I Bought the WORST 1969 Plymouth ROAD RUNNER that's Rolled, Wrecked, and Burned — JUNKYARD ADVENTURE

[Music] we are off to great bend kansas to go see chad over at nobody's auto we are going to trade this piece of crap car for another piece of crap car we're gonna tour the junkyard and all kinds of good stuff so stay tuned folks cause i'm sure old blue will make it there with no problems nothing not zero [Music] first fuel stop it's running the whole truck's doing pretty good so far i don't even know how far we've come so use 10 gallons of gas so let's do some calculations just fill it up till it starts coming out the neck we come about 93 miles 10 gallons it's about 9 miles of a gallon i'll take that out of a big block any day we'll go grab some grub and hit on the road again we saw the trunk flopping and we thought that the strap had fallen off that's okay though uh this is how it was tied down here we go problem solved sure man this is a nice car [Music] we're about halfway there other than being beaten to death and my brain has vibrated loose from my spine everything's going good warm [Music] it's a teardrop hood scoop from like a thunderbolt yeah some on a dodge truck [Music] good lord straight eight buick [Music] you know just bolt your roll bar together with carriage bolts you'll be fine [Music] that's a cutlass with hearse t-tops those tops are worth more than the car this must be a pontiac thing i got the motor out of that 60 running though huh some assembly required 69 plymouth road runner 383 four-speed car and it's a piece of crap it's been rolled wrecked on fire but you know what we're gonna make it live again well it's still here in the morning unfortunately we're gonna check out and we're gonna head on back to chad's and it's still enough maybe we can get a drone in the air on this beautiful sunny day this wheel is very well attached no problems we're gas or fuel pump died i haven't even looked under here since we left looks like we're spraying some oil probably need to check that [Music] but uh i brought five gallons let's dump that in hey i knew i brought this for a reason it died as soon as i rolled into the gate fuel filter is totally empty right out of cash as i roll through the gate when was last time before selena about 120 miles or so driving around town here that's pretty bad buzz over roadkill customs is looking for a project and he's trying to get this one off a chat 72 that's cool pretty solid old truck looks like somebody worked cows with it well chad pleasure doing business with you thanks dalton glad you made it out yep and uh thanks for that thanks hey it's got a good headlight visual on it it doesn't it has a really nice dress in that left headlight diesel if i have to sell that headlight bezel to fund the rest of the car i will and it oh it's got quarter windows in it it does have cord and one wing window actually they had a spare in the trunk of at least 20 ahead no really he worked with us pretty good here to get this thing and uh kudos for sure and if you need anything just call up chad and nobody's auto salvage nobody else is auto nobody else's auto if you just google nobody's audio it pops up because that's what i've been searching and uh yeah give them a call if you need anything odd specific things you've got a pretty good shot at getting any ships all over the place so however i am currently out of rolled 69 roadrunners he's all out i bought the last stock and that he had a bunch of them you know but now beauty right here is all yours this is optional burned too you know they don't they don't make them like this anymore you know this is this was a limited run but and you now own it great i i saw your face light up oh sadly yes my face i'm sure it displayed exactly what i was thinking yeah i think it did explain display exactly what you're thinking [Music] oh like oh great why yeah i get to do this again well but look just like when we were putting the tires and wheels on this thing this fender has the optional lug nut holder it does actually you can and that's it doubles as any kind of engine hardware anything you need you can just put it right there you don't need those little magnetic trays you have to worry about drop it you just drop it right there in the fender and that's not chinese harbor freight matt you know no no this is this is american steel bolt holder right there yeah you just you can't just go buy that you know that's custom plus you've got the super cool mopar in the record well yes and that was pretty much the only selling point of the car but but it is awesome in every way [Music] i need a quarter extension if any of you guys have one bumper's pretty decent on it actually been towed once back there but it's kind of shiny it is you know that was weird the gto's bumper was also weirdly in good shape so you're into buying bumpers is that what you're saying i'm into buying attached to ass into the car looks good that's it a little filler down here i don't okay a lot of filler down here that's okay just don't hit any bumps or that i wish you could put a little more in there to hold it on there sure sure a little expandable foam that actually that inner quarter is surprisingly scary really you look right here no it's just dense that's not rust damn i don't know we can do something with it though so first priority is obviously get a meet me porn obviously it needs nothing else but what i should focus on is buying a meet me porn well we're in great bend we're about to hop back on the road filling up with gas so we don't run out again i'll fill the cam back up too but we're gonna jump back to it we're gonna hit the road we're gonna hope it's as trouble free as the way here was you ain't gonna hope that i know so you want to see it break down and you might get lucky who knows got the roadrunner on the back substantially lighter than the fury so that should help out old blue here but uh grandpa's riding right along with us in it and uh he's keeping a watchful eye wish me luck [Music] [Music] it doesn't fit also the passengers yeah apparently when you load these backwards i didn't want to lose this quarter glass [Music] the other one's latched but this one doesn't have the latch do i have zip ties what kind of question is that my god are you some kind of nasa scientist you know this could be permanent boom oh my god it's a tourniquet for a plymouth [Music] first field stop on the way back nothing to report temp gauge is kind of wigging out but i think it's just a temp gauge that's what we'll tell ourselves this is working well probably should remedy that it's just the strap no fun no drama problemo salvo this one looks okay still here good old truck man travel plaza wow it's very fancy on the road again going places where i've sometimes been i walked in the bathroom it smelled horrible in there i was like jd you guys just do that in the urinal [Music] fuel stop number two on the way home i don't know where we're at somewhere west at topeka temperature gauge quit working i knew something was up that but uh just keeps on humming man i don't know but so far luck continues it got really cold here like it's like 30 degrees i can see my breath outside i don't know what happened oh god it's over 50. 60. oh god oh we cut that way too close on the road again yep it's still back there [Music] we're pretty close to home so uh let's celebrate with some trailer burnouts [Music] [Music] we're back totally uneventful all blue just powered on through except for two miles up the road this brake caliper the hubcaps warm but on the back side of it the brake caliper is stuck so that caliper is on its way out and i'll have to replace a measly brake caliper 600 miles and a 40 year old truck with a big block and a carburetor and no fancy techno gadgets no wizardry nothing what she lacks in sophistication she makes up for in sheer toughness and that's just how these things were built they just keep going and they don't give up that's pretty much what we do around here too so you're going to see that soon we're going to do jd's car first but we'll be alternating that with the rolled rudder if you want to see more stuff like this if you want to see more
