I built a keyboard BLINDFOLDED...

mechanical keyboard blindfolded why because i'm stubborn and petty roll the footage a friend of mine hits me up he says glasses i want to build a custom keyboard how hard is it to which i said bro building a keyboard is incredibly easy to which he said huh really which i said found at this point i could build a keyboard with my eyes closed to which he said wow you should just do that i'll do it look at how smug he is do you think he'd think he bested me i can't have that so i made up my single goal to prove to him that i could do it by building a keyboard blindfold yeah it sounds so stupid when i say out all right first thing stabilizers most people mod their stabilizers by cracking them open applying some lubricant to reduce rattle and increase smoothness okay this is a this is a 2u needed but you have to get them in the right place that feels like i got it no you put it into a switch i know what you can do okay so using your left hand feel the edge of the board until you feel from the right of the board when you feel a small bump where the bump stops that's the middle of the stabilizer below the number row there's like a flexi cut that they've made in the pcb it goes through the pcb do you feel it yeah so on the right side of the end of that that is where the first stabilizer hole is yeah that exactly that dead-on uh to the right a bit more right right right come on he's [Music] now came the time to snap my individual key switches into a plate this would support them and align them not like that thing we did before the thing i need to get here right this is you attach the plate to the pcb you have to make sure that the switch pins these things go straight through the holes on the pcb and don't get bent in the process something doesn't feel right here and i couldn't put it back in oh no oh no no don't leave the room give my fall down at the time i thought this would be the worst part of the build but i was incredibly wrong it just oh you gotta watch this because the next thing on the list was okay guys do you know what time it is it was time to solder the switches to the pcb this involves guiding solar wire into a small hole whilst heating up your switch pin and pad with a 350 degree soldering iron 300 i don't know what it is in fahrenheit like 730 for you american folk but it's hot it's very hot if the soldering iron touched my skin consider it cooked consider it burned i was about to wear a portable oven aimed at my fingers blindfolded who's ideal for this video this is so stupid oh oh it's going down all right this is the part
