what's up guys it's Joey here with track of catfish and I got Marley behind the camera today so since we posted our how we rigged up our polls video we've had probably 10 to 15 people messages asking us if we go over our snail not more in detail if we slow it down kind of zoom in a little better so that's what we're gonna do in today's video and hope y'all like it alright so all we have is Charlene big game this is a 50-pound test I normally do my leaders in 60 but I wanted y'all to be able to see it a little bit better in this video so I went with this high vis green that they have which is pretty cool and then we just got one of our regular circle hooks the triple threat from whisker seeker it's a 10 on that's all we're gonna use today alright so I cut me a piece about a foot and a half two foot I always like to cut a little bit long whenever I'm doing this so I have enough to work with so when we do this the first thing that you have to know is you want whenever your rigged up completely you want this line coming out of the front of the eye if it's coming out the back so say if it's through like this and it's coming out the back of the eye you're not gonna hook them fish up or it's gonna foul hook them that's not the way the circle hook is supposed to be it's supposed to be coming out of the front of the hook like this right here so when we start to put it through the front come out the back we're gonna give ourself about six to eight inches a tagline back here I like to do a lot the way I can work with it that's why we cut it long to start I'll make a loop put my thumb on it on the high just like that we have just a look I'm taking my tag in and I'm gonna wrap it around the shaft of the hood from the bottom up to the top seven times so one two three four five six seven when I get to seven I'm gonna take our tag in and I'm gonna put it back through the loop like that right there so it's coming out the back of the hood through that loop so I'm gonna now at the same time that I'm pulling this mainline holding it tight I'm gonna cinch this one down also and that's gonna bring our loop in and actually tighten the snow not to the shaft of the hood I'm gonna pull both Li at the same time just like that right there and I'm still holding this one tight on our tag in and now I'm just gonna pull our mainline and it's gonna cinch it to the hilar hood just like that so now what I like to do if you watch me my other videos I like to tie a little safety knot is what I call it so just an overhand knot with our tag in right here just time either basic overhand knot and get it as close as I can to the shaft of the hood just like that no I'm gonna cut this off the reason I'll tell ya a little safety knot right there is cuz when this mono gets wet it likes to slide through your knots and when it gets pulled tight it watch this side through so for some reason this comes loose or something and it starts to slide through our safety knot will be caught in our snow knot right here and it won't let it pull it all the way through but that's it that's the basics no not right there the reason you want to use a snow over any other kind of hood or other kind of knot like a Palomar anything like that on your circle hooks it's just the way that it comes out the front of the hook right here it just increases your hook ratio by a lot now you can I've tied other nut hooks with the Palomar knot and stuff like that and I've had good hookups but this one right here the ratio is way better than the other or not I can fine okay so that's our basics now not the easiest way we found to do it it's quick simple and we can tie a bunch of them really fast so that's what we're more so for the ten to fifteen of y'all that wanted to see this I hope you enjoyed it hope you liked it anybody who didn't want to see it and happen to run across this video we appreciate it hope you liked it too if you're not a subscriber to us give us a subscribe and alike and if you all have any videos you want to see by all means leave it in the comments or something like that message us cuz that's where we're getting most of the ideas for these videos is from our subscribers they're letting us know what they want to see and we're doing it if we know how if we don't know how we're YouTube and we're figuring out how to do it so but anyways thank y'all a lot for watching we appreciate the support we're trying to grow this as much as we can just to teach everybody the small things about fishing like knots and stuff so they can go out and anybody can catch the trophy catfish we appreciate it y'all and y'all stay safe out there
