HOW TO USE AUTOTUNE THE RIGHT WAY AND SOUND LIKE YOUR FAVORITE RAPPERS

hey was good as white man from internet money as a producer artist general you know lover consumer of music in general I listen to a lot of music you know every day every week every year blah blah blah and I listen to a lot of underground artists to something I've noticed with like underground artists is that when people first get started a lot of people have like really dub sound and Auto - and it's not like to be offensive towards like anybody at all just auto-tune is a very very hard thing to nail I even me personally it took me a minute to get like my chain right and kind of like figure out like what in retune speedy sounds good on me like what no setting sound right on me so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna show you guys how to get your auto-tune sounding good obviously it's gonna be different for every person because every person's voice is unique but I'm gonna give you guys like a ballpark of where I started out how I ended up getting my chain late to where I wanted it and how it fits with my voice and stuff so [Music] all right so you guys should be you just caught the least copy exclusive whatever blah blah blah you got it opening your dog where this pro to logic fo reason makes krav I don't give a [ __ ] on important part is finding out what key your beat is in that's very important when it comes to recording obviously auto-tune on because not in key you're gonna sound ridiculous and although I've heard songs that people have put out and the auto-tune is like not in key and I'm kind of just like what the [ __ ] but it's okay I understand had it most engineers can find the key but some people like myself record on our own and we got to figure it out but if the producer doesn't um you can get this free software called Virtual DJ it's a DJ software but when you drag stuff in it'll tell you why key or you can get mixing key that's what that's like industry standard for finding out what key you know your songs are in this beat is in key minor again shout out death row you put it in the title so I have my recording template up for FL studio' is really simple I have auto-tune 8 and I have a compressor which is waves compressor CLA 3 is mad clutch I literally just have it on start me up and then it just compresses my voice and then yata oh [ __ ] yeah yeah oh yeah so it sounds like that yeah me personally I usually have my retune speed between 10 and 20 because I like a more natural sounding like auto-tune I don't really want anybody to hear that like I'm auto-tune is crazy like all over the place what a lot of people who do and when they mess up they have that I retune speed set to like zero and they sound super robot it like and I hear talking code story of it so it just depends on what you're going for in a song but to get a really natural sounding like auto-tune definitely like 15 20 in and out of here so I can call the story of it so oh I'm not in key but it sounds more like natural it that makes it but yeah reaches me very important because the routine speed basically terms like how much the attitude actually pitches your voice now a lot of people think that auto-tune is literally gonna save you or like make you a better singer but you gotta have some like conception or like understanding of pitch to be able to use out of what a lot of people think is oh if I record auto-tune off up without a tune on the sound like Drake I'm sound like God I'm sound like Jesus like whatever it's like no it doesn't work like that honestly your best bet is to record with auto-tune on because you can start training your voice to actually hit notes so when you record with auto-tune on it's like it's helping you more so it's helping you hit those notes and you have to kind of hear the like in your head I guess it's weird but what you do it you get what I'm saying input type soprano alto tenor Lommel instrument based instrument you know have to worry about these bottom two obviously soprano is like tyreme also sinners like mid-range vocal and low male is obviously like low I haven't heard too much of a difference between these three but sometimes I'll cut in low mil and it sounds really good when I want to get like the greediness and my voice on some records so like it just depends on what sound you're going for natural vibrato and correction style I never tied to either one of those because I don't even do any vibrato my voice I don't need to with my vocal style just depends on you just the artists and I leave all of this over here in stock all this stuff over here in stock and I click low latency mode as well obviously because the FL you get latency when your core your mic so there's that and then I'm gonna change the cue right here and I'm gonna try to sing with this again [Music] yeah yeah okay that sounds cool lately I've Eastern plainly Irish dressed can hold on to my chest [Music] lately I've been stressed for long and my tests actually like that sounds good GI distress hold on my toes yeah also please like don't take like this seriously I got off this is for educational purposes yeah it sounds fine that's really all there is to it I hope you guys can like take my auto-tune settings in kind of like ballpark what you need to do personally and kind of go with that really it's all about retune speed and human eyes like all the other stuff is cool but essentially that doesn't really like define what your voice is gonna sound like so really just focus on finding what routine speed works for you and how you sing and then humanize thank you guys for watching if
