was very unexpected when i walked over i did not see a channel so that was neat keep getting little bites i think they're bluegills that was a bullhead my little bullhead i'm just gonna walk up here and take a look i mean we've caught our fill pretty much so if we scoop them i guess it's not the end of the world i think there's bluegills as well as bull heads i'm just getting constant little pecker bites really want to get one more big fish and i'm giving up but if not i'm pretty pleased with how it went so give it like five more minutes and call it a day and stuff all righty little trapped fish buds i'll leave you alone but thanks for the good time i appreciate you buh-bye alrighty well basically to sum up the past hour is uh i wasted a lot of time trying to catch some gar that i saw and um some more carp but all i ended up catching was a bunch of bluegills and uh they just kept stealing my nightcrawler so i'm giving up but there is a giant snapping turtle that just went down right there luckily he didn't bite because that would have been a big old pain in the ass but yeah different spot like i said i've been here once before but i've never climbed through the damn tunnel and caught a fish and i've never climbed through a tunnel and caught a fish in my damn life so i thought it was kind of cool actually caught some pretty big fish and a bunch of different species bullhead bluegill bass catfish carp pretty standard for my channel but yeah it was fun but anyway if you like this video give this video a thumbs up leave a comment
