my god I this group I cannot get enough of these lambs this to me is a Christmas present just like I could watch that all day it is therapeutic [Music] you happy Christmas Eve day what's it mean when you wake up before your 4:00 a.m. alarm now that's weird this is probably something I'm gonna regret at 10:00 a.m. I have a few things going on today I have to meet my friend Virginia for Christmas coffee and give her her gift I have to wrap gifts I have to keep checking the barn I don't know I've got a lot of stuff let's go see if there are lambs okay I got to get this divider in because that one popped over that is not they're not Mary Padian go see your mom you know I'm fun no this one's not the right one okay I think this pen is good idea to get that divider up are you serious still moping these even Eleni nothing oh this one looks like she's dropped a little okay so one looks closely sure that's really close she's drought pink all right I'm a little ridiculous but I'm also a little bit resourceful I don't want to run to the shop to get the girl right now so I'm just going to do some makeshift barriers look at that tell you guys stay in your pen Mokey's Hey oh my bottle didn't I'm going to get it hopefully on the machine here in the lam lounge this morning you guys we've done nibbled away a little bit [Music] [Music] look at my spread mm-hmm this is Virginia this is why I come here lovely well I after getting spoiled by my friend Virginia to a really nice breakfast I made the crazy decision to kind of top up my ridiculous grocery bill this week and today Christmas Eve day don't don't do that I've never seen the grocery store so bit someone's actually walking their dog with their car I've seen everything now welcome to rural Ontario I literally bought all this stuff already this week but my kids ate in so that's a redo I'm just heading back now put groceries away and head back out to the barn to make sure everything is drinking and there is no baby lambs I've got visitors this burn brings out a lot of people because they like the babies Julia comes out every single time I have Lambs you got a favorite one Julia [Music] [Music] it's pretty good seeing a city girl in the country and lovin and right into it [Music] [Applause] [Music] you know what if you sit I bet you they'll get curious and they'll come back to you if you sit long enough but it's wet I know I could give you a piece of straw to sit on see ya it's got to be their idea yep and keep her made a friend [Music] we're getting there oh you say Jack that's a really good drafting job thank you did you wrap the cat the jello mold well you know I can't stay in the house all day no way I just wanted to come in and check how this bottle baby was doing characters Chris I said it wouldn't drink much for her and it's been running around in here you're all kind of jumping around so this is the one I would keep my it knows I'm looking at it now but they're all and I also had to come in in bed because raining in the morning every morning I still have to do this pen I am going through a lot of straw so I'm praying for a drier winter but we will see I also kind of made a decision on this the start of this new group here that I started the other day so there's a scene for the last six that land out of this group I was kind of thinking it would really just dovetail into the next slamming group it didn't happen that land leader still had to started so that means there's a good at least four days between the two and these guys were right behind this pen so in my opinion I would rather keep this whole group together with the ones that land at the same time because they're gonna all their bugs cycles like coxy cycles anything like that is gonna match the ones that land at the same time so instead of going by you know there's 55 in this group I have to I have to up it to like the 61 or whatever so it's not going to be an even fifty-fifty but I have a funny feeling about a lot of use in that group like I saw two today with no utters at all so I'm wondering if they've reabsorbed their pregnancies since Rebecca was here or perhaps they aborted like a month or so ago and I just didn't see it so there's just no utter and and for me even even if they lamb next week or the week after I should be seeing some other development and there's none and then there's three that have two that had stillborns and one that aborted when the roof blew off they're going to be uneven groups anyway and that's going to be a smaller group so I decided I'm gonna actually take this partition down that I mean the whole group will go to this divider now which was gonna anyway I still will have to make this pen even a little bigger but I really need to give these guys room to move as their lambing and I need they need future space too so these guys are gonna be pinched for another few days until these guys start lambing that makes me feel a little bit better just for the / feeling so congested on this side that gives them a little more square footage here oh my god I this group I cannot get enough of these lambs this to me is a Christmas present just like I could watch that all day it is therapeutic [Applause] they're doing really well so that's why I'm feeling pretty good I put the group together now okay I'm gonna do that stuff hockey [Music] [Music] just like we always do on Christmas Eve I take things out of a box I put them on a cookie sheet and I cook them for my family with love I still have the lights on in the barn I've been checking my nest cameras still no baby lambs I was hoping I'd have a Christmas Eve baby we're waiting for Jess she has to shower because she smells like a dairy cow right now cuz she just got home from milking cows so this is for her she loves Christmas Eve we all do it's just kind of our night to chill and celebrate each other and celebrate Christmas they had other people eat my cheese and crackers yet have you eat my cheese and crackers yet so the dog found my cheese tray all of it every last like that was a whole brick she's outside okay I redid the cheese board Happy's kids will she come she's scared to you oh you cans dizzy good man that's a girl come on yeah you know you were bad what'd you do did you eat all my cheese you're gonna have a short time [Music]
