How we set up camp while backpacking! #camp #hiking

we just found a place to sleep for the night this is how we set up our campsite we're walking through a national forest without designated campsites but we're allowed to Camp almost anywhere Renee's usually in charge of setting up the tent and she gives me a hard time when I get in the way and tighten the ropes wrong while I set up the tent Tim usually does the cooking tonight that started with getting water I often lay out my sleeping pad as a chair before taking off my shoes and getting to work tonight's menu is my favorite peanut butter pasta our cooking method requires no drainage we bring the water and food to a boil for only a couple minutes to save fuel then we cover and wait about 10 while it absorbs while we wait we find a good tree and get our bear hang ready for later finally one of our favorite parts of the Day dinner time creamy crunchy full of calories and protein just what US hungry hikers need after dinner we brush our teeth then put all scented items including cooking equipment in our bear bag we double check our backpacks to make sure we got everything we raised the bags into the tree and it's bedtime we always change into a dry layer and get the best sleep of our lives out here
