I Bought A Police Radar Detector

[Music] going out everybody welcome back to my second video here on doctor club we were here at this abandoned Benny's they used to be able to source called Benny's they would have like random stuff in them but they all closed down which I mean I understand because Walmart's right there and everything in there was sold right there so you know it's just anyways so I am here visiting my family here in Rhode Island for Christmas time and I had a special delivery I don't want to get it delivered to my parents house because you know my parents you know they're super against stuff like this but what I have today is a police scanner this is the escort X 80 I bought it on Amazon used in good condition and buying it in good condition saved me $80 so we're gonna open this bad boy up and we're gonna see what kind of condition it comes in we're gonna install it in the car and we're gonna go test it out it looks like pretty much everything that usually comes with it comes with the box as far as I can tell honestly I was pretty worried it's a good condition and they have like new very good good and then in use acceptable so used good is obviously more towards the bottom tier so I'm expecting some sort of dent something but so far this looks like used a very good almost like new it is a literally perfect it looks like a brand new unit a lot of times when you buy it used good they'll have like a dent or scratches I don't know why they labeled it as used good it definitely is looking like a very good okay this is all brand new brand new if everything looks new everything looks good yeah cool so it comes with a case which I'm probably not ever gonna use because I plan I'm just keeping it up there plus I mean I don't want this bulky case in my car it's got this old phone line cable which is pretty interesting since it seems like I'm probably gonna be keeping this unit as long as it all you know works good when I turn it on I'm probably gonna upgrade this mount because this is the standard mount that's it's somewhat weak if you bump it too hard or you know go over too many bumps in the road and may lose suction and fall off they have a more secure one which would attach to little bar on the back of this mirror and it just hangs down and it has the same connector that this mount has so that's probably what I'm gonna look into buying if I do end up keeping this I'm worried because I'm in this parking lot right here and my brother he found the video in this park long before and the cops came and kicked him out I think it would be pretty funny if a cop comes up and I'm like yes officer like what are you doing here and I'm like oh I'm just installing a police scanner actually that'd probably be pretty funny I hope that happens anyways as you can tell no I don't know if you can tell yeah it's only my second video but I'm still sick not nearly as bad as last time when I was getting all those voicecracks if you saw the other video or I installed those LED headlights which are working really good I'm very happy with them so how do we plug this in I'm assuming just like that boom all right so we got a plugged in then we got a plugged in over here and it's turned on so we have to get this thing mounted so we would just insert this in here I would assume was it lock-in I'm new to this you know I've never had a police scanner before well there's my brother he was in Walmart nope so this one doesn't come with the button my friend he has this button that's like hot wired into this thing and the buttons right here so anytime the scanner starts going off he just presses it and it'll you know stop it from beeping but for me I think I either have to press a mute button on here which is I don't know what I don't know what the mute button is or there's a mute button down there which is this button on top of the plug but for now I really just care about getting this bad boy plugged in so I'm about to do a big drive and I don't want to get any more freaking tickets because I I got pulled over on my way coming across to come here so is this gonna work this doesn't look like it's sticking very good so far not so good why is it pointed like that that's stupid I definitely don't they fell alright I literally don't know what to do so I'm just kind of bending this thing and I light the light the dumb number two with time number two let's see what happens now when we stick it back on I bent the thing and it's still like it's still kind of down dude all right so I pretty much had to crush it down as much as it could possibly go and there we go it looks good it's supposed to be straight and we'll refer to work properly so hopefully it's working let's go try it out okay all right we got ka that means there's supposed to be a capo roof coming on up in the near future all right it's going up it's going up can you see the bar this is the bar so ka is supposed to mean there's a cop radar K can also mean it which is like a different kind of radar I'm not really familiar Oh see here we go we got the cop we got the cop we get the cop it's working except somebody's already pulled over so we would have been good nice is the cop we got the full K oh no u-turns well I guess I shouldn't disobey that sign because it says ka so now I know now I know truck now I know after oh man colt 45 over two ways that afroman so we're gonna knock through the illegal u-turn and we're gonna for some reason come on up here and then pop a ue over here this is actually better than the illegal u-turn because it's like way easier all right all right here we go all right here we go we're going for the thumbnail we're going for the thumbnail attempt come on stay focused stay focused now all right here we go here we go we got another ka and we got a car flying maybe he'll get stopped yup good idea good idea keep flying guys about 50 we got one bar okay right now two bars we got cars they're passing us they're going over the speed limit one of them needs to get pulled over where does this cop where is this cop oh there is look there he is come pay we found you we got 5,000 bars of ka nice all right we got another ka I don't know where this cop is all there is there is days look at them of course a stupid camera one focus and this is another type of symbol it just says K and I'm not completely familiar with the symbol and my friend told me that automatic sliding door sensors and other types of sensors probably maybe something to do with the stop light which that would be kind of stupid if it had anything to a stop lights because there's so many stop what's on the road so I don't think it's that but I think it says automatic doors and other types of sensors like that will set off the K and most of the cops around here use the ka I just I don't know what they mean I know laser would say laser and then there's also one called X and I'm not too familiar but I just wanted to test out to see if this thing worked and the main cops we have around here like I said of the KA so that's all I'm really worried about so we know this thing works and it looks like it's an amazing condition for getting $80 off for buying it on Amazon and used good which I was like really skeptical about doing it skeptical the right word I don't know yeah so anyways to mute it you would just have to press this button down here and then as you can see it says mute and it stops making all the noise like I said my friend he has a another wire that you can buy and it'll just be like a wire with a button attached to it and you can kind of put it over you want I think you can even get it so this button right here this empty button will mute your radar which is something I'm interested in doing I'm probably actually gonna
