how to unlink your Steam account from your social club account hey everyone welcome back to our channel app guide in today's video I will show you how you can unlink your social club account from your Steam account so make sure to watch the video till the end now previously when playing GTA 5 or other games from Steam and when you launch it it might have asked you to link your Steam account or your social club account as well and when you linked it it gave you a little disclaimer that linking process is actually permanent but then now you've been trying to figure out how to unlink it well let me tell you that even if I go to this official Rockstar Games website which is socialclub.rockstargames.com I sign into my social club account I click on my profile icon and then I go to the settings page over here and then if I go to the linked accounts section here you cannot find the option to unlink your steam account that is because linking a steam account to your social club account is actually a permanent process and even Social Club themselves do not allow users to unlink their steam account however there is still one method that we can actually rely on and that is to Simply contact a support ticket which means to contact the customer care so for that what you want to do is first of all on the top right hand side again just click on a profile picture this time you want to go to the option called help and choose the option called support once you go to the option called support it will take you to support.rockstar10games.com now this is going to take a while to load and over here you can see different types of help that you need with but I'll just choose the option called Social Club over here want to choose Social Club again I'll choose the option called Social Club account so I'll just go ahead and select Social Club account and as I do that here you'll be able to see all these options now since we're trying to unlink it we're going to choose the option called account linking and once I choose the option called account linking over here it says what do you need help with social club account linking now over here you want to Simply make sure to enter your PSN ID for PlayStation gamertag for Xbox or social club nickname for PC depending upon which platform you use your social club account for make sure to enter your nickname and in the description box you just have to mention that you want to unlink your Steam account but you have to copy the ID of your Steam account so open the steam application on your device and click on your profile picture from the top right hand side of the screen you'll see a profile name and then here go to the option called Account Details and once you go to your account details over here you will see all this option and here you'll see your account name and right under it in a faint text you will see your steam ID in this number so this number basically represents your steam ID so just go ahead and copy the steam ID over here and after you copy this team ID come back and then you want to Simply paste this stream ID and you want to let them know that this is your steam ID and this is the ID that you want to unlink now it may take up to seven days sometimes 20 days it may take a long period than that because support ticket is actually that's just how it's going to work but in most cases you have to give a chance you have to submit the web ticket because officially from the settings or anywhere else you will not be able to unlink it that is simply how social club and steam has been working together as of right now hopefully in the future they may come up with an option option to unlink both of these platforms with the users well but currently it is not possible so we have to contact the customer care so hope this video answered your question as to how I can unlink your Steam from Social Club account we hope the video was really helpful and if it did help you then make sure to leave a like And subscribe to our Channel if you've got any more questions feel free to leave them down thank you very much for watching and see you soon in our next video
