let's discuss in this video how to use vulcan what is full canopy drive or differences between vulcan vkd 3d and dx vk well first of all let me tell you what vulcan is and after that i will show you how to use it here i will be i will tell you briefly vulcan basically see it you have to see vulcan like a middleman between your game and your hardware you will get better performance better usage for cpu and gpu with vulcan rp driver appy means application programming interface basically is that middleman that that will deliver you the best results vulcan driver it's anyway anyway it's better than um direct 3d 910 11 12 it doesn't matter and opengl and definitely you will see a huge improvement in your games you will have better frames sometimes almost double in in some games anyway any time when you see here vulcan for example here in in doom eternal i have the vulcan active um or if you see here v k d 3 d or d x v k they are the same basically the d x v k will translate um it's an r p that will translate your direct 3dx 91011 into vulcan and vkd3d will translate basically uh direct3d 12 into vulcan they are the same they do the same thing so stop with those comments explaining how different they are they are basically that it's an and that is an app application programming programming interface will translate will be the middleman between your uh your hardware and your game this three vulcan vkd 3d or dxvk if you don't see any of them here you don't have the vulcan active and you have to go here press options go to properties for each game you have to do that press compatibility and here you have to press this force to use um a certain proton i have some other protons installed because um i want to use for example gears five you need the ge proton installed and for that you have to start to select um a version of proton for example you will select proton 638 maybe the vulcan will be active you will see it over there in that in that window here if you don't have the vulcan driver active choose another version of proton um every time when i um when i start a game in my videos i show what version of proton i use every time when i press here gaming for watch this this info in all my videos you will see here um which version of proton it's selected for me um and use it use that version of proton with that version of proton you will get the vulcan active because in all my games i activate the vulcan driver in normal with proton experimental you will get vulcan active in most of the games but not every time and you will you will have to use either vulcan exp proton experimental this one proton experimental or proton 704 most of the game will react very well and uh will give you access to to vulcan driver also um these uh the other three
