Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
You are welcome to disagree with Taylor's choice in casting Miles Teller, but please keep the conversation civil or we won't hesitate to lock the thread permanently.
update from Miles
I am... honestly blown away by how good this is. This is the first video/song of hers I've seen. I understand now why she has so many fans!
I love how even the cake is red velvet.
Yes, I'm just now noticing this tiny, glaring detail. It's wonderful.
Hi, friends! I haven’t commented here before but want to say I love the positivity in this subreddit. I’ve officially put on 🤡 makeup until further notice. Question for the group:
I’ve seen lots of comments about the “A” Taylor seemingly draws on the cake at 1:21 by making one single mark across the tier and what that might mean. I noticed something else and I haven’t seen any comments about it, so hopefully this isn’t duplicative ☺️. Did anyone notice that she drags two fingers across the same spot on the cake in the closing credits (during Blake’s credit at ~5:32)? Blake’s IG post promoting the video from earlier this week also features the same two-mark cake shot. Knowing how much our queen loves numerology, what does everyone think that means? A dual album release coming next? A second collaboration with Blake? Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts! Have a great day, Swifties❤️
Anyone else see the new pictures Taylor Posted? She’s wearing an engagement ring in her left pinky. I wonder if that is her actual engagement ring?!
A lot of cool details in this - at the start and the end the groom’s face is in front of an orangey-red stained glass circle - autumn colours, and the effect is like how saints were shown to have halos in old paintings. Combined with the mirror I think it shows that the groom sees himself as the good guy, even though he is the only one who isn’t wearing white throughout (all the other guests are, but at the end they turn out to be red deep down, like the cake).
I really love the cake anarchy (the little nod to her co-conspirator kid is like a nod she gives at the end of the Shake it Off video, and the throwing the cake backwards against the wall is hilarious). And the walrus bit is awesome too. I did think it was funny she was at the kids table, but didn’t pick up on the potential age-gap commentary until reading someone’s comment on that.
An awesome video.
Just rewatched this and paused some of the quick cuts to go Easter egg hunting, and at 4:56, there's a very quick shot of Taylor dancing with a little girl. It's a bit odd because TS is in the white wedding dress even though it's already turned red. We can't see the little girl's face, but we see that she has long hair (kind of like Blake Lively's??). That's all to say that I think it might be James. Do I have proof? No, but it's odd that the white dress pops up again, almost like this shot just HAD to be included, but it goes by super quickly and completely obscures the girl's face. Anyway, if it is, that's one more to the list of James/Taylor connections and contributions (e.g., Gorgeous, Betty, Renegade). That's one lucky girl!
I don't know how Joe can watch Taylor in that dress and just not immediately fall on one knee
when she made the A on the cake, do you think it was a insinuation to the Red A that was “The Scarlet Letter” by Nathaniel Hawthorne. like oh adulteress! also goes with when people would want a not virgin bride to wear another color like red rather than white. (sorry for my poor grammar but i don’t want to rewrite this haha)
