I built a home on water in The Sims 4

so i don't know about you guys but i could really do with a vacation right about now it's been a tough couple of years it's been a day actually so um as you can see by the hood but anyway i thought you know what i may feel like a vacation so why not build my dream vacation house in the sims 4. this is the house i'm using as inspiration i found it on pinterest i think it looks pretty cool so this is sulani love love love this world it's a very beautiful world but i actually don't play in it that often because the gameplay in this pack i wasn't really thrilled with i mean you can watch my reviews for that uh that's he but aside from the gameplay this is like one of the most beautiful worlds in the sims 4 and it is really nice to go to like this water is so clear it just makes me think how nice it would be to go somewhere like this in real life like are there places in the world that has water this crystal clear i mean there probably are places in australia actually i just have never been to them like far up north far up north might far up north and down under okay so this is like the main chunk we'll call it it should be a little wider the other thing is we can't actually put roofs on top of platforms and we also can't have pools over water so we're a little bit restricted in the build in that sense let's move it back a little bit now it's going to look a little bit boxy whilst we're working on it and actually i just realized in the picture they do have a slight gap between the buildings so technically we could actually do a separate foundation height but we still need to make sure that the stairs can make it back down to the other foundation oh oh so we could do this kind of a thing oh that looks i don't think it's gonna let us come on maybe it needs more space do you need not no it's just like how you do that okay tossed the ideas tossed everyone so i guess we can have like a little a little walkway and maybe this can be like the master bedroom cabana i feel like it's very wide and sprawling bring that out close this in and then it's got like a little sheltered area under here we'll call it the hood pull that across whoops like that oh my gosh i feel like i'm being timed right now for some reason i'm doing like a speed build in real time that's actually a cool concept for her video you should do that james real time speed build that's just like any other timed build challenge that oh actually that's true i didn't think of it being the same thing i wish we could put the pool out here i mean we can make a hole in the ground that's a pool like a hole in the ocean that's probably the best i can do now we have a diagonal room coming up here and this is definitely definitely inspired by one of my favorite builds that james has done which was like an island build in the sims 3. his sim a luna's house in ireland paradiso those were the good old days of the sim supply remember that guy oh these are very square roof pieces so really this should probably be smaller like some like squares or more like that maybe and then on this side oh we have to make up the back ourselves it's going to be hard might bring this platform up a bit to tuck in that roof nicely and yeah and oh oh my gosh unfortunately like i said we can't place the roofs on top of the platforms like in the picture the shamwow i'm actually thinking these would look so much better connected i don't like this little walkway okay that's starting to take shape and then over here we also have some decking that comes out on the side but the sides are open which i love this look so airy and breezy and beautiful also sometimes the easiest thing to do is to just turn this into a room separately with walls in order to create the floor tiles there you go it's a lot easier than like getting different pieces and trying to piece it together i really wish we could put the roofs on foundation oh well can we connect these i wonder whoops no well let's maybe make or turn this into its own party over here let's lower this oh no i can't do that okay what we'll have to do is increase this i think out the back i'll create like a little mini jetty where you can park jet skis on i just really really felt like watching what a girl once i kind of made the mistake of not having enough space at the back of the lot like i didn't leave enough i mean i can move the house a little bit more forward actually maybe what we can do is put the little jetty over on this side there we go and then maybe at the back just here this is where we can do that like pool area but it's not really a pool a hole in the deck i would love to go to the maldives and stay in one of these kinds of places comment down below if you've ever been to a place where you've stayed in like a hot on the water that you always see on like those getaway tv programs the tide's a little low but i also kind of like that actually you know what i don't think this is gonna work we can't put a ladder in we'll just do another little like private deck okay now it looks pretty bad because it just looks like weird gray blocks but i think once we put in the stilt foundation it'll start looking a lot better oh thank gosh that just changes it completely now it actually looks like it should be here and then i like putting in these white foundations as well change the roofs what's going on in here something's struggling oh no the roof trims not working wait it's like glitched all around it oh okay let's use this white wallpaper this is from the moroccan kit very like beach holiday villa s you know what i think i'm just gonna take off the white blocks because it's just the roofing's all kind of scarfed i don't know what's happening to my beautiful island build this is the only problem when you try and copy things that you see online because sometimes it just doesn't translate to the game or alternatively we go the other way where we keep the white blocks and we ditch the nice roofs we could make it a bit more interesting by putting on these extra roof pieces okay that just looks really stupid forget that idea you guys forget i haven't mentioned it oh i know we could cut a hole in the roof or we could put those glass tiles in these crystal clear roof tiles i forgot about this yeah these are pretty cool and the other good thing is you can put them in the floor as well so you can like look down to the ocean the only thing is it kind of intersects with the stilts we could put it here in the main area because i don't think that is on stilts in there i'm not sure at least i can't see them i don't know what realistically should go on the roof like obviously concrete but that's so like harsh maybe just these like a sandy color blue like the ocean it blends in okay i'm really not sure how i feel about this i'm really hoping that when i add some doors and stuff to it it'll just kind of start looking good so i definitely think these doors from eco lifestyle would be perfect because they're nice and big and sliding i mean i thought when these came out it was the best day of my life i love these i suppose we can kind of have them on or in every part of this build too so there's heaps of glass looks like gonna have to change these decks a little bit too bit awkward i really like the idea of building our own steps like this instead of having the actual stairs i just feel like they look really nice and i really hope when we start doing the floor plan it doesn't ruin all of the platforms which we will soon find out okay no now those steps are kind of built in oh and we can build in another set over here uh what will look best i'll just draw a box like this then you take it down a notch and you delete this yay perfect nice and actually maybe we should extend that oh that does look sleek very sleek oh i love these open windows with the slats on them they just have big holiday vibes let's put lots of these in love it it's still looking very like boxy and kind of harsh what if we did like one of these roof lines where we just open up this whole area and maybe this center piece has thatching on it i also have some windows from the organic pack by felix andre and harry that have these big windows i mean maybe we could even utilize them and you just kind of go down in size like this or those little corner pieces here they are but then i feel like we need to have the other doors ooh now we're talking okay this has turned into cc central which i know some of you guys don't like but then some of you guys will love okay that looks pretty good oil core say whoa okay this belt has seriously taken a different a different turn okay guys i don't know what happened i've just i just kind of stopped filming and and took this in a whole other direction um now it's like a wave hut i mean i think it looks nice you know today's been an interesting build it's just kind of changing every five minutes but i like it i like it is it my favorite build probably not would i stay here on a vacay absolutely and that really was the challenge we assigned for our video today oh good lord what's happening over here you have a missing wall and there's some funny i was about to say there's some funny things going on here but it's literally the object i've stuck into the wall so that's what that is oh my goodness me let's maybe put some windows on either side of this oh oh they're too big here we go that's better all right so now we're up to the furnishing part the other thing that i'm not happy with is that we have these like wooden planks all around the water floor tiles so i do want to have all of the foundations tilted and i just can't get my mouse underneath hello oh i got something then oh that was a good one okay does anyone else do this and they're like help me yeah you gotta be kidding me do i actually have to oh i can click on top of it you think i've never built in the sims before that's awkward oh so these actually line up really well oh but there's gaps above these okay we can't do this you guys i'm not doing it now i thought it would be cool to kind of have a corridor here and a step up to it that goes into maybe the master wing over here or maybe there's like two wings you can stay in so you can stay with some friends this is just looking like a bathroom over here i think we could maybe put the bed here bring this down i mean i do feel like they deserve to have their own private balcony and maybe this can be like a bathroom situation just in here you know one day i'm gonna request that james recreates his luna build i feel like he's not gonna do it though but it would be the best present ever and he just happens to be right next to me but i think he's very nice cancelling headphones okay i think the best i can do with this floor plan is we keep this more open oh my gosh look how high this floor is imagine having to step over that to go to the toilet not ideal so we have a bathroom in here that that door goes into and then what's the door situation over here we have a full door like this that can go into this bedroom yeah i think that's nice and i mean you still get this view out the window which is gorgeous and your private balcony we wouldn't say they're roughing it whoever's staying here which would be me and then in here we have our living area so i was kind of thinking you could have like a main bathroom in the middle this and then you have like one side a lounge room one side a kitchen over um now that i'm looking at it because we have bathrooms for each of the bedrooms i don't know if we need to do that or we can just turn this into the main bathroom and an ensuite that's probably the easiest well i say let's just go for it let's just put a kitchen in and i guess we're using custom content today because we really got stuck without it and i'm gonna make this into a beautiful big generous kitchen you know we're gonna have the stunning cabinets oh i've always wanted to use this kitchen bench in a build and finally we can the hey harry brown storm collection i mean look at that and then just wait for it better we've got an add-on piece to this bench love it yeah i would love to stay here oh i might use the todd's kitchen splashback you can merge the two together oh we could stack some of these these are from the brown string kitchen oh actually let's use this or these as like a tv cabinet situation you know what i changed my mind actually think these counters are going to go better this on top of it and get the brown stern hub actually we'll do both actually no we'll do the bean kitchen okay so we got that got that what am i missing we should change the texture of this because it technically doesn't match that marble perfectly and you know as much as i kind of love the brown i just feel like for a beach house it's a little a little dark in another house i'd like it though but not for this house oh wow this fits beautifully into this okay what else do we need in the kitchen as i like to call it the kimchi i tell you what furnishing is so much easier than building it's like a breath of fresh air getting to this point swing seats i'm gonna use these cute organic stools um i think they look really sweet and then we can have like the full dining table over on this side i love this dining table by sixsim i feel like we need a big one that's quite nice i think we should just go the whole brownstone set by harry like it just goes together so nicely and it's just beautifully made i'm really wanting to use all of these very earthy colors but really have to just step back and think no we want to go light beachy breezy beachy breezy and bright these are beachy oh oh my gosh the living rum chairs whoa whoa they're just looking a little heavy with the bar stools as well you know what maybe i'll just grow these and just do like an old white look with a nice rug underneath we'll just go the organic rug so basically just download all of hey harry's stuff and she'll be able to download this belt i feel like if miranda priestley was here she'd be like blue for a sea house how groundbreaking but it really does suit it and it really does look good what about green if you're looking for some ceramics for your game uh prsm the earthcast collection has some really nice ceramics okay i think the kitchen's basically done we might put a dishwasher in might do a matching dishwasher to the stove so this is the bean kitchen as well uh but i'll link all these cc creators in the description down below or at least i'll try and do the best i can maybe a personal brewer i kind of like it being really minimal in here actually i mean if it's a holiday house no it's not like you're going to have heaps of belongings in here and it's not going to be like super lived in turn these cabinets into a tv cabinet whoa should we do a massive tv i feel like a big tv is kind of inappropriate in a place like this maybe we'll do the living room painting tv because it is a tv but it looks like a painting i got this new couch from peacemaker the myra living so far and i just thought this looked so good this is like the basic couch i kind of wish we had in the base game oh i also haven't tried this one this is the living room mini kit by pierre-ism this is another really nice one too they're kind of similar but very different so this one's got a modular feel to it maybe we'll go with this one all right just use a living room classic table that's very beachy looking it kind of looks like wood that's washed up on the beach i think this is perfect oh my gosh these get to work items fit in so well it can be the manual that they always leave at a hotel okay i think that's a really good like open plan living area and i think for the bedrooms we'll also keep those very very simple and matching maybe how the beds are kind of all the same so this room can be the green room and then the other room over here can be the red room no no no not the red room what about like a pinky room or a yellow oh orange yeah orange is cool i think the orange goes with the blue roof it's just like one feature wall one or two feature walls so it's not too much they always have really simple like dresses to put your clothes on well that one's a little high something lower but this one's my absolute favorite this one's by little dicker this is the delicate garment straw that there my favorite cheer curtains that i use in almost every build these are from the bathroom pack again by harry and felix andre okay guys this is the completed lot and i ended up changing the outside the pergolas to the jardine ones just because we've kind of gone with a lot of hey harry cc i figured that was kind of easier to download if we stuck to mostly one cc creator for you guys but i think the pagolas work really really well and it's kind of that edition we really needed for the exterior to look super super nice but i would totally go here i like it now it took me a while to get there you guys so let me know in the comments down below what you think and of course as always i'm going to give you the grand tour okay so here's the entrance with the fireplace and the lounges not a bad view if you're sitting on that sun lounge so you have the lounge area when you walk in and then i also used the spoon and fork wall art from island living and this is the kitchen which i love as well a beautiful dining table with a fruit offering on it this is like the second bedroom down the hallway that's a mistake and here is the red room let me know in the comments down below would you take the red room or the green room so this is the red room read into that as you will there's also a hot tub out here which is pretty epic i would love to sit here and then through here is the main bathroom and i just love this view with the greenery cascading down across the water i think that's so pretty the bathroom's very minimal because we love minimal this is just another casual sitting spot casual view have a coconut cocktail there this is the deck from the main area so there's the jardin barbecue and there's also this like nice sitting area and this is the other entrance with the hallway some nice traditional art here's the front deck love it oh by the way those floating swans these are by sixsome i love those and then this is the green room i would like the green room because i like cool colors where i relax and where i sleep and i just think it's very like floaty and nice love the traditional artwork on the wall and then the bathrooms really like low lit then we have our jet skis and our boat that's basically it you guys so let me know what you thought let me know what you would like to see next in my build and as always i hope you're
