well so if you see people asking questions in the live stream and you know the answer it will definitely chime in I'll be putting up comments and questions into the video so we'll be seeing them and talking about them as we go along because I've got some tips for a visiting Vegas but I've seen in the chat already there's many and Las Vegas locals already so I'll be interested in your ideas as well so these tips I'll be sharing in this video are to help you visit Las Vegas to save money and still have a good time as Las Vegas prices and fees have continued to rise resort fees parking fees it seems like pretty soon there's gonna be bathroom fees and free fees for everything it's now more critical than ever to look for money-saving opportunities for your Las Vegas vacation and there's tons of ways save money in this video we'll be covering 25 of them now to be clear this video is not about the cheapest way to visit Vegas it is about visiting Vegas cheap but not cheapest so some things I will not be covering in here I will not be discussing hostels couchsurfing hitchhiking camping there's plenty of ways to do Vegas for almost no money this is not about that this is about how I go to Vegas and how I or you can get the most enjoyment out of each dollar that you spend and you don't have to you don't have to roll like you know two thousand dollars a night at a nightclub to enjoy your time in Vegas alright so let's go on to tip number one the first tip to save you money in Las Vegas and to visit Las Vegas for cheap is to visit during the week you know I know everyone wants to visit Las Vegas on the weekends because the weekends it's when it's buzzing and lively but you know the weekends is when everybody's there and so the weekend hotel rates in Vegas are quite expensive that same room that you'll see you know at the Venetian for $500 a night on the weekend might be $200 a night on a weekday the New York New York might be $300 on a weekend it might be $50 on a weekday so if you want to stay for cheap go on a weekday but but there's an extreme but here check for conventions Las Vegas in addition to being a big leisure weekend destination is also a really big weekday business destination and I know for those of us that visit Vegas to gamble or eat at buffets or things like that might not think about all the business people that go there but there are a lot of big businesses that go there for a lot of big conventions and so if you're there during a week where there's the Consumer Electronics Show or the National Association of Broadcasters show those weeks are gonna be super expensive so check out they have calendars for conventions and you can see how big the conventions are some of the cheapest times to go to Vegas throughout the year is in the summer July in August because it's so hot and nobody wants to be there in those months also the week before Thanksgiving is really good and also around Christmas and by around Christmas I mean the first few days before Christmas and the first few days after Christmas as you get into the new year it gets super expensive again and Shawn who's one of these Vegas local says the same thing avoid the holidays and the big convention dates with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas those holidays are actually quite cheap and no one wanted me to say happy birthday to Grande Molly no one was one of the people that requested this video so no one is for you and for many people who said Chris please do please do a video on Las Vegas all right so let's go on to tip number two the second tip for traveling cheap to Las Vegas is to eat at the buffets for linner Attack is a litter will litter that's the intersection between lunch and dinner of course and so the first thing you want to do is you want to check to make sure the buffet you're going - does not close between lunch and dinner now assuming the buffet you're going to is open all day then what you want to do is you want to get to the buffet 30 minutes before the end of lunchtime you go in you pay the lunchtime rate and then you kind of hang out for thirty minutes just nibbling a bit and then dinner time comes around and you get the dinnertime food for the lunchtime price lunch time in dinnertime prices at buffets Las Vegas can be a huge difference it can be a difference of fifteen to twenty dollars depending upon lunch and dinner the dinner foods are often much better that's why they're more expensive and in addition to just being cheaper this is also a great way to avoid lines because it's a three o'clock in the afternoon there's not a lot of people hitting up that buffet so you're gonna get in you're gonna get there without lines and you're gonna get dinner food for lunch time prices another good option for checking out the buffets in Las Vegas is to check them out for brunch breakfast I find breakfast in buffets is not a really good value but brunch can be because you get a lot of lunchtime foods another suggestion that I have related to the phase is just to do one buffet a day really like more than one buffet a day pretty much overkill and if you're eating that buffet at about three o'clock that's a pretty good time because you can you can really make two meals out of that buffet Jake McShane asks which buffet do you recommend my favorite buffet in Las Vegas is the wicked spoon at the Cosmopolitan I think it's a pretty good mix of quality dishes small dishes high quality things I like the Bellagio buffet and I also like the Aria buffet I think that the Caesars Palace buffet is completely overrated and way too expensive so calset agrees that the Aria buffet is great for linner you can get two for one through the my Vegas game apps that's another great tip that didn't make it into my top 25 I'm gonna mention it now because Seth brought it up which is there's this app that you can play on your mobile device Android or iPhone called like my Vegas slots you place lots in a bunch of different games and if you get enough credits playing these free games then you can redeem them for coupons or free things and so that's a really good way to get things for cheap or free life in the Redwoods agrees and says the wicked spoon is awesome Jude says hey that one at Caesar's Palace which is called bacchanal is number one wicked spoon is number two but I'm biased and I guess in a cheap eats and how to do Las Vegas for cheap see there's a past one's definitely not cheap and I find the lines are just too long I hate if there's one thing I hate about going to buffet is waiting for a long time Carla asks if I use the my Vegas app I personally don't because I don't end up with that much free time to sit there and spin the slot machine on things because I'm typically making videos or doing these sorts of things but Jude says the BI Vegas Facebook is giving a lot of chips today through em life so go and check that out I know a lot of people use it Jay Horn says I found your channel through the Vegas videos hey excellent and no one says what are good tourist spots for cheap prices I think we'll be talking all about that as we go through this video and Nicolas says please do not mention Circus Circus as a budget option because that hotel is awful Nicolas don't worry because if you haven't seen my video on the top five worst hotels on the Las Vegas Strip Circus Circus is on that so I will not be mentioning that as a cheap place to stay all right let's go on to number three tip number three for going cheap to Las Vegas is to skip the rental car this is a question I often get people say hey Chris do I need a rental car when I go to Vegas and my general statement is if you are flying into Las Vegas Airport do not get a rental car you'll be spending a lot of money renting the rental car and then you'll be spending a lot of money on parking my recommendation might have been different five years ago when parking fees were not prevalent across the strip but most of the resorts along the strip are now charging parking fees which can range like if the on the low end for $8.00 from 1 to 4 hours to $30 to valet park at the Bellagio and most of the things you want to see if you're a first or second time visitor to Las Vegas are around the Las Vegas Strip and around downtown Las Vegas and so the rental car isn't really gonna be that useful for you if you've been to Las Vegas a few times you want to go visit the Hoover Dam or you know you're taking a day trip to like the Grand Canyon then get a rental car but I wouldn't get one for your first visit there Stephen goes back and asked about buffets and he says what about the real carnival world buffet Stephen the real world carnival buffet used to be one of my favorites I think it's still a really good solid option but it's not as good as it used to be I feel like they've skimped out on a lot of things the deserts have gotten worse but the Rio buffet is a good inexpensive option that often has a short wait all right Justin Thomas says he just rents a car for the day if he needs it you don't pay for parking and you can get it close to your hotel that's a great suggestion the other reason why I don't recommend renting a car in Las Vegas is because Las Vegas has done the consolidated rental car facility that's like really far from the airport it's like a 15-minute shuttle ride you get there and there's a 30-minute line for the rental car counter I mean it's just it's just awful the College Board asked me what I'm going to do by I do not know it's currently not not planned and Nicholas Bowen says did you hear that Sprinkles Cupcakes left the link that's very sad it was in my top cheap eats video on the Las Vegas Strip I am it's sad to hear that okay so Moises says I understand that there's free parking at the Miracle Mile shops is that true well Moises that's a great question and that leads into number four so the fourth way to travel cheap to Las Vegas is to know where the free parking is now although I said my recommendation is not to rent a car many of you coming to Las Vegas might be driving in I often drive in from Southern California it's about four hours to Las Vegas without traffic from the Los Angeles area and so if you are driving in or you do have a car then you'll want to know where the free parking is so you don't spend a gazillion dollars on parking those parking fees really add up so people often ask me Chris where is the free parking and so as of today November 4th 2019 the free parking on the strip is at the following hotels from the south strip to the north we're gonna go this way the first place where free parking is the oil hotel this was formerly the Hooters Hotel it's about half a block off of the strip Tropicana has free parking as long as there's not a concert at the what the park MGM the t-mobile Arena if there is a concert the t-mobile Arena then the Tropicana it charges for parking going north on the strip and Moises asked this and said is that free parking at the Miracle Mile shops yes Planet Hollywood and the Miracle Mile shops have free parking the Venetian has free parking Treasure Island the Wynn and the Encore Hotel this is actually a positive trend towards pay parking the one in the Encore were charging for parking but in May of this year they've actually gone back to free just across from the win in the Encore you can park for free at the fresh and show shopping mall somebody said don't mention the Circus Circus for cheap hotels well the Circus Circus is good for free parking and Nick Bowen brings that up right there so that's what it is good for the Sahara Hotel which has been named the SLS for a while has free parking and then I don't know whether you call it the strip or not but I'll mention it because a lot of people go to the stratosphere the stratosphere Hotel has free parking as well so those are all of the free parking places and Eric says no more Hooters Hotel yeah as of like a month ago it's no longer the Hooters Hotel it's now called Ohio Ohio which is actually a hotel chain from India life and the Redwoods that Hooters are falling apart it was it was on it was on my worst cheap hotels on Las Vegas trip I'm hoping that oil spend some money to remodel it able end points out if you like cheap eats that cozell Gordo has the best tacos in Las Vegas tacos El Gordo is pretty good it is on my best cheap eats video and by the way if you want to see more on my Vegas videos as your first time find in my channel I got a whole playlist of like 20 or 25 Vegas videos including the best cheap eats and a whole bunch of different things but that one's in my best cheap eats video Sean points out that if you're gonna park at the Fashion Show Mall they do lock the garage at night so yeah you probably don't want to be in there past nine o'clock so thank you for the tip a sir says that downtown Vegas is the best travel cheap tip a sir tell me why why do you like downtown Vegas why why do you recommend that as a cheap thing Alex asks what's the best way to get to downtown from the center strip that is a great question and the best way to get downtown from the center strip is to take the deuce bus there's this bus that runs along the strip you can get a 24-hour pass to ride the deuce for eight bucks so that's the best way to get downtown that'll run all the way down the strip all the way to downtown eight bucks you take it there and you can take it back to all right cheap tip number five numero Cinco is to stay off the strip but not too far away so the reason most people go to Las Vegas is to visit things on the strip and so it might be tempting to stay far far away for really cheap rates but if far far away means you're gonna spend all of your time just commuting back and forth to the strip I actually don't think that's a good deal because I think our time is valuable too but the great things about staying off the strip generally no parking generally no resort fees there was a comment about downtown Las Vegas and Deshawn says downtown properties are way better than strip properties downtown has been having kind of a revitalization of late but Fremont Street is not the best place as Jude points out he says he nearly got robbed on Fremont last visit saw some people tearing apart a stolen purse and dumping it next to Golden Gate that's sad so I personally do not recommend staying in downtown I recommend staying near the strip but just like a block or two away one of my favorite hotels that's just off the strip is Marriott's grand chateau it's a timeshare hotel but they do offer hotel room rates as well you can find a link to that review in my Las Vegas playlist the other area if you have a rental car that you might want to consider is called Lake Las Vegas there's a Westin over there it's about a 25 minute drive from the strip but the rates can be really cheap it's away from the craziness it's a man-made lake but it's an I think it's kind of a neat place to stay all right um dick large says there's too many hookers on Fremont House of Sid said South Pointe was my go-to they had no resort fees that's a hotel that is on the south part of the strip well not even really on the strip but south of the strip Justin Thomas doesn't like downtown because he says they are stingy with free drinks [Music] milik says does the go Las Vegas path pass worth it I just saw for day-pass less than 250 covers lots of shows and a full day towards the canyon milik I I usually those passes on almost any city I find are typically not a good value let me caveat that if you're the kind of person who likes to visit attractions for like just 20 minutes like you want to go into the wax museum and then you want to go in the Eiffel Tower and then you want to go to the stratosphere and you don't want to be in any of the places very long then perhaps those passes make sense but if you actually want to linger and a joy attractions I find those passes don't actually make all that sense and hog Lee says anywhere for free overnight parking hugly pretty much any of those hotels I mentioned they've also got hotel guests that are parking there so you could park there you look just like a hotel guest there was a there was a question earlier and it's kind of gone but this person asks do you think the Hard Rock Hotel is good the Hard Rock Hotel is under renovations so it's closed right now so it'll be interesting to see what it comes back with so I can't answer that because I don't know what its gonna look like Kathy says I stayed at the Circus Circus in 1994 and it was okay obviously it's gone downhill since then hmm it has gone downhill since then and it was probably okay back then grant asks what are my thoughts to the Luxor Hotel I think the Luxor Hotel is a decent hotel if you are looking for inexpensive room rates the Luxor Hotel that's on the south end of the strip between the Excalibur and the Mandalay Bay the Luxor is the one that's a pyramid and you can often get room rates at the Luxor for hmm you know $60 or $70 a night I'm factoring in resort fees and all that stuff into it sure they advertise them for 30 but there are no $30 hotel rooms in Vegas and I think it's it you you get what you pay for their basic rooms they're fairly clean it's not gonna be fantastic but if you're looking for inexpensive and you want clean I think you will find it in the Luxor there was a I know there are some fellow explorers that they actually recently stayed in the Luxor like a month ago and I asked them to tell me hey how did you think it was and they said they got room rates for $70 and they reported back that that they liked it for what it was a fairly basic hotel Sonny says how's the park MGM Hotel great question Sonny you can watch my video I did a review of the Nomad Hotel which is on the top two floors of the park MGM I like if you get it for cheap it's good cuz it's new it's not that busy yet but I don't know that I love it Tom asks if I would choose the win or the Palazzo so I've got a whole video on the five best luxury hotels on the Las Vegas Strip it's in my Las Vegas playlist but in that one I personally put the Palazzo above the whim though the wind could certainly be above that it depends what you like the win and the encore they're good if you like something that's a bit quiet and a bit more relaxed I like the Venetian in the palazzo because I like the whole theme I like the whole gondola things I like the Grand Canal Shoppes I I like that part of the Venetian um Roger asks if I recommend the Mirage I think the Mirage is decent it has a great location I love their volcano show of course you can see that free but I think this the Mirage is great for the location alright let's go on to number six the sixth tip for saving money visiting Las Vegas is also about hotels when you're booking hotels check the hotel websites directly I know in this day and age of the internet and travel aggregators like Expedia and kayak its TripAdvisor it's very easy to go look at those sites and say okay the room rate for this one's about 200 this one's the cheapest at 180 I'm gonna go there for Las Vegas hotels do check the hotel sites directly because it can often be cheaper and you should also sign up for the Players Club that's a whole nother tip but I'll tell you that if you're a member of the Players Club they often offer cheaper rates to members of the Players Club and so another couple things about being parts of clubs or web sites and this is not just being cheap but it's for free if you're a member of some of the major hotel rewards programs like Marriott Rewards Hilton Rewards you will find Marriott and Hilton affiliated properties along the strip in particular the Cosmopolitan is a Marriott hotel so you could book that with Marriott Points the Waldorf Astoria which used to be the Mandarin Oriental you can book that with Hilton honors points I think that one's actually a pretty good point value if you get it for one of their lower points rates if you want to see more about the Waldorf Astoria that's another hotel that I have a full review of in my Las Vegas playlist gustavo says all the shows in Vegas are really expensive are there any ways to find cheaper tickets I will get to that as we come up in one of the future numbers RX says you know hey one way you can save money you can sleep in your car one night that's certainly one way to do it you know one way like if you really want to be cheap I mean a lot of people say Chris I'm fine staying in the circus circus' because I'm not going to spend much time anywhere I mean fly in one day and fly at the next and party all night and sleep on the plane right like Las Vegas is the city that never closes and if you can power through maybe you don't even need a hotel Jude this is a very important point great point Jude do not call in to make your reservation one of the new fees that Las Vegas hotels are adding they are adding a telephone reservation fee if you call them to make the reservation it's gonna cost you more so book it for their website yeah and then related to resort fees you have to be careful at that tom says he's staying at the OIO in February for ten nights the room rates three hundred and thirty dollars which I guess that's $30 a night and the resort fee is three hundred and sixty dollars so it's $36 night for the resort looks fairly typical for Las Vegas where the resort fees often and all the associated fees are more expensive than the room rate it's super crazy so you got to pay attention to the room rate the resort fee the parking fees and the taxes to really figure out your whole hotel rate and Shawn says don't sleep in your car in a casino garage they will ask you to leave that's a great tip Shawn Nicholas says do you recommend the MGM grand um I personally don't I mean it's not that it's bad but the MGM grand is just so huge I feel like it's kind of this huge soulless hotel that often has a ton of tour groups there so that's yeah it's not my favorite place to stay AC Viking says $15 for a phone call it just rude it is rude and Justin and no one asked what's my thoughts on the Hilton Grand Vacations I have never stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations but I'm curious uh there's a 200 W on right now in the chat so have any of you stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations if so what do you all think about it all right let's go on to number seven the seventh tip for traveling cheap to Las Vegas is to book prepaid rates so when you're looking at hotel rates right some are post paid meaning that you booked it and then you pay like when you check out at the hotel but a lot of Las Vegas hotels have prepaid rates that might be half the price of the post paid rates make sure you watch out for that resort fee of course and now if you are not booking a prepaid rate and you booked a refundable rate then you should look two or three days before you're staying which is usually the cancellation deadline it's usually like 48 or 72 hours recheck that rate right before it you might find that the rates are really high when you booked and a couple days before those rates have gone down just rebook that modify your booking or cancel it outright and booked it again to get that cheaper rate I've saved a lot of money often doing that let's see Carla says what's the best hotel for couples you know I I really like it depends what you want in a hotel the the waldorf-astoria I like as just as far as our hotel goes without a casino I really like the Waldorf Astoria it's it's peaceful its kind of serene so that could be certainly one that you could consider I think the cosmopolitan is neat too if you get a room that has a balcony because there are not very many hotels in Las Vegas that have balconies whoo Taiwan says the Venetian was so cool Circus Circus was nice but dated dated indeed and Brian asked me if I would recommend the Luxor I addressed the Luxor earlier Brian short answer is yes all right number eight eighth tip for saving money in Las Vegas is to check for other discounts at hotels many of these strip hotels offer a lot of other discounts including discounts if you're a triple-a member discounts if you're a senior discounts if you're military discounts if you're a first responder police firefighters discounts if you're a student discounts if you're a teacher there are a lot of discounts to dig deep into those discounts and also consider splitting a suite with your friends if you're traveling with 310 friends I don't know how big your group is but you know sweets might have one two bedrooms a few different beds take a look at the prices for sweets because sometimes the price for sweets might not be all that much more expensive compared to a regular hotel room crisp five five nine says the Marriott grande Chateau is great for couples during the off-season that's a great tip the merit Grand Chateau I I like the hotel I think it's a good one it's one where when I if you look at my video review I only gave it three-and-a-half stars because personally I had some issues with the valley parking that was there but it actually is one of my favorite hotels so don't let my three-and-a-half topher rating catch away from it house if said asked if they have a YouTube or discount you know that's a funny question and I'll say I know when I go to hotels I never identify myself as a youtuber because I think hotels hate that right there's like there's been this whole trend about you know Instagram and influencers and people who go to hotels and say hey if you give me a discount or free rooms I'll give you publicity like I'm so not into that when I when I go to hotels actually I generally don't even like to wear my yellow shirt around the hotel because I don't I don't necessarily want them to to profile me as a youtuber though that's not to say that it hasn't happened and if the people in the hotel are people who generally enjoy yellow Productions and they're a fan and they're a fellow explorer or any of you do that then actually I love it when I get recognized in that perspective 101 Star Wars fan asked if I'm drinking in and out lemonade I am drinking in and out iced tea today okay Darcy is leads into my next tip here which is sign up for your players cards even if you do not gamble you can get great rates that's a great tip so tip number nine is to sign up for the players clubs so let's talk about the players go what the heck is a Players Club and you'll see these signs all over the hotels they'll say sign up for the Players Club you generally have to go to the Players Club desk you often can't do it online because they need your driver's license to make sure over 21 you go into the casino you go to this desk you sign up for the Players Club they'll give you a card then it'll often give you discounts or room rates it might give you like you know front of line privileges that might give you some free slot machine play the different players clubs in Las Vegas there's mlife which is part of the MGM Grand rewards program em life if you like reach different tier levels and I'm life then you can also get like free parking and discounts on stuff if you have like Hyatt status you can match to M life as well that's another way to get free parking there's the caesars rewards Players Club so this is all the Caesars Entertainment or Caesars Palace affiliated hotels the Venetian and the Palazzo have one called grazie the Wynn has its own program The Cosmopolitan has its own program called identity and then Station Casinos has its own which is palms Red Rock Green Valley Ranch Palace station and some more and then the Sahara Hotel of the former SLS has one called the code so those are all the different players clubs you can sign up for Paul as if the Heart Attack Grill is open and Sierra gave the answer which is yes it was open when I went to Vegas in July so thanks for answering Paul Sierra I appreciate it leo says hey that are glad to pop in for a live stream Vegas is one of my favorite topics I'm glad to hear some advice from my favorite YouTube Travel Guide all thank you very much leo I appreciate it let's see under estimated fortnight player mentions this one and I think I think I talked about it a little bit but I'll just I'll go ahead and mention it now which is I've seen this video where this dude gave a worker $20 to upgrade to room so this is a tip and many of you explorers have said this has worked for you which is so when you check in to a hotel in Las Vegas it's called like the $20 sandwich where you write you generally have to give your ID and your credit card where if you stack your ID in your credit card and you have a $20 bill folded in it and you give it to them as you're checking in and you say hey I'd appreciate if there's any upgrades well the front desk person might understand that that $20 is a tip for them and then just might look on your upgrade request higher and martin says yeah that tip works like a charm if the hotel isn't booked solid and if it is then you probably just gave $20 and it didn't uh it didn't do you much of anything but uh hey and Magnum says he loves my kawaii videos all right thanks Magnum I appreciate it all right number it's grown um Burt n tip number ten for cheap Las Vegas is to avoid the taxis the taxis in Las Vegas are really expensive and so if you want to get around Las Vegas I already talked about skip the rental car rental car is gonna cost you a fortune skip the taxis too and you're like I'll get crisp how do I get around take uber take lyft take the bus take the trams maybe even consider the monorail so let's talk it let's let's kind of decompose some of those so if you're taking uber and lyft the thing is the hotels make it kind of inconvenient because they let taxis pick up in the front uber and lyft you generally have to find them in the back or in a basement level or things like that for the uber and lyft pickup uber and lyft will also not pick you up right along the side of the strip because there's no place for them to stop the bus Las Vegas that's a really good bus that runs up and down the strip it's called the deuce bus it's $8 for a 24-hour pass now the trams there's a number of free trams that run between various hotels there's one that goes between the Mandalay Bay the Luxor and the Excalibur it's free it runs every twenty ten minutes so if you're staying at the Mandalay Bay it's a good way to get into the strip to the Excalibur to take that there's also another tram that runs from the park MGM it used to be the Monte Carlo it runs from there to the Aria to the Crystal shops to the Bellagio there's one that's under construction right now that goes between the Mirage and the Treasure Island I feel like that one's kind of useless because they're right next to each other and then related to the monorail so there's this monorail that runs along the backside of I'll call the backside of a lot of the hotels in Las Vegas it's useful if you're staying at one of the ends of the strip and the monorail stops at your hotel so what do I mean by that if you're staying at MGM Grand monorail can be really useful because it stops right there if you're staying at the SLS or the Sahara that's the other end of the strip it can be really useful for you too also if you're staying by the Convention Center there's a monorail stop by the Convention Center and so that's useful too Carla says the monorail is a no-go actually in general if you're not staying at one of those hotels and you're not going to one of the places the monorail things then it's a no-go but if you're staying at one of those hotels that has it in there like you could stay at the MGM Grand walk down the strip to Bally's and then take the monorail back again the monorail is also really useful if you're going to the convention center because if you're there for a conference that's their right taxis uber lyft can be pretty expensive and you can get one of the monorail passes but Justin does point out yeah the station's can be like a far walk through the back of the hotel so don't use it to just like hop between things Martin says what's the best pizza in Vegas um I like at least as places that you can get pizza on a slice I like the New York pizza place inside the New York New York Hotel it's called like Rocco's pizza they have like Sicilian style pizza cuz I just like the square pan pizza also in the Aria I like 554 they're slices in there all right and Tiffany says the monorail also helps in the summer during the heat because it's air-conditioned that's a great tip all right so before I go on to the next number as many of you know I've been accepting submissions for Topher Topher the my wonderful loving Travel Panda was stolen in London and so I have three Topher submissions to show to you all today and I'll share these with you and then I'll get back to our regularly scheduled tips right here so the first toe for submission that I want to share today is this guy right here this is Topher submission number oh I lost the numbers but I think this guy's number 11 he was submitted from Joan in Victoria British Columbia Canada look at this he's got a custom-made yellow jacket he's got this custom-made yellow bag right here and what's inside this yellow bag what does he travel with well he came with a passport he came with a camera to take pictures and he also came with Ton Ton Ton where is it he's got to keep his teeth clean and so hard to get out of this bag and done you know this is the power of life television he also came with a little thing of toothpaste right here toothpaste camera and the passport actually has little pages right in there so thank you very much Joan for this wonderful panda complete with the outfit and the bag I really appreciate it okay I'm gonna introduce the other two pandas as we go on through the livestream all right so let's go on to tip number 11 tip number 11 coupons people often ask about coupons I talk about coupons my best cheap eats video I say you can often find coupons where do you find coupons there's lots of fliers along the strip you'll find it where people might be handing out the like pamphlets for like stripper cards and things like that but you'll also find coupons in there flip through there find coupon books for restaurants fast food shows another couple great online place for coupons is Groupon Groupon you do have like buy them so things will be discounted travel Zoo is also a great place to a great place to find online discounts and Sierra says that Topher this one right here is her favorite so far woot I thinks it's really cool Nicholas says I like that one melissa says super cute Carla says pick him yet this one Joan was totally amazing for making and send it on this guy so thank you Joe okay now we are on number don't dun dunnnnn 12 alright tip number 12 if you're going to nightclubs get to nightclubs early what do I mean by early I mean like the first hour that they open nightclubs often have free admission the first hour you can also visit the club promoters on the strip to get free tickets you'll find the club promoters along the strip you'll also find them often maybe at the front of hotels and things like that in my video about Las Vegas scams I talked about the club promoters and then people say Chris you hate on all Club promoters they're not all awful yes what I said about Club promoters just to be clear is the scam is if somebody on the strip is trying to sell you nightclub passes never buy nightclub passes from anybody on the strip the legitimate club promoters they'll give you coupons or things like that that then you use for free admission or free drinks so this and that so go ahead and accept their go ahead and accept their free offers or cheaper offers to get in the clubs but make sure you do pay attention to the time restrictions on them because they often have right there letting you get in for free so that the club can be hopping when other people come in also hotel guests might get in free or discounted certain clubs another way to get into clubs like if you want to get into towel which is a really popular club in the Venetian you can eat at the Tao Bistro and then that often comes with free admission to the club and finally I will say table service is a ripoff you know that might be a way that the people in the club will say lads full but you know if you buy a table for like two thousand dollars then you can get in the club seriously please do not spend $2,000 on table service that is crazy let's see Nicholas asked if I have any cool new cheap eats ahh nothing to add at the moment I think but Neil says Earl of Sandwich at Planet Hollywood it is it's one of the ones that's on my cheap eats list you know I think going back to Nicholas I mean I think Eataly is pretty neat it's not super cheap but it's fairly inexpensive so if you haven't checked out eataly that's in the park MGM I would encourage you to do that yeah Moises says general admission and clubs are ridiculous and a drink is normally 20 bucks it is which leads me to number 13 tip number 13 if you want to get drunk or you want to drink and you're going to the clubs you should pre fuel while you are gambling right in Las Vegas drinks are free if you're gambling the waitresses come over or they'll say like hey what drinks can I get you they might take a long time to get because they are free it's generally expected you'll tip like $1 per drink but think about it a dollar per drink or $20 per drink I think the dollar for drink is much cheaper and you know but make sure you're not gambling the house away and make sure you're not gambling more than it actually cost you to get these free drinks Sean says if you're going to a club get on the guest list is great for ladies and mix groups male only groups clubs aren't friendly no legitimate club promoter ask for cash I can help with clubs too it's sin like send without sin okay sin thank you sin so if you want any help with clubs let's send know he can help you out the Cromwell says dick says Cromwell has three chili dogs or $5 that's a pretty good deal and seth has accepted my challenge to pay for table all right Seth looking forward to your video at whatever club you're going to to pay that Neal says Taco Bell Cantina is awesome talk about Contini is a pretty neat place Carla says that's on her list and Nicolas says I love it too all right let's go on to number 14 tip number 14 and somebody mentioned this over here done Justin said don't bite drinks from casino bars either gambling get them for free or bring one from your room or from CVS so this tip is about CVS Walgreens in the ABC store so if you're looking for water snacks or even alcoholic drinks check out CVS Walgreens and the ABC store CVS Walgreens they are supermarkets they are drugstores to kind of have like a supermarket thing to them the ABC store it's a convenience store from Hawaii I really love the ABC store particularly for souvenirs and food the CVS and Walgreens are pretty easy to find on the strip because they have locations right on the strip if you're looking for ABC stores they have three locations on the strip one is in the showcase mall which is the one that has the coca-cola bottle the second one is the Miracle Mile shops that's in Planet Hollywood then the third locations in the fashion show mall that's the mall across the winning encore that has this big UFO looking thing on it if you have a car go visit Costco go visit Target and related to CVS Walgreens you can also get food there you can get like sandwiches and things like that that's a pretty good way to eat for cheap cuz eating on the strip is expensive yeah if it gives a good suggestion which is another great way to get cheap food is to order post mates or uber eats from your room that's a great tip obviously if you're in a huge hotel that's hard but if you're in like an off off strip place then that's a lot easier James says though if you're looking for a souvenir is the cheapest souvenirs are at Fremont Street Fremont Street does have some really cheap really cheap options and Martin said the same thing stock up on your alcohol at one of the many CVS on the strip don't buy alcohol in the hotel stores yeah only if you want to spend a fortune and a half all right so let's go on the number 15 10 number 15 related to eating so if you don't want to do read so you don't want to buy to CVS well then eat off the strip you know everything on the strip has a huge markup there's a lot of really great places to eat off the strip my recommendation is just to use Yelp there's a lot of great places to eat there's like some barbecue place in the strip there's a Chinatown I think Las Vegas it's actually a really good foodie City and it's not that hard to find it so for the for my international explorers out there if you haven't heard of Yelp Yelp is an app for your iPhone or Android device you can also go to their website but basically it's like a food rating thing where people like rate on a scale of one to five stars how good the food is I think it's a lot better than TripAdvisor for actually good reviews of things now I have to say you do have to be aware of the Yelp bias which is the kind of restaurants that get good reviews on Yelp are the hole in the walls then have like three tables or no place to sit because it's cool to discover this place and Cheesecake Factory which i think is a good restaurant always gets like three stars because it's never cool to review Cheesecake Factory Travel Explorer Creek says hey Chris loved the live stream and info I see you had in out again today I sure did and travel Explorer click it's great to see you again too josh says drink plenty of water that's a great tip Las Vegas is a desert and it's hot and so Nick says take a big canteen filled with water take extra waters from home do not get water from the strip hotels you know water for mister hotel can cost you like seven to nine dollars I conversation about in and out in now it's good Neal says Shake Shack is better than fighting words Neal alright you know what I love to do is I love to go to Shake Shack and I'd love to wear my in-and-out burger t-shirt when I go in the Shake Shack that always gets that always gets great laughs Travis family travels us if you have any great ideas for sushi you know I personally don't have any great recommendation for sushi cuz I feel like the sushi and Los Angeles is just fresher so we don't generally eat sushi and we go to Vegas but for those of you on the live stream now it's just about 300 for those of you who eat sushi in Vegas let Travis family travels know in the chat where you like for sushi help out a fellow Explorer tip number 16 cheap eats on the strip okay so I said eat off the strip but look you're gonna eat on the strip cuz you're on the strip that's where we spend a lot of time so I have a whole video about cheap eats on the strip but I'm gonna summarize some great locations you could go to if you want kind of quick fast food cheap food there's a few good food courts along the strip one is in the fashion show mall that mall that's across in the win and the encore that has the UFO thing on top of it up on the I think it's the third floor the top floor you can get there right off the strip there's a big food court up there a lot of good options good burger place in there called the habit burger it's a burger place from Santa Barbara go in there and get there Santa Barbara style char burger grilled sourdough bread avocado really delicious another food court on the other end of the strip is in the MGM Grand it's like way back in the back and the basement some good cheap eat options in there the new york new york hotel has a lot of good cheapy things in there I like Rocco's pizza in there I also like the Jewish deli in there for their pastrami sandwiches and just on the outside of the New York New York Hotel there's a place called Brooksie which sells these chicken and waffle sandwiches there's also Shake Shack in front of the New York New York the Venetian Hotel has a food court in the Grand Canal Shoppes and but if there's one place that's my go-to for cheap eats one hotel it's the Planet Hollywood Planet Hollywood has the Earl of Sandwich which is my favorite sandwich anywhere it's right off the strip right in there there's a lot of other great great options at Planet Hollywood - the one food court you do not want to go to is the food court at Caesar's Palace it has many of the same options at a lot of these other food courts just for a 30% markup there's a Earl of Sandwich in Caesars Palace it charges 30% more at Caesar's Palace then at Planet Hollywood so do yourself a favor go to Planet Hollywood for Caesars Palace all right woot I won I was to the rescue about sushi he recommends Kabuto and oh my sushi in Las Vegas Thank You Wutai I appreciate it there's another vote for Brooke C sin and gives another vote for Earl of Sandwich House of Sid says Raising Cane's was a must for us in Vegas and house of said I assume that was off the strip right that's not on the strip house of Cain's for those who don't know sells like like chicken fingers Vic Lau says my favorite cheap E is Mon Amiga B I've never eaten there melissa also loves the habit and Tom said Panda Express and SoCal Seth says if you like ramen jigna ramen huh agnostic and says any authentic Asian buffet in Vegas you know I've got I got this saying about Asian buffets or at least about Chinese buffets I say you can have two of these three words in a sentence good Chinese buffet you can't have all three there's no such thing as a good Chinese buffet there's a good buffet the Chinese buffet but there's not a good Chinese buffet I I have not found the Asian food on the buffets in Las Vegas to really be that fantastic let's go on to tip number 17 all right this is happy hour and graveyard many Las Vegas restaurants offer happy hour usually around 5:00 p.m. so you can get drink specials and appetizer specials but the other thing to check out our graveyard happy hours that are at like 10:00 p.m. or late at night so check those out tip number 18 if all this eating outs way too expensive a great way to save money if you like to cook is to book a room with a kitchen and cook I mentioned the mayor at Grand Chateau they have kitchens if you book one of the residents ins they have kitchens too so if you want to know more about the Merritt grand Chateau you can find a link to my playlist on Las Vegas videos the mayor grand shape Chateau is linked up in there there's a lot of timeshares that'll have those as well me personally I don't I don't cook when I'm in Vegas though I will often get like my breakfast things to take to my room where I might get a pastry and something like that from CVS and take them there cuz it's easy just to have some milk and some desserts in there Gabe wants to know what kind of watch I have on I have on a Casio g-shock yellow of course number 19 show tickets somebody asked about this earlier actually a few people asked us earlier how do you get discount show tickets show tickets can be really expensive step number one is to go to all the half-price ticket booth there's a lot of ticket booths along the strip that offer half-price show tickets like that's often their name the tickets actually aren't half price they're maybe two thirds of the price they are typically for shows tonight tix for tonight they want that the name of the main one and the tickets are generally either for tonight or for tomorrow night at the tix for tonight booths you can also get discounts on buffets discounts on attractions you can also find discount show tickets on Groupon you can find discount show tickets on Vegas com so those are ways to get discount show tickets related the kitchen's Jessica and Martin said that the signature at MGM has them too so thank you both for that suggestion Nick wants to know what I think of the rainstorm show at Planet Hollywood it's the free show right that's the show in the Miracle Mile shops mmm it's one of the lamest free shows on the strip I have a whole video about the best free shows on the Las Vegas Strip you want to see that link in the description below but like Bellagio fountains and the mirage volcano are the two like must-sees and johns joining me from Scotland hey there John from Scotland tip number 20 timeshare presentations if you want free rooms free show tickets go to a timeshare presentation provided you don't value your time you hit my Las Vegas scams video I said I think timeshare presentation is one of the biggest scams in Las Vegas but lots of people push back and said Chris we've been able to get lots of free stuff by going timeshare presentations we love the timeshare presentations so if you find that exchanging your time for free things is a good use of your time on vacation by all means check out the timeshare presentations but please do not buy a timeshare please and please do not go to a timeshare presentation and then say Chris you told me to go there and I bought one is it because of you that I'm stuck in this timeshare for the rest of my life that is more because other people recommended it I'm passing that on Kathy says I own a timeshare I don't need to go to a presentation all right there you go Travis family travel says run as fast you can yeah and by the way the tip if the timeshare people annoy you that come up to you on the strip I'll ask you questions like hey how's it going what's your name how long you in town for you always say I'm leaving in an hour I'm leaving in an hour I'm leaving right I'm leaving in an hour if you're leaving in an hour they are not they are not interested in you at all Travis family travel says yeah that 45 minutes turns into six hours of high pressure sales I agree that's why I say only if you don't value your time all right let's go on to a couple more the pandas that got sent in so we've got this panda right here chubby panda chubby panda is from Mike and Allison in Arizona this chubby panda originally comes from the San Diego Zoo Wild Animal Park that's a mega zoo has two locations the Wild Animal Park Earth is now so far apart is the big one and then so thank you very much Mike and Allison Arizona and then right here we have this beanie baby panda this one is from Cyrus and Jennifer in San Diego this might look similar because we did receive a twin back there from Canada so thank you Cyrus and Jennifer in San Diego all right let's go on to number 21 tip number 21 for saving money when you go to Las Vegas is to buy your attraction tickets online I mentioned this earlier with like tix for tonight you can get attraction tickets at the booths but you can also get discount attraction tickets online two of the best sources one is Vegas com Vegas com the other one is Groupon two-for-one tickets I wouldn't go many other places in this because there's a lot of like travel scams where people sell fake tickets to fake attractions but I think if you find two for one attraction deals on Vegas calm and Groupon be pretty legit and can save you money and Nick said about about chubby panda he looks almost like Topher he does look almost like Topher little chubbier version a little bit bigger but uh he's uh he's a pretty good likeness okay tip number oh oh oh ah that's fine that's why have no more numbers numbers and I only ever put 20 numbers in this thing so we're out without the digital numbers all right tip number 22 if you're flying to Las Vegas consider Southwest Airlines to your flight why Southwest Airlines two bags free tickets are changeable if you're booking Southwest you often won't find it on the travel aggregators you need to go to Southwest comm the search and booked the flights on there and make sure you book three weeks out for their want to get away fares if you are flying and you want to know more about cheap flights I've got links in the description and in the pinned comment on my video about how to get cheap flights so more in that video but 23 beware of the discount carriers beware of spirit beware of frontier these are airlines that these are airlines that will also often charge you more in fees than the price of the ticket itself so they'll seem cheap but they actually really aren't if you're coming from nearby like Los Angeles and you want something that's really cheap you can consider a bus there are bus operators that'll come from like downtown Los Angeles to Las Vegas for as cheap as $13 one-way there's a company called coach run and and they operate buses from downtown Los Angeles and Chinatown 13 bucks to get yourself into Vegas so that's like dirt cheap number 20 for a second to last one outlet malls if you're looking to do some shopping don't shop on the strip strip shopping really expensive so go to the outlet malls there's two major ones there's one by the airport and there's one by downtown Las Vegas they're basically on other ends of Las Vegas Boulevard if you kind of drive along Las Vegas Boulevard in the direction the airport or in the direction downtown Las Vegas you'll run into one of these too these are the best places to do shopping all right so before I get to the last tip it's time for the giveaway for those of you that are regularly on my live streams you'll know I always give away something on one of these live streams today I'll be giving away a yellow productions t-shirt and by the way if for those of you who are watching if this is your first time yellow productions and you haven't already make sure to subscribe hit that belt or turn on notifications so you get notified a future live streams like this in the future I plan to do an upcoming live stream talking about all of the Las Vegas hotels on the strip giving you my opinions of all of them in one video from Mandalay Bay in the south to the Sahara in the north but the question is this panda right here with the yellow shirt and this yellow bag this panda came with three items in this yellow bag from Joan what were the three items in this yellow bag the first person to answer that question gets a yellow productions shirt that I will ship to them anywhere in the world and while you people are answering that go to a few comments as the answers roll in house of Syd agrees that outlet malls in Vegas are great Martin says when I fly spirit I wear a week's of clothing so I don't have to pay the carry-on fee that's one way to do it no one says I wish we could buy the t-shirts you know but the fact that you have to win them makes them even more even more valuable and sin was the first person with the right answer sin says that Panda had three items that Panda had a camera that panda had a passport and that panda has toothpaste he is ready to travel all right very good send so everybody gives Sen a round of applause Sen let me know where you want me to send your shirt and what size you want you can let me know either via Facebook message there's a link in description to my Facebook page or you can send me an email with Chris at yellow net with two double use two double use yellow dotnet alright and thanks to everybody else who answered the next giveaway and the next live stream will be for another yellow production shirt so tip 25 this is the last tip and it's about gambling if you are gambling please set a gambling budget way too many people go to Las Vegas and lose way too much money so if you are going to gamble decide how much every day you're going to gamble and don't lose any more than that for me it's like twenty bucks I just thought hey look 20 bucks I'll put this in the slot machine or I'll do this and I you know I'm gonna lose it cuz that's what you do with gambling but I don't feel so bad you know there's this joke you might have heard this joke about about my friend who went to Las Vegas and he drove there in a $60,000 car you know and he came back in a $200,000 Greyhound bus so you don't want to be that person you don't want to be like my friend so question is always when when is the next livestream well the next livestream is going to be in two weeks count them two weeks because next Monday is Veterans Day here in the US so please remember at your veterans on the 11th so the next livestream will be on Monday November 18th 8 p.m. Los Angeles time I look forward to seeing you all then if you want to see more of my Las Vegas videos find the no one to you and a shout-out to Grandma Lee who no one was on people that suggested this and with that I won't say goodbye because I'm gonna see you in the next video and lastly if you want to know what music I use in this because people asked that in the last one in the intro and the outro well in the description I have the names of the songs that are in the intro and outro alright keep on traveling [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] you
