Hunting for Home Decor for resale at the thrift store - amazing decor finds & haul

it is Monday morning we are tired we are up very late last night processing apricots because it's apricot season but we are going to get to the thrift store on time yeah we are we're gonna be actually probably five minutes early and weather report of the week it doesn't get above 90 this below I'm excited about that I love that kind of weather I can't wait to see where we find at the thrift store last week was awesome we have found a painting valued at probably around 500 dollars sold it for 150 and we paid how much we paid 10 years 10. it's five or ten bucks I'm hoping for another good find this week their weeds are so tall they look like bushes yeah that's just Landscaping out here in Utah they're going to be tumbleweeds only dry out looky there there's already like five people in line on a Monday morning ready to shop shop actually there's about six or seven but not as many people as the chaos from Saturday so I will take a five or six people in the line no problem so the question is are you going to do the yard again because you've been you've been striking out I have to have to go back there I'm gonna go look for more art all right I'm gonna hopefully fill this cart with good stuff yeah art was good for you last week starting in the glass aisle last week I found those really pretty Turkish faces not seeing anything I can't live without um these are kind of fun for fall put some Floral in them oh look at this they wiped it clean which means they probably took it to other places three dollars a piece coming in the cart all right let's check out The Greenery last week we found a lot of really good stuff if there's anything it's funny this has been here for weeks oh this is cute like the little oh two dollars I don't know all right I'll pick it up anyways this is cute for like fall for or for spring little Harvest two bucks is kind of a lot for him but I can still probably sell them for like 4.95 if there's anything on this cart for sure whoa for sure this cake plate I'm so glad I didn't break those I would have felt bad little saucers I'm gonna grab these and see if I can find or at least something that matches them I don't know I feel like it's a mix between some sort of sea bird and a chicken all right five bucks it seems too tall to be a coffee table maybe a big end table I like the style of it but I don't know where we would put it because we're already in the middle of the barn clean out two bucks Matt glass insulators we actually just sold four in the shop I'm gonna pick up all of these for a dollar fifty each they're not like super rare but they're cute and people love them [Music] foreign it is a lamb I kind of like it for not a lamp sometimes I get kind of nervous like I get a little shaky because I'm so excited to Thrift find I don't want to miss anything good and every week you guys will see something be like oh you didn't get that I can't believe you missed that so I'm gonna try to slow down today and sometimes I watch the footage when I'm editing and I'm like how did I miss that I'm gonna rifle through here I'll let you guys know if I find any Treasures nothing I can't live without today so I'm gonna move on I love cobalt blue I don't know if these are anchor Hawking or not but they're a dollar each [Music] should I pick these up what do you think they don't have any markings a dollar fifty look how cute that is that will be proud I found some Mikasa look at this beautiful Bowl I didn't know what it was but then I flipped it over and it's Linux so I'm gonna pick it up and there's two of them someone pick up this because I realized after I got the creamer here's the sugar dish all right metal aisle oh I bought like these like a thousand times they're so cute painted I'm gonna need that and we'll just see what else they have here I pledge allegiance to the flag that's oh five dollars that's spendy looks like a godinger silver that's actually really cool for a dollar fifty corbel shelf doesn't even need painted yes please four bucks see what else they have here a dollar that's actually cute especially for fall and like on the hunt for things for fall displays because it is coming soon especially since the weather is starting to cool down you know that Fall's coming well that's a cool pot it's dirty but that's cute some brass trivets I'm gonna get those for sure last week the Christmas aisle was good to us see if there's anything that we can't live without this week I wish we could find more tree toppers because the tree topper last week was so cute I think I'm gonna pass do you guys see anything that you would pick up here look at that man's cart only three things only three things that's all right it's the day is still young all right we're moving back to this aisle because I didn't take time to look at the pots when I was here turn and we're still on the hunt for cutesy little pots interesting I'm gonna leave these grapes behind well that's a gorgeous Crystal base people ask me how do you know if it's Crystal so this is leaded crystal it's heavy you can see when I reach it up to the lights that's got prisms and there's no seams in it and this is a good brand you can tell by the way it's made it's probably like Waterford or something like that so I'm gonna pick that up for five dollars it's good price I'm definitely no expert at Crystal I feel like I should like tell people that this was here last week and I passed it up I wish it had the lid because that would be really great people love those for like their little bar carts oh hold on there's another little almost lost it I would have bought it anyways that's pretty it's like a Candlestick and a pedestal let's go this way [Music] that's what that is it's a candlestick holder so I need another one I wonder if they have two I wish that there was another one I'm gonna put this in my cart because I'm gonna go look what the salt pepper shakers are at the very least I can put it in its right spot hey I said I was looking for Thanksgiving look at that he needs a paint job it's kind of cute for two bucks I love this I know I bought them a lot but these ones with the little lambs are my favorite two bucks pick up one of these this looks like a partridge or duh that's cute so I know I should be buying furniture but what do you guys think about this for the cottage it's only twenty dollars definitely needs upholstered this cushion is separate but I could just make it all one piece so I don't know if these are real I'll have to ask that but look what I just found on the card love these for the holidays antler sheds if I wasn't trying to buy Less Furniture I would totally buy this desk for fifty dollars I'm actually kind of thinking it would work really well for Frederick's room we're switching Rooms Today I'll have to ask Zeb what he thinks I'm not sure if it'll fit in the Land Rover if we'll have to bring the truck back because I could do it as is like not painted but a cute little chair I like this mirror it's got a wooden frame I have to dig it out and see how much it is So it's 15 I don't know if I fifteen dollars love it but it is beveled which is nice and would be cute with an IOD transfer on it and I haven't done that in a while no art but I know a guy that can put art into these dollar each so I'm out in the yard and I found this it's like a ceiling tin but then it has hooks this would be so cute painted no price on it but I'm gonna grab it and see how much they want looking through the frames and this is dude I'm not a fan of the green but I think repainted this would be darling we'll see with that embellishment on there I found these mugs I think these are the anthropology ones if I remember correctly and they always do well so I'm going to pick up the G and the K they're both a really good shape for a dollar that's super cute I'm glad I didn't miss that it's a dollar and it looks like a little watering can and it's a planter for the wall well I'm not I'm not saying that I found more Johnsons up but I think I found more junk than Zeb what do you say I was fully uninspired today totally uninspired we're gonna find different junk it just means there's something else waiting for you yeah I'm not sad I'm gonna go to another store what if I did not find a match for this salt shaker so I'm gonna leave it here but I did find this dish it's only a dollar and these are perfect for succulent Planters so I'm gonna pick it up not so I went back to take that salt pepper shaker back and I found these beautiful cobalt blue plate symbols they're nice and heavy so I'm going to look up the brand when I get back there's no markings that's why I'm just not but I couldn't pass them up so we spent 151 dollars but that includes the desk so not too bad most of the junk that I have to haul we spent about a hundred and twenty dollars because the desk was actually 30 and that's not for the thrift haul that's just for Frederick's room because we're going to be changing rooms later today for our kids hopefully hopefully no it's it's happening because school's happening I need their closets organized but we're gonna go to the Riverton Deseret Industries thrift store um we don't go there that often and we like to hit it up every now and then just to keep things fresh we hit it about once a month we hit about once a month yeah that's probably about about it but I'm American Fork maybe there's something amazing there today but I'm just not like I'm feeling like if I had was it when you try to find water with sticks oh if you did the witching the with the stick witching my junk witching tells me Riverton is the place to go it is always windy out here look at those that grass every time we walk into this we have wind gusts of 11 we got to go get that tent down at the shop oh the barn sale for sure but yeah it's always windy you're here super excited to be at the desert industries of Riverton we'll see what this thrift store has so the question is since we're at a different thrift store you're starting in the yard yeah I have to it's just the way it is we're going in it doesn't look too busy here so we'll see what we can find and check out the cart first that's really pretty bucks let's do this I'm already feeling good look how cute that is little hermetic jars missing the lid but I love the star design on the bottom these are cute 75 cents that one's chippy dub spring for these but I like the design on this one so I'm going to pick up this one and I'm gonna grab this one just because I think that that's cute for like jewelry or whatever in a bathroom look at these guys just hanging out up here that's a fun basket dollar fifty this is how we end up with way too much stuff we get almost enough at one thrift store and then we find just as much or more at the next great two little USA Pottery Bowl California I like the color on it and it's got all like the cracks and crazing Japanese creamer look how cute that is definitely something Zeb would pick up but I'm gonna go ahead and grab it they've got some mugs I'm gonna leave them we'll see if Zeb picks them up because they also have the saucers but I love this little creamer that's so cute so I like to check these cards before they take them back because this is all new stuff that nobody's really seen before that is interesting I'm gonna leave it here though I am gonna pick up this cake plate because I haven't found one in a while while I'm down here I see a pretty enamel pan look at that I'm gonna pick that up I don't know how much it is but that's right it's only troops so cute cute little vase little maybe aluminum I don't know if it's silver but the patina on it is really good I'm gonna pick this up and it's only a dollar hello chunky knobs three dollars I love that Jamie what are you finding over there good stuff you got anything in your cart of course I do you got anything in your cart yes more than last time nice Definitely picking up this little tote totes have been big sellers for us two bucks that's a really good price I like to look at the wood because these are always really great jumping off points for craft projects so much cheaper than the craft store and you can usually DIY them into something cute your car is looking better good job that's gonna come home with me 75 cents I had a lot of pots here anything else I can't live without it's a fun one I like the texture on it stick through these candlesticks cute I really wish there were two though all right is this metal I like this a lot if it's metal it's from Ikea it's metal two dollars it's a cute brass candle holder perfect for Christmas that is a really cool mid-century modern coffee table not my vibe but if anybody loves mid-century come to Riverton and and save that this is so cute this little vintage set 25 I wish I had Littles I would totally pick that up this is like the original transfers does anybody remember putting these on furniture look how cute this is I hope somebody comes here and picks up this little set for a nursery or like a toddler's room for I would go for these but they're plastic and they're like cast plastic so they've got seams so I'm gonna I'm gonna vote those off the island dollar for that we'll do that one no shelf left behind I love these originally from Hobby Lobby it's eight bucks which is kind of a lot but we sell them for 30. so I'm gonna pick it up these are kind of cool two dollars each sort of nice big hooks do they go like this or oh it was like which direction they go this way I think those are cool I like this little pitcher there's no maker on it I think I'm Gonna Get It Anyway this is new in the box silver plated fruit tray with feet for two dollars Jamie found some jars like this at the other thrift store I think I'm gonna see if I can get this cider off and it'll match her jars so I'm gonna pick them up it looks like they've got a name on them I don't know what that says base made in France oh so they're French I don't like the shades so those are gonna go but I'm gonna pick these up so these are French lamps definitely old you can look at the cord I haven't picked up any frames except for those oval ones yet they're kind of like this one it feels heavy like it's no it's cast but this one's plastic and I don't love the hearts in the corner but this one is like a pressed ceiling tin also like that not that color but I can fix that we've been selling we'll just redo this top part here with some decoupage paper but the rest is super cute she's a little distressing and a magic eraser I also have this cute leather frame that I found and I found this has got a crack in it but it's so cool and then this mirror like lots of good stuff here you just have to kind of like dig through it I feel like these just need a better paint job somebody did a cute job but they need they need they need a better job they need a better job a good good building but bad painting all right so while I've got you here what if I painted these to look like cement I mean you do love yourself they're wood and they've got Metals stems and leaves I died they're a dollar each I think I'm gonna get them I passed this box up earlier but I think I think they're nesting boxes nesting totes okay those are the same size this one is bigger it doesn't even matter if they can Nest I just I think I'm gonna get them stencil them do something cool on them is this pewter I think it is pewter maybe aluminum it's very light it's probably aluminum it's probably not worth much but it's a Christmas tree canning jar for a dollar fifty I'm gonna pick it up I'm gonna grab this too dollars or these ceiling tin shells we can't keep those in stock oh eight dollars it's big I don't know I'll run that by Jamie that's on the high end Jamie got a beveled mirror at the last thrift store but this one is cooler than hers this is this is pressed tin all around the edge this is four dollars someone put some vinyl on this mirror but I'm gonna take it off because another pressed tin mirror I'm going for it I was hoping there were more of these look how pretty this transfer wear mug is it's big too and it's made in England is this a whole set of frames oh nope never mind it's one of those all in one I was hoping it was all individual frames although it could be cool with some prints in it and it's got hooks on the bottom it's 10 bucks I almost want to see what I can do with it it doesn't even really need a new paint job it's already distressed but I bet ya with some better art in there it would do good I changed my mind this Frame is crooked on there and it was bugging me and I couldn't fix it it's like part of it I didn't know I thought this was like a box this is a clock that's metal with a really bad paint job a bird on the top I had to get it I'm checking out the cart here I already found some milk glass some salmon color CorningWare mugs and I think I'm gonna pick up those glasses because they look just like the ones we have at our house that I love that I picked up thrifting for the nice heavy base so I would love to have some more to my set for a buck a piece I'm not a huge fan of ivy leaves it's not a secret but I am a fan of like good crackle and I don't know what do you think I'm Gonna Leave This behind but I'm hoping I'm not gonna be sad about that later nope I can't leave it behind I have to have it a little pie crust Shield I always need more of those for a buck this doesn't have a price on it it's not super old it's porcelain Treasures probably worth about 25 bucks napkin holder I'm gonna pick it up I think it would actually be really cute with a tree in it for the holidays what what's all the big stuff in your cart what is that on the bottom is that car with your desk oh I forgot I also bought those but there's a deer back there's two deer back there they need to be fixed looks like they weren't finished painting we need painted they you can't leave those deer behind your uh you're a junk Hunter get your deer a dollar fifty each I like it so I just randomly pick this up I'm like this is kind of cute and I flipped over it's measuring cups in a Snowman I'm picking that up for two dollars we spent over 300 today and we have never had a Mega Thrift haul like this like I don't think this this car has ever been this full never since we've had it never ever I mean even like you can't see but there's like bags down on the floor underneath stuff what did you buy I don't what bye I was like you're gonna have to help me listen good we couldn't leave at least so when we get home we'll pull it all out it's not all gonna fit on the table I promise you a lot of it is Frederick's desk yeah that's a lot of the size back there once we get rid of that I think it'll be a more manageable horde I don't know yeah we'll see it's going to be fun to go through I was telling Zeb we're gonna have to set up on the bench because we don't have enough space and he's like let me out and I can stack this I said let me get my dad packing skills out he's a dad like he means because he packs the car like Dad packing it's always his job he definitely stacked this up we got it all on the table uh that's like some serious all right guys if we have a thrift haul it's live every Saturday night at 8 30 mountain
