Hurricane Don returns to tropical storm status, invest 95 loses strength

happy Sunday on FOX 13 meteorologist Tony sidiku with a quick check on the tropics and we'll first take a look at dawn which briefly was a hurricane now it's back to Tropical Storm status this thing is no trouble either Which Way but we'll keep an eye on it as it continues to spin out there the structure has basically impacted and deteriorating as we speak but still a decently healthy storm if you're counting it by the maximum winds we're talking 65 so it's still relatively strong tropical storm movement North Northeast there at 16 but it's still going to stay away from Land as it may be maintains tropical storm status for another day or so then becomes post-tropical as it moves into cooler Waters of the North Atlantic and some wind shear will batter it too outside of dawn invest 95 is the one down here the odds of that one developing have gone down it is also struggling with just limited showers and storms around the enter so the conditions in the environment is in not all that conducive but maybe marginally conducive over the next day or so that this could become a depression but ultimately it's going to take a path into the Caribbean where wind shears forecast to do a number on the storm and and likely not allow it to become anything all that significant that's why you see some of the model consensus here just kind of die off so we're not all that concerned about it we'll keep an eye on it the next name on the list would be Emily if that were to develop here's the fox models representation of the storm as it moves to the West you can see it really has a tough time to really maintain its identity a wind shear as well as dry air a limiting factor again we'll keep it on it nothing else looks to develop but nothing else of note across the Tropical Atlantic Basin as always we keep you posting all things hurricanes all things tropical storm throughout the season on myfoxhurricane.com thanks for watching have a great day
