Hydrogen Engines Don't Make Any Sense

people love engines because they make loud noises but unfortunately they also make a lot of bad stuff so what if you could have an engine that only had water coming out of the exhaust well that's the goal for hydrogen combustion and there are working prototypes it all sounds too good to be true and unfortunately it kinda is that's because fuel cells exist fuel cells which also use hydrogen to make power are about twice as efficient as hydrogen combustion engines that means twice as much power with the same amount of fuel or you can go twice as far on the same tank of fuel so if hydrogen is the fuel source fuel cells are the obvious choice for producing power but hydrogen fuel cells don't really make any noise and again car people love loud noises so ultimately no one is happy
