I caught the one that got away! (Unbelievably lucky)

you know I'll just let you go well River Rats I'm probably gonna get wet and that's okay because we're pre front in lots of times that's when fish start mowing food down or you get skunked I found a way to get skunk doing about anything imaginable anyway whatever let's go fishing whoever hats a little shame to say I haven't fished this area yet this year partially because the walk sucks but mainly because the river conditions haven't been conducive to it been real muddy real mucky and I'm not a fan of fishing areas like that when you know when it looks like chocolate milk that actually doesn't look bad I might hit it on the way back I'd go as far as I want to go first and then push my way back so I do it the other way around I might not make it there yeah maybe they can progress Oh beavers getting after it now it starts to get fun the bank is giving away under my feet lovely there's much of is is annoying to you carry water made it and I'm so close I can taste it I bet you know I can't a bit of a taste bad muddy river water they're still making progress yay more brush yeah another steep Bank alright this should be fun it's fun it's an adventure yeah it's muddy just about there looks nice and mushy oh yeah oh yeah just about there it's not even that far it's just kind of a messy walk but it can be done it's less fun in the dark fewer wandering made it now it's time to cross this little pool and get set up and now it's starting to sprinkle my rain jacket oh alright now it's starting to do a little more than just sprinkle the hay that's why I bought a rain jacket and the other nice part is it keeps everybody else off their roof so I kind of get the run of the river to myself the fish have been finicky to say the least so live bait it is live dinner's all right we're all right or whatever wants to eat I guess we're being realistic about it let's let it fall and hit the bottom and then reeled up and there was a fish there you might hate it he did eat it miss a little Walter so let it sink all the way to the bottom and when I thought it was close to the bottom I lifted up and there he is kilo guy not eater size not that I'd be keeping them today with this walk in the rain how to here anyway but I feel there's a little bigger I bite I might I probably will need a new shiner though because he liked the shiner which means I like the shiner did you get a minnow basically that was nice another dinkar just tapped it sometimes a little walleyes turned into big walleyes though so get that possibility they're going their hunger action though there's just a little tap tap tap tap roof keep back I was almost like um should I set them look yes because guess what hook sets are free and free is my favorite word maybe next to catfish or walleyes or hybrids yeah free I guess isn't number one but it's I mean it's got to be up there somewhere this shiners seen better days time for a new in ah get back here such a balance because you don't ask wish them but you don't want them to get away so sometimes you don't get either I'm time you just squish them and they get away not this one this one's gonna turn into a 12 pound walleye how sick would that be though what the heck I reeled up really fast and look who decided to eat a shiner after I was snagged that's really weird huh yeah he uh he's not what I just figured I snagged a cart I did not snag a cart had mr. whiskers smack him a jig in his shiner I mean I guess it's basically just cut bait on a hook and sinker the hook and sinker attached together so it shouldn't be that much of a surprise but that fine-looking channel cat okay bye huh like this is a reoccurring theme good news this kitchen fish yeah but just deck such a fine balance do it now without taking your boot off or falling over I'll fell over yesterday one thing this rain is definitely gonna do is make that walk back a nice slippery adventure Society didn't get half hour without a bite and I just snagged so I think I'm gonna hit the road and get moving try something different well spot number two the walk back was about as fun as you'd imagine the rain was nice enough to let up while I drove around and check things out and ate food and then came right back soon as I get back to fishing be nice if there was bad eight pounder sitting here one on the bottom tossing one around can I cover all your bases that way at least that's the way I look at it hopefully the fish agree sir opinions really the only one matters that much for stuff like this it's a pretty impressive way to tangle up your line I make the impossible possible got it all right little buddy good luck just saw something boil up in here we have to make a stab at it over the tree all right we'll see what happens yeah play with fire line up burned we'll see you got me a little tap tap tap-a-roo to wake me up and it was nice so Luke oh man he's an ice cube another 20 of them sure would be sweet not big but they are mighty so they have that going for him I'm gonna make him do a cartwheel about did a cartwheel over that water bottle been embarrassing big hooks head on a white bass and then fall over here plunked it right by the bank yeah he it is gonzo yeah good look for him with that minnow stick it out his mouth I'll let you keep the shiner still working towards 20 but I love these dumb things they're not dumb you're not dumb I'm just kidding you're quite wonderful I like any fish with stripes so my shiners are looking like they could use a little refresh on the water don't really blame them they're crammed in there pretty good fresh drink the downfall of only bring in a stringer and no rope for the shiners as if I do want to keep anything my stringers occupied all right back at him barely felt him and that would be why I barely felt him because he's not exactly beastly but I ain't complainin just happy there's fish biting you never know when jumbo a Potamus shows up need another minute well he tattooed it a little bit better practice he's a little bit better I like that number four working our way to 20 I don't know why I want to catch 20 20 he just sounds like a nice number and the rain is back your wonder why's wearing sunglasses when it's raining it's because green lenses still cut the glare and they don't really darken your vision that much it would be sweet to see a 25 inch walleye follow my jig and men are in really sweet if that Sun would come out and get more I just lift it up and he was there he's very spirited Oh cuz it's not a white bass would be a smallmouth in all smallmouth are very spirited animals he's warmer than the other ones must been sitting up shallow ain't gonna complain about a smallmouth even a little fella like that mainly cuz yeah I'll just let you go that's all I have to say about that it's slippery well I was a pleasant surprise the smallmouth not so much me falling that wasn't quite as pleasant I'm okay I'm pretty durable for the most part plenty of bait life's good definitely gonna have to clean my bibs off very good when they hooked whatever is messing with me it's a white bass nope Molly please don't sweat have swallowed it sweet you did not swallow it he did get attacked by something though holy cow two small mouths didn't see that coming not gonna lie well there's my shiner is he doing shiner dude probably been better huh well once again another spirited little fella not exactly amazing quantity or quality but the quantity and type of fish hey a smallmouth and white bass or pretty high quality in my boat just know Jumbo's Weston's on his way no he okay sorry I liked the set line because then you get a bonus fish everyone smile come back finish the job it's up there we go good timing it looks like a another smallmouth maybe nope white bass you guys want to eat one yeah it's an it's in the back of his throat oh wow way in there come on just do it take it down weenie just got tired of it he's spirited angry he looks green is he of Smalley yep he sure is I have not caught a lot of them I've got more today than I have my life put together all right dude sorry about that pressure to set the hook earlier I was wondering where you were don't bite me off don't fall in the water I totally hate it right here earlier oh I'm slipping No everybody got him oh he did cut me off oh it's the same one I got my jig back no way I thought the one I lost was way bigger than oh my gosh that is nuts I thought he bit me off but my jig my actual jig that's connected to my line is right there what that is absurd my old jig earlier he did I'm only a mod Lee disappointed that he's not bigger this I thought he was really big when I lost him yeah I'm pretty pretty happy about it all right that is the fish that got away earlier today will be on a different video but I can't believe I got my jig back I would keep you but I don't want to clean you okay bye that is ridiculous I still can't believe that sorry I caught the northern that you were trying to catch yeah no we had not a lot of nutritional value to lead is there especially in California got something messing with me though not big apparently he was just that Hooksett huh he's all wrapped up in it come over here where it's easier to land him i bumped up to 14 pound lighter just for this reason ain't quite done I only put so much heat on him oh yeah whole barely hooked I sewed his beak alright so that was about the size the one that I thought I lost but I didn't lose this one I lost a dink and it turned to do a big fish story but that's pretty neat then he's all messed up like something tried to eat him so I don't know it'd be cool to catch that one to look it in how messed up he is we got in a fight you got actually it kind of looks like pad marks not even joking yeah look at that look at that yeah it looks like a big fly head she ID'd him plaids are the king of the river not even things with teeth should mess with them alright peace three times on a prayer lizard at the fair Oh walleye walleye attaboy I'm gonna cast over you catch another way that's like eater size yeah I want that one yeah I want cheesy poof's and I don't feel
