I Built A Pirate's Life in Lego

this is Sam silverbrick and he's a pirate and in this video he's going to be going on a ton of Adventures Our Story begins with Sam sailing the Open Seas but suddenly his Skipper sprung a leak so we're going to build some docks for him to sail to there you'll find a merchant selling Seafood for silver pieces another man is fishing patrolling the docks you'll find a collection of Imperial soldiers looking out for pirates this man is a magistrate making sure all the boats are paying fees and following regulations as his boat sank Sam sailed into the docks as he disembarked he looked up to see the greatest ship he'd ever seen which is what we're going to build right now to get some ideas I cracked open this DK Lego book which has some really cool builds for pirate stuff additionally it has this page that suggests a ton of parts for builds like these so with that in mind I gathered up a ton of my own parts that I thought would be useful for the boat's frame I use these large pieces and then floored the lower deck there you'll find four cannons that are spring-loaded and able to shoot these Lego cylinder pieces I added a jail for pirates that are captured on the Open Seas this dog has been trained to look after the keys this is a dining table where the Imperial officers can gather around to enjoy some fine cuisine to finish off the lower deck I added a weapons rack of muskets swords and Flint loock pistols as well as some bags and boxes of supplies that are able to store food and drink for the ship's long Journeys to move between the upper and lower decks I created a ladder using these bar pieces as well as this hatch so that it can be open or closed wrapping around the ship I added a bunch of wooden rail pieces this is the Captain's Quarters which is decorated with a ton of gold Parts it sits at the back of the boat inside you'll find a bed as well as a table there's this cool seant piece and a collection of treasure maps over the Captain's Quarters you'll find the ship's steering wheel the next thing I added were these giant masks that hold the ship's brickbuilt sails they are supported with these cool rigging pieces for final details I added this golden statue to the front of the boat an anchor that can be raised and lowered on a chain and one final Cannon for front-facing attacks now back to the story looking up at the ship Sam had an idea when the coast was clear he launched his scheme officers this vote is in violation of code 1742 of his Royal Majesty's decree uh okay I must board immediately chopping the cords free from the dock Sam took control of the ship realizing they were duped the soldiers tried to stop him but it was too late and Sam was already off to see in his new ship and he knew just where to find a crew Redbeard's Tavern home to the most famous pirate of all time Captain Redbeard and his gang of Scallywags I started by building up an island for the tavern and set up a cobblestone stairway that leads up to the entrance on the other walls I use these cool great pieces to make some oldstyle windows this staircase spins in a way that's really satisfying and it leads up to the roof up there I added an additional room inside it you'll find a bunk bed where some sleepy Pirates can nap I built a balcony with these vent pieces turned upside down these old style chairs are perfect for this group of pirates counting the treasure from their latest raid this Crow's Nest allows the Pirates to watch for any unexpected guess on the shingles I added a set of skull and crossbones for some extra color I added a few palm trees scattered on the beach you'll find oysters and seashells like this one that has a pearl inside of it moving to the inside of the tavern you'll find this green cabinet full of pirate concoctions as well as a bar where patrons can eat and drink in the corner you'll find this bed made of straw for Captain Redbeard's dog spaz he's been training to take care of any unwanted company sick [Music] them Sor you're a good little spaz in the corner there's a table withed red Beard's pet goldfish and a treasure map arriving at the tavern Sam explained his situation to Redbeard and as he told the story they realized they each had a piece of the same treasure map one that led to the legendary cursed Treasure of Blackheart the cruel the most evil pirate to ever sail the seven seas using Sam's ship and Redbeard's crew they vowed to hunt for the treasure together the crew got to work some scrubbed the decks others armed the battlements Flint navigated with this cool Compass to have some fun during the voyage they even gathered up some instruments and formed a [Music] band the next build is the cave of blackhe heart's treasure so I started by building a dark and for boting entrance to it and I added some creepy trees coming up out of the water around it the ship was too big to sail inside of the cave so the crew had to man some smaller robots to make their way inside as they sailed in they didn't realize it was infested with bats for the inside of the cave I built a giant moat that circles an island to get there you can cross this stone bridge but be careful because it has a trap door there's a cool waterfall that feeds into the moat there's a secret room that's full of glittering crystals and gyms that are so rare they can hardly be given a price however the cave is a treacherous place but even worse there's a horde of vicious vampire bats they pre upon anyone seeking blackhe heart's treasure on the center island is the throne where you'll find the skeletal remains of Blackheart himself self his crew surrounds him scattered throughout the cave but we can't forget the treasure his Untold Fortune surrounds his decrepit body and that of his crew left untouched for hundreds of years to make the scene even more creepy I brought back the trusty humidifier it helps to make everything feel more ominous and spooky Sam and the rest of the Pirates paddled their way into the cave and began to rumage through all of the treasure filling their pockets and boats with all that they could carry but they made quite a racket in the chaos a glowing gy caught Sam's eye unable to resist he pulled it from the stone but as he gazed at it the entire cave shook in Terror the bats fled bewildered the crew looked around suddenly bones began to crack black heart was alive with a flaming sword he struck the crew [Music] fleeing back to the boats they ran for their lives those who made it were the lucky ones and they were able to escape with some of the treasure that they would evenly split according to the pirate code however that night as they slept greed consumed oneeyed [Music] Jim jolting awake Flint sprung into action catching him red-handed the commotion woke the other Pirates Who all knew what the punishment would have to be walking the plank at sword point they forced him onto the rickety board as if on Q the Sharks arrived for their snack nope nope nope and that was the end of oneeyed gy this Lego shark is really cool because it's big enough to fit an entire minifigure inside of its mouth which is something that the older Lego sharks weren't able to do as the crew sailed on they believed everything was fine not realizing they had just entered the Waters of a legendary seab beast the Kraken the most fearsome monster in all of pirate lore Krakens usually have about a million teeth so that was a detail I wanted wanted to include and it looks pretty creepy then I stole some legs from the octopus that I built for this video I gave it these creepy eyes and added as many tentacles as I possibly could around its head each of them can be adjusted and it ended up making the Kraken look like Davey Jones which I thought was a pretty good match Victorious over the monster the pirat set sail for a new island to call home where they would hide and protect their treasure referencing this set I built this skull that's actually a secret entrance I then made this stable with a thatched roof where the Pirates keep old Bessie who surprisingly has UTS built into the fort is this door that uses a great piece so that the Pirates can see anyone approaching at the back there's a secret sliding door for emergency escapes on the Beach I used this door piece to create a dock for the Pirates to fish then I built up a tower that has multiple levels to get to the top you'll need to climb this rope ladder made using arms from battle droids inside the tower there's a memorial plaque with the kraken's arm on the next level there's supplies and tools like shovels for building sand castles while Flint is practicing his sword skills on this wooden dummy on the catwalk there are some catapults to defend the fort after building their new home Sam and the Pirates decided to sit back and relax until their next adventure would call them back out to se thank you all so much for watching I made this video as a tribute to
