I Bought A Wrecked 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Carbon From Auction And Im Going To Rebuild It

we're about to be bidding on it guys 2020 shelby gt500 let's see if we can win this thing 31.5 right now i'm standing at and everything for our friend on the youtuber oh yeah all right here we go georgia i was shaking guys i was literally shaking that's crazy that's crazy get ready get ready we have rebuilt a lot of cars on our channel and we started off by rebuilding a 2017 mustang gt then we got a 2018 mustang gt after that we rebuilt a 2017 727 horsepower supercharged mustang roush p51 which was an amazing rebuild there's only 51 of those in the world but now we absolutely upped the game we just bought a 2020 mustang shelby gt500 760 horsepower let's go to florida and pick it up so a little update guys uh we have a few hours left to drive we drove we drove out about 3 a.m in the morning 4 am actually woke up at 3 30. and about a few more hours about 3 and a half hours left to drive hopefully we'll get there soon i'm super excited we got some more diesel so truck is looking good everything is driving good and hopefully make it there and back safe and i'm super excited for this car guys i've been trying to get one as soon as they came out and finally we got one and we can rebuild this thing so catch you guys when we get our coat part and we'll see what we even bought how bad the damage is so catch you guys we'll get there [Music] so [Music] should be pulling up oh it's right here the destination is on your right 70 all right copart no one's here we should get loaded pretty quick honestly really small lot that's what we want no one is here literally no one so this is a good thing this is a good thing all right so guys we made it here to copart uh in florida so let's go inside and uh pay for the car and then pick it up get all the paperwork and hopefully they take it out and everything is good with them we can get it loaded up and take it home so i'm gonna go inside get everything taken care of catch you guys in a minute guys we got the wheel brought out here he just brought it out the wheel is cracked but all the components are looking good and there's the car the car's coming guys the car is coming oh man i'm excited i'm really excited front forward front forward let me put the block under there so it doesn't lay down fully lower down [Music] so [Music] so whew guys i don't remember the last time i was sweating because of the winter up there but man this is awesome guys check out these wheels full carbon fiber wheels one wheel is damaged but we're gonna have to figure something out with that but man the other three are in amazing condition this right here i don't have it tight and crazy crazy because i don't want it to scratch the wool which it's not going to kind of holding the bumper in place here because the bumper the bumper i think is actually stable but like come over here to this side the exhaust is ripped out here the whole entire side is damaged this is a lot of damage guys imagine this is how wide the quarter was good three three to four inches in and it's got a lot of work but here right here is the good part if you look here none of the frame is damaged just like the well inside and that shouldn't be a problem to change out and the door here common sense you know the and then the front front here is where we come to that whole side swipe this wheel this has really really light scuffs but you know that's okay it's a full carbon fiber wheel it's gonna be perfect and right here we go to the front we got some major frame damage but you know we did something like this on our blue one and it turned out amazing but the aprons look like they're okay so it would just be the frame section this frame looks like it probably well they both need to be cut from way back there and we make it this side as well check this out this side is damaged all the way the cell frame is pushed down so the whole entire front end needs to be taken apart and the motor probably needs to be dropped as well this is going to be an insane rebuild see this carbon wheel right here is a brake rotor and caliper this looks huge guys look at this the caliper is apparently my research is 16 and a half inches that's a huge caliper here's the rear right here as you can see the rear wheel is actually cracked but you know it's something you can you should go with when getting a wheel ripped out like this but the good part is we have the whole knuckle assembly brembo and then uh well the control arms are all damaged but the knuckle assembly itself looks like it should be good so luckily they have that the guy was amazing he loaded the car up amazing as well really really careful he knew what this was and he brought out the wheel separate as well just to be careful with all the components and i'm really glad that they didn't put the wheel inside because that would have damaged a lot of pieces uh inside you know potentially like the seats you know the dashboard and luckily they didn't do that it was just laying to the side and turned out awesome so come over here this is awesome guys we have been looking to get one for the longest time ever since they came out and what can be better than getting a smacked one and rebuilding it for you guys sharing the whole entire process so this car has to be completely taken apart and that's gonna be really fun because we've already rebuilt a few of them and we know a lot about these cars but this car is a whole other level guys so let's go ahead check out the interior all right let's hop in here and check it out first time in a gt500 check this out carbon fiber it's that power no power this is nice guys this is where carl bucket seats all the airbags are blown and as you can see right here check it out the inside actually isn't pushed in all of the panels look like they're in really good shape so it's looking really really good very excited we'll get it turned on should have 625 miles 20 20 shelby gt500 track pack this is insane guys this is going to be a really really fun rebuild so let's load up that wheel we have about a seven hour drive home let's head home this is an awesome build i wanted a regular gt500 but somehow it came around on a trackpad carbon fiber and this is awesome it's going to be one of a very challenging rebuild but it's going to be a lot of a lot of fun the sub frame rear sub frame looks like it's in good shape but the exhaust is ripped out so we have to find a new exhaust for it so the parts aren't too expensive quarter panel looks like it's the same as the regular mustang the door as well let's look over here to make sure yeah the quarter definitely looks like it's from a regular mustang and that should not be a problem to find so we got her loaded up and let's head back home so guys i just made a quick stop made sure the car is still strapped in everything is good looks amazing the hood got a strap right here on the hood as well so it doesn't flap around and everything looks good nothing loosened up still got about four and a half hours to five hours left to drive man it looks absolutely beautiful guys let's keep driving and make it home [Music] all right filling up for the last time the car is still nice and secure it's not going anywhere over here at bucky's about to go inside buy a couple things and then almost done filling up and then we should be home here in a few hours so catch you guys don't get back well guys we made it back but it's raining right now so we'll take a look at the car tomorrow probably once it warms up and get a better look at it made it home safe so we'll check it out tomorrow all right guys so it's the next day gave us a little bit of snow last night super super cold today but we're about to unload the car and look more into all the damages i gave you guys a brief look we haven't really gotten the interior we haven't turned the car on or anything man guys look at these carbon wheels they're absolutely beautiful the carbon wing this is awesome guys so let's go ahead and turn the truck around grab the forklift and unload it and see how all the damages we have but first thing right away i see that the subframe is damaged right there i don't think it reached a motor the motor sits pretty far back but all this little pieces you know all these coolers and everything you got at all which shouldn't be a problem to rebuild the frame itself looks like it's actually the same from a regular mustang all they have is like this bracket right here goes from the top this is to the fender the top this bracket goes down here and then the other bracket comes from over here from the cell frame for the coolers that's it on the side so it seems like this probably should be a pretty straightforward rebuild here on the front but once we come to the side over here is where the main damage comes at luckily the frame looks like it's okay the frame isn't touched but all the like inner structure has damaged so we're gonna have to be really careful and really you know cut it all out put new new quarter pieces into it and there's gonna be a lot of work done here a lot of work to be do to be done and super excited for this guy so let's turn the truck around and finally finally unload it [Music] yeah did you buy we bought something special something special you pay for this two two door car 50 grand 48. man 50 grand no way hey it's for them it's for them we're doing it this is going to be an awesome rival guys hey guys look at this 625 miles brand new car brand new car wasn't even broken in yet and at the end of the video i'm going to post up some pictures on how it was when it wrecked when it flew off the road so it's pretty cool it's going to be pretty cool yeah it's going to be a really fun run i like it i want a couple more straps to take off i have to put some hot water on them because they're just frozen so cold they're frozen but we're gonna go ahead and unstrap it all the way and then we can unload and take a better look at it you get it here it's gonna be better [Music] i told you i don't know how people live up north especially in summertime how cold it is here you might consider this sun yeah today it's too cold i just came from from the south florida where i was in a sweat and to having a jacket on and being cold yeah before new year i picked up some car from florida in pennsylvania so uh up from uh north to down the south you know a different big difference oh yeah guys look under the car right now the rack companion looks good that's a really big plus so basically you just need a subframe and then these bars over here that's clean under here check this out over here it literally hit right beside and then it touched the motor or anything right there that is nice nice [Music] [Music] so [Music] oh look at this guy's pick-up sentence no sensors no sensors don't need it don't need it here we go guys she is now unloaded and man it looks so good this carbon right here is incredible the weave on the bump on the wing it just makes it look so much better guys that looks so good all right let's go ahead and open this hood up haven't opened the hood really want to take a look what's inside under the nice this is our first time looking under the hood we have not looked under here yet it seems like it did pick up the motor a little bit though nothing is touched no yeah it aprons are okay look at this the aprons look good that apron looks good let's see awesome there's still a lot of good pieces here you can reuse this reservoir no no jlt intake this is a hand tape all right here check this out guys so they did rip one of the belts right here look even this thing is good but it did rip on the belt the main pulley belt is okay you see the blower right there it's looking really really good no damage there at all the motor looks like mostly impact from this side right there and this is where that number remember on our five oh that uh cool uh the oil cooler that was over here sitting the little uh where the filter adapted to the cooler above it it was damaged that's why the oil leaked out of that one but this one i don't see any oil leaking out the only oil that did leak out is from that line right there which that's probably the transmission oil check the oil in here ready just barely barely but all the lines being busted something that you'd expect and so we're not going to start the car yet because there's no oil in it we'll have to do that later on the process and then that makes us even more excited so when we do start the car but right now what i do want to do i want to grab the jump box right over here unscrew these pieces and i want to get the jump box connected so we can get uh get the car turned on and check it out inside super excited to get this turned on honestly guys this is our first shelby we've ever owned we've owned gts we've owned a roush but a shelby especially i wanted to find a gt350 but once these came out about a year ago i really wanted one of these so i put on hold the gt350 and started looking for a gt500 and finally we got one and we didn't get no normal gt500 we got the gt500 carbon fiber track pack guys this car is absolutely amazing and they are called the golden tickets because all the track packs are a golden ticket mustang this is absolutely incredible guys i cannot wait to start digging into this car and seeing all the damages and just repairing it i know it's hit bad but on a car like this it's definitely worth taking the extra time to rebuild a car like this because first off you have the memory and you then you you know you get the experience on rebuilding something like this and on a car like this so let's get it turned on and check out the interior all right 625 miles man these seats are a little small well they feel really good actually the steering wheel is not bent the steering wheel feels really really good as well so let's check it out all right let's check it out guys it turns on got the ford performance cobra right there the digital cluster this is awesome there's a lot of different options that you can go with uh where what can i show you oh it's not available yet because of all the lights that are on man guys the carbon that's here what chassis number is this 610 gt500 right there the dashboard is not blown got super lucky there but right here got pushed in a little bit the door panel is probably still okay kind of pushed it in from the door but i think that's gonna be okay the headliner might be able to get fixable i'm not sure man just the quality that's in this car i understand that it's a mustang but just how it looks is awesome so super happy with this car guys man i did not think we'd be able to get a gt500 especially this soon but we did and just rebuilding this thing is going to be amazing it feels so good with these carbon seeds and the seat belt i mean the the seat airbag is going to be able to get fixable no problem whatsoever and this is just awesome really glad the dashboard wasn't blown because i kind of thought it was but i don't have to deal with that just the steering wheel i already have a knee airbag from one of my old mustangs that i had and then uh got roof airbags that needed to be replaced all little things in the interior which should not be a problem we got a navigation everything fully loaded in here man this is awesome all right let's go ahead and i'm going to show you guys the back seat here i have not looked back here no back seat got the back seat delete on here because this is basically on gt350s it's the r but this one is the track pack so let's go ahead and pop the trunk and get in there and check it out well this button doesn't work so let me pop it from the inside whew we got a lot of parts in here a lot right here the first thing i see is the 500 from that front bumper put that aside got some oil lines now the carpets i need to use those the basic carpets okay right here we're about to get to the good stuff right here is one of the headlights you guys want to know something these headlights are actually not the 18 or up mustang gts and regular mustangs these actually come with the 15 to 17 headlights they did not upgrade the headlights on these they're still the same but now i have the computers here which is going to make it a lot cheaper for me to buy headlights i don't i can just buy a bear headlight get the computers in there and it's going to work so that's really good hopefully that second one has it as well we're about to take a look and see right here right here we have the axle all of these parts really happy that we can actually get the part numbers from all these pieces and that'll be a lot easier to order all the parts which it's not going to be cheap it's not going to be cheap whatsoever but you know on a car like this like i said from the beginning it's definitely worth it let's keep going see what else we have in here here's the inner fender and honestly this thing could still be okay all of these all these points mounting points are all still here so this part of the inner fender could be okay and that's a real good sign having a lot of these parts in a car just always helps a lot check this out we got a duck too one of the ducks probably for the brakes and that's good as well right here is the second headlight right there and it's got all the computers as well so let me tell you guys the difference between getting a headlight with computers and getting a headlight without computers so with computers they'll probably run around five to seven hundred dollars per headlight and the only reason it's like that i know they used to be a lot more expensive than that but the reason why they're pretty decent price is because they've been out for a while but without the computer you can get them for two to three hundred maybe even cheaper so really lucky i got both computers that i can buy a bare shell and just swap it out and another big thing guys check this out wait look at this another duck that's good this is just a point another duck is good and these probably run you know between 20 to 50 bucks apiece so that's already a hundred dollars right there that you saved and a few hundred on the headlights and look at this this is incredible the spring is in here as well so this spring i don't know how expensive it would be because it's not the track pack sit a little lower than the regular gt500 so having the spring just you know i don't know if it would be more expensive or not but that's already some money saved on that as well so all these parts that we just found inside will potentially save us all these pieces you could probably think oh it's nothing but it could say you know potentially around a thousand dollars right there super glad that they put all these parts inside and like i said the auction i'm really happy on how the guy pulled out like the spare wheel i showed you guys that at the auction we got basically a lot of the components for the suspension except you know the uh the axle right there it's gonna be out and like the control arms but the knuckle itself all those pieces from the suspension i have you know so it's gonna bring a lot of you know it's gonna save us a lot of money with all those pieces and the way the way the guy brought up the car guys i'm really really glad he was really careful he's really kind guy he basically talked to me after and told him it's gonna be revoked on youtube he's really excited to see this car because you know it's one of the first few gt500s that popped up on auction and it's sitting here at our shop so really excited about this all these parts i'm super excited we just found them in the trunk because i seen them in the pictures but i'm not i wasn't sure on where they were because they were not in the back seat and i did not have power to turn it on at the auction but now all these pieces are here guys and it only it only makes me so much more excited to rebuild this car [Music] so this is it guys this is our new build for the channel 2020 mustang shelby gt500 track pack carbon fiber edition top of the line and we are super excited to get to working on this car and this one did come with the recaros which the track pack usually comes with because some of the regular gt500s come with the convenience package but this one also not only has a recaro's it has a carbon package and it comes with a technology package inside with all the tech so that's really awesome and the way this car looks it just looks so mean the front fenders sit really wide right here as you can see they sit a lot wider and that's actually how it goes it sits back and then this flare this kind of flares out on the lip it comes out from the rocker and then this piece right here just makes it sit even wider the fenders sit wide and the fenders are fully fiberglass check this out right there it's broken a little bit which if it was just this we could probably make a mold and fix it but right here from the door opening this was already like this when i got it but that's okay it's kind of like it usually happens on cars so a new fender i think is around 500 if i'm not mistaken so parts shouldn't be too expensive a hood is between 800 to 1100 nothing close to how much it was on the alfa romeo but it's still gonna be an amazing project amazing to buy all these parts and on a car like this it's so worth it so this is it guys 2020 gt500 this car is definitely going to be quite a bit of a challenge we're going to be pulling the motor out of the car to get that front frame fixed the core panel the whole entire interior basically have to be stripped out especially the seeds because they need to be re-stitched in the rear end because we're gonna be changing the quarter panel sections so it's gonna be a lot of fun follow us on this journey of us rebuilding this car and it's gonna be right in the middle of our dream shop build as well and we've got that going on that's soon gonna be finished up and then this card is going to be right in between it's going to be a blast guys so follow our journey stay along we got a lot of awesome videos coming your way so before we finish off this video i'm going to post a couple pictures up here of how the damage was when the guy wrecked it and honestly it could have been a lot worse and as you can see it's not too bad i know it looks bad but the more i look at it the you know the calmer i get because it's not as bad as i thought it would be and cannot wait to jump on it and get to
